YAY OMGG

So stoked to watch this yay!!!! Edit: My plan is coming along well. PD has taken the Baekhyun hook.

Noem

Sooo excited for this!!

Lj

I hope you can check out infinite’s killing voice as well! They just had a comeback after five years.

Lj

Under their own company as well, which is super exciting.

Marta

PD! Don't go was performed in Queendom 2 by some Loona and Kep1er members!

h.

pd should watch MAMA ! its so shocking but iconic. i used to jam hard to it when i was 11 lmao. if u do it, u should check out both versions by exo k and exo m. and yes pls listen to baekhyuns album, hes my fav vocalist ever

Julia

You heard Don’t Go on Queendom 2 covered by LOONA & Kep1er

Megan Wall

I just love how Kyungsoo looks so bored. He’s like okay gotta sing my part and then that’s it. Nothing special bahahah. He’s so effortless as well. Looks like he barely tries at all.

Gigi

you need to check out more kyungsoo because he truly is an amazing vocalist and he does have performances where he shows quite a lot of emotion

Liv

Loveeeeee the Boys Planet Love Me Right shout out to Hui, Wumuti, haruto, and the VOICE JAY CHANG but the original just colors the song differently bc obviously EXO is the original

Kimberly Su

Honestly if PD wants to see more of EXO in terms of their actual personality and stuff, I'd love to see him do the EXO Ladder show either CBX or the full group ones (S2 or S4)

DuckyDae X

once sehun enlists exo will be the 5ft8 line + chanyeol at like 6ft3 😂 also kepler and loona preformed don’t go on queendom two which is maybe where you’ve heard it.

Julia

I personally love Baekhyun’s voice when he sings for OSTs, I truly believe that’s where his voice really shines.

ngoc

Dude, first of all, thank you so much for the reaction. Second, D.O does have an solo album ( or ep) called “ empathy “ right off the military service.

Natalia

Hey! Im really glad you are starting your exol journey! You should totally react to baekhyuns albums, im so existed for you to listen “all i got”! To answer your questions About kyungsoo (do), he was always more silent then other but i guess more in a shy way, after they got more famous with growl i remember he started to be more cold because of stalkers and haters, in one show he said he would like to become a farmer and grow stuff so i dont think he likes being an idol, but the members always make sure he is comfortable and tease him a lot. He loves singing he is just not typical idol :)

Form of Therapy

🤔 So he was more shy as a kid? That tracks. I can see, and given how the sasaeng problems used to be WAY worse the further back in K-pop history, how that would make him more grounded and maybe even distant. I almost wonder if acting is a therapeutic process for him 🤔

gen a *

baffles me how he sings so effortlessly and i would look like i'm dying if i even attempted to sing half of his lines

gen a *

PD YOURE GOING TO LOSE IT when you finally react to Baekhyun's 'Bambi' EP, if you think you love his singing now just wait...(rnb GOD). It's like listening to melted honey

Natalia

Honestly i think he is more outgoing right now, he was way more serious around 2015? He really likes acting, he even went to army sooner because he wanted to be in his new film (you should watch it!!) also when you talked About SM i found this short clip of tao saying how it was and honestly it says a Lot About how they act now - https://youtu.be/FwxPZagYBGM

Marcel Wannieck

Yeah this is the video that made me a Chen bias. Again, I can only encourage you to listen to his Japanese debut album that just came out. It's absolutely nothing like his Korean ballad albums. Man goes HARD on that one.

SapphireRain

Wow, I'm actually quite surprised about your opinion of Baekhyun. I've loved him since he did the OST for their drama EXO Next Door. The way you feel about him is the same way I used to feel about Xiumin. I didn't really start noticing Xiumin until he featured on Jimin(AOA)'s song, but he's been growing on me lately, especially after seeing him on that drinking show with Doyoung (NCT). It was hilarious! As for Chanyeol, he has actually been singing from the beginning. He did a lot of the backing vocals and harmonies on their earlier albums, especially in the EXO-K days. It's also so funny how he mentioned 중독 means addiction and not overdose. Overall, it was a great reaction! I loved hearing both of your thoughts on them!

SapphireRain

OMG, I went and rewatched MAMA after watching this. I had forgotten how legendary it is. I would love to see PD's reaction too!

Maria

You should definitely check out the “Cream Soda” Recording Behind The Scenes. The whole process, and the raw vocals are truly incredible.

