Hey guys PD here!

This will be the definitive last update post of December :)

Just to get the quickest news out the way:

-BTS YET TO COME will still be releasing. I panicked because I didn't realize that there's no official release of it yet, and most of the rips I saw online were absolute gas. But after I made a post about this earlier, one of our Patrons pulled through with a decent quality rip!

- - -

For my mental health, I'm going to push the rest of the Award Shows back by a week and instead go camping. They will resume on January 4.

I had a really shitty Christmas where everyone both friends and family kinda bailed on me and I didn't receive any gifts. Gifts aren't important to me but more so the thought. And I was livestreaming a few days ago and viewers were asking me to unlock my SuperChat so they could send me money which I refused. It's quite literally just the thought that matters!

While I'm over it now, I just wanted to give a Christmas gift to myself, and for my mental health I just really need to be in nature at the moment, so I'm going camping tomorrow. I will be back January 2nd and the official schedule for January along with other award shows will be posted January 3rd.

I was also planning to check out AAA and SBS Gayo Daejeon but currently I'm not sure where to watch AAA other than a few random clips online and waiting on a playlist for SBS Gayo Daejeon to pop up on YouTube.

Tier/Patreon Changes in 2023

Starting in the new year there will be two massive changes to our Patreon.

1. $2 Patrons will be a support-only tier.

This is the biggest change I'm making to my Patreon and it took me over 6 months to make this final decision. Going forward, $2 patrons will only receive early access to YouTube videos and that is it.

This is something I mentioned last spring but the $2 tier is unfortunately not sustainable and costs us money.

This tier will be reserved solely for Patrons who wish to support me and my channel looking for no other reward in return. All bonus drops will be moved to the $10 tier.

I hope people understand that I'm only doing this because it quite literally costs us money now to serve videos to our $2 Patrons. We have to pay for bandwidth for every person who plays our videos, and unfortunately $2 Patronage no longer even covers the cost of just one video.

2. The following tiers will be rebranded as such:

SPRING -> SUPPORT

SUMMER -> SPRING

SUMMER+ -> SUMMER

This rebranding is purely to make it easier for new Patrons to understand the clear difference in tiers.

3. We are leaving Vimeo

You may have noticed there have been a lot of annoying video issues as of late, and broken links of our older videos. Vimeo as a service has dropped a lot in quality, quite literally their team takes ages getting back to us. We pay them an extremely large amount of money to host these videos and the severe lack in stability on their side is forcing us to leave as they had already screwed us a bit before.

4. Old videos will be vaulted (eventually) to Autumn tier

It will be a bit of a learning process but we will be hosting our own videos rather than using a second party dealer like Vimeo. Getting into this process has taught us quite a lot and explains why my debt is growing deeper and deeper.

But basically, it costs us money whenever people watch our videos because it requires bandwidth. But imagine, we have like a 1000+ video backlog, and it costs us say $1 when just ONE person watches a single video. Then if you factor in that people watch MORE than one of our videos a month, and then rewatching old content on top of that? It costs a lot.

The only way to combat this is to host videos ourselves to keep our bills cheaper and not raise prices on our Patrons. However, going forward we will start vaulting videos.

How vaulting will work:

Videos older than 2 months will be vaulted and only accessible to Autumn tier Patrons and up. This means if you join the $10 tier in January, you can watch all January content and all December content. Autumn tier will have no restrictions.

Similarly to our $2 Patreon tier we have to make this hard decision because unfortunately we're like $30,000 in debt due to bandwidth consumption.

In simple terms, $10 tier patronage barely covers the bandwidth usage for one month and if people continue to watch our older videos, especially rewatching, it will further cost us money.

But if we make these adjustments, we think we can start publishing our reactions in 1080p again.

I'll post a video explaining the new changes more in depth after I return from my camping trip. But I hope everyone had a good rest of your holidays and I'll see y'all soon :)

Wishing for a better 2023, PD! And yes, always choose what's best for your mental health. Thanks for the update and take care ☺️💜

nghn

I actually think KBS is a better choice than SBS, KBS's performances this year are insane so I hope you can check out KBS. And happy new year pd 🥰

archie :D

thanks for the update ! also im not sure if there’s easy way to watch the performances but if there are I’d suggest KBS over AAA/SBS the performances were way better imo

Ana

Have a good time camping!! I hope it's healing and good for you. 😊 But also HOLY SHIT, $30,000?? That's so much, damn. The tier restructuring seems perfectly reasonable in light of that (and also just how much and varied types of content you put out, which I've always found pretty admirable). See you in 2023!!

Isabel

Thank you for the update and I hope you have an amazing time camping, I went last week and it was so calming and healing.

h

wishing you a happy and healing new year of! enjoy your camping trip & looking forward to seeing you again in the new year, which will hopefully treat us all a little bit better than 2022. xxx

Noem

Christmas is usually the best time of the year and when shit happens during that time, I know how bad it can feel. Please enjoy yourself fully on your camping trip, I hope it'll help! 💜

km

PD! Enjoy your camping trip (I’m not sure where you are globally but hopefully the weather is nice)! I know 2022 has had its fair share of hard times so please enjoy your break to the fullest extent possible. In terms of restructuring- I personally think $20 in order to have access to thousands of videos is worth it so you have my full support! You’re doing what you can and sometime shifts have to made in order to create the best content possible. Happy (almost) New Year!

Liv

Enjoy camping!!! Yes this new system looks like a great set up

beannieswife

Thanks for the update pd! Honestly you deserve that rest so frikin much, please take care of yourself!! Good luck camping!🫶 and I totally understand that feeling of wanting reciprocity (English is not my first language so idk if that’s the right word lol!), it gets you down when you’re such a loyal person, I understand you, it’s totally valid, so feel the way you want to feel and heal when you’re done feeling! Sending you lots of love, to you, blaire and the team!! <3

nana chwe

Enjoy your camping, Pd-nim! Happy holidays!!

Miguel

Enjoy your camping, PD. We wish you the best of luck. In the other hand, i don't vibe with the new costs and the new system so I'll leave Patreon because the dollar in some countries is very expensive, so it's just economics. Thanks for all the great time!

katherine

have a good time camping!!

Josie

PD I hope you enjoy your week camping! I was also wondering if the penthouse specials will also be posted next week or will they be posted this week.

Austin Lin

Hey PD, have a good camping trip and a Happy New Year! Will you be releasing the penthouse running man episode this week or is that also pushed to next week? Very much looking forward to the first (?) running man reaction as that is probably my favorite Korean variety show and one that I watch every week! Also, I hope you get into Earth Arcade soon. From the number of comments I have seen, I think it will be worth your while. I have only seen the first 4 episodes so it will be great to watch the rest with you.

yessi

Thx for the update! Hope u have a nice healing time PD💜🙌🏽

Aya

30k is OUTRAGEOUS oh my god. i hope you have a good time camping, we will be here to support you when you get back. happy new year! edit: i think i will have to resub in a few months instead bc i cant afford the $25 because the conversion rate is atrocious for me… i’m fine with the $10 but more than double for the older content (i’m slowly working thru the izone ones) is not really affordable for me rn. either way i hope you find the best way possible to deal with the issues that vimeo has caused. wishing you guys all the best.

zunachi

Appreciate the update PD!~ Please do keep the detailed announcement regarding the tier changes on public so everyone is updated. Hope you have a great few days before this year ends, and wishing you have a great 2023 ahead ^^

채채즈

Alright PD thanks for the update, I personally have no problem with the update since I do watch a lot of content here. You really need to watch SBS Gayo PD since the performances, collab and cover there is one of the best one this year for me, especially LSRF. Also, this channel posted like I think all the Korean group performances in AAA but I don't think it's an official channel and they posted in not in performance order https://www.youtube.com/@1PLUSK/videos, if you want me to make the playlist I would be happy to help you with that Hope you have a wonderful holiday PD

R875d

Have fun.. Enjoy your trip.. And try to do things you won't usually do.. Cuz why not?.. You always give us energy to get through our days.. so I really hope you can give that to yourself

Joana

I really hope the camping trip cheers you up, PD, it sounds like you had a rough day. I'm sending you all the good vibes I can, and may next year be kinder to you and us all! I'll write my thoughts here because it'll probably be my last post on this Patreon for the time being, given you're only updating us in January, when I believe the changes will already be in place. The adjustments to the tiers sound perfectly understandable given your current situation and Vimeo being uncooperative. Still, I'm a Spring patron (who'd gladly pay more if I could), but I can't justify spending more than four times what I currently do on a monthly basis for content that, as some users have said in other posts, has been inconsistent. Often times a schedule goes up and it's not followed through entirely, which is frustrating (e.g. I have no idea what happened to the WJSN "Sequence" reaction you announced back in September -- and I'm not even a huge fan of the group to be on the edge of my seat waiting for it, it's just one of the cases I recall off the top of my head). I totally understand that life happens and sometimes we're not in the mood to film something, or we forget, or more pressing stuff comes up. But it's easier for me to empathize with that and tell myself "maybe next month" when I'm paying for a lower tier than a higher one. Plus, when that content gets pushed back another month or two (like Checkmate, which you also announced back in September but only went up this month), "forcing" on-and-off Patrons to resub, it's a little inconvenient to say the least. I know your team deals with users on a case by case basis and issues refunds, but strictly from a supporter's perspective, it seems like a hassle. I'm on Patreon to support artists above all, and obviously I do not hold them to the same standards as I do companies with 24-hour dedicated customer support. But even so, I think there are issues that could be improved. The "vaulting" of older videos also sounds reasonable given your situation; but as someone who's here strictly for the music, it's a huge turn off. I often get into groups or learn about them by watching your most recent content, and having to pay nearly double of Summer tier to access videos that might be years old by that point doesn't sound thrilling. Drama/anime/variety content doesn't do much for me, either (no offense, I'm sure it's great, it's just not what I've subbed for). In other words, under this new system, if I wanted to have access to all your music-related content (new and old), I'd have to pay almost 9 times what I'm currently paying a month -- and that's while dealing with the pending question of whether or not the content I want, or some of it, will be uploaded as per your monthly schedule. Just throwing my two cents here, if they even matter. I hope you and everyone else have a great 2023, and hopefully these changes will help you deal with your current issues. I had a great time watching your reactions and I'm sure there's many more great ones to come.

Harley

PD SBS Gayo Daejeon and KBS Song Festival are available to watch on Kocowa and Viki I believe. Here is a link of AAA that's pretty good quality, someone has the timestamps in the top comments https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcwaqIMxqqA

Jade

PD is doing all the award shows as far as I know

Jade

Second this PD Earth Arcade is so good i think you'd love it especially since you've seemed to be liking the NA PD shows recently and this is even more NA PD

grace

thanks for the communication! enjoy ur trip!

Gracie828

Thanks for the update! The new tires are totally understandable! 30k is insane and definitely not sustainable! Thank you for all your hard work this year! You have brought me a lot of joy and comfort since I first subscribed and I look forward to seeing what the future brings. Have a good trip and a happy new year!

채채즈

I think PD search for the playlist with performances in order so it's easier to guide through

Chad Williams

hope you add the kbs song festival in there too i think that was way better than any the award shows or sbs gayo

soel

thanks for the update!! looking forward to everything. hope you have a great time camping :) wish you the best

Josh Kalmikoff

You da best PD. Remember you got thousands of people who appreciate you!

Dan

I really hope you so the KBS one! It was sooo good! I actually liked it better than SBS or AAA. You won’t regret reacting to KBS one

채채즈

I think PD will react to KBS too it's just PD mention those 2 as there is that issue.

채채즈

I think it's as PD said that they will move out of Vimeo then the old video will be available then I guess, since Vimeo isn't handling it well rn

채채즈

I think PD also react to KBS it's just there's no issue with that so PD didn't mention it

Mery Ordaz

Enjoy your camping trip! Also, I found the AAA performances in good quality here https://www.youtube.com/@1PLUSK/videos I don't know which acts you're planning to react to, but there's a couple of good ones that I think you will enjoy

Malaki.H

I hope you enjoy your trip!!

Lance Ma

all 3 are great, this year is the first time I can genuinely like all the awad shows

eli_nhdoaek

SBS Gayo had alot of cover stages! Fun to watch

Q

Dropping my question here just in case you can address it on your explanation video. Will you be reuploading old videos which are no longer working in vimeo to your own hosting platform as well? So that autumn tiers have access to them..

Maya Fey

I hope you have a good time healing in nature PD 😊🎁 But I have a question: Will the 2$ tier really be “supporting”? Isn’t it essentially a minus for you?

Aegiey

Hope you have a great camping trip :D Thank you for the heads-up too

nia

thanks for the update pd!! and thank u for all the great months i could spend here watching your content, with the new tiers ill probably have to step back from subscribing for a while as i can’t justify spending money for summer tier (which is what i usually went for) while not being able to watch older content and just being restricted to sometimes inconsistent scheduled content of 2 months + having to deal with awful usd exchange rates (nothing to do with u ofc😭 still had to complain somewhere lol) i totally get your decision and see that vimeo is the one that fucked you over but it just isn’t affordable to me which sucks, will see you again when i have some extra money for autumn as that’s the only justifiable tier rn (at least for me) have a great and less stressful new year!!!

Sarunii

lol imagine paying 10 dollars a month to only be able to access the last 2 months of content, not even including drama club, and specially considering that you are known to not follow your schedule, promising videos and not posting them even when you get a buffer week every month. While it has always annoyed me through the years that you seem impossible to meet your schedule, always for one reason or another, it didn't bother me that much because the strong point of your channel is the incredible amount of content. If that is not a available, what is the point? Honestly it shouldn't even affect me as I have the Autumn tier, which means that I have access to the vault... which is not available, in its majority. Which yeah, you say it's Vimeo's fault and sure it very well might be, but it has been quite some time already since this whole thing started, and with your track record I'm not hopeful that is going to be fixed any time soon. So paying almost 20 EUR per month for not being able to see old content and not even knowing if the new content you announce will be posted? Yeah, no, I'll check back in a few months. I hope it all works out, but man, making tiers more expensive (or moving up access of certain things to other tiers, which is exactly the same and what you have been doing lately) to this point and then not even delivering what you put on your schedule? Not good. Aside from your job (because if I'm not mistaken this is not your hobby, but your full time job, your way of sustenance, which is why I'm baffled by how you are handling it), I hope this camping trip is good for you, and that you have a good end of the year and a happy new one!

PeachyBun

Thanks for the update pd! just when i finally got enough money to sub to summer tier :'') heartbreaking cuss i was really looking forward to see ur BTS and ATEEZ journey from the start, BUT i do undestand the horrible conditions this is putting u in, i know its no easy choice but i really cant affor autumn tier for that amount of content even if i wanted to </3 so this will be my last comment for a while :'')) I do hope you have a wonderful and healing trip!! You deserve it

채채즈

PD still has it in their old Vimeo account archived by Vimeo, it's not gone just Vimeo ask them to pay to put it out which they already did but nothing fixed

Sarunii

yeah, and how long do you think it's going to take them to firstly figure it out how to do it, second reupload ALL videos?

