I see your point about being slightly annoyed about Mu deok being so quick to question/throw away Jang Uk after months of becoming close just because she can't see him anymore, but I do think there's a good reason for her character to act like this. We have to remember this is someone who lost her entire family from a young age and from that point on was trained to be a cold-hearted assassin hell bent on revenge. It's also coming after an episode where she finds out her father was a soul shifter who murdered the rest of her family and Jin Mu basically manipulated and used her for over a decade. So while frustrating I do think it's a somewhat appropriate response by someone with this much trauma to need constant reassurance that they're needed from the person who holds her life in his hand. At the end of the day from her pov, although feelings may be developing, Jang Uk may want Mu deok but he doesn't really need her to become a great mage but Mu deok absolutely needs Jang Uk to be loyal to her to have any hope of regaining her power and to not be exposed as Naksu.

You’re right. I forget that despite how badass MuDeok is, on the deeper level she’s emotionally fucked up and kinda always was but now she’s completely vulnerable and has massive trust issues. So she’s questioning Jang Uk moreso because it’s just her unfortunate coping mechanism due to her upbringing! That’s sad 😞
