I'm not sure if I'll go back and watch QP as a whole but I'm down to jump back and check out highlights and such. The general feedback for QP was mixed so I wasn't sure about it.

But this started with looking at a thumbnail and going "man what is this cool video of AESPA" and then turns out that is YEOREUM and let me tell when that blew my mind.

Lmk just a general good jumping off point and we'll go from there!

archie :D

hahah karina and yeoreum are like the splitting image of each other

ditto

i would honestly say save your survival show juice for universe ticket which starts next month. it looks really great, the judges/coaches are probably the best any survival show has ever been, and from the teasers i have seen the girls look talented.

tamkan

I enjoyed the show! would be nice if you can at least check out the performances from the show!

Anita

id say the el7z up members solo introduction stages would be a good place to start. there are also some stand out stages from idols who didnt make the group but maybe you can start off with the members and continue from there!

TheFashionBarbie

You could totally just check out the performances the show was a fine watch if only for the interactions but it's alot of time to spend.

Gekjin

I think QP was excellent up until the live shows (semi-final onwards). The interactions between these idols we already know and love really enhanced the show for me, but if you want to just stick to highlights, all the stages are on youtube.

Liv

Then would it be better to split it up into clips of the auditions, performance clips, and then maybe the finale as a whole episode or u could do the final performances and the ranking announcement—I loved Queendom puzzle but mostly for the girls themselves, Mnet threw in some manufactured drama that didn’t even add interest to the show and just added run time if anything so I get not having time for the whole thing, even tho there were some cute or funny bonding moments b/w contestants I honestly would’ve preferred to skip thru some of it bc most of it was just replaying or having the same scene over and over

Liv

Maybe we run a poll? + make a list of the performances in chronological order in the comments here + summaries of the results of each episode round, I think it’d be super interesting for u to react to the performances and not be influenced by the rest of the editing and just solely the performance! Maybe thoughts of the performance will be different or the same to the actual results

Alec M

i think watching the performances is really worth it, but the whole show is not a necessity even if it was really enjoyable

excellen

lmao yeoreum fooled you but hey it reminded you of queendom puzzle at least. Also in my opinion about how to aproach queendom puzzle right now should be just watch the performances, we can guide you with the order and what to watch. People have mixed reactions about the show mostly because of the usual MNET editing so if you skip that and go for the performances only you can avoid that headache. And after you finish the performances you can go with the EL7Z UP debut and extra content if you wish Also...did you get spoiled already who made it to EL7Z UP or not?

Daviqq

queendom puzzle was amazing imo, and i know love/follow a lot of the girls and groups. Also even though the performances are AMAZING, i think even more than that the interactions between them off stage and while preparing are just as worth watching.

kyujinz

I really enjoyed the show think it’s a great way to get to know the participating groups better (especially seoyeon and jiwoo from tripleS), mnet manufactured drama aside. it is def long though I get that. perhaps you could just watch up until around episode 6 as others have suggested, or if not then just the later performances, because every single one was pretty good and we got to see some new sides to all of the contestants. Also the songs created for the show are all bops!!

ethan

The yeoreum and karina similarities strike again🤣

Daviqq

also, maybe im just biased, but i think you (and blaire) will really enjoy the show, and i always love rewatching survival shows with you. Maybe just watch the first ep and if you like it, keep watching?

Marcel Wannieck

Queendom Puzzle was an odd show. It's like they tried to mash together Queendom and Produce/Planet. It started out pretty good but unfortunately the production quality took a massive hit when they started to do the live broadcasts from episode 7 onwards. But I'd say it's still worth a watch just for the girls and their interactions. It's great for getting to know their personalities without having to go into any group-specific variety shows. I know you like Seoyeon and Jiwoo from tripleS and they're on the show as well! I understand if you're hesitant to commit to 10 episodes of a show with mixed opinions. Maybe you could check out the signal song performances first and then decide if you want to watch the whole thing. - SNAP with Lightsum Sangah, Purple Kiss Yuki, Cherry Bullet Chaerin & Bora, H1-Key Riina, WJSN Yeoreum and CLC Yeeun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjyF5789Kxc - Charismatic with tripleS Jiwoo, Weeekly Jihan & Soeun, woo!ah! Nana & Wooyeon and Cherry Bullet Jiwon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO3fNQhVEDo - SNAP with Rocket Punch Juri, Weki Meki Elly, Shiroma Miru, H1-Key Hwiseo, Dohwa (AOA Chanmi), Lovelyz Kei and Fyeqoodgurl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Timpnus81h0 - Charismatic with Rocket Punch Suyun & Yeonhee, Momoland JooE, tripleS Seoyeon and Weeekly Zoa & Soojin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QZu2LyemL4 Those came out before the show aired so they're intended to be watched before the show anyway. If you don't want to watch the entire show, just the performances themselves are still worth a watch. I can find/make a YT playlist for that if you need it. Or you could just dive into the EL7Z UP MV but you'd obviously be spoiling the final results for yourself. IMO the show is worth a watch, despite its lackluster production in episodes 7 - 10.

