Old videos update (Patreon)

Our old videos are still disabled but Vimeo has acknowledged that we did everything on our end and they’re “currently talking” with the trust and safety team to restore the videos.

So currently videos are still disabled.

We’re looking into hosting our own content in the future and will be moving off Vimeo soon so there’s a little good news.

Will keep everyone updated!

Very sorry to hear about this problem, PD. I'm subscribed to another Patreon creator and they've been using Dropbox to host some videos. Maybe you can check it out as well? Hopefully this gets resolved sooner or later, and with less hassle on your end.

Yeah, it's probably a good idea to move away from Vimeo. It seems like Patreon has its own built in video hosting feature now. Is that something you've looked into?

so they can’t even restore it immediately after making y’all pay like seriously are they being for real right now? such a waste of time for your end cause it’s not easy to make those videos. and you’ve been loyal to vimeo for a long time so the fact that they’re screwing you over is so annoying.

Thank you PD for the hard work, I hope you can get the videos back. I've seen a lot of other reaction creators start using 'Streamable' to post their reaction videos, maybe you can check it out and see if it works for future videos.

other people i follow use stuff like dropbox i think. Glad to hear you're getting off vimeo though PD they bleed people dry.

What a bunch of a*holes. First they make you pay and then they have to “discuss” restoring your account. Good to hear you are moving off Vimeo. I’ve read some stories about them screwing over other creators with sudden massive price hikes.

I’m also very happy to hear you’ll be considering other options to host videos! It’s still bizarre to me how Video treats their own customers, and like another commenter said even people like you who are using it for a long time…

I hope everything gets sorted out :/ I'm pretty sure I heard recently that the beta testing for Patreons video hosting features is now available for creators with the pro and premium plans. I'm not sure how good it is but maybe that would be a good alternative?

oh this sucks so bad!!! i upgraded to summer+ for this month only to binge vincenzo but the episodes from ep 13 upwards arent working🫠 vimeo are seriously the worst, if u ever resolve this or reupload them somehow an update would be amazing so i can subscribe again to finish it): thanks for your hard work pd