DreamyStateOfMind

I don't think so, because it's early access to youtube, isn't it? And I don't think youtube requires them to pay anything

Haruka

Hi PD, maybe you should add some explanatory stuff to Header image? Lots of new patrons are confused over community tab. They can see it better on the banner i guess? Like old videos are not working right now, so they can wait to be a patron when they're up again or something?

shudoon01

Hi PD, I hope you enjoy the camping trip! I am Autumn tier and have been subbed to patron since 2019 and have luckily been able to watch majority of the content that has been stripped unfortunately. I think as other people mentioned, the problem is that schedule is not followed through every month, I think if the schedule was more consistent, patrons would know what they're signing up for and have more clarity that if they don't access past content at the very least they can access this months schedule. I was hoping for it not to happen this month as I was looking forward to award shows the most. I understand postponing but if I am honest, I think that I'll sub once every two months , to make costs cheaper for myself and also have at least one month guaranteed. I want to ccontinue supporting but if the schedule is often running over to next month, this will be a way for me to make it worthwhile for myself

JustCakie

Ooft that makes the Summer tier $25AUD. I'm gonna have to bounce for a while because thats like double a netflix subscription and the cost of living here is WILD. I'll see you again when I am rich my friends

Jana

Hi PD hope you enjoy your camping trip and have a lovely start into 2023! Would be great to get an update in the new year on when old content will be vaulted and available - since I would be willing to upgrade to autumn tier however only if the old content is actually available which the majority of it is currently not for me :(

Aya ✨️

well unfortunately I'm gonna have to leave your patreon. I love your reactions, and I love to support you but it's too much for me now. I'm a college student, and I can't pay almost 20€ per month only to get the videos for 2 months. I know you probably don't have a choice but I won't lie I'm a bit disappointed... it's not worth it and you're going to lose a lot of ppl bc of this. I've given you hundreds of dollars and i think i should be able to watch old content, now i regret giving you all that money. anyways have a good end of the year and a happy new year!!

Bright G

PD, enjoy your trip and keep warm. Have you explored the possibility of vidyard? I think you might run into some trouble hosting videos (even when you build your own server) since it will require a LOT of bandwidth. If you're going to have a lot of videos and a lot of people on Patreon trying to access those videos, you're going to see that server crash.

Sarahvtae

Completely agree with you!!! And it's not just about the Patreon schedule...it's the same exact problem for yt.

B

Maybe one thing to consider would be to vault series as whole instead of individual episodes when they reach the 2 month mark. This wouldn't impact me but I feel like it'd suck for someone to join the Patreon for a certain k-drama that is still being released but the first 3 episodes were released a bit ago and are already locked off to a higher tier.

채채즈

I got a new suggestion PD based on the comments above, I think you could create a new tier in the range of $2-$10 that can only access new content from the past month or several months. So it's more fair for the one who wanted old contents or just the new contents.

Incheonguy

I doubt I will stick around, price increases when the schedule here always meets with delays and that has not been consistently resolved. It's fine for a few weeks or a month and then stuff is late again and again. Plus this "Vaulting" is going to turn off new patreons. Honestly doesnt seem thought out. If Someone just finds you via YT and say wants to join patreon and support you here to watch all of the old reactions for GROUP A. They can not unless they pay one of the 2 highest tier prices. So it's a negative for a new patreon. It's like you are saying hey "pay us more for stuff we did last year or 2 years ago" instead of hey support our FUTURE reactions and projects. Because as someone who has off and on supported you on patreon, I feel like I have paid you enough to access that content over the past 1year and a half. Now considering you have between 5-10,000 patreons who the majority of based on the comments on the posted videos are at a 10.00 tier or higher, is not a small amount of money. STOP and let that sync in for a moment, before you all flame me. So this past summer there was a tier price increase and now another, with content access being removed for probably MOST OF US in a bid to get people who already PAY to pay MORE. Without any consistent upgrade in delivery of service. Content is still late, and content is still not accessible. Honestly where is the justification? Not a single patreon here has value by ourselves, because you have thousands, so the mindset seems to be "No loss if we go" for the those of us who speak up about things. We are quickly replaced by some new person who hasn't experienced it all and has yet to re-evaluate the value to service delivery ratio here. Personally I think the smart move would be fix the schedule delays 1st. FIX broken access to older content we can't access right now that we had been paying for 1st. Once that proves to be stable and reliable, consider raising your prices if you must. But raising the prices and taking the access away on a "promise" its going to get better at some point is a deal breaker because it has not proven to be the case.

Wiktor

Thanks for the update! Enjoy your time PD! Switch off for a bit! In case you don’t see this. Happy New Year! For yourself and Blaire! P.s. you can’t please everyone so don’t feel too bad. Decision making like this is always hard and difficult ones to make 💪 I know you and your team will figure it out! This stuff is hard to figure out and execute, especially fast. Take your time to make it perfect.

WiseSmellyLegs

I was thinking with the branding of tiers… You could name them: Spring - Spring Summer - Summer Summer+ - Fall/Autumn Autumn - Winter And Winter - Still Life But I understand you want to make it clear that the lowest one is simply for the support By the way… enjoy your trip and happy new year in advance!

minghow

Unfortunately, I'm gonna leave your patreon too. I love your reactions, and I love to support you but the price is too unreasonable now. Delays didn't bother me that much because there was an incredible amount of old content to watch. Enjoy your camping trip, PD! Take care! And Happy New Year to everyone! I hope 2023 will be good for all of us)

채채즈

Yeah it's hard to please everyone in this business, they must had a hard time decide it too since the decision has been postponed for months too

Y

First of all I hope you feel better after your camping trip and I hope you find healing and regain some mental stability. on to the matter at hand...the changes are unfortunate for me because I was already struggling after conversion for the $15 tier- one of my dollars is over $7 of yours as well as conversion on my credit card. I know the value of both dollars and the rates are definitely more coming from my end. to upgrade is definitely out of the question for me. the next thing is that sometimes I wait a month or two to save up to watch a couple of months of content at a time so 2-month-old content being archived is really unfortunate for me. sometimes the schedule gets pushed back as well so I might sign up for something and suddenly there is an update about it being pushed back for one reason or the other while all your explanations are all valid it is still disappointing as a viewer to have all these setbacks and then be told that there would be rate increases again so soon after the first increase as well as the already implemented drop in video quality and decrease in scheduled content which now seems to be replaced with random bonus drops. at the end of the day, it is, of course, your decision and you are the one having to deal with the financial issues so best of luck with whatever you decide however if I can no longer afford it I cannot support.

希文 王

happy camping trip PD! While I understand the tier and cost changes, I think I'll stick to summer for now and see how it all turns out. It's a lot of changes (especially the hosting part; I assume you'll get all the videos back from Vimeo and put them on your own server in time but I would like to see something of a schedule for when that's happening and for example what videos will be moved when, which unfortunately, is something a lot of people have pointed out as being inconsistent) and while I do like going back to watch old videos, I would want to make sure they're watchable before changing tiers, and this isn't a dig at you or your team (I hope this doesn't come across as one), but things have been inconsistent as of late.

Ana R.

Hi PD! First of all, I hope you have a nice break an enjoy your trip. Please take care of your mental health and rest. I also have had a really shitty year and have been in a really bad place mentally, so I can really empathize with you, as I also finally told my boss that I was feeling unproductive and burned out and took a break during the holidays. I also think doing this job while being under mental pressure must be horrible, as you have to put up a front for the cameras otherwise other people will comment on it which might make you feel worse, so I always support you taking the time you need. I must say that sadly I might have to leave your Patreon as well. I’m really sorry, but while I don’t agree with a lot of what is being said, I do think there are some issues here. While I understand that you have a business to run and that you are in debt, I don’t think this will be sustainable for a lot, if not most, of your patrons, especially the ones in the lower tiers. Everyone that is currently in the autumn tier will probably be fine as nothing will change for them, but the rest probably not. I am currently on the summer tier and I must say, while a lot of people complain about inconsistency in releases I don’t think that is an issue for me as I understand you are not a company and have unexpected issues to face every month. I only follow a few groups which means that a lot of the time I might not have anything to watch in a specific month except for some bonus drops but that never upset me because of the huuuuge amount of content you have to watch. I love watching you PD, it’s such a comfort to me, so I am one of those people who will go back and rewatch a lot of my favorite stuff, as you have helped me through a lot, especially this year. I have paused my subscription and come back due to this, as there might not always be new things for me to watch, but the past content keeps me coming back. As you can see where I might be going with this, if the past content is not available to me except at 3 times the price of a Netflix subscription, I can no longer justify it in my monthly budget. You might have enough Autumn patrons to support you that it doesn’t make a difference and if so, that is great, I hope things get better. I am truly sad to go though, and I really hope once everything stabilizes and you get your new uploading system, things might be reasonable enough for me to come back. Just know that I really appreciate you PD and wish you the best for the future!

Aiz

Hope you have fun on your camping trip PD, and thank you for your hard work! Unfortunately the jump to Autumn every month isn't something I can really justify to myself financially, since like others have mentioned, it's a lot compared to my currency and cost of living. It's the same for the Summer+ tier since a lot the content I enjoy on here is older than 2 months, and I tend to binge watch variety shows, and only from a few groups. A lot of the older videos are still down as well, and the schedules have been inconsistent as of late so it's all really up in the air for me. I might still sub to Autumn once every few months, since I have genuinely really enjoyed and appreciated your content and the sense of community you've created over the past year and a half I've been here. I do understand that these changes are happening for a reason- you guys are only human, there's been a /lot/ going on in every way and a lot of costs. I hope everything works out for the best, and that our feedback is reflected. Thank you PD.

FroggyMuds

I hope you have a nice time camping pd!

CRAYON weiwen

Enjoy your camping trip PD, stay safe.

Tyro Klaase

Hi PD. Hope you have a good camping trip. I have been an on and off again patron for a while now and my main issue has been the inconsistency of the schedule and the increasing rates but no change in the quality of the videos. This is what has made me cancel my membership multiple times. I had a subscription back in june-july period, cancelled it and came back months later like september-october and saw that the drama club only progressed by 2/3 episodes. This happens time and time again. As much as i understand your situation, I just cant justify paying this much money only to be disappointed time and time again. The delays are too much and too often and its not fair on us your viewers.

Haruka

Hello PD, First, i'm so sorry. Another gift situation happened last year too if i'm not wrong; wish people around you value you more. I hope you can feel better after camping. This comment section might upset you again tho. About the new system, it would be better if you announce it earlier or later than today. Or even discuss with patrons. New patrons or resubbing patrons wont see it at all. 20$ is a lot of money for some people, exchange rate is really high for some countries; mine is nearly 20, like i'm paying 400 for a month w VAT. (Which is like... 10 percent of minimum wage here) You probably have most of your patrons outside of America. A poll would be nice or a livestream to discuss together? I sub/resub/unsub a lot depending on my money, how much i can spare etc. If i unsub now and came back in April, i wont be able to watch at least two months of content, then why would i sub again? Then i have to sub for Autumn Tier but as i mentioned it's really pricey and i probably wont be able to. The others already mentioned but you tend to postpone a lot of content. You can get sick, feel unwell, have a lot of family stuff, move your house etc. Which is fine and can happen. I thought you were filming your content at least a week before releasing them but i realized with award shows and bonueses, you're kinda winging them. This is your job that your main income comes from. You should make your schedules according to that and put some buffers. You put out A LOT OF CONTENT and i respect that. But things are kinda messy. Schedules mostly put out first week of the month so a lot of times we dont even know what will you release. For example; I remember a lot of patrons subbed for Produce48 content and then you pushed it to next month for another variety (Queendom if i remember correctly). You should at least put out the schedules at the end of the month so patrons can decide resub or not. Like right now, i dont know what will you post for January. Which tier should i sub for? Or maybe i should unsub and resub later on.. idk August when i have a lot of money saved and can afford Autumn tier? What if you changed the system a lot then as well? It's confusing. Just my two cents here. Maybe you should consider sub system on YouTube for 'only supporting'.

Mima

Unfortunately I'm with most people who have commented. I don't think I will be able to support you here on patreon any further, not only due to the 'vaulting' for videos, which is a shame because personally I'm really only here for one group, random listening parties and some of the drama clubs. If videos get locked after a certain point-- and for people who are like me that need to actually SAVE money to be able to subscribe for a certain month will be a huge minus in terms of accessibility for older content. I understand you had to try working around the Vimeo debt situation, and you need to do what you can-- but I think a lot of us can't justify the higher prices ESPECIALLY when the content is more often than not delayed and just honestly not reliable. Tbh considering the buffer week each month and the fact you've stated numerous times that you're filming ahead so to expect everything on time for the following month and STILL not being able to follow through with it is honestly frustrating and quite irresponsible. I don't mean to come off as insensitive, I understand life happens, mental health too-- but as someone who has tried to support you as much as possible in the last two years because I love this community and of course, your reactions-- I haven't seen any improvements despite your promises. (Also I'm not sure if this is intentional but posting your schedule monthly and not making it available for non-patrons is something I think should be fixed? Especially with the tiers going up, it would be helpful for people checking in to decide whether or not to support that respective month.) I hope you have a wonderful camping trip, happy holidays PD and thank you for your hard work. I might check back in a few months time:)

I also feel the same way with some of your opinion. I subbed this month (the $20 tier) to watch their older reaction for snowdrop but i just felt like i wasn’t really able to enjoy what i paid for because vimeo is an a*shole and it ain’t their fault lol. For the produce48 i do agree. i was subscribed to him before during that time using my older account but i was dissapointed he moved the reactions to another month to make way for queendom but it wasn’t a big deal since i still enjoyed queendom. I just subbed again now and enjoy the content they put out but still sad i can’t view older videos. I might sub again in a couple of months or immediately if they react to kdramas i like (twenty five-twenty-one and alchemy of souls) The vimeo issue is so annoying cause they’re already dealing with so much of their bs and I didn’t even know they have to actualy pay that much, i just feel like it’s a scam at this point. so glad they’re not going to use vimeo anymore. i just feel like vimeo is taking advantage of them because they know they’ve been using vimeo for a long time and they’ll do anything to get the videos back or bc they know it is the only thing they’re relyin as of the moment. I think they should start changing stuff when they finally fix the inconsistency and fix the vimeo issue because its still kinda not fair having to pay that much and you don’t even have access to older content still.

Harley

Yeah but I think PD also prioritizes watching it in HD rather than clips at low quality so the HD replay is an option if that's not the case

A.D

I also didn't get any gifts from friends or family, youre never alone <3 I know this isn't the most inspiring comment just to say that but yeah anyway, I think it helps to know :)

While I understand your problems with Vimeo and high costs to upload videos, I unfortunately won’t be able to subscribe in the upcoming months for financial reasons. I’m only here for two groups and specific content, and therefore don’t really have a lot to look forward to every single month. (Plus, like many have mentioned, you sometimes miss content from the monthly schedule or upload it the next month). That never bothered me because you have lots of old content I could check out, or rewatch (so I always felt like i was getting my money’s worth). But now that’s no longer an option because of the “vaulting” of old content. Paying that much money just to rewatch content older than two months is just financially unjustifiable, for me at least. (I spend less money on my Netflix subscription). Still, I hope the issue with vimeo is resolved quickly, and I hope to be able to rejoin your Patreon in the future. 🫶

Harley

PD has the videos... they just need to reupload them as PD said in a comment to someone that asked that wanted to watch the S1 reaction to Alice in Borderland but can't since the videos aren't available. But obviously just reuploading them won't solve the problem in the long run since Vimeo will just repeat the same thing and also doesn't solve the bandwidth issue

Quil

I like the vaulting idea, I think it's an understandable change considering the circumstances.

Juvs

Hi PD hope your camping goes well! In regards of the new tier changes I will say I am a little overwhelmed because, as a current summer tier supporter I don't know if I can justify to continue paying if I can't watch the old variety videos. Like if I want to watch 1,2,3 Ive, starting next month I won't even be able since almost all your regular variety shows will be unavailable so its a bit intrusive imo. I am already paying 13 euros a month due to the money exchange (obviously not your fault) but I cant really pay like 26 euros in order to watch something that was 13 euros before. I can't afford that :(. So sadly I will stop the subscription for this month to see how everything goes and if I see something in the schedule of the month I am interested in I will gladly come back for that month. But I really can't justify the subscription for more than a month in a row sorry :( My main issue is the instrusion between tiers, there are many people who subscribe to see the variety content and listening parties and just that and kind of forcing them to pay double the price to continue doing that is too much for me. You are basically making us pay double for something we didn't really want. IMO the best sollution would be a new tier in between the currents summer and summer+ or lower it to summer+ directly if you don't want a new tier, August is way to much for me and won't ever be able to pay that. Again just my thoughts hope you enjoy your trip :)!

wony

they should’ve tried to reupload them somewhere else temporarily and not vimeo if they still have a copy because you’re telling me i spent $20 this month to mainly watch older videos that’s not accessible and they actually have a copy for it. I get it, reuploading every missing thing is too much work but i am not saying they should do it all in 1 day. Its just a bummer knowing they have the older videos? and they’re not giving us alternative links to watch it. (idk if i understood it wrong but they have a copy or not?)