CrustMusty

Looking forward to more exo content, btw i think you heard butterfly girl for the first time on Queendom 2, not lee mujin :)

Ena

Random immortal song live stage of Baekyun and Chen but I'm pretty sure this video alone got me into EXO all the way back then lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RHKqKSRl00 . It's also interesting to see how they started off as vocals and compare it to now. There was a certain rookie desperation back then.

Kiah Elsie

my only complaint about this killing voice is that it isn't an hour long xD

chensoorese

I think it's also a factor that they didn't have to be anyone in this Killing Voice. Like they were all in their own element, just having fun, singing/belting their lines, and reminiscing the hit songs in their career cos this line-up was just that - most of their biggest hits/title tracks. But Kyungsoo does PERFORM on stage - he feels songs, dances hard, interacts with fans but I guess it's also because Kyungsoo just sings so effortlessly? Like he opens his mouth and beauty just comes out. I'm not sure if PD checks out recording behinds but there's one for Cream Soda that reveals more about how they are in the studio. Thank you for this reaction, PD!

aileen

PD I'm not sure if you had heard but they actually recorded this killing voice in one take! Baekhyun was very proud of it and shared that info with us haha

SD

I definitely recommend watching their knowing brothers episodes, their interview with JYP, and their acoustic concert session.

SD

D.O. is definitely the least idol-like idol there is. There are literal compilations of him refusing to do aegeo. Even with simple things like photocards, he takes the most absurd photos. One of his most infamous photocards was when he took a picture of just his forehead. He's hilarious and I love him for it.

Dalia H

PD i hope you will also check out BTOB killing voice 💙 🙏

SanjA1800

Ahhhh vocal kings.. I love Chen's voice but D.O man. He sings so effortlessly smooth which in contrast to his stone face right next to the ever lively Chanyeol was just hilariously awesome. He always gives me the impression that he somehow got dragged into this idol life and he's stuck with it because it would be too much of a bother to do anything else. Once on Knowing Bros they did say that he has very bad eyesight but he hated wearing glasses or lens so he'd just unknowingly stare at people with that deadpan expression and some of the members had a bad first impression of him because they were like wtf is with this guy lol. I dunno dude's hilarious to me.

Nadia

Thank you for this reaction PD & Blaire, I enjoyed your reactions to it! EXO was the group that really got me into kpop in 2013 so although they are currently not my ult group, they mean so much to me and I am always in awe by their talents. Seeing their musical journey throughout this killing voice was everything I could have asked for and brought back so much nostalgia. I'm the same with Blaire that my fave performances was based on the memories the songs hold for me (e.g. Overdose, Call Me Baby, Don't Go & Growl..those songs I had on repeat during high school) I would highly recommend checking out a live performance of Cream Soda on one of the music shows they attended! I believe it would give a great insight into them as performers, especially what you mentioned about Baekhyun having a suaveness to him, that DEFINITELY comes off in their live performances because this man is famous for his stage presence and charisma (and imo commonly assigned to start most of their title songs because of it). I also recommend checking out his latest solo album Bambi which he released before enlisting, just some of his best vocal performances from start to finish. Your comments about D.O cracked me up cause it's so true. That man is an anomaly to me in the best way lmao. He really is the most anti-idol idol and just lives his life without catering to anyone/the kpop 'system'. Like the most beautiful vocals and a very talented actor but you would never ever think he was capable of either things from first impressions cause of how stoic/bored he looks. I just love how surprised people get once they discover the layers to him lol. However I think he seems more carefree and smiley during this comeback, the man even opened an instagram account and participated in a tiktok dance challenge with BOYNEXTDOOR, which blew everyone away that he would even consider being on trends/ social media 😂

Yayy as a huge exol I’m so glad you enjoyed their killing voice!! Your comments about baekhyun are really interesting cause I think he’s actually one of the most popular members in exo and even though he might not always get the big flashy moment like chen he does a lot of ad-libs which I love. But that might just be cause I’ve been listening to them for a while haha. I also agree that you should check out baekhyun’s bambi album and D.O’s empathy album! Not sure if you’re into ballads/slower songs but I’d also recommend chen’s other albums. I know you said you checked out one but I love all his music. It’s so comforting and soothing especially after a long day. His most recent korean one has a bit more variety and his japanese one is completely different! For EXO stages, I’d recommend anything from their EXO Planet 4 - ElyXion concert cause that whole concert is amazing. I especially love the opening set, the bar scene set, and the ending set! Thanks again for your reaction!

Linh vu

Glad you enjoyed this! Please react to D.O.’s and Baekhyun’s solo albums. In the future you should also react to Exo’s knowing brothers episodes.

