Iconic. And yasssss! That's what Atiny have been saying about hongjoong!! He can do sexy so well and hes so fluid but he never does sexy and it's so sad because he is so good at it without even trying 😭😭

side note... seonghwa killed the utopia live performance to the point I had to get a tattoo of the word utopia just to remember how I felt hearing him sing live.... literally... loved the reaction and commentary!

Hongjoong packs major cake. Like, 3-teir wedding cake.

No bc you’re so right about Jongho and I could rant for days about how he is easily the best vocalist in Kpop right now!!! All main vocalists in Kpop are naturally good singers, but what separates Jongho is that he has never settled for being naturally talented and instead actively works to improve every comeback. As a musician myself, I can tell when vocalists since with good technique, and Jongho (and Wendy) has the best technique I’ve basically ever heard in the genre. He truly treats his voice like an instrument! This translates in so many ways, but particularly in how he works and his performance choices. He knows the limits of what he can and can’t sing healthily consistently and takes that into account when he performs live. He does actually lipsync occasionally (you can tell by his facial expressions and by listening). But he only ever does it for intense choreo that cannot be substituted by him standing there (like in the live stages for Halazia), or for his most extreme notes on tour because he knows that if he were to sing those every night for weeks at a time (and do other things in between bc of how packed ATEEZ’s schedule is) that he would damage his voice in the long run by overusing and pushing it. It’s why you don’t see opera’s being performed every single night and instead only a few nights a week as to let the vocalists rest. A lot of people see any singular moment of lipsyncing as a drag, which I don’t agree with as the human voice just has certain limitations, but particularly with Jongho, him lipsyncing is not a sign that he cannot actually sing but instead conversely that he CAN sing and does so with consciously flawless technique bc he lipsyncs to save his voice. ATEEZ’s discography doesn’t do a great job of showcasing this, but he also has such incredible versatility! His covers and OST’s show this off bc he gets to show his lower range and his softer tone, which is executed just as flawlessly as the belting he showcases in ATEEZ songs. I could listen to his Here I Am Again cover over and over and never get tired of it. Ugh I just will never not be in awe every time Jongho sings!!

For me Seventeen's DK is the best vocalist, maybe after EXO's Chen and Baekhyun. This is of course in my uneducated opinion, but I just think that they have shown both great range and technique. I have not heard all of Ateez' discography, but in most of what I have heard Jongho sounds pretty much the same (this is not a critique), but I do agree that he is a great vocalist and very stable. This is of course just my opinion

Cyberpunk became so iconic amongst ATINY that they had to start performing it. I’m not sure if your checked out Paradigm yet. It’s sexy too. And Yunho shines in it! Such good editing/camera work. ATEEZ has really leveled up!

Someone else who notices hongjoong's body type!! Also like someone else already pointed out (and linked) there was a rap line subunit for mbc gayo/music core where they performed 'As I Told You', I just wanted to point out the camera work is a bit different in each stage. If you want more wide shots I'd watch the mbc gayo stage and if you want more close ups I'd watch the music core stage or both bc there is a noticeable difference.

I don't think anyone linked it but aside from the awesome music show stages their radio appearance showed how good their live vocals are: https://youtu.be/Lm4H1ZALEJ8 also can't wait for you to get to the KBS Gayo dance practice for Halazia bc Jongho really impressed me!

Seeing Ateez live is truly a whole new experience. Also, Jongho has said that he doesn't warm up for the concerts fully, he uses New World as a warm up and i just 😮😮😮😮 !!! Also, I really feel like when a member of Ateez is missing, you can feel it. I know i really felt it when Mingi wasn't dancing with them and we only had Hongjoong rapping I honestly feel like I could commit to following an Ateez tour and seeing every one of their concerts and be just blown away every single time. I mean, I saw both days of the Newark shows this past tour and fuck I'd do even more!!!!

aNNa

um love you but how dare you question if Hongjoong has an ass. It's the 9th member

I think its really important to mention femininity when in comes to sexiness. Masculine in art is usually associated with straight lines and stiffness and feminine with curve lines, voluptuousness and sensuality. I think Taemin being a sex symbol has a lot to do with his androgyny. The epitome of it is his masterpiece MOVE. That said, not only the perfect mix of feminine and masculine is very attractive as in Taemin case, but the clash of it is highly mesmerizing as well. Yeosang has an extremely masculine figure that could be seen as "stiff" but his dance moves, fluid, rounded and sensual are an expression of feminity. A masculine figure mimicing feminine creates a contrast that is massively appealing to the viewer. For example, Tom Ford dressed women with suits and straight lines during the 90s for Gucci. That contrast enhances the woman's body and their curves but also gives a strong and powerful image, femininity enhanced by masculinity. A woman in a suit IS SEXY. On the other side, San, has a masculine body but his moves are also masculine, with strong impacts and straight lines. San is a powerful dancer, but given he's the member with most elasticity in the group, his fluidity could improve significantly. BTS Jungkook took femenine dance classes before debut for example and I think all boy groups should do it too in order to rise their performance skills to another level.
