Jungkook said he was more nervous to meet the South Korean soccer team than to perform he was so excited and you could tell how proud he was to be there. all the other members posted that they watched him on TV and it was so cute to see his hyungs cheer him on. Also please check out his song with Charlie Puth called Left and Right!

I'm not supporting the World Cup at all, so I haven't watched anything from the opening ceremony on the official channels and I'm also not watching the games. Like I'm disappointed in my country for participating. The majority of the "normal" people in my country are actually boycotting the WM. The TV rating for example went way down from the last WM. But of course our politicians just mindlessly follow the money. So on one hand I want to feel proud for Jungkook, cause he has come so far, but on the other hand it's just the wrong event.

My mom and dad who are almost in their 70s are so proud of Jungkook. They both said that they are proud not just because he did the song but also because he performed it so well. Korean netizens even those who don't like BTS were saying that JK did a great job.

I really am happy for jungkook and what this means for him as an artist, and what this must mean for south Koreans to see. It is a shame however that such an historic thing for bts/korea is at this disgrace of an event. The ‘global unity’ concept of the opening ceremony is a farce. I watched this to appreciate his beautiful talents and I do appreciate this is special for koreans as pd says.

it was one of the weirdest moments in my life as ARMY .. my dad was watching ouri jungkook (he didn't know anything about K-pop or me involved in this world) lol ... it was weird feelings and the netizen was saying stuff like (okay now we understand why you love Kpop ) a lot of things happened that day, he really did more than just a historical moment, he was able to change a lot of people minds