Maimona Mendy

I would recommend some of their early live stages/preformances. I really love the clips from EXO Planet #3 & 4 concerts. There are a couple of different videos, all segments from the concerts. These are all videos from the concert I recommend: https://youtu.be/6CfyWokByn8 (Drop That+Keep On Dancing+Lucky+ Run this) https://youtu.be/ixq6clKFPc4 (Acoustic Session+Lady Luck) https://youtu.be/2AXNtMDVQ2I (White Noise+Thunder+PLAYBOY+Artificial Love) From the EXO Planet #4 - ElyXion: https://youtu.be/tmuUOALe5pc (Diamond+Coming Over+Run This+Drop That+Power) *If anyone was better clips or know what clips I am talking about, pls just comment them, I just did a fast Youtube search.

Kpop_Platypus

D.O is my EXO bias for many reasons including but not limited to: his incredible voice, his unapologetic introversion, his phenomenal acting skills, his dedication to the group despite his crazy filming schedules, and being a better dancer than I thought. I just rewatched Swing Kids this past weekend and, I've seen A LOT of dance movies, but that Modern Love sequence should be in the TOP 5 cinematic dance performances of all time. 👩‍🍳💋👌🤩 This (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4r9X6xt_P4) LMR stage is probably my favorite EXO performance because right at the beginning, during his "Oh yeah~, come on" adlib he's CLEARLY, GENUINELY smiling and enjoying the performance. It's a joy to behold. I do recommend checking out at least his official solo debut album Empathy, and his SM station tracks, too, if you've got the time.

Claire

listen I love D.O's voice so much, I sometimes randomly think by myself if only he was not in the army when they recorded the whole Obsession album.. HE WOULD HAVE KILLED THAT SHIT LMAO. (that album is already so so good omg)

Christina M Villa

You should consider a series where you go back and listen to songs you missed when you weren't into kpop as much. I know youv'e said in the past that there was a period where you didn't listen to kpop and that there was an era in SM songs that you just didn't like at that point. Maybe a throwback series to give things a second chance or first listen if you missed it entirely.

Alison Renaud

Your entire life will change when you listen to Baekhyuns Bambi album. Hes meant to be a soloist. Hes amazing in EXO and honestly the voice i recognized first and the most. BUT.....his solo stuff is literally STUNNING. Bambi is pure art, and Cry for Love and All I Got.....fucking hell those songs are life changing!! I would greatly appreciate a listening party for Bambi album it gives me chills!!

DuckyDae X

yeah in-terms of the mistreatment i remember years ago that a member of staff was caught on camera hitting what looked to be baekhyun and tao pretty recently spoke about having to share the bare minimum of food between them and being crammed into the same dorm. as others have mentioned kyungsoo is really introverted but he’s much more expressive during their tours as the boys constantly wind each-other up. also, he struggles a lot with his eye-sight, so that also might play into it because without his glasses the guy can’t see shit. (everyone but if you really want to see chenbaeksoo go wild you should check out the wolf remix, it got everyone to give wolf a second chance.

blue

I'm pretty sure you also heard EXO's Don't Go in Queendom (covered by kepler and loona I believe) that's why it sounded familiar😄

Phoebe Tsuki

its very interesting to me that you think baekhyun gets drowned out next to chen. as someone who has been into exo since exo-m and exo-k were a thing, i think when you look at exo's vocalists and how they are set up, it may help a bit. chen and baekhyun were parallels to each other, and then d.o. and luhan were. you can tell by how they share lines the most. i would say that chen and d.o. had that powerful voice quality, while baekhyun and luhan were more airy and light in comparison. either way, the two of them were never supposed to "compete" in exo's music, since sm had likely always wanted exo-m and exo-k to be separate. so it's interesting to me looking at how exo is currently formulated with two (or three, if you count lay) members who weren't even supposed to be singing with the other six members, at least not often. i would recommend wolf for this reason! a lot of the fandom hates it or finds it cringey, but honestly, the vocal line goes hard on that track. i would recommend listening to all of their older albums ESP the chinese versions bc then you can get a good idea of what exo was supposed to sound like when they casted the members. i understand it's kinda hard listening to the chinese versions bc of one of the former members being... yeah, but i still recommend it! i prefer them bc chen is my bias but also bc i think the vocal line just worked so well in that sub-unit. i was so excited to see you watch this since i'm a huge exo-l and have been following ur channel since your dmumt reaction. much love!
