The first 20min of my reaction is cut out because we realized we were filming our faces but our screen capture wasn't working properly.

Luckily my footage is still saved and the performances didn't start until this episode, but I will have the first 20min re-edited fixed tomorrow!

But get ready for one of the most hype reactions of my life. My god this show is going to be insane.

Fun Fact : Lip J and Sung Hanbin actually know each other very well. Hanbin has trained under LipJ in Wacking for a while. They have a lot of photos together. A very cute - Teacher / Student support between them. - Kinda wished they both said on the show that they are acquainted. But it was very cool of LipJ to help give Hanbin (Her Student) some spotlight.

If you're curious about the dance masters, you should check out Street Woman Fighter and Street Man Fighter!!! All 3 of them participated there as contestants. Those shows put a big spotlight on the dance scene in Korea.

i totally agree if kim gyuvin didn’t speak up and asked for another chance to show himself i feel like he wouldn’t have been noticed and had gotten all star, glad he spoke up. honestly wished more trainees would do that

Couple things! - Jay is from New Jersey actually! He’s not Korean at all, he’s 1/4 Filo and 1/4 Chinese. - My top picks right now are Seok Matthew, Haruto, and Woonggi (yes that Woonggi if you’re familiar with TO1/TOO) - Na Kamden’s rapping part in Rush Hour was actually way longer but Mnet cut most of it from the aired performance. The full version is on YouTube if you want to check it out - imo Kamden was even better than Jay and I’m still miffed Mnet completely cut his part 💀

Seriously if hanbin and Matthew don’t debut together I’m legit going to cry 😭🤣 also I’ve always liked Zhang hao (violin guy) but after episode 3 he definitely climbed up very high for me! So excited to watch this again with you

gunwook is INSANE. he's rocketed up to be my 1pick in recent episodes! the kid is just pure, raw potential that needs a bit more refining. also sung hanbin? you'll see it as you catch up but it's pretty universally accepted that he's the most center center to ever be in the produce series. he polls top 9 for korea, china, japan, and general international.

I am CRACKING UP at yalls commentary... THANK YOU both for reacting to this. Honestly, the blue shirt My House guy (Do Ha) I think has some potential with more training. I'm rooting for him in hopes that he can stay on the show at least for a bit longer to (hopefully) show some progress. Also love the previous Loud guys!

just in case you haven't watched the next ep yet they unfortunately don't show yedam's performace so i recommend you see it on youtube since he deservedly got all stars. mnet is really annoying me with the blatant screen time bias, it's just their way of manipulating votes legally smh.

I see your point of your words “this show has swag”, but I feel like Mnet told them to put this clothes on, to look like this. For example with Yedam. Sure, he looks super cool with that jacket, but in LOUD he wore for the first round what he wanted, to show himself and his true (and also hip hop swaggy) style. The same goes with Haruto from LOUD as well. He is a contemporary dancer, so he went to LOUD with his style to match his charm and what he likes. And again, here he looks nice, but I don’t know how to feel about it… Also when I saw the performance video for the “all contestants song”, I wasn’t sure if Yedam is actually there, because he looked different and not in the way that he would aged or something, it was more like the uniqueness of his somehow was covered by the Boys Planet “filter”

So happy that Dezzy is here reacting too, it’s always a good time with the both of you together. I’m rooting for Na Kamden, his part in Rush Hour was severely edited! You must check it out especially since this show is in need of good rappers. I’m also rooting for Park Gun Wook, both of them were on Wild Idol. Also that 07 liner Han Yu Jin is insane!

Please support Park Gunwook, the all rounder! He was in a previous survival show called Wild Idol and he also killed it there. He really improved since then. His confidence too🔥

PD, because you're never aware of it during these survival shows(and ngl, you wouldn't watch it anyways) - the initial voting almost always happens before the first episode is broadcasted. They released all the contestants intro videos (usually a minute or so of them showing their personality, talents, etc) weeks before airing so people start deciding who they like before the show even airs. So the initial rank is based on those intro videos, plus whatever past content fans can find on contestants (obviously previously debuted idols or trainees from other survival shows have an advantage there)

Hui is such a class act. I only got into K-pop last year so I wasn't too familiar with Pentagon members but Hui just won my heart with his vulnerability and humility!

he does have a lot of solo charm, but if his dream is to do "kpop", his best shot is to be in a group... since he isn't korean at all, sadly I feel like he wouldn't do well as a solo singer (there arent really any "foreigner" soloists..)

I feel like gunwook pick it up that way of talking from wild idol which is the survival show he was on before because the show gave kinda of a military extreme training idol vibe

im a vocal stan and i have a lot of thoughts on vocals in kpop, but i try to cut the trainees slack for these intro stages bc according to a gp999 contestant (i cant remember her name, but she was popular, from china, the "we go up but you don't" girl)apparently, they don't even choose them themselves, its the show producers that assign the songs, so for some, the songs might be out of range or above their skill level.

It's so funny when you mentionned the military service during Gunwook part, WILD IDOL (the survival he was in before) actually had this vibe and this is also where he learned about confidence, the fact that you need some confidence, if you watch him in WI and now in BP, you can see that this show really helped him in this way. [ TAN is the final group from WILD IDOL by the way]. In BOYS PLANET, you have a lot of debuted idols : Some members of NINE.i (Winnie, Seowon, Jiho) , UP10TION (Hwanhee/Dongyeol), Woonggi and Sungmin (ex - TO1), Hui, Seunghwan (1THE9). Otherwise, some globals trainees were in YOUTH WITH YOU or CHUANG. Jay, Seunghwan and Wumuti were also in UNDER19 together (survival who made 1THE9), Jay got eliminated really fast meanwhile Seunghwan debuted and Wumuti had to leave the show for personal reason but he was really high (right now he is really low in BP, a crime, he is my first pick, he is quite the all-rounder, he was rapping during SUPER IDOL, in UNDER19 he was in the performance team but surprised everyone with his vocal for MIROTIC performance, he have a lot of good covers and seem like you saw EP 3, so he is G-GROUP center for LMR) Na Kadem rap got cut off yeah and that's a shame, it actually got me annoyed a bit especially knowing he made it himself and it was good. The biased editing is one thing I personnally don't like here (also the K VS G-Group storyline that I find not neccessary ), it's too oblivious. For Jay, someone said it but I also think, he would be better off as a soloist, not in a group. I recommend watching the full auditions of the participants and even the practice because they don't have the factor of being nervous + tiredness of waiting. Also, i'm really carefull about the audition or I don't base everything on it because MNET is know to force some songs on some participants which ofc end up not suiting them (i think it happened during PRODUCE X101 with Taeeun singing Siren, he was forced and got badly edited, which ended up with him being mocked/hated and several GP999 trainees also revealed it). Also, we don't know what happen behind the curtain, for example, it was revealed that the Japanese team who did SHINE were 6 members to begin with (you can saw it in the practice video released) but for some unknow reasons, they ended up performing with only 3 members , not to mention only 1 members who was "okay" with Korean. Those 3 trainees only had 1 hours to change everything and practice. The others trainees who didn't participated ended up with Zero Stars