SL

I’ve been watching your content a lot on YT and finally decided to join your Patreon a few days ago. I joined the Summer tier because I wanted to watch some older reactions and listening parties of my few groups of interest, yet to find out that most of the Vimeo videos are broken. Now that the “vaulting” kicks in, it means that I no longer can watch back the old vids (which I never managed to watch) unless I pay much more. Unfortunately, this won’t be sustainable as I only look for several groups in particular, and I’m not sure when the broken videos will be reuploaded. My 2 cents - the “vaulting” system will only be okay for those who have the time to watch a lot of your contents regularly, or have a wide area of interest in all your contents. For those who do not have so much time to catch up regularly, or have a more focused area of interest (e.g. certain groups, music only), the vaulting will certainly drive them away. Thanks for the few days of Patreon experience, hope that things go better and I’ll be able to rejoin with a more reasonable tier in future. I’ll still watch out for your YT vids, thanks PD.

Q

That’s based on assumption that’s why I would recommend to have it explicitly mentioned. It may be a prospective thing (posts moving forward) and they might not have the copy of their older posts stored locally anymore.

wony

ah i see thanks, they made it seem like they have those copies and i’m sure they dont bc that’s a lot of videos. I wish they backed it up somewhere else though cause they obviously know vimeo got some issues so i think it would’ve been great if they came prepared incase something like this happens.

Meruka Hinaru

This is my selfish wish but I do hope PD has the time to react to AAA someday cause my VERIVERY attended there and it would be nice to have a reaction for them from PD, it's been a while hehe

Chau Nguyen

Thank you for your transparency, PD!

Yoni Lambrechts

i respect your work a lot PD but these prices are outragous.... for the lack of consistency and constant issues i can't justify paying half of my weekly food budget for this... i hope all gets sorted out and maybe you find a diffrent way to cover costs, but this isnt it.

cookie

first off, thank you for being honest and for trying to update us more on your situation lately! i really hate to add onto a dogpile here, but honestly i've been wanting to say something about this for months; i don't know if i'm alone on this or not but i really have to get this off my chest. i really missed just having listening parties and livestreams for the low tier content. that was what i subscribed for, and after one of your announcements from this month i was really hoping that next year we'd get those back (or at least get more LPs again; i know you've had issues with livestreaming so i don't want to demand those again). the bonus content was just really unpredictable and i wasn't a huge fan of it, even if it was for groups i did like. i realize that bonus content is basically the content we'd get from a livestream, but it feels disorganized and less candid, plus it takes away the interactive nature that the streams would give! on top of that, there aren't as many listening parties or youtube reactions, which are not only my favorite content from you but they also motivated me to learn more about why i like certain songs and MVs--they helped me enjoy music better, and they helped me discover new albums and groups i didn't give a chance before (i've stanned and even ulted a few groups after some LPs and MV reactions, which i'm still so grateful for!) keep in mind that these are how must of us found you in the first place, so having these be low priority really sucks and it feels like a slap to the face. you've already seemed so stressed over a huge workload + other stuff happening irl, and i don't know your exact situation nor do i know how to solve any of this in a way that's best for you / your health + finances and us viewers, but i hope this is taken to heart (especially if other patrons feel the same way). with LPs getting moved up a tier and vaulting being restricted to a high tier, not to mention the inconsistency and the delays--i really can't afford to keep paying the $2/month when we're not getting the content we were promised in the first place, nor can i move all the way up to $10-20 (maybe $3-5 spring could've worked if we could get the older content back, but again i don't know if that works out for you). i'm really sorry PD, and i genuinely hope everything works out for you!

Ewtio

I think you misjudge the prices a bit because you're American. I heard you say multiple times that you think South Korea is cheap but honestly South Korea is for most people still so fucking expensive. For example I wanted to go for a student exchange program to Korea but it is like twice as expensive as what my family and I could do financially. I'm from Czech Republic, so definitely not a poor country by any means, from a middle class family as well so we're definitely not poor so I'm probably going to go to Germany which is much cheaper for example. To put it in context, Czech average wage is around 1500 USD/Month. If you consider how much you have to pay nowadays for everything, as a student my daily budget for food is around 6 dollars. With these prices on patreon if I wanna watch older content, it would cost me around 4 days of food.

Clover S

Hi Pd, Blaire, and team. I love your content. You provide a depth of familiarity, knowledge, and critical thought that I know I can’t easily find elsewhere, and I genuinely hope I can come back at some point, but the reorganization of tiers with the addition of a vaulting system makes the cost mismatched to how I consume your content. It’s simply not realistic or responsible of me to continue being a patron. I totally understand your financial/vimeo situation has pushed you into this setup, but I don’t think this will be a sustainable system for Patreon. For one, it creates a barrier to entry for those discovering you — if they have a specific group or content type that they want to watch that you have done in the past they would have to start at the higher tier to circumvent the vaulting system of 2 month old videos. This vaulting system also limits how current patrons consume content. I know I like to rewatch old reactions/commentaries or go back to discover groups through your old Patreon videos, and this experience would also be behind a taller pay wall. Second, for variety content, I think a lot of people often follow a few groups rather than a generalizable tier of “variety.” This is something that I often ran into with your Patreon tier setup, but I just kind of took it to the chin as a part of getting the content I did want. But I would be getting 2/3 unconsumed to 1/3 consumed for what I had access to. This price change especially exacerbates the negatives of how you choose to categorize content (just by type instead of having the tiers also acknowledge group/individual preference). Addressing this would admittedly greatly shift how you structure the tier system because it wouldn’t be solely hierarchical in how you dictate permissions for who sees what (Right now, the most expensive tier sees what the medium and small tier sees, Medium sees medium and small, small just sees small; shifting away from this would be more mentally taxing in terms of tracking especially since you already have some trouble with releases being shown to the wrong tier, but is more practical for how individual patrons consume your content). I think a tier for listening parties/MV’s as the base lower price tier, followed by more specified variety tier (which could take individual group/fandom preferences into account) and then maybe one for drama club/anime. I think you may have been trying to do too much in order to cast a wider net or to please the most amount of people possible, but I believe it’s becoming unsustainable. (Side note: I personally liked the Bonus Drop setup because you could get to random one-off videos that were still important to people but not necessarily worth a formal series, however I can see why that may have ended up being too much to take on) To the team and specifically PD, I respect and value you a lot. I hope things can improve both personally and professionally with the whole video hosting issue and the money problems you guys are encountering. I hope to come back once it becomes a realistic investment for me again.

Sandra l.

It won't affect me much since I'm an Autumn tier but you have at the moment almost 7000 patreons, which even if only one third are tier summer and up it would make you a rough 30K per month. And that's low bowling it... I understand the costs of producing all those videos and vimeo being what it is but what I don't understand is how come other patreons still manage to get by with about 1500 patreons, with tiers that are lower than you? I feel like we're missing information... of course this as nothing to do with your mental health and everyone should take a break when needed. It's 2 different issues.

Pina

Hi PD, thanks for the update. About the prices I have to agree with others above. It's not like currency rate for many of your patrons is a worry of yours but some people will be forced to back off since suggested prices aren't affordable. On the other hand I understand that you and your team have to deal with financial issues. I guess I'll come back every few months if I have some funds to support you like I did for the past year or two, I just wish some things were resolved before you've decided to make tiers more expensive (for example posting schedules before the end of the month so patrons who sign up for certain contents can decide whether they want to renew or not or meeting the schedule or vimeo issues). Unfortunately having access to only previous two months of content is a dealbreaker to many including me, especially when some of us are here just for one group. I see many people commenting on the content itself - I personally enjoy all music related stuff (listening parties, mv reactions, live stages) and variety shows (including documentaries or movies) related to artist that I follow and I feel like most people are here for it as well. I don't know what content gives you more engagement but maybe reconsider giving such a huge slot of your schedule to anime/dramas and make the schedule more realistic for you to follow, otherwise it's just frustrating for you and your patrons. Getting schedule for next month before the month ends would also be helpful and transparent, it seems like a basic thing to do tbh. Either way I really enjoyed and appreciate the amount of content you and your team created and shared with us for such a long time. Thanks for everything and see you next time.

Marcel Wannieck

In principle I totally understand your decisions and the reasons why you deem them to be necessary. Vimeo is basically scamming you, the current tier setup isn't paying your bills and you need to do something about that. Completely understandable. But reading the other comments here, it looks like you might lose a lot of Patrons over this. And unfortunately I also agree with a lot of what's being said here. PD, I love your content. You are my favourite reaction channel but you have one big issue that has been going on for a VERY long time: overpromising and underdelivering. Every few months you promise great improvements, new exciting projects and at first things do improve but after a few weeks it's back to how it was before. The delays still happen, some stuff doesn't come out at all and older content remains inaccessible. And I'm not just talking about the current scam Vimeo is pulling on you, there's a bunch of old Patreon reactions where the Vimeo link is just gone. Vincenzo EP 14 is one example. People have been telling you about it for months, if not years and I haven't even seen an acknowledgement of it from your side. And then there's Mood MKR. What happened to that? You mentioned this being a huge project that took six months of preparation. And what came of it? Two excellent interviews, a sorta weird video of Dezz and you in the desert or something and then the video with MCND on your own channel. That's it. Wasn't there supposed to be a new video every week? You even put out a schedule. But Mood Mkr just stopped after three weeks with no explanation. Obviously something must have happened to put an end to the Mood Mkr project and I'm curious: why did it end so prematurely? And what were your original plans for it? I know that it's not easy. Life happens, Vimeo scams you twice a year, your mental health isn't great and you're probably more frustrated about all the things that go wrong than any of us. But just promising that things will get better is not gonna be enough to justify another price increase. You've made many promises like that in the past but way too often you've not been able to keep them. You have to figure out a way to make good on your promises. So here's my proposal: DO LESS. PROMISE LESS. Reduce the number of things you watch at the same time. But be on time with the things you do promise! You're currently watching three animes plus FOUR live action dramas and I don't even know how many variety shows. Cut. It. Down. Reduce. I know that quite a few people wouldn't like that decision as they always want more but your mental and physical health are suffering. Most other reactors do ONE drama at a time, maybe two at most. There's one other reactor I support on Patreon. He does ten Patreon videos a week at most plus one or two YT videos a day and that's his limit. How you have been able to pump out as much as you have is a mystery to me. And it's clear that you cannot keep this up forever. The constant delays and canceled videos are proof of that. And there's one more issue that comes from this: you miss SO MANY COMEBACKS. I keep a list of pretty much everything that comes out in Kpop and remove songs from that list as soon as you react to them on Youtube. Which leaves me with a list of everything you've missed. Is that weird and obsessive? Probably. I just value your MV reactions way too much. They're still by far my favourite kind of content that you do. This year you've missed around 100 different MVs you'd probably have checked out if you'd had the time. And there are some big names in there. Solo projects from members of Mamamoo, Pentagon, BTOB, SHINee, Weki Meki, EXO, GOT7, KARD, NCT and others, as well as other groups and soloists you've checked out before. Bibi, P1Harmony, Kingdom, Onewe, Xdinary Heroes, Secret Number, TAN, Blank2y, AleXa, Trendz, B.I, Verivery, Just B, Tempest, etc. There's more and I haven't even mentioned all of the promising debuts that flew under your radar. I put the complete list under your post where you asked for suggestions, you might have seen it. Now, I understand that MV reactions don't make you any money as they're on Youtube for free. This is just an idea but maybe you could do a sort of Patreon exclusive catch up for the MVs you've missed. You can upload them to Youtube but keep the videos unlisted and provide the links for the lowest support tier. I'm not strictly against you moving the tiers around but this catch up thing could provide some additional value to your $2 patrons beyond just early access and it shouldn't cost any extra bandwidth money. Does that sound good? I'll happily put together a playlist for you as well so you won't have to look for the MVs yourself. Now, here's my biggest issue with your announcement: the vaulting is an absolute no-go. I get the idea. Limit bandwidth. But this is the biggest thing that'll lose you subscribers. Not being able to access content older than two months, no matter what it is, unless you pay $20 is quite frankly ridiculous. I am VERY far behind on your drama club and whenever I do get around to it, I binge a show in a few days. But with this vaulting system I wouldn't even be able to do this if I started the binge as soon as you're done with a show. I just do not have the time to keep up with your Patreon content as you upload it. With the vaulting system, your Patreon essentially becomes worthless to me unless I move to Autumn tier. And I don't know if I can justify that cost. So please fix your consistency first, post your schedules before the end of the month, reduce the overall amount of content you release so that you can actually keep your promises and ditch the vaulting idea. It's gonna do more harm to your Patreon than good. Have fun on your camping trip! Here's to a better 2023!

Elise H. (XxXIllegirlARMYXxX)

I'm glad that my yearly autumn tier subscription runs until april '23, but since I lost my job earlier this year and I went back to school, I probably will have to leave for a while since there's barely any money coming in rn and I can't justify a 22 euro cost then but your content is still my favourite though.

Letícia

Damn gotta watch a lot of older content now before that vaulting kicks in 😭 Since I don't earn money in USD and my currency is significantly worse, it's a shame it'll end up way too expensive for me to support you with $20 monthy.. especially since I don't watch most of your content as soon as it comes out so the 2-month rule is sort of a deal-breaker which is unfortunate Personally, I'll most likely still subscribe to that $10 tier in January (EDIT: thinking about it better now I'll probably be better off subbing in February since I'll get the content for that month + January) since I really wanted to see those award show reactions.. but after this change I'll have to strategically come back only on specific months where groups I like have made a comeback and I'm interested in their listening parties (which are not even guaranteed to be out according to schedule) :/ Still wish you all the best in 2023 and I hope you make it out of that debt!

Letícia

Hey.. any chance you can drop that list of missed MVs publicly or in my messages so I can personally check what I've missed throughout the year? It sounds awesome

i agree with marcel - i think the biggest issue with your patreon right now is that you're valuing quantity over quality. please be realistic about what you can handle and take it step by step! i understand that you are not a company and things happen unexpectedly. but that's why it's even more important that you set yourself a limit and focus on what you can produce reliably and sustainably because otherwise you will just feel worse AND you will lose patrons (as this comment section shows). another thing that has been bothering me personally - i know you built a community here, especially through livestreams (which you haven't been doing lately, for reasons i know - but still). but personally i feel a bit uncomfortable when you share long and very personal explanations on the traumatic things that happen in your life, the reasons you can't upload something on time, etc. i'm not saying that you shouldn't post these things at all, like i said, you're not a company, you're a human being and this is your community. but i feel like there's a certain extent to which it is appropriate maybe? i guess i'm just curious if other people also feel that way, because i'm a casual subscriber and i know a lot of other people here are more invested than me and appreciate when or the way you share these things. this is your patreon, you can do whatever you like with it and i'm glad when it helps people who relate, especially because i also struggle with my mental health. but if you decide to be so open in your posts and reap the benefits of a community, you should also invest in and sustain that community, which i feel like is sadly not the case at the moment. i appreciate your hard work but i hope you can reflect on this. all the best!

Mina

Im a little sad lol, i do think you guys should have put a disclaimer in the youtube vids when vimeo started locking videos this month because i joined this patreon for the first time in Dec and wasnt able to watch anything and so it was kind of a big waste of money. Im going to be leaving because there seems to be a lot of changes and stuff that i dont really understand but when everything gets worked out you should make a post on youtube to inform everyone. I do appreciate all of your hard work and hope you are doing well though. Im interested in coming back when everything gets figured out.

