sorry for commenting on an older post but! the holiday version of darling was the version they used at their japanese BeTS concerts! they sang it during the encore, while coming through the crowd on little carts haha

Wasn't expecting this, thank you for doing a listening party for this. I have few things to say about this album. First off when you said that Dream was therapeutic I could not think of a better word to summarize it. It gives me the same feeling when I listen to _World, just pure chill. The Japanese ver. of Rock With You may not be as good as the Korean but it does live up to the expectation plus I saw some discussion over twitter how the lyrics for the Japanese ver. actually makes more sense or that it explains the meaning of the song more clearly. All My Love, now this song just hits so hard in Japanese, I wasn't expecting it to be that good. I mean I was expecting it to be good in Japanese but wow this exceeded my expectations, it sounds ethereal and dreamy. The holiday ver. for Darling may not be my favorite but it's nice, it's something I can listen to every now and then when I want to listen to something different. Overall it was an amazing album, I now understand completely why Seventeen is so big in Japan. Also just wanna share that I'm seeing them live again this December and I am badly hoping that they'll perform the same songs that they will during the dome tour.

while i prefer the original korean versions of all the songs more, i have to say svt's japanese versions of their songs are some of the best in kpop in terms of phonetic translations. the phonetics are usually why i dont like translations of songs, especially from japanese to korean, since i feel like the production of the songs rely heavily on the language itself so translations can be a big miss most times. but svt seem to be getting better & better with it so i really enjoy listening to their japanese versions. speaking of semicolon, i was wondering if you still had the lp backed up somewhere since it got blocked. i wouldn't be surprised if you don't since it was 2 years ago but just in case i though i'd ask lol. thanks for the lp pd!!!

Wow I never even knew about this version of Darling until I decided to watch this! If I'm being honest, something similar happened to me about how something told you to listen to this album today. I saw the notification for it, and I usually don't listen to Japanese albums cause I prefer the Korean or if there are oroginal Japanese songs on the album. Something told me to just watch your reaction. And cause of that now I know this version of Darling exists and my life is forever changed now so thank you! Darling has become one of my fav Seventeen songs along with Rock With You! But this version... holy fuck!

PD!! SEVENTEEN performed DARLING HOLIDAY VER in caratland last year i believe. It felt too familiar, like i have seen them perform this somewhere, and there it was. 🤣🤣🤣

Seventeen actually had a collaboration with Apple in August in which you can remix and play with Dar+ling on the IOS app Garageband. I've enjoyed trying to make my own version of the song and listening to the Holiday version inspired me to make one even more. XD

i had the same reaction listening to this version of darling, it literally made me tear up IT'S SO GOOD and this whole japanese album took me by surprise because i think it has most of the best japanese translations of previous songs<3

Honest to God, I loved this EP. I usually don't love Japanese versions of Korean songs and viceversa, precisely for the flow as you said (Looking at Fallin' Flower right there -.-') But honestly, these might be their best yet. My personal favorite is All My Love. As soon as Woozi went "Boku no ai wa kore dake..." in those first two seconds,I knew the flow was going to be beyond perfect. The original hits me so hard on a regular day, and this one just took it up several notches :P

I think for SVT their songs from Korean to Japanese work a lot better than the other way? Omg yes I absolutely love that extension in Darling's bridge was something I always wanted to hear in the original, but it does make me appreciate their differences
