Hopefully we see Haruka in the future if she still wants to be an idol!! Maybe I-land 2??? I see her crying on my screen for 2 minutes and I already have that instinct of must protect!

They cut Garam's parts so well, you can only see her hair, like glimpses.. They cut her out after debut. I hope Hybe can include Haruka in i-land <3

I get the overall impression that they basically brought in Kazuha to replace Haruka as the second Japanese member in the group (side note but I always felt that they were targeting Japan with LSFM from the very start since they recruited members who were popular there). But I do wonder if they decided to drop Haruka because she didn't quite fit the concept they were aiming for and then found Kazuha afterwards or if they just happen to get Kazuha's audition video and then decided that she would be a stronger member for the group over Hakura (I don't think there was any chance of ever having 3 JP members in the group) On another note......I will probably bet money that Haruka will end up competing in I-Land S2. There HAS to be a good reason why she got so much screen time in LSFM's documentary lol. It's basically free promotion for the girl and I think it worked since I'm actually ready to root for her.

And yeah.......Garam debuted with LSFM during Fearless era and went on hiatus when her "bullying" scandal erupted. She was eventually dropped by HYBE since the public opinion of her became super negative in Korea and couldn't be turned around. This documentary came out quite a while after she had left and she was edited completely out of the documentary since she's not a HYBE employee anymore. It sucks because the girl she was accused of "bullying" (Eunseo) ended up being a bully herself and took indecent pictures of Garam's friend and posted them online. Garam and her friends retaliated (bear in mind they were 12 years old at this time) with verbal assault and both Garam and Eunseo got punished and got a record with the school. (the whole situation is pretty crazy complicated so if you want more details it's worth looking up online) During this time the Kakao-owned FB site Idol Issue had been running a smear campaign against LSFM so Garam was crucified in the court of Public Opinion since everyone only read negative articles about Garam and LSFM. I know people like to treat HYBE as the big baddie who failed Garam but honestly......they legitimately tried to defend her and explained in detail EVERYTHING about her situation. Except that Koreans were so inflamed by the negative press that they didn't listen to anything HYBE said and settled for just labeling Garam as a simple bully when the situation was more complicated than that. No matter what HYBE did, Garam was basically screwed from the start because her image as an idol had been ruined. Not to mention the other girl, Eunseo, was a minor and also suicidal so HYBE was in a pretty bad and dangerous situation in regards to dealing with her.

Gonna attempt to somewhat sum up what happened with Garam: She was the fourth girl to join the debut lineup, after Sakura, Chaewon and Yunjin, so she must have joined sometime around October-December 2021? In April of this year she was then officially revealed as a member through her teaser video. However, less than a day after the video was released, multiple claims of her being a bully were spread on the internet by supposed former classmates. HYBE/SourceMusic then went on to deny those claims. That didn't really stop people from spreading even more rumors though. LE SSERAFIM went on to debut as 6 members on May 2nd. The situation reached its peak about 2 weeks after their debut when a part of a school document was leaked online of a level 5 disciplinary school punishment(?) containing Garam's name. A little later one supposed victim, Eunseo, released a statement through a law firm asking for an apology. LE SSERAFIM's schedules were cancelled for a few days and HYBE/SourceMusic once again went on to deny the claims of Garam being a bully stating that she was only protecting her friend who had pictures of herself wearing only underwear spread online by Eunseo which caused them to have an argument that ultimately lead to the level 5 disciplinary action. HYBE also announced in their statement that Garam would be taking a break from group activities because of the mental stress that the situation has caused her and that the group would be continuing as 5 members for the time being. So LE SSERAFIM finished their Fearless promotions as 5 members and then there was a whole lot of nothing until HYBE announced in July that Garam would be leaving the group and that her contract with HYBE had been terminated. About a month or so after she officially left the group Garam reached out to the public through a friend's instagram, revealing the contents of the entire school document. It pretty much revealed what HYBE had said in their statement - that Eunseo did in fact spread underwear pictures of one of Garam's friends online. Garam and her friends then went on to argue with her and curse her out(?). This is obviously a very short summary based on what I remember - You can read the entire document somewhere online if you're interested in the details. By the way, all of this happened when these kids were only 12 years old, which is pretty wild to me. So, yeah, there's lots of different opinions about this situation as you can see just based on the comments here. I do wish the best for Garam but since we had so little contents of the group as 6 members it's hard for me to really miss her as we never fully got to experience their group chemistry as 6. It's also a bit of a shame that we couldn't see Garam's debut process but I think the editors did pretty well in editing her out. Anyways! Looking forward to the next episodes! :) And looking forward to I-LAND S2 next year because I am pretty sure we're gonna see Haruka on there hehe.

Minju get the offer to join the group but she reject it and focus on acting, she could have been the visual of LSF in another Parallel Universe. *Minju's drama The Forbidden Marriage coming out next month starring with Seokhoon from Penthouse.

Your comment is so on point. I remember talking to my mom about Kim Garam (it was all over the news and my 65 year old mom read about her) and I remember that my mom thought that the documents were pointing Garam as a very bad "bully". The vast majority of koreans who never knew about idol groups were condemning her as guilty. HYBE put a statement explaining the whole situation and saying that Kim Garam was innocent and that they were suing the other girl for defammation and spreading lies on the internet. But netizens started to say that HYBE money was being used to make a guilty person innocent and they just really didnt't listened to what Garam or HYBE had to say. It's my thought that maybe Garam and HYBE agreed to leaving the group would be better for the whole cuz the other girls were getting a lot of hate too. It is really said but nowadays in Korea you are guilty until proven innocent and even if you are innocent it may not even reach the news because is not exciting anymore.

I will never understand people going back and forth on the internet about about a CHILD yall don't know. I also will never understand hundreds and thousands of people coming together to shame and punish a child for an incident non of us know about. If she did it, they punished her rightfully so. If she didn't, let her learn from it and grow. Watching you people sit here and argue about this child, who's career was ruined, is just so mind boggling. I'll never agree with what the internet did ro this child. Take a nap.

Can we please all agree that if you have anything to say about garam, might as well just say it all out here but in a nice, respectful way. There is another 3 episodes and I'm sure PD wouldn't want to see people arguing and bring up garam again over the same issues and reasons.

eunbi is one of my ults and i wouldve loved to see her out of woollim and she would have fit le sserafim (in my personal opinion) but hybe only wanted to recruit the top sellers in izone: sakura, chaewon, and minju.

Thanks for checking out the documentary. Know it is not everyones thing, but seeing as the group is making an impression, it is a nice watch and informative. Fair warning it doesn't go THAT deep, but hope y'all enjoy the rest of the episodes either way. Appreciate the reaction.