Marie

Thank you for the notice and transparency! The change makes sense to me and I hope it will help ease your debt, I know a lot of people are disappointed and unhappy but I hope that it'll get better! In the end we're all here on Patreon to support you!! It's so true that it's impossible to predict how life goes but I do hope you can find some happiness and enjoyment while camping and know there's still so many people out here supporting you!

sunnyside

Hey PD! Know I'm not writing this with any malice. I've been an on and off patron since 2018! that's crazy! so as a long-term supporter whose tier often fluctuates based on content being released and my own financial situation, the restructuring sucks. I've given you a LOT of money over the years and I feel like me and other longterm supporters have more than paid our share to continue watching old content without some vault gimmick. I understand restructuring has to be done, but this is far too extreme, as are the price changes. As a long-term supporter, I'm going to confirm the biggest issue with this Patreon has ALWAYS been scheduling and overpromising. The simple fact is you struggle with life and that affects your work. I get that! I'm home from work because of mental health today. But this is a long-running issue and you KNOW you aren't good at scheduling, as does your team! The core of that problem is pretty blatant as well. You had some issues with lighter schedules, then in the past year or two you started releasing frankly UNREALISTIC amounts of content for anybody. You are never going to make it all, and you don't. But you keep promising it. And your "simpler" content that draws people here in there first place-- MV REACTIONS and LISTENING PARTIES-- gets forgotten about. You've missed far more releases than you've covered this year. And while it's true that KPOP is really oversaturated right now, you're missing big releases as well. You really, really need to cut back on dramas/anime/etc reactions. Stick to one or two dramas at a time. Stick to one or two anime at a time. Bonus drops are fun. Keep them. Don't promise too much, but record reactions to things that interest you and release as you see fit. In general, you really need to learn to focus in on the important things that draw people to you as a creator again. Reactions to MVs and Listening Parties aren't the most profitable, but you've completely let go of them this year. I'm not saying STOP the longform content and variety, but you need to remember it IS the core of your channel. I will likely keep supporting you for now as I have the money and will adjust as I see fit, but please don't take any of this as attacks. This is your job and your team's job, and as customers many of us have been sitting on feelings of discontent for a while. This is just the straw that breaks the camel's back. All the love. Please take care going into the new year. This time of year is hard for a lot of us. When you come back, sit down with your team and read what we're saying and really, really listen to us before moving forward with extreme changes. Changes need to happen, but not just on our end. You guys have to make it worth it.

hey, pd! i've been supporting the patreon for quite some time now, and the youtube channel for even longer. i moved to patreon mainly for the listening parties, and everything else was a delightful surprise – your content has always been too good. but the thing is, i'm not from the us, and i've always struggled a bit when it comes to currency; in brazil, US$1 equates to 6$. even though i'd love to keep watching patreon content, paying 60$ in brazilian currency is just not possible for me. i'm always discovering other groups, and i've always looked forward to knowing your opinion on their discography, extra music videos, bsides, etc. and i keep going back to older videos. but then again, the current autumn tier is 120$ for me. it's just impossible to pay. with even 2 month old videos being sent to the archive, i don't think i'll ever have the means to properly pay for and consume patreon content from form of therapy. i get where you're coming from and the difficulties you face with this website, but it's unfortunately just not an option for me anymore. i really hope you understand where i - and other foreign patrons - are coming from. wishing you guys all the best.

The second point is an issue I have as well! I think it's easy to for the content creator to forget that their small paid community isn't small anymore, and while they aren't a business there does need to be a bit more professionalism. I understand choosing to vent a little and let us know why some things are running late, but I think it's better to keep things briefer on the details. Life happens. However, sometimes it feels like the oversharing is to excuse copious amounts of neglect for the scheduling. Which would be fine a few times, but this has been the result of over-promising and over-scheduling for years, and it happens monthly at this rate. :( I genuinely do want the best for PD as a person, I've been supporting since 2018! But I don't really need to know all the gory details all the time. If PD does want to vent, I think it would be more constructive to leave the updates more professional (but the actual issue of scheduling does need to be resolved in the new year) and save the more detailed personal talk for a less frequent podcast that people can skip if they're uncomfortable, and those that want to engage can.

Marit G

Hey PD! I hope you will have a nice camping trip! I was looking forward to the award shows reactions all month when I saw your schedule but seeing it got delayed im a bit upset by it. I feel forced in a way to stay for another month when I actually cant afford to do that. That in combination with the upped prices makes it a even harder pill to swallow. I was really looking forward to it but im just not okay with the scheduling. Ive seen it happen for months now and I was okay with it because I know you put a lot of work in it but I sadly have to unsubscribe after all this time. I hope I can come back some day but with only 2 months before vaulting I dont think I will be able to watch the content I want in time when I do have the money for a subscription. All the best of luck and wishes!

flowerbit

Honestly I get it. After all these years hearing about how much Vimeo has cost u guys, I think it’s definitely the best decision for y’all to make those videos more expensive for the average person to watch. I feel like it’s the only way to lower the cost u guys are having to bare, while still not getting rid of the huge backlog of content that people want to watch. Obviously Autumn tier is too pricey for most people, but honestly $20 to access thousands of videos including dramas, anime, variety shows, and everything else seems like a fair trade off to me

Candela Morales

Hi PD! I dont even know if you will ever read this but I thought I should give my opinion since I've been a patreon for over a year and a half now. I pay the lowest tier and not because I want, but because I cant afford paying more. Im form South America and even $2 for me is a lot. To be honest, I'm only really interested in two or three groups, so the content I actually watch here is very little. I really love your listening parties (that's the reason I joined in the first place) and your livestreams, but you post a schedule and promise certain videos or uploads and you never follow that. I was really looking forward to Sundays when you upload your bonus drops, but that stopped happening as well. You aren't uploading almost any Youtube videos and you have missed a lot! I don't want you to feel extra pressured but you should also understand that people are paying you. I understand everything that's been going on in your life and how hard things can get, but unfortunately I won't be able to keep paying, even if it's $2 only for support? I'm sorry but I can't. I wish you all the best, sincerely.

ugh. as a long time patron, i find it very difficult to have to comment on how you run your patreon, PD. but as time has gone on and many things have changed, the longer i support frankly the more i feel quality and consistency have gone down. you've taken on too many things at once, not only at the cost of your mental health but at the cost of trust between you and the people who support you monthly. everytime when you post the schedule i give it a glance to see what you'll be releasing for the month. in truth, i'm mainly here for reactions to my ult group. i catch a few other things on my casual groups here and there, and will stick with watching a drama or two if they interest me. i've personally never had to desperately wait for a reaction live some people have waited months for a listening party, but i can imagine how disappointing that must feel. especially when people subscribe just to see that one specific video sometimes. regarding your schedules, i've learned to expect some videos to just not get released. and tbh it's even irritating how schedules SHOULD be released a few days before the new month to give people time to decide if it's worth resubbing for, yet it always gets released DAYS after. with scheduled releases as well, it's been happening regularly for months now, and when it does it takes, honestly an absurd amount of time to get updates, if at all. for example, just a few days ago the post about the award shows and alice in borderland being posted later that night. i considered staying up a little late to watch some award show performances, but ultimately figured you wouldn't deliver on your word to post until the next day, and i was right. frankly, i don't think it's right to promise something and not deliver, especially it's it's something we pay for. just say you can't post until the next day. i've been overlooking a lot of these instances for months because i understand life happens, things happen, and you can't control every aspect of your life. and as someone who just cares about you, (i honestly don't think i would have stuck around this long if i didn't) i wish you could see that spreading yourself thin like this to the point where you miss out on so many things, whether comebacks and debuts, live performances (which i miss regular reactions to dearly). i'll say it, i fucking miss livestreams. i miss the community aspect of this patreon. but you're only one person, and i understand there is a limit to what you can do, and understand that livestreams are time consuming. but does it really differ that must from the separate recording time of all your bonus drops? i just don't really understand the logistics of why they were dropped. anyways, what i'm trying to get at here is that there has to be some other solution to fixing up all the problems with your scheduling, promising too much just to underdeliver. i think you need an entire overhaul of your patreon and i don't know, cut shows and variety's that get the lowest engagement. you'll inevitably upset a few people, but i think that's worth jeopardizing losing people who are on the higher tiers and pay more. as for the vimeo issue, if the moving of older videos is the only way to justify the bandwidth consumption, i'll be really sad honestly. i'm guilty of going back to your older listening parties and reactions of my ult group when there's nothing of theirs you're checking out a particular month. i hope you can find another solution because it seems most of us can not afford autumn tier if that's the way you're planning to go. seriously, i'm not saying any of this to criticize you, i just want this to be viable again. you should be watching maybe one or two animes and dramas at MOST. i love your content, PD, i really do, but if it stays this way i might consider going to just support tier if i'm not getting much else out of this. regardless, i hope you get the much needed healing time you deserve on this camping trip and consider some things when you get back. sending well wishes and love. here's to a better 2023.

Hey PD – I understand that changes have to be made due to circumstances out of your control, but I find the approach that’s been decided rather unfair especially when you consider all the issues that have happened this month on Patreon. I have been subscribed to your Patreon for several months, so I have paid to have access to this content and vaulting the content to the Autumn tier ultimately takes away the product that I paid for. With the conversion rate I cannot justify paying for the Autumn tier just to access the valuted content (especially when I have no interest in watching the other videos available on that tier). I also find that it will likely deter newer Patreons from joining as they can only watch a limited amount of content for a reasonable price (plus I hope what they sign up for will be made clear, as even your scehdules are currently Patreon only). While the inconsistency of the schedule is frustrating it is understandable because life happens, but I cannot stick around if I can’t even go back and watch older content while I wait for newer content to come out – that’s ridiculous.

ana_uaena

Hi PD KBS and SBS shows are available on Viki, however is only for PLUS subscribers

Milli Mey

Unlike many other people I won't leave your Patreon but I definitely also won't subscribe to autumn tier as that is just too expensive. Which is sad though because what I watch most often are my favorite old videos of yours. Honestly I would prefer for you to stop watching all those series, animes and variety shows and instead focus on what your Patrons enjoy watching the most: MVs and Listening Parties. Because it's those that you've been neglecting the most but it's also this content that most people are here for.

Big L

Disappointed by the vaulting decision. I'm a fairly new patron, and the vimeo issues started right around when I subbed, so I've been looking forward to be able to watch some of the older stuff that hasn't been available. This change basically makes it so I wasted my money. I hope that you reconsider and look for potential alternatives.

Panda Truthseeker

Soo I decided to sign up for Patreon last night, since I have some free time for the rest of Dec and early January and have been looking forward to marathoning Produce 48 and catch up on some other reactions too. Well, I COMPLETELY forgot that Patreon renews on the 1st of every month until seconds after I clicked to subscribe lol, but by then it was too late... I felt disappointed for a moment, but having been a Patreon in the past (over a year ago) I didn't mind having another payment withdrawn in a few days time, since your kpop reactions are one of the best and I've always appreciated your devotion to releasing such a variety of content, both in quality and quantity.. Well, after subscribing, I get back to your main page and read this post about older Vimeo videos no longer working.. I went to Produce 48 page to check, and sure enough, the first several episodes aren't available.... I was planning on catching up on hours and hours worth of your older content, but it would appear most of it isn't available.. I know it's not your fault, PD, but if I had known your older videos weren't currently working, I would have held off on subscribing until you got it sorted out.. I really wish there had been some warning on the front of your patreon somewhere, maybe on the banner or something, so I would have known and wouldn't have wasted my money. I have a mere 3 and a half days worth of my Patreon membership before the 1st to sift through what content actually is working that I have an interest in, as I will be canceling and will support other Kpop reactor's Patreon channels going forward whose videos actually work. I don't mean to be harsh. I always spend my money wisely and put a lot of thought into committing to any subscription, whatever it might be, and I can't help but feel ripped off, tbh.

Ailsa998

It's all just getting a bit much now if I'm being honest. I want to support you, I really do, but it's difficult when there is just such inconsistency and often a complete lack of communication or blatant ignoring of certain issues. There's only so much promise of change and improvement before enough is enough. I don't want to sound harsh, but I'm just being honest; I think as someone who has contributed a lot of money to this Patreon I am allowed to be this way. Every month there seems to be a new issue or lack of change and simple fixes aren't being done. Things like always releasing the schedule AFTER payment has been taken don't sit right with me and I think this has been brought up multiple times but has never been changed. Also, disregarding comments about the Vimeo issue on old videos until eventually they were addressed; it was not an immediate response, which it should have been when people are paying for something that is not being carried out. It also doesn't sit right with me that this issue hasn't been made clear to new Patreons? If it were me, I'd feel guilty taking people's money when I know that a huge bulk of the content they are paying to view is just not there (obviously I am aware that you've had to deal with Vimeo behind the scenes and it's not a quick fix but still it seems like you are just trying to bury the issue for the time being and still letting people join regardless). It's clear that the workload that has been taken on is not manageable so I think an overhaul is needed. I don't know all the engagement statistics but from purely just going off of comments and likes on posts, there are clearly better performing videos, those being listening parties, MVs, and some content like live performances and one-off variety shows. It seems like what the majority actually want is being cast aside to try and churn out as many shows from as many different groups as possible which is unsustainable. Obviously cutting these shows would make some unhappy but I think in the long run would be for the best. I would be happy to support if there was some acknowledgment of these long-standing issues, but it's hard to keep giving money when any promise of change hasn't been upheld in the past.... I notice a lot of the other comments agree with these points so I really hope this does get through to you and you really think about what you are going to do with the Patreon moving forward. All the best for 2023.

Marill

Hello PD, I hope you have fun and rest on your trip and take care of yoourself. It's really unfortunate what's happening with vimeo, they're taking advantage of this situation and a debt like that is no funny business and the current tier is not enough, I understand that but I have to agree with what has been said above. I'm currently on Autumn Tier but I was planing on changing to summer tier bc I don't follow that many groups and I always like to watch old content and that was good enough for me and I can't even do that . I completely understand the purpose of the vaulting and as a solution for the current problem, but I can't stop myself and think that one of the many issues is not only vimeo, but also overpromising about new content and underdelivering and It's not something that's happening now, it's been happening for months and at this point it's irresponsible to keep carrying it like this. I know life happens, you're running a business but as a business and even if it's a source of entertaintment it's also an invesment for us patreons, I'm not from the states so to me the currency conversion makes a huge difference for me and to be paying this amount for something that keeps being underdelivered or simply not coming it's really disappointing. I don't know if someone already said this, I'm not even sure if you even are gonna read this but I think it would be good to think about decreace the amount of content and get set on what actually it's more suitable to upload and stop promising things you know it's not gonna be up on time, bc it's bad for you, it's a lot of stress and bad for you mental health and also a loss for the viewers. You're doing too much and delivering too little, too many delays and it's keeps happening. If this keeps going it also means loss of followers that are willing to pay but and are not getting what they are paying for. Quality over cuantity. Takes care PD, hope all of this gets a better solution.

Hrathen

What's the downside of using YouTube to host the videos? Just unlist them all so no copyright infringement? Also my two cent on my personal use case: as PD mentioned a long time ago during a podcast with umu from reacttothek I think, reactors provide a service to viewers because they can provide that satisfying reaction the viewers had on their first watch and want to feel again through another because they can't recapture it themselves. So tldr I mostly just watch and rewatch MV reactions and Listening parties. Not really interested in drama, award shows, etc. etc. Ofc this is just my case

randomAlienVisitor

even if videos are unlisted they are subject to the copyright claim system, plus people could just share the links for free.

