It's really a SHAME Junwon couldn't perform for the Something stage. It's evident even without seeing the full practice with him in it that his presence contributed a lot to the balance of the overall team. It also amazes me how much Jo improved from &audition to debut. &team as a team became crazily united on all fronts just from the end of the show to Under the Skin (synchronization, emotion, etc.), but Jo especially improved so much in facial expressions and other areas. Especially since the concept of Under the Skin seemed to fit him so much, I'm happy that he was able to figure out how to channel his emotions into songs.

I completely agree with your conspiracy theory. Let me add to it - I've always felt that TXT was the spiritual, visual successor to TVXQ, which is even more interesting given recent events.

I'm still in the middle of your watch, but I just wanted to say I always love hearing your critiques. I feel like I tend to have had similar thoughts in my watch. Like I knew something felt off but I couldn't figure out why and I feel like you always tend to point that out. I just wish we had more footage of all of them working and training together. I know it's not i-land and doesn't have the same backing but the lack of extra footage is what made it hard for me to really determine who to vote for. However, overall I think &team turned out great and their mini album is good and I can't wait to see what else they will do.

May I know... is it known, why did Hybe (at that time Big Hit Japan, if I remember correct), choose those 4 (or actually 5) eliminated contestants from I-land? I didn't watch I-land and I assumed they were the finalist, but I checked it and actually some of them were eliminated even before the final round, so that's why I am curious, if they auditioned again and Big Hit decided to cast them but for Big Hit Japan or if Bang Si Hyuk planned this the whole time and got them eliminated to keep them for this group in the future? Because their concept around werewolves seems to be connected with Enhypen, if I get it right and in general I feel like Hybe wants these two groups to interact between each other.

The guys were either trainees under BigHit and under Belift, it even included 8TURN’s Kyungmin as part of the lineup. If I’m not mistaken, Bang PD selected them for a future project after I-Land was over. Even seemed to have somewhat hinted it when K was eliminated from the show. My Thoughts: They had already gained a fanbase and they were too good to lose them so having in mind to expand to Japan, why not take two very popular Japanese members, two koreans that won many hearts and a Tawainese guy with a lot of potential and train the hell out of them. And having &Audition be somewhat active on social media and building up hype for their debut, they have another contest to find the rest of the lineup. Bang PD probably had a vision already of the group he wanted for HYBE Japan and here they are!
