It’s funny that you mentioned it felt like a movie. Coldplay live-streamed this concert in theaters and when I went to see it I didn’t know what to expect or that Jin was even going to be there. But it was the most magical show I’ve ever witnessed 😭

so glad you enjoyed this, i feel like the speech just adds to the emotions of the performance. jin’s appearance was announced a week before the concert and some more tickets were released so there was definitely quite a lot of army there. there wasn’t any other performances for the astronaut however jin did do some variety appearances such as an episode of running man (https://www.viki.com/videos/1201684v-running-man-episode-627) and an episode of halmyungsoo (https://youtu.be/5ap6OHx8Qlw). he also did a mini 4 episode series on bangtantv with baek jongwon about traditional alcohol (https://youtu.be/ekrBiWe1qFU)

It definitely felt bittersweet but when I first watched this performance I was literally bawling my eyes out you sometimes don’t realise what big of an impact certain groups and people have on you until enlistment comes around, same thing happened with EXO I mean I cried because of bangtan before but not as much as when I watched this performance, it was absolutely beautiful like everything was perfection, I absolutely love the bond between bts and Coldplay and even Jin and Chris it’s the sweetest and so genuine, I hope the time goes by quick, we’ll be waiting here still Seokjin. Like others have recommended before Jin actually did a decent amount of promo so I hope you can check out his traditional alcohol show it’s so healing and shot so beautifully and he was also in Running Man.

They released a video of his send off and all the other members were there and it really made me emotional because BTS are truly a family. watching the video brought me back to the videos of the members attending Jungkook’s Middle School graduation, his high school entrance ceremony and his high school graduation and now they had the members say farewell to their oldest hyung going to the military like it’s insane when you think about it.

oh no it's only 9am here, too early to cry 🥹 so glad this included chris martin's speech! i think it's super impactful for him to admit that initial hesitation, learning to overcome it, and in turn forming such a genuine connection with each other 🤍 the fans getting incredible music from that is just a bonus heh jin flew 20+ hours just for this performance 😭 he really did so well. you're so right about his voice sounding incredibly comforting and warm. when he sings the 'and i love you' part it's such an overwhelming feeling every single time. i remember crying watching a shaky livestream of this i saw on my tl hahaha

I don't know if you've seen it yet, but you should check out BTS' cover of Fix You by Coldplay. It's fucking insane. Oh and maybe their Cover of I'll Be Missing You. They're both real tearjerkers for me

Catching up on some reactions and didn't expect to cry over this performance...again. :-) Man Jin's awkwardness in his body fits an alt music aesthetic SO WELL. As someone who adores Jin I have to say it's really the first time I've gotten frontman energy from him. I hope he gets to explore this side of him more! Maybe he can come back with more solo stuff after he gets out before the rest of the members.