SenifyLeah

Hey PD I had already written a rather long text, but decided not to post it. I agree with most of the comments here above. For January I will put my account on support and depending on the explanation and content from you I update or cancel. From then on, I will have to look every month whether you have content in the month that interests me, or not. I really love your videos, which is why I always liked to rewatch old videos when I just had nothing to watch on your Patreon (those videos were what made me pay although there was no new content I was interested in). So often with songs I think how cool your reaction to the song was and I watch the video again. Because of Vimeo this isn't possible right now, and as it reads, this will be possible in the future only if I will pay about twice as much as now. I'm not an expert when it comes to video hosting, but I'm sure you've read into the possibilities and if this is the only option, I'll have to deal with the idea that I won't be seeing your old videos anymore unfortunately. But I can't pay twice as much as I already do to watch something I've already seen. This month I updated my tier for the award shows and Stray Kids Content. People who only changed tier for the award shows have now been disappointed again and to see the rest of the shows they have to pay January too. To put it frankly: On your Patreon people pay money for things they don't get and it has become so much of a habit that no one is surprised anymore. With any other product, no one would just take it. We do this because we care about you. Please take care of yourself PD. If I can make a wish for the future: Promise for the monthly plan only as much as you manage to deliver. When you wrote this month that all the content for December was pre-filmed, I thought maybe the Patreon was now going in a right direction again. But at the end of the month the promises could not be kept again. This reads like an accusation, but it is not meant to be one. It just shows that the Patreon as it is currently run does not work or only works because you have many people who like you and want to support you, even if it is not going well. It was a good idea to seek help from the people on Patreon themselves, because we want to help you very much. I had also offered to help out and give input on how to present the Patreon. Now I would add one more thing: I don't know how you currently film your videos, but maybe it would be helpful to not only give us a monthly release, but also give yourself a monthly schedule (and I mean that literally). Write down on which day and at what time you watch what content. Last but not least, a small well-intentioned but also selfish wish from me: Bring back the livestreams. You don't have to film bonus drops if you have livestreams. Yes, they are time consuming, but doesn't chatting live with us while watching something give you more joy than sitting alone in front of your PC watching the videos? I loved the livestreams so much. Even if you use them to watch your own listed videos and don't let the listeners vote. I think it would be more fun for you and us as well as boost the community aspect of this patreon which I miss dearly.

wony

old videos that literally don’t work and like me a new subscriber, didn’t even know they are unavailable so i fully can’t enjoy the $20 that i paid for. so they need to fix that issue first before increasing anything.

flowerbit

Yeah. That whole thing is really frustrating. the most annoying part is that it’s once again Vimeo’s fault. Idk why it takes them so long to resolve the issues. But yeah, as a long time subscriber, I’ll say that to me the $20 was definitely worth it a month or two ago when the old videos were working still. But now it’s definitely not, until that is resolved.

atla!!

Hi PD! Hope you're having a good trip. I'm mostly just chiming in to agree with the general consensus of the comment section here. I'm an on and off summer subscriber only interested in music and music videos. I don't watch variety, drama or anime content, and I have no interest in watching it. So I'm a little frustrated I would need to double my sub just to sit down with a three month old listening party. I know that MV and album reactions have taken a backseat this year, but I'm not a huge fan of that, and I don't think I'm the only one in this boat. I'm here because I like your perspective on music and music videos. In the event I have to keep sifting through a ton of content I don't watch to get a couple of things each month, I'm probably going to be cutting back to the $2 tier because I like you as a person but can't justify $120 a year for the amount of music reactions we get per month, while also being unable to rewatch old video or check out your reactions to a group's backlog when or if I decide to get into them. Like a lot of people, I really do think you should consider cutting some of the non-music stuff you're reacting to each month, because you seem overloaded all the time with content I'm not sure of the popularity on. Maybe your metrics are showing something different, and if so, then you should definitely do what works best for your business and your content creation, but I really hope you'll keep us all updated if your current ratio of television to variety to music reactions are going to stay the same. If there was an option for a $15 tier that only provided access to all the music reactions, I would be willing to upgrade if I saw consistency in following your schedule. I get that things can be crazy and don't blame you for dealing with trouble, but I'm not going to increase my sub if I'm not going to get the content I was promised. I really hope you can get on track with monthly schedules coming out before resub day and be mostly on track with posting video, obviously circumstances allowing. I actually like bonus drops, because livestreams are never at a good time for me, but livestreams do seem more enjoyable, so even if you made a list of stuff for bonus drops and did those on stream instead of letting your viewers vote, then maybe did a regular bonus drop release for anything you didn't get through, that might be fun?

Haruka

I agree with you on a lot of points-- except the MVs. Maybe he doesnt want to? Or already watched them/hear them before without a reaction video. It can happen. If so, then it's understandable in my opinion. Like, i cant expect him to react everything :D On drama clubs, i couldnt agree more. There are roughly 16 eps per drama, like average. Max 4 eps a month; which means it would take 4 months to complete a drama. With vaulting, a patron must have the highest tier or resub every two months to catch up. Not really sustainable.

Lauren Rose

I'm in the exact same boat, I have watched PD for years on youtube and decided this month I could afford to subscribe and catch up on content for my favourite groups. Come to find out more than half the content I wanted to watch is unavailable, left me thinking why isn't there a public announcement about this? I'm really disappointed with how this has been handled considering this was a known issue for seemingly quite a long time.

Lauren Rose

Definitely should have been a public announcement so those who subscribed after the content went down were aware they could not access large amounts of what they paid for.

Incheonguy

Sadly it's evident they don't read these comments. Otherwise broken links would get fixed the 1st time people made a comment, but instead they go unnoticed until a community post or DM is sent. We are only talking to ourselves here.

Luisa Lis

hey, pd! i've been supporting the patreon for quite some time now, and the youtube channel for even longer. i moved to patreon mainly for the listening parties, and everything else was a delightful surprise – your content has always been too good. but the thing is, i'm not from the us, and i've always struggled a bit when it comes to currency; in brazil, US$1 equates to 6$. even though i'd love to keep watching patreon content, paying 60$ in brazilian currency is just not possible for me. i'm always discovering other groups, and i've always looked forward to knowing your opinion on their discography, extra music videos, bsides, etc. and i keep going back to older videos. but then again, the current autumn tier is 120$ for me. it's just impossible to pay. with even 2 month old videos being sent to the archive, i don't think i'll ever have the means to properly pay for and consume patreon content from form of therapy. i get where you're coming from and the difficulties you face with this website, but it's unfortunately just not an option for me anymore. i really hope you understand where i - and other foreign patrons - are coming from.

oranguchang

I barely have time to watch content much less keep up with the Patreons I follow. I do enjoy reactions to live stages the most, personally. I don't watch reactions to dramas or varieties because I just watch those on my own and don't need to re-watch. I'm sure as a creator you are torn between combining doing the content and watching things you actually want to watch versus what people request you to watch. It probably gets overwhelming. Take care of yourself first, get yourself organized and don't over-promise things. Your health isn't worth twisting yourself all over the place to please everybody.

ac0rn

The least you can do is update the next month's schedule ahead of payment day. The way you're handling this patreon is so unprofessional and manipulative. With the amount of subscribers that you have and the amount of money that your business is making, you really need to have some sort of better infrastructure or you're going to lose of subscribers (even long time ones like me). There is no excuse for being so late on promised posts, no schedules for weeks expecting people to just pay up front, old broken videos not being handled...

Harley

Hi PD, I read through everyone's comments and also just mentally compiled all the complaints that I've seen about this patreon for almost 4 years? (I've been here since the very beginning so I can see the repeating patterns and how much this community has grown). I think you really need to reduce the the amount of longer content you make like the dramas and variety shows that are longer than like 30 minutes. I think you need to logistically look at what it is that people on your patreon on actually watching and prioritize those and make sure those videos are done before you get to anything else. There are times I've seen certain reactions only get like 5 likes while there is content that gets hundreds. Now before someone says anything I'm not saying likes and comments are important in deciding what is important or not.. I can't judge it but that is the metric I as a patron can only see. PD you can look at the view count and the bandwidth I assume and determine what is deemed the most watched content vs what is not as popular. Now, I know a lot of people are going to say well then PD is only going to react to the big groups and not look at smaller groups that they might be interested in. I think maybe a way to fix that is to cut it up and say (these nummbers are arbitrary PD could decided by how much they can logistically handle) "Okay I will react to 3 big bgs/ggs and 2 smaller bgs/ggs per month" for lets say variety content since that is what takes up a lot of time for kpop videos. This way you are prioritizing what your patrons are actually watching while also making time for other groups you would want to watch but may not get as much viewership or may interest a patron to check out a group. A lot of people are missing the community aspect of this patreon. I know there is a really old discord server that's been lost, but I think maybe trying to set that back up again as a place for people to talk and maybe have a channel in that people can submit reaction requests would be easier than the community tab. Also having a channel where people can write when something goes down/isn't working can let people see what is down and a moderator can respond with updates on it to show accountability. Now I know with this idea that means you'll need to either hire someone that knows how Discord works and can make it for you or just have experience users become a team of moderators that can volunteer and help you work on it. There needs to be an easier place for people to request help and for your team to be able to see it. Transparency is an issue when it comes to the schedule and what exactly is happening to the channel. Every patron is basically one of your investors for this company so in order to get full support a lot of us just want updates and honesty about what you can handle and what timeline. I think an idea is that you do a livestream once a month where you go through the plans for next month and what changes are going to be made. Being able to talk about the schedule and what to expect for next month is helpful for both the patrons and your team. This could also just help to make sure the schedule is out BEFORE the start of the next month which is crucial for a lot of patrons. This livestream could also let people ask questions about content and maybe give ideas on how to improve the channel because I honestly don't even think you're going to read all these comments. I think you need to figure the main complaints people have before you increase the prices. I'm autumn patron and I'm from the US, so these tier changes do not affect me, but you can see there are A LOT of patrons who cannot financially change tiers. Also it's not fair to the long term lower tier patrons who want to watch old content if they get vaulted. A lot of patrons use your reactions as way to watch permium content they cannot afford or access like some people cannot afford to pay over $100 for all seasons of bon voyage but they can afford to support you and watch your reaction but with this vaulting system they won't be able to enjoy the content with you if they cannot afford the autumn tier or even be able to access it if the vimeo issue is not resolved. I'm still going to support you since I enjoy the content you put out but there really needs to be a change if you want to find stability if you want to continue doing this channel full time.

Incheonguy

I am sorry a lot of people comment about livestreams but honestly. Not all of us are in the same country or time zones. So live streams are only valuable to those of you in the US in close proximity to the time PD does them. To the rest of us they hold very little if any value. Unless the stream is posted as a video directly after, spending time doing that instead of recording content we can view anytime is not worth paying for.

Harley

The livestream would be available afterwards as a vod so people can watch or maybe after the stream there can be a summary of what was said posted like meeting minutes. No matter what is implemented people are going to miss out on it but at least it’s a way for some people to get real time communication or at least a way to keep PD accountable to update us on the schedule and get immediate feedback

Portal_Paw

Hopefully they don’t cause the drama reactions are the only reason me and a lot of other people are here

I know a lot of people don't care about drama/anime or long variety shows and would rather focus on listening parties and MVs... but for me the main reason I subscribed as a Patreon (to support PD and other reactors) is for the variety content that can't be uploaded on youtube bacause it's too long and copyrighted (good girl, queedom, gp999) and now we're getting even more smaller content like 1,2,3 ive, leniverse... I watched a couple dramas as well, but that's not so important for me... The thing is that people are gonna say they want this type of content so you can cut the other ones, they want livestreams, but half of the people can't even watch it live as they live in different timezones, so they can't even have the chance to request anything in the chat and ends up watching other people's requests... whatever pd chooses there will be some unhappy people... this is just about the content, the price is something else and I guess we will have to see what happens when the price goes up

v

Hi PD, many commenters have stated this, but a huge part of the issue is the overpromising and underdelivering. I've been a patron for two years and I honestly signed up just to support you--I didn't even think I would watch any of your content. But that month you started watching the variety show of my ult group, and every month I started developing expectations about what content you would put out. Even now, I probably only watch 3-4 videos on this channel every month. And that's enough for me. I don't need /more/ content from you. I'm subbed at summer tier and I genuinely want the money to go to you. The issue is when you put something on your schedule and then it gets delayed or dropped. If you didn't put it on your schedule, I wouldn't develop that expectation and would be way less frustrated. Like the others are saying, you need to cut down on the content and make a realistic schedule that you can sustain. It feels like we go through a cycle every few months of this. There are a few months where things are great and on schedule, then there are a few months where things are constantly delayed, ad infinitum. To be honest, I've learned to just accept that things won't come out on schedule because at the end of the day, I came into this wanting to support you and wasn't expecting to get anything in return. The straw that breaks the camel's back, though, is that every few months you make a post like this and everything implodes. It's just a lot for everyone emotionally. We thought we were coming here to watch kpop content lmao. The constant ups and downs and then the big dramatic post and the fallout from it. It's just a lot. Please take care of yourself PD. I think you're brilliant and I have so much respect for you, but something needs to change if you want this patreon to work.

kasey

hey i’m really not trying to be mean… just trying to understand. I subscribed this month basically for old content and especially award show season, does that mean that now i payed for nothing?? again, not trying to be rude but idk… like okay sure the whole vimeo not working is causing troubles with old videos but cmon, award season too?? even thought it was promised on the schedule?? i payed for nothing?

Marlene C

Just wanted to drop my 2 cents on this convo. I have to agree with other people in these comments. Ive been an on and off patreon supporter and have been watching your yt channel since 2017. I think like most people here we joined the patreon for more kpop reactions and content. While I understand that things change and you've moved more into kdrama and variety content it feels like theres an inconsistentcy problem. Every couple of months you post a life update (which most of the times is oversharing of personal issues) and an announcement of tier changes, content schedules and delays. I keep waiting to see mv reactions but theres so much you've missed I eventually give up on the idea of ever seeing your reactions to them. The constant delays on the content you are watching makes this tier price change odd. I know it looks like the comments are dogpiling you righ now but if this many people are feeling the same way maybe its time to evaluate how youre running the patreon/yt channel.

Marlene C

This! I dont want to make assumptions but the more this happens the more clear it becomes that PD is using his personal struggles to manipulate supporters into dealing with delayed content and fake promises

Bunnyjeli Jeli

It's my second time subscribing .. the first time I didn't notice anything wrong I just watched old content but this month I decided to subscribe again to see what you're up to and new videos and I do understand that the vinmeo situation is out of your hand but I litrally subscribed for nothing ... idk I'm kinda disappointed and probably will forget about subscribing again.. hope you will have a nice last of year though and hope it will get better

Marlene C

Yeah sadly it seems like they tend to avoid real criticism and help from the viewers. We'll most likely get another post about how he's taking another break because people in the comments were "mean"

Phillippa Rose

To be honest at this point it's hard to feel empathetic towards you. I understand life happens but it always feels like you use that as a get out of jail free card imo. I mean you prolonged talking to patreons about the issues with vimeo head on, leaving many confused and wondering why you seemingly repeatedly ignored their calls for concerns regarding this issue. Futhermore you've not shared this information about your patreon difficulties outside of patreon, meaning that people who sign up now are anticipating and paying for content which you aren't delivering on. To add insult to injury you've continued to promote your patreon on youtube knowing there were unaddressed issues which meant half the promised content was no longer available. There have been red flags even before this, such as only posting the schedule days into the month rather than before the 1st when subscriptions renew. Not to mention the infrequenties with uploading on both patreon and youtube. It really does feel like you're scamming people at this point, and this feels like the final straw on the cammels back. Taking money of people in exchanged for promised content and then backing out on delivering upon that is daylight theft- this isn't even due to vimeo either as look, new content you promised e.g award show reactions have been pushed back again. I may sound harsh but it's hard to care about what you're going through when you've basically stolen from us and are trying to deflect by trauma dumping. I'm sorry life is shitty but that isn't my fault, but these things are your fault and all I want from you now is to take accountability.

Rudy de Swart

Yeah, then I guess you basically subbed for nothing. Something being on the schedule doesn't mean a whole lot I'm afraid. Like you can read in the comments there is a lot of overpromising and underdelivering.

Sarahvtae

Completely agree! No to be that person...but it's low-key starting to feel like a scam.

Rudy de Swart

First of all, I hope you are having a nice camping trip and I wish you all the best for 2023 and beyond. The tiers change is neither here nor there for me because I can't afford/justify spending more on this than I already do anyway, so I don't really have an opinion on that. What does make me consider not renewing next month is the way the Vimeo issue was and is being handled. This has been going on for well over a month now and I still see people subbing only to find out that the older content is unavailable. This should have at least been addressed on your Youtube channel. I understand the issue is not your fault but you did drop the ball on how you handled it. Sorry if this comes across as harsh but I believe honesty is always the best policy.

Sarahvtae

Nope. That's not the case at all. PD constantly asks about the things they've missed in terms of mv's/comebacks...then promises to get to all of these things, BUT then never watches/reacts to any of it. AND then when they somehow find out, that there was smth, they say stuff like "i didn't know", "how did i miss this?", "why did no one tell me?"...it is FRUSTRATING. At first PD limited the reactions on new and underrated groups and mainly focused on popular artists (which is already bad), but now they're not even keeping up with a lot of popular groups...and that is unacceptable, seeing how this is their full-time job. And PD doesn't check out stuff on their own.

archie :D

honestly just shut down the patreon you’re going to do it anyway

Aurayaya

This post is getting way too personal on some aspects and too much out of control lol. I think it's time that some people here take a deep breath, sometimes this gives off some weird twitter feeling here. While I agree with some comments regarding the schedule issue or videos not coming out when they were supposed to be, some people seem to forget that this here needs to be profitable for PD and the team in the first place so that they are able to keep doing this. If the spring tier costs them more money than what they make with it , then they should do adjustments to it, easy as that. Will they lose some patreons that can't afford to pay more? Most definitely. But they should focus on the customers that bring them the most revenue. Most content here is accessable through summer tier upwards anyways. Listening parties and early access to Kulture Studies should be the exception, if I'm correct. More often than not, in the way PD is doing their listening parties, it is on the longer end, usually between 30 and 90 minutes depending on the length of an album. It costs them more than they profit off of it, if they make it accessable for the lowest tier. On top of that, listening parties are not as easy to film as other long video types. You can't just turn off your head and relax like you do, when you're watching a drama or a variety show. If I'd be listening to every album release there is I'd be stressed out. Digesting new music isn't that easy. If you're not in the mood for it, you're not enjoying what you're listening to. I also read the livestream topic again somewhere, which isn't profitable either. During the 3-4 hours of the livestream, PD could just spend their time to film other stuff like Kulture Studies or content that is on the schedule for the month. We had that topic ages ago. It's just not worth the time. What should be the priority right now is finding a solution/alternative for the vimeo fiasco and adjusting the monetization system so that it is profitable. The more people they get on this patreon the more it'll cost them if the $/subscriber doesn't make up for the bandwidth that's being used. 20 people paying $20 is better than 200 people paying $2. If these 200 people can't afford to pay more money, then it can't be helped. Further adjustments can always be made in the future if it's looking better financially for PD and the team. I don't know if the vaulting thing is the right idea here, I saw some GOOD comments that make sense. However I strongly believe that this is just a random idea that's not fully thought trough. Newer subsribers shouldn't be punished for watching older stuff that was initally accessable for less money. Vaulting would make sense however, if it's really old stuff that not many people really watch anymore. Keeping old videos would just cost more if it takes up too much server capacity and free space while people are not watching it. The alternative is deleting old videos after a certain amount of time and I bet no one wants that. Rather than deleting it, making it more expensive after a specific period of time to make up for the storage that's being used, makes total sense. Who knows how expensive it is for PD to set up their own servers for uploads. Looking at the amount of content in addition to it's individual length, it's definitely far from being cheap. So what should be adjusted here is the time frame. 2 months of content are too short imo. I'd rather say something like 6months and longer, if anything. A note for the future though: Please upload the schedule for the upcoming month at the end of the current one. Yes you can always end your subscribtion and resubscribe when the schedule is being released, but it is very easy to just forget that. Personally it doesn't effect me because I'm not here for one specific group or show but some people are and it'd just be fair for all patreons to handle it that way.

Rudy de Swart

Well, it's their primary source of income afaik so I don't think that's going to happen.

Sarahvtae

(I know it's long...but PLS read) Okay, so...I'm gonna be completely blunt and forward with my opinions here, if you can't handle that, then you should probably reconsider this job. This channel is a SCAM. I've noticed it for a while now, but this post was my last straw. I'm going to go more into detail: 1) The new changes: Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. NO ONE has these problems except for y'all apparently...There's creators with more and better content AND less subscribers/income, but they have NO problems, or constant tier changes. So...what is REALLY the problem here? Why do you actually have that 30k debt? Cause i highly doubt, it is from Patreon. The amount of patreons you have + the amount of money you charge should be more than enough to cover these costs. The vaulting system is not going to work...and it was stupid to even THINK about it. You're expecting ppl to pay more for less content...and it's not even the content they want. Also...very much unfair towards longtime patreons, who've given you all their money...and now they can't even access all that content. 2) The Vimeo issue: Vimeo...they can be real a-holes sometimes, BUT your issues with them are starting to feel very much surreal and exaggerated. Another person has mentioned how this whole "locking/archiving videos" thing works...and it isn't a complicated procedure at all and it isn't unusual either. It's a known thing. So it very much seems like this is a YOU problem and not a Vimeo problem. And your lack of responsibility for these unavailable videos is insane, 3) Schedule Issues: This has always been an issue with you. And you're INCAPABLE of resolving it. You're always overpromising, when it comes to content...but you're very much not delivering it. The constant problems and excuses are getting tiring, I, myself have multiple mental health issues, but i still do my job. And the funny thing? Somehow these "situations" always happen, when there's any unsolved issues with your channel... I'm gonna get more into specific issues later. 4) Irresponsibility: This is your JOB PD!!! Your full-time job and you can't do it properly. There's creators who do this, while having another job, If you can't handle it, then don't do it. Stop doing Patreon and focus on yt. Get another job and do this as a hobby...that will probably be for the best. There is no justification for releasing the schedules for each month AFTER ppl have already paid for it. Schedules should always be posted before the month starts + they should be PUBLIC for everyone to see...and possibly even re-posted on yt. Same with updates like this...they should be public. And ppl should be informed about issues like the "unavailable videos" one...i'm seeing a lot of comments of ppl who didn't even know about it. Again...a scam. You're very unprofessional in multiple areas, but one thing i've recently notices...you overshare way too much about your personal issues. PD...a lot of your followers are young, a lot of them have mental health issues of their own and just want to enjoy the content. Sometimes you're getting very detailed and/or gory about your experiences...and NO ONE asked for that. I'm sorry if that sounds insensible, but it's actually you who is being insensible. You can not act like this. We're paying a lot of money to get content...and not to be your therapists. And atp it sounds manipulative. Every time we're bringing awareness to issues...you somehow start talking about your mental health and your experiences. And it very much seems like you're trying to manipulate us into feeling sorry for you. Which we would be...IF you could actually handle this channel. It's getting hard to be empathetic. 5) Youtube activity + kpop: Again...unacceptable. Are you even a kpop fan atp? You constantly ask about the things you've missed in your yt community posts...ppl are sending you whole lists of stuff you've missed. You claim, that you're going to watch all of it...but then you post NOTHING. We sometimes go weeks without any updates on yt. You've missed 100+ comebacks/debuts/releases THIS year alone...and don't even let me start on the time before that. You barely keep up with kpop and you never know what's going on. Let me remind you...kpop got you to where you are now, so get it together pls. Another thing...you are constantly starting new "projects", spending all your time on that...and then you just drop it after a few weeks (like that thing with Dezzy). I wouldn't be surprised, if you debt actually came from those type of things. And no one asked for those things. We want you to sort out your other issues first, before starting new stuff. 6) Lack of ACTUAL communication: I'm seeing a lot of "Thanks for communicating with us" comments on here...what communication exactly? You don't interact with any of the comments, you don't take our worries and ideas seriously...hell i would be surprised if you actually read any of these comments. You constantly ignore your patreons. You ignore the issues on YOUR channel and just sweep them all under the rug. All at the expense of us, our money and our patience. 7) Lack of organisation: Your Patreon is a MESS. From issues being ignored, links not working, videos being unavailable, Prices being completely unreasonable to even "small" issues like you forgetting to categorize videos correctly (and us therefore not being able to find them). And so much more. You should take a few months off or smth and fix everything. 8) Unwanted content: A lot of ppl have already mentioned it...you should choose your content more wisely. You're posting stuff that isn't well received by the majority of you patreons...meanwhile all our wishes are being ignored. Make it make sense??? Ppl are here for 2 reasons...Kpop and variety, or for dramas. Almost no one watches variety shows, that don't have idols in it, So why waste your energy and money on that, when you could post stuff, that ppl actually want to see? You barely give us kpop, you give us variety, but not the right shows (some of them), you give us kdramas, but way too much of that...to the point of completely neglecting kpop reactions. AND handle the vimeo problem before continuing to post more stuff...f.e. Alice in Borderland...the 1st season is unavailable, but you're already posting the 2nd season. I will also add a few of the good and EASY ideas, that ppl have mentioned in this thread, just to show y'all that the problem simply lies in the creators and not anything else. Cause a lot of y'all aren't even realizing how much of a scam this whole thing is...and that's sad. You guys have to stop idolizing random strangers, just because they react to kpop. (I'll do that tomorrow tho) Update: I won't do that anymore. This whole situation is making me so angry, to the point of not being able to write anything else. I already stopped my subscription and i'll probably never come back...i'm done being scammed. I wish y'all luck with trying to get through to these creators...but i doubt anything will change. I regret spending my money on here...Goodbye y'all.

I’ll have to agree with this comment section, I’m nowhere near agreeing on paying more money to get less content & more technical issues. If I have one advice to give to PD that’s do as much as you can handle. You don’t have time to film anime club + listening parties? Well don’t do both, but most importantly don’t promise both. People are paying real money on this. That’s it, happy new year y’all.

Jo

Hey pd, I’ve been here for a while and I even remember that u used to be able to watch suggested content in the community tab. I and a lot of others in the comments really think that u are overcommitting and should cut back on the load. It’s probably best for ur health also. I continued to support u even when there wasn’t content that I really looked forward to in the new month bc I was able to rewatch old. It must have been hard for u to come to this decision. I think u should really consider what everyone is suggesting and saying. It is disappointing that it’ll cost more and older content wont be available. I’m not sure if I will renew for next month or in a few. I think I’ll try to stick around to see how this all turns out. There are others that probably wont be able to do that bc they financially can’t afford it. So please consider them

Don't call me.

I have to say as a patreon for i think 2 years now reflecting back on past content, the reaction livestreams are a huge thing iam missing. They were always a lot of fun and just a different kind of content from pd that i really appreciated. He also got some mv filmings in while doing that, it wasnt just pure livestream. I have unsubbed sometime between these 2 years bc of inconsistency or content i wasn´t interested in. If only 2 videos will be uplouded for that month that iam actually interested in, then i will pause a month to save the money since i am summer tier wich is 9 $ but 11 € for me. Thats more than i am paying for netflix for exampel. i have never payed more for this minor amount of content i am actually watching. Content that interests me is only released on like 4 sometimes 2 days a month. (before it was more but i cannot afford to pay more for drama reactions😪)

Don't call me.

i still miss the livestreams even if i could always participate in them, the recations i wanted to see were mostly still requested so i din´t really have that of an issue with that. but more important was the kind of different atmosphare these streams had. they were more lighthearted, fun and community focused witch ia m missing with the channel now.

This was hard to read as I like PD as a person but yeah there were no lies here lol. Even though it's a scam atp I still feel bad for cancelling my subscription (which I shouldn't but oh well). I'll probably try to come back in Feb/Mar to see what's going on and for a few listening parties but it sucks to know that even though they're on the schedule they might've not even been posted at all and I gotta pay to find out xD

Letícia

About PD oversharing.. reading other comments made me realize it very much unconsciously leads us to "feeling closer" (in a way) to PD so when things are pushed back and promises aren't met we either feel bad to complain or feel guilty for feeling frustrated with the situation, when it was in our right the entire time to get said content Long story short, the oversharing leads to guilt tripping and even gaslighting in a way (even if it most likely wasn't on purpose on PD's part — I still think he's a good person)

Letícia

I'm sorry you both had to join right when everything went to shit :/

Miss Jacobie

Wow, the comments. Finally someone has to say something about this channel. I am one of those persons who subscribed this month, only to know that all of the contents I want is not available. I a YG stan, and although I think that there is a lack of YG content I still subscribed because I want to watch T-Map, The Mysterious Class, 24/365 by BP, Kingdom and iKon TV for iKon and all of these doesn't work lol. I've been trying to raise this issue to the channel but got no response from them. So yeah, if only you have been posting stuff/issues publicly this will not be escalated any further and we hope you can improve your communication as this patrons will be spending more money in the future. Good luck.

Ailsa998

To speak on a couple of comments I have read; I understand that some types of content are more profitable than others and that it’s not as easy as saying ‘oh we want this, you have to film this’. I also understand how having fewer high-paying Patreons would be more beneficial than having more Patreons paying less in terms of dealing with bandwidth costs. I think the issue that the majority of us are having here is that we are being expected to pay for uncertainty. It doesn’t matter what the content is, be it livestreams, variety, listening parties etc etc, it more often than not does not follow the schedule; it’s all over the place. What will actually come out this month? Who knows. The general organisation of the Patreon needs to be sorted out before selecting what content to produce AND THEN look at tier changes and pricing; we are unhappy about seemingly being asked to pay more for consistent unreliability. If we had a schedule, it was SUSTAINABLE, and we were consistently provided with what was being pitched to us, with transparency regarding any issues (and I’m perfectly fine with cutting people some slack when life gets in the way, I’m not saying it has to be perfectly regimented and without any fault) I’m sure those of us that are in a position to financially would happily pay more if it meant helping out with any additional costs of having a large audience accessing a lot of content. In this case, the money paid DOES match the service given. The key issue in all of this at present, and with these future suggested changes such as the vault and missing content, is that the money paid DOES NOT match the service given. I guess what I’m trying to say is that the service itself is so flawed that I think it’s bizarre to make changes that don’t address these flaws, which include asking people to pay more for what they access now. This isn’t a small community, this Patreon is generating A LOT of money, and there needs to be a more clear and manageable system in place, as well as more open channels of communication. I personally don’t understand how it’s become so unprofitable, maybe I just don’t know enough about all the costs involved but I view a lot of these update posts with a lot of skepticism as I’ve seen the same thing crop up over and over again. I don’t really think anyone is going overboard tbh, I think we are all just being honest. These issues have been prevalent for a long time now. I am understanding of any life problems and mental health issues that may arise to disrupt work. I’m sure we all understand this or we wouldn’t still be here trying to communicate our views and offer honest criticism in hopes that we can help create a better platform, even if some people have presented their criticisms quite bluntly. It’s just the same issues are arising again and again and there is this expectation that people will just deal with a sub-standard service because of personal circumstances. I’ve seen patterns occurring in behaviour and these comments have confirmed that I’m not the only one. I think the main thing is that our concerns are never met with much urgency if at all, you can suggest ways to improve communications and such but when has that ever been taken on board in the past? I don’t think anyone is ‘demanding’ anything unreasonable, I think what is unreasonable is charging such a large amount for monthly false promises.

Keiera Jones

I have to respectfully disagree with your initial statements. People are finally voicing their issues that they’ve held on to for months and months. So many times the unprofessional nature of this patreon have gone overlooked and been excused. Constant failure of posting, constant failure of meeting schedules, constant failure of communicating issues that need to be communicated to the people that are paying you. This isn’t getting too personal…it’s getting addressed by the masses, which is what you’re seeing and makes you feel like we’re getting too personal. As an “on and off” again supporter… every time I come back it’s the same old stuff and it’s exhausting when I have to read you guys always constantly supporting someone when you know that they’re handling things the wrong way and I feel like I’m the bad guy. And I guarantee you there are others that feel that way too. Heck I’ve read some here. Please stop babying this grown person. They need to run this Patreon in a more professional manner because we came here to support them because of the quality we know that they have, but once you get here it drops tremendously. And please understand I get that life happens… mental health happens but at the end of the day if it’s happening this frequently and this often it begins to become more of an excuse and they need to find a solution otherwise they are losing a lot of their trust from their people and we don’t want to spend money on somebody that will not deliver. I wish the best for them wholeheartedly but I’m over it.

Yogeeta

Hi PD! I understand that this must be a difficult decision to make and I have to say as a patron, I will be unable to move to the $10 rank. Why? Because you rarely make content for the group I care the most about. I was happy to continue paying the $2 on the off chance you did record content for them (and you have every once in a while which I'm always happy to see) but I can't afford $10 for the off chance anymore. I greatly enjoy you as a reactor and content creator, but for instance one of the reasons I supported you on Patreon was to have access to your boy group live streams, which you basically stopped doing. I hope you can be more consistent going forward with your planning and scheduling, so we can be more confident in our support of you. Would you maybe consider going to a $5 tier instead of straight to $10? That could probably be a more affordable option for most of us.

Sarahvtae

People are allowed to be blunt. This isn't okay...and it's not the subscribers' fault. Discord won't do anything and neither will a rep and yk why? Because they don't care what the community says. They don't even read these comments. You need to understand, that this isn't a normal environment. And you shouldn't call it a "safe space" either. It has always been a little bit of a passive aggressive community...ppl were just better at hiding it. Don't try to stay soft or positive, cause that is not needed in this situation. Ppl have given them YEARS to change. They have enough. And they're allowed to be straight forward...cause apparently "asking and informing nicely" doesn't work.

Letícia

Random side note but I think I've read everyone's rants like 2x now and most people made really great, valid points I really hope once the team is back next year they'll address this and take some time to reflect before applying drastic changes. The thing that sucks the most right now is knowing I won't even be able to see the outcome of this entire debate since I'm unsubbing Dec/2022.. and I won't know when the channel is stable again as an outsider so I basically have to take a shot in the dark and pay to find out if it's worth it coming back Any chance PD's response to this mess can be posted publicly instead of for the lowest tier? Probably won't happen but it'll really bother me to just up and leave my only Patreon pledge with a loose end like this, not knowing the outcome

angel

PD i enjoy your content so much and truly value your input on kpop comebacks and music videos, but you have to understand this is real people's money you are playing with here. I agree with the points people have made about it being a little shady that you post the schedule AFTER subscriptions renew and you don't address problems with ur patreon when promoting it on youtube which leads people into spending money on content they dont even have access to. Or when they are promised content in the schedule it might not even be uploaded that month or ever. i think cutting kdramas and animes might help lessen the work load... dont get me wrong, i know people do enjoy those videos.. but lets be honest, majority people coming from your youtube and subbing to your patreon expect to see a plethora of extra kpop content here. what im trying to say is less equals more.. listening parties take longer to film, but if you put them out consistently and on schedule, people will WANT to stay subscribed and be willing to pay more money knowing that they are guaranteed quality content every week. as someone who subbed to ur patreon to see more kpop videos, it gets a little frustrating seeing maybe 2 or 3 kpop videos uplaoded that week and then a bunch of episode reactions to dramas and animes. and the kpop videos that do get uploaded are for groups i dont even keep up with. now i know everyone is subbed here for different reasons, and everyone likes different groups, but cutting down on content that gets less likes and putting that energy into videos people are actually tuning in for will allow u to react to more groups, and satisfy more people weekly and monthly. this goes hand in hand with posting a schedule and keeping it on time... i think i may unsub after january and comeback in a while to see where things have gone. Try to take into account what other people are saying, really if you improve these things people would not be so hesitant to support you. We all subscribed at first for a reason after all... your quality reactions on youtube are what drew us in, and its disappointing to see that quality we love so much go down on the paid platform that's supposed to provide even higher quality content than what we were getting for free. I truly do hope you have a good camping trip and figure out how to properly care for yourself mentally and physically because once that happens, then you can put focus into improving your content which in turn equals happy patreons.

Thomas

Appreciate what you do but taking listening parties away from the starting tier is a bit of a shame. I have been hesitant to keep my subscription due to infrequent posting in the past, but knowing listening parties would eventually release is what kept me here. As an extremely casual supporter, I won't be renewing my susbription, but I hope you continue to find success in the new year.

I was a patron for a while before and came back just this month when I saw you'd dropped some content I was interested in and was even considering upgrading to a higher tier. The reason I left before was due to there only being one or two videos sometimes per month (sometimes at most) and I couldn't justify the cost anymore. I felt like it was taken as a given that we'd stay and the numbers of Patrons were, and remain, so high that losing some was something that was almost dealt with the equivalent of a shrug of shoulders because there'd be enough people coming in to offset any losses each month. When I first joined I was a quiet participant in the livestreams that fit with my time zone but they were great. So relaxed and fun and introducing me to new groups/artists as well. The cost of living crisis and price in energy/food has risen so much in my country that I have to consider each investment carefully particularly for Patreon though considering leaving again feels hard as I try to be loyal and when I read of your hardships, the empathetic side feels it harder too. That doesn't sit well with me when I take a step back though. I had hoped the intervening period may have changed things for the better regarding the running of this channel but its just that endless cycle unfortunately, though I hope if you or your team even read just some of the suggestions or collated them into a spreadsheet to develop and work with, it could really help you and this channel to thrive. I hope to be back one day again if things change long term and I do wish you the best for you and this channel, PD,

cherry m.

everyone here has already said anything i possibly could have, so i'll be brief. i remember saying, verbatim, under a different post that i am "out of chances to give" and yet here i am on something like my fourth separate subscription. i do this because i genuinely enjoy your content and every time i think that maybe, just MAYBE, they've pulled it together and every single time i am ripped off and trauma dumped on as an excuse. you HAVE to turn things around because this has gotten ridiculous a long time ago.

Rudy de Swart

@Wiktor, dishonest positivity won't do PD any good. Don't forget that this isn't some sort of side-project or hobby, it's their job. To be honest, if I were to run a project in this way I would be in deep shit with my employer, if not fired. For a lot of people this post was simply the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Mery Ordaz

I'll try to keep my comment short. Fix all the issues, then apply changes to the tier prices. Every time I renew my subscription I tell myself "they will figure it out this month", and I can't keep doing that, not even if I can afford it. Also, paying more for old content doesn't sound reasonable, specially for long time Patrons... I can't justify paying 10 more dollars for the same content that I'm receiving today and no guarranty of an increase in the quality. Finally, if you're gonna keep promoting your patreon on youtube, be honest about all these issues... you're literally scamming people. I really wish you take this seriously since this is your main job... we're all here because we want to support you and we enjoy your commentary, but we can't keep spending money on false promises and weekly excuses

Amity

Does anyone at PD&co read the comments under posts for updates?

samu

hi! i have a lot to say, but i'll refrain for now as a lot of other people have mentioned pretty much everything i think about this update. however, there's one thing i feel the need to say : PLEASE do a customer survey regarding this patreon asap. you really don't seem to be in touch with the way patrons consume your content and it will hurt you in the long run if you don't fix that.

samu

i completely agree with everything you said, honestly!!!!!

archie :D

hi pd I would say a lot more but most has already been repeated, but I just think that it would be better to adjust tiers and prices after the old videos had been sorted and if I’m going to be honest although I can acknowledge that you need to increase the prices, I don’t really agree with the vaulting old videos idea, as that’s a big part of why me and others enjoy your Patreon, because of the huge number of content you have, and I just don’t think it’s reasonable to have to pay double I am now for something I could already access. I also definetley think you need to inform people on YouTube who would want to subscribe, as they’ll be extremely disappointed if they paid to find out they can only get videos from the last 2 months Anyway, have a good camping trip pd! you deserve it , and hope you can respond to the comments and make some sort of change that will fit with more people, however i completed understand that you are in a tough situation

Oyku T.

A lot of people has great points in the comments, but one thing I really want to reiterate is that all these announcement/communication/schedule posts should be public as all old/current and most importantly *future* patreons have the right to see these, especially the schedules, I am an on and off subscriber as the conversion rate is ridiculous here and I do think that I have a right to see what I am signing up for, yes the schedule is posted on twitter days after patreon (sometimes it isn't at all though, ex; December :) ) but the pay day is always 1st Now say if you had 2k spring, 1.7k summer, 1.3k summer+ and 200 autumn tiers that would already generate almost 48k a month which I am pretty sure the actual numbers are higher, with patreon cutting their share that might be down to 45k I am sure you can find other alternatives than Vimeo for your budget

gen a *

Hey, if you don't mind, would you mind explaining the situation just a bit? From my understanding of it, one of the (many) main issues is that people would have to pay more for less content, some of that which may not even be good quality. Is there more to it than that? I don't understand the new scheduling and I want to get the full idea before I decide on whether or not to pay for January.

Sarahvtae

I'm sorry, but like i've mentioned in the last part of my comment...i'm not gonna keep talking about this. It's giving me major anger issues. Read the post + the comments...that should be enough context. If you're asking for my opinion...don't pay this channel anymore. They have to realize, that what they're doing is not okay. There's quite a few kpop reactors out there who are WAY better. They communicate with their subscribers, have better prices, more consistency and they actually pay attention to what the ppl want to see. This channel is not worth your money and patience.

Amity

Right? I saw a recent comment from PD responding under comments of a video, but I never see them responding to the comments under the updates or making another update to respond to those comments. The communication needs improvement.

Claire

Yeah I'm probably gonna stop being a patron here. I've been a summer tier patron for quite a while and i only watch the treasure content and some bts/nct and other groups content here and there. Like others said the schedule always come after the month has begun and we have been saying this for months that this is an issue for us.. Also the vaulting thing is kind of a shitty move, I like to re-watch older stuff and some stuff that I didn't get to watch like for example BTS in the soop. I wanted to earlier but the vimeo video's hasn't been working for a while. If you're gonna promote your patreon on your youtube videos maybe address the fact that the older videos are gonna be vaulted for only the higher tier.. Maybe I'm gonna be back in a few months but good luck I guess

Rudy de Swart

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. Like the commenter above me said, they never respond to comments on update posts.

Quick summary of what most people have complained about here: - We feel like we are being lied to or even scammed. Many other content creators do a way better job managing the same workflow and schedule while having less patreons (therefore less income) than PD has. - We don't want variety shows over MV reactions and listening parties. Dramas are fine (even animes to some degree) but there is probably too much of them. While it's nice seeing some other stuff on the side, most people are mainly here for MVs reactions and seeing how many were missed this year while we got so many episodes of 1 hour long reality show of some random group feels wrong, compared to what the audience is asking for. - Do not ever remove content from people. They have paid for that content and they won't like it if they can't access it for the same price they have always paid for it. - PD doesn't seem to look at the comments on their patreon, and since we are giving away our money, it feels wrong to be ignored. - People don't want to hear a creator constantly complaining all the time. It's been the same since I've started following in 2018. It's always excuses like mental issues, so of course we won't be rude. Mental issues suck, but if PD's work is so mentally straining, they should shut down the patreon and do something else. Yet they still charge all their patreons for undelivered promises and excuses. - The schedules and announcements are released after the monthly payment, which means it's asking for people to guess what they are paying for, which is quite questionable. I'll add my own complaints over that: - PD please, hire someone to set up your workflow and video hosting stuff for you (in a private cloud server or even on another platform). It'll cost you less in the long run. - I did read your other post saying you've slowed down your Youtube releases by picking the MVs you want to react to. Please do not do that, you are missing a lot of good stuff and it's really frustrating, plus you're gonna lose quite a bit of potential new patreons because of that. - It feels like you are trying to put out so much content (especially, long videos) that you don't even appreciate what you are looking at. I've been following you since 2018 and I've never seen you so clueless about the current kpop scene, as if you were getting out of touch with every single group or idol because you try to release too much stuff, like a robot.

hannah

same...in was here for the treasure and rakkidol content but looking at it know with the tmap eps not working i dont think its worth it anymore

Claire

I know right. Are you a recent patron, that you havent watched all the tmap episodes yet? Since tmap ended we requested multiple times that there was a bonus episode and the latest one but nothing happend. It's a pity really

Eman Khan

I'm just here to say please just relax and pace yourself. You're doing great :) The thing that matters the most is creating a healthy balance between workload and life, as well as just being happy. :)

emchant22

It's the new year here in Australia PD, so Happy 2023!! This whole comment section feels like a massive dogpile to me, and even though patrons are valid for commenting their thoughts, it's getting a little overwhelming to read the continuous gangup in some comments... I hope you and Blaire can take some time to be with your friends and family and bring in your New Year with joy!

Sythini

That's what you get when it feels PD isn't taking our concerns seriously.. it's about time people spoke up

Réka O.

As a longtime patron, I agree with a lot of the reasonable criticism, but some later comments are outright mean. I'm not saying people are not right in what they are saying or that they don't have the right to be upset or unsatisfied, but don't forget that you're talking to another human being who's trying their best. I'm sure PD got the message and they'll respond in a few days so there is no need to write a 200th comment saying you basically hate it here.

cherry m.

not a single comment was mean. some were harsh, but you can't expect other longtime patrons to have endless patience about this at this point. i'm sure everyone here has sympathy for pd and the unfortunate situation they have once again found themselves in. it's just that it is CONSTANT, time and time again the same thing keeps happening, for four years now. and where people's money is concerned - enough is enough.

Claire

If they gonna respond most of us are no longer patrons anymore (for various reasons). I don't expect that the response is gonna be public but for patrons only but I'm curious what they are gonna say about all of this..

希文 王

To PD, another suggestion I would like to add: keep a list of MVs that you're not going to put out a video for on your youtube channel(since you know Umu from Reactothek personally, I'll say like her google doc, for example). I know you've said you've been getting more choosy with what MVs you react to, and before that you've said that you don't want to put out reactions/reviews where it feels like you have nothing good to say and I get that. But often times we don't know if you not reacting to this or that groups'/soloists' MVs is because you simply missed it, or you watched it and didn't like it/ didn't think that putting out a reaction would be a good idea, and obviously people will come and say "you must hate so and so because you never react to their MVs/you hate their MVs", but that happens even now regardless, so putting out a list will at least reduce the comments that ask for reactions that you'll never put out.

Dan

So when are the old videos, which got blocked are going to work🥲 Could u please check and update us..? I heard u already paid for vimeo, so what is happening now..?

hannah

i joined around last year or smth and watched all the tmap eps but since we don't often get treasure content i just wanted to rewatch them:/ and yeah i was waiting for the special ep and the documentary series after tmap but i don't think it's happening....

babymetalic

i just joined the autumn tier because i wanted to watch alice in borderland and it's unavailable. i hope it's available by the end of this month at least.

ben green

Are there any updates on when old content will be made available? The lack of clarity and communication with your audience is disheartening. We understand the struggles and complications both work wise and mentally, but please communicate these issues to people before they pay the $17+. It's expensive for a subscription, let alone one that doesn't make available a HUGE portion (above 90%) of content. Consider finding someone private to host your content, because at the minute this subscription is more of a scam than anything. I love your work and adore your critiques and thoughts, I rarely spend money on entertainment as I'm not the most stable financially (most people here aren't, I've noticed), and coming here to support you and your content and seeing your audience and their feelings and own circumstances being dismissed is upsetting and just ignorant from a business and moral perspective.

emotionless bot

As someone who's here SOLELY for the variety shows and drama content, i rarely have complaints. I am not here for Idol content. But I guess there's others too. One critique I have would indeed be the late posting of monthly schedule but....... to be fair for the both of you, it's easy to just unsubscribed to the Patreon BEFORE the month ends and just wait for the new schedule before subscribing again that's why I rarely brought it up now. ALSO the scam allegations here are getting out of hand. I just hope both of you are fine and please from now on just refrain from saying promises.

Letícia

Welp, forgot to cancel so hey I guess xD

thatsthename

Hello PD! I have been a patreon for about 2 years now! It was (still is) on and off because I struggle a lot financially and can’t afford to subscribe every month (summer tier 10$) I subscribed again today because I wanted to rewatch some of your older stuff of my favorite group and catch up on contents i missed the past few months, I’m a bit disappointed to see that won’t be possible anymore. I think the vaulting thing should be thought out more? maybe given a second thought.. I know running an entreprise is not as easy as it seems, but this is just a new problem among many already existing others, I can’t help but feel like I payed for nothing and it’s making sad. at least please let people OUT of patreons know about this as well so they don’t end up subscribing for contents that isn’t available anymore. I still want to support you so I hope a solution is found soon! obviously you can’t please everyone but if there are alternatives maybe you should consider them, please ? hate to sound like I’m begging but this is unfortunate 😔 And with the prices increasing too.. I don’t think we should pay more for less content

Letícia

This is such an important ideia, I never know whether they hated something or will simply never react to it 😭

Rudy de Swart

They kinda brought this on themselves. A lot of the complaints (about the schedule for example) aren't new. I think that for many people this was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Rudy de Swart

Was planning on cancelling but totally forgot. Anyways, it will be interesting to see how this drama plays out. Some takeaways are: 1. Be more forthcoming about the schedule (schedule absolutely must be posted before subs renew). 2. Better communication in general 3. Focus on quality over quantity (maybe dial back on the drama reactions?). 4. Some people commented on possible oversharing of personal issues. It doesn’t really bother me but perhaps it’s something to think about. I wish you all the best for 2023.

Jubachho

First of all, other patreons have said this already but this post should be public, especially for longtime on-and-off patreons like me who won't know of these changes until they resubscribe. Second of all, I'm a student and struggle financially to support you every month and the rise of prices has begun to take a toll so lately I can only subscribe every two/three months so the vault thing is an extreme turn-off. At this point for me the content you give us doesn't make up for all the problems that have been happening for quite some time now (delayed schedules and content, prices rising, changes to the content each tier gives you, etc.). At the end of the day I really enjoy your content but it saddens me to say that this will probably be the last month I subscribe to you. We'll see how it goes and if things improve I may reconsider it but it's been months so I'm not too hopeful. On another note, I hope you enjoy your trip, pd, you really deserve it!

ilays

People can have criticisms and frustrations about the content and schedules but like the way so many of you are saying to cut back on dramas/animes and to stop oversharing is so out of left-field. Like you might not be here for the variety/drama/anime content but there are many people who are and when you're subscribing to the patreon you can see the ratios of the content. Also telling someone who's just struggling with their personal life that they're "oversharing" is weird because I always liked that PD was transparent and relates their own experiences to the content they watch. They've always been transparent and related their personal struggles and just moments to the content they watch even on Youtube. I feel like instead of complaining about the schedule/structure of the patreon, some of you are kind of dog-piling every single thing that bugs you as if you aren't talking to an actual person... Also saying "quality over quantity" is strange to me because I consume a lot of content on here and I never felt that the quality of content is lacking. Like the phrase implies that the quality of the content is being sacrificed to release more things, but it's always been good here. Almost every single reaction I've seen here, have what I came here for which is to see people enjoying the content I like to enjoy, in depth. Most of the time when I feel like reactors focus on quantity over quality, is when they watch things without even enjoying it or talking just to put things out to get money; which I never felt here.

ilays

Yes I can, it's "Pie". If you look at the header of the patreon above PD's profile photo it's on there. I struggled to find it first too; also I love Killua enjoy the HXH content!

Claire B

Hey pd&co ! Despite everything i hope youre having greatd holidays ! I have been a summer tier patron for almost 2 years now, it was because i wanted to rewatch iland with you. Some months i watched your content everydays and some months really rarely but i never stopped paying bc i knew i was supporting you. I Considered it recently bc money is quite thight but i have a lot of transport time everyday so i could still justify the cost. But with these changes i dont think i can. When i watch content i dont usually go to the most recent stuff, for exemple i starter watching enoclock recently and many of these reactions were released a long time ago so it will be directly impacted with these changes. I have a lot more exemples like this and if this vaulting thing go through i will probably stop being a patron. I also think this décision will impact on and off patrons a lot bc some shows take more than 2 months to react to so you'll have to pay a lot still. Tldr, please reconsider this vaulting decision, the quantity of content is really an asset of your Channel but many people cant justify paying double to have access to it.

Letícia

Most people are referring to "oversharing" as when PD constantly uses his personal struggles as an excuse to delaying content, not when PD does it during a video reaction I'm pretty sure

Letícia

Not sure if anyone is keeping tabs or even cares but I decided to jot down how many patrons PD had before the year switched and Dec 30 — 7102 Jan 2 — 5002 That's roughly 2100 patrons gone

Rudy de Swart

Looking at the stats they have a loss of around 1600-2000 subs every month. And they always seem to regain subs pretty quickly. Would be interesting to see if that happens this month.

Letícia

Ohh that's a regular drop..? I have no idea where those stats are but I'm guessing they're from people who only sub for a month and manually renew then? Makes a lot more sense now

Letícia

It's so strange that there's around 2k people each month who manually cancel when they pledge and then manually come back each time, sounds exhausting

Wiktor

@letícia , how is that a problem may I ask? Are humans NOT allowed to have personal struggles? Is PD simply not allowed to have them? Realistically personal struggles are the biggest effect on work. We have been lucky PD, has opened up to tell us. PD has made a safe space of people like myself who also goes through similar struggles. To have someone you look up to, have similar issues and for then to even BE TRANSPARENT, open and honest about them. Is such a huge thing for myself. It makes me feel not alone. So frankly this goes out to yourself or ANYONE who feels like “personal issues” are an “excuse”… you aren’t just throwing your frustration at PD, but you are also hurting the feelings of other patreons while your at it. Many people have similar struggles as PD. Many who do not. Won’t. Sadly, a lot of this comment section has gone overboard and is starting to lash out and offend not only PD but other patreons.

Wiktor

Strongly agree. A lot of unhappy patreons by THEIR OWN choices will probably resub again. No one is forcing them. Hopefully PD & Blaire rest up and have a better 2023!

Tesa

I agree! There is no downgrade in quality and I personally don't feel like there is too much content either. The only thing PD didn't deliver this month were a few award show reactions which literally came out at the end of the year and it's impossible to pre-film like the rest of the content. Why are people so pressed about it I don't know lol

Rudy de Swart

It is strange. You would think auto-renew is easier. Must be a normal patreon thing tho because you see the same thing happening at other creators.

ilays

I prefer knowing what’s going on, than being in the dark with inconsistencies. If someone is struggling and can’t get something done it’s not an “excuse” especially if they give you a reasoning. I have depression and sometimes it’s very hard to do the things I have scheduled or plan to do whether it’s due to circumstances or my mental health, but keeping the people you’re letting down in the loop is always the better choice. If they didn’t share those things, then I guarantee people would be complaining about not knowing what’s going on or being kept in the dark. Personal struggles is not an “excuse” to cop out of things, it’s a valid/legitimate reason for why people can’t do certain things which can’t be helped.

Rudy de Swart

I don't think PD is using his mental health/struggles as an excuse. Nor do I think they're running a scam like some have suggested. What we should not forget though is that this is not free content. A lot of people are paying them a lot of money to do this. So I think patrons are perfectly entitled to voice their complaints. Sure, all that are unhappy could say nothing and just unsubscribe but how does that help PD? I understand that to some this comment section may seem like dogpiling but remember that a lot of complaints are not new. Issues with the schedule and the overpromising and underdelivering have been brought up in the past. Also the whole Vimeo mess, while totally NOT PD’s fault, could have been handled better. It should have been mentioned on Youtube as a heads-up/warning for potential patrons.

Mariam

New Patreon here, I would have appreciated if such announcement was made public so that I know what I am getting myself into, I’m glad though I’m subscribed to the 2$ tier as I only really care for listening parties. But I did consider doing an annual subscription. Now I’m glad I didn’t, as now I know the changes to be made to this tier, I can’t even imagine if someone did do that though. Ngl you could have easily copy pasted this post on YouTube community as a disclaimer for your new patrons or made that public, but you didn’t and that doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t even know what to say, I feel horrible for you bec I can’t even imagine the situation you are in! you will lose that’s definite, it’s a matter of who you are willing to keep, the few people that pays more? or the more people that pay less? Will you choose to keep the audience of the core of your brand aka listening parties and kpop? or maybe you drifted apart from this and you enjoy the kdrama/anime and these stuff so you will prioritize their audience? It’s a tough choice and I wish you the best with whatever you choose! Please prioritize your health regardless! I advice you to just decrease the load of videos you post, I skimmed through your past schedules and it’s INSANE, not surprised to see delays and stuff, after all what you aim for is humanly impossible so please just lower your load and stay healthy :)

fmsrivera

I guess it's not worth it to pay 10$ anymore bec of this vaulting thing. Truly hope you'll find a different way to make this work and to actually publicly announce something, so that people do not need to pay for them to know. For now, i'll be cancelling my subscription.

jordan

at the time of subscribing at first i wanted to do the summer tier just to see what the content was like and you've honestly met all my standards + exceeded them and i knew i was thinking about upgrading at some point and this just solidified my reasoning LMAOO.. autumn here i come i guess. its worth it for me rn but im sad to say for others its different :(

Mic ☆

I joined at Support level only yesterday and went with annual, in part because I thought front-loading 12 months of payments would be more efficient. In watching your Red Velvet 🧁 listening party of the mini album, I really liked ♡ it and feel my generous outlay has been richly rewarded already with good content. I did want to suggest maybe you could 'Grandfather' (or Grandparent) those who are long or multi-year supporters at the old rate for the foreseeable future as a good will and loyalty reward? You know, give long-term people Autumn for a discounted rate somehow?

Krissywithk

I genuinely do not know how any of this bandwidth stuff works and how much it costs you and your team to keep older videos up and sustain the Patreon but as someone who has severe financial issues i can barely afford the summer tier (which i only subscribe to to rewatch older reactions to variety stuff of my favorite groups, listening parties and kingdom and the occasional new reaction to my groups) and already am stuck with being an on and off sub. So now changing what each tier entails, splitting up the content i am interested in and putting half of that into a more expensive tier while at the same time vaulting older videos and adding all the problems with vimeo making over half of the content i am interested in unavailable makes it near impossible for me to keep subscribing. I really like and respect you as a human being PD and i can't imagine how stressful everything must be but i see how other people on here feel similarly. At the very least reconsider the vaulting thing and please get control over the unavailable videos and get them put back. That's one of the few main reasons most of the commenters have a problem with that i agree with. (personally i understand the frustration over late schedule releases but i doesn't bother me too much as long as these schedules are made public so you know what you get before you subscribe) Aside from everything else i do wish you a very happy new year and don't let yourself be put down too much by the harsh words some people have shared on here.

Rudy de Swart

I can tell you bandwidth can get really expensive. There are creators with less patrons and the same amount of videos who can make it work though. I'm not PD's accountant ofc, so I don't know.

Krissywithk

Quick question because chances are you might know this, if not ignore me haha, but do you maybe have an idea if its possible making unavailable vimeo links available again? Because i fear all these old videos many want to watch or rewatch will just get lost or will take an eternity to be reuploaded so PD can host them themselves. I assume PD would have to pay vimeo for that to happen but it seems that this option is off the table...

Daniela Padilla

a lot of us are here for variety show content of groups (example:channel_9 or going seventeen) more than listening parties or mvs. So i don't think you can say what type of content is more important just fyi.

randomAlienVisitor

well considering this update and all of the other issues are hidden behind a paywall, i'm sure that unsuspecting people will end up subscribing and make up some of what was lost.

Melanie Williams

For me I only cancel if I don’t have money for the auto pay in time and as soon as my paycheck hits I join again. I do try my best to make sure I have the funds for it. But I think I might just pay for the year and be done with it.

Rudy de Swart

AFAIK PD has paid Vimeo to 'unlock' the account. But that was 3 weeks ago or something. Also, I have no idea what Vimeo's reasoning for locking the account was. If PD has the original videos they could always reupload them of course.

Rudy de Swart

Looked into this a bit further and the end-of-month drop is called The Dip by Patreon and happens to practically every creator. One of the main reasons seems to be payment methods being declined.

Letícia

Ooh.. that makes a lot more sense than so many people manually cancelling at the very end of the month before it turns hahah

Meruka Hinaru

Exactly, and this was why I liked livestreams, because we could at least request realtime and sometimes smaller groups got chosen. But since livestreams are not a thing anymore, I have basically given up on seeing the groups that I like here (which is fair, a reactor can react to groups/MVs they are interested in) so I really stick around for the drama/anime/variety content

Rudy de Swart

Yep. And they're already back at 5394 subs. And all the while ignoring last weeks comments 😄

Jade

At this point just leave If you're going to act like this. How long do you think it takes to set up a domain and reupload ALL those videos

Jade

The people they lose probably don't even make up they amount that they have to pay to Vimeo so it makes sense

Jade

What's wrong with only checking out groups that are popular. they like?

Jade

Why cut down on drama's and anime club when that is what they higher tiers are paying for? How does that make any sense, the people that pay me the most should get the least??

km

As a long time (maybe 3 years) subscriber I think airing my grievances is allowed. I currently pay $20 a month to consume maybe 2/4 of the content put out. It’s something I’m willing to do because I love the content I do come for. That being said, I can’t say I haven’t noticed a change over the past few years. I’m sure most of it is due to the channel growing and due to that becoming a bit less personal, but it’s difficult for those of us who have been here for so long. The issue of videos being unavailable has been sort of the last straw for me. I 100% rewatch content on here more than I watch current uploads. I’m usually here for specific groups as well as drama club. Most of my time on here was spent rewatching drama clubs from the past. It’s understandable that there was nothing that could be done with Vimeo but it’s disheartening to see the lack of updates. Many people had to pay for this month without an update about all the missing content. Even if there’s little that can be done a simple update saying there’s no update is better than nothing. PD- all I can say is I hope you wholeheartedly take the complaints seriously. I know as a business owner you must make choices that not every will be happy with, but please also consider those of us who have been here with you for so long.

Jade

So just because you don't like them they should stop doing them? lol. Also that is what the higher tiers literally pay for so without that they don't even have anything

I also know that things happen in life but the lack of consistency and communication is also somewhat worrisome for me. Life happens, I get that, but sometimes it feels like there’s big changes to the channel every month

Also a bit unrelated but I miss livestreams :/

Jade

There are definitely rude comments in here what are you talking about

I mean.. still not 7k (yet). Hopefully it stabilizes at around 6k so they learn to take our concerns seriously :/

i joined a few days ago specifically to watch some older content that is now unavailable. when will older videos be back? if they can't be watched it should be told to customers before they pay imo

elisa

i honestly feel scammed right now because i paid for content that i can't watch. you need to put these update posts public so people can know before they spend their own hard-earned money

I joined yesterday drama club wanting to watch the penthouse but it’s not available and the PD doesn’t explain or respond to any messages so I feel like I paid soo much money for nothing cause everything I wanted to watch is not working and it’s not we can get our money back. Wish they had put this public so I knew before I purchased

I've never commented on Patreon but i kinda feel justified as other people have the same concern as me. I have an injury rn so i can't work for a week or so. I discovered your youtube channel and i binge watched for hours upon hours because i really really vibe with your personality and input and you're the first reactor i happened to stumble upon who has been following my fav groups for years and is not doing it just because they now got popular. I can't imagine what being in 30.000 dollars dept is like and i know you've been struggling with bandwidth for a long time. That being said, i can barely afford one month of the 10$ tier (13,5 euros for me because i'm from Greece) and i thought now that i'll be in bed for days it's a great opportunity to watch road to kingdom, kingdom and i-land with you. I went to check for puplic updates becuase i know patreon has many flaws but there weren't any. Most of the videos for road to kingdom are not available. If i knew this i wouldn't had subscribed. I can't judge if the changes you're making are worth it or not but i'd like to kindly ask for the updates to be public, it's a small step that could save some people like me money they don't have to spend. Hope you're doing well and i'll still support you if i can