Annika

Personally I enjoyed queendom puzzle but its just the usual mnet editing and unnecessary drama stirring and thats probably why it has mixed opinions, I love alot of the girls who participated so I obviously enjoyed seeing them interact with each other. If you dont wanna go through another survival show, I'd reccomend only watching the performances?

Otto

There are so many survivals QP, R U Next, Universe Ticket... I really enjoyed QP, seeing all this groups together is cool, and watching how their "ranks" change too. Also is a good opportunity to meet idols you barely knwo PD like woo!ah!'s members or tripleS' Jiwoo and Seoyeon (i hope you react later to tripleS new reality show with all the girls coming soon). Also weeekly and lightsum members are here, Pkiss too, etc. It was really a nice show imo.

RoNNieTP

It’s okay until the live show episode (ep.7-10) when it’s too dragging and probably time-consuming. I agree with comments that you should check out performances of the show but if you want to watch the whole thing, maybe watching just first 6 episodes, watching performances and then skipping to the final.

Sven Lenders

I’m curious as if you also want to do this with peak time? Since there were so many incredible performances on that show as well. Maybe some of us can send you the links of the best ones? This is what i think i worth reacting to: Must see Peak Time top 6: Vanner DKB MASC Team 24 (Heedo, Moon Jungup, Kim Byungjoo, GON, Kim Hyunjae) BAE173 M.O.N.T Pick Time: Dance: A: GIMME GIMME B: BANG C: BAD D: POWER Rap: A: If I die tomorrow B: 땡땡땡 C: MY BAG D: 아낙네 Vocal A: 한 페이지가 될 수 있게 B: 너의 뒤에서 C: 집으로 가는 길 D: 나의 바다 / My Sea NTX: No mercy, The boys Ghost 9: Never ever, I love it Other performances BXB: Victory song Blitzers: ON BDC: Beautiful Beautiful, Blooming day 24K: Very good ATBO: Growl, HIT ROMEO: Mirotiq, Shine

Marcel Wannieck

Ok, I have the playlist of all the performances. Little disclaimer, everyone did a solo stage in the first two episodes. That's 28 out of the total 57(ish) performances. The solo stages in the playlist are the single cam versions because Mnet didn't upload multi cam versions without the rather annoying reaction shots from the show itself. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhqOF0EagmSzQuuyB8P7pF8AUh_TV11l8 But like I said, the show is still worth watching to see the interactions and friendships being formed. Just skip episode 8. That's 100% recap. Nothing of value happens in episode 8.

ThatPatreonThough

Highly suggest just watching all the performances, at least. I really enjoyed seeing the interactions between all the girls throughout the show, because it’s not something we get to see as often in the current generation (most groups produce their own content now)

ThatPatreonThough

It’s a rare opportunity to see active girl group members from different companies, from different groups, at different levels of success interact. There are a decent number of the contestants that you like, so I think you’ll actually enjoy seeing their personalities and interactions a lot (and ones you don’t know that you may end up liking)

bravemoomoo

If you ever want a chill break survival show, Girls Reverse is good too

pmreez

I personally enjoyed the show purely for the interactions. The performances were great and I think the context helps, at least for the PICK and DROP groups for the first challenge that actually had mvs pretty much. But yes pls check it out!!

ThatPatreonThough

If you end up watching episodes, just go in knowing it’s an MNET show. At this point, we know how/what MNET does with their editing. No idea why the Korean general public still falls for it but it’s obvious when it’s obvious

ThatPatreonThough

True, all I know is that’s about time to do another girl group survival type show. Feels like we’ve done like 3 boy group ones in a row. And unlike any other option, QP will let PD learn more about a lot of active idols and it’s less “painful”

Sven Lenders

Yeah, i get that. But i mean just checking out the performances instead of the whole show. That would be way less time consuming (3 hours at most i think)

ThatPatreonThough

To get around that, PD could just switch over to a YouTube playlist at the start of each performance (especially for the introductory performances) and then predict the score then come back to see the results. An option.

Winter Rian ~

Eh honestly I'd just skip the entirety of Queendom Puzzle, in my opinion it's not reallyyy worth the time. There were a few decent performances that MIGHT be nice to watch, but other than that i don't know. I would just check out the debut first and see if you like it and then maybe go back and watch like 2-3 performances from the show. You're definitely not missing out on much :D

ThatPatreonThough

True, the length is only really a problem in the live episodes though. Those first 6 episodes are fine.

laura

Unrelated to QP but on the topic of survival shows.. Have you heard of / considered watching A2K? It's a JYP x Republic Records survival show with the aim to create a new global girlgroup through a K-Pop system basically. I unexpectedly loved the show and it was so easy to watch too with all of the episodes only being about 30-40 minutes long. I really recommend it. The group that was created through the show (VCHA) has already released a pre-debut single as well so I hope you can at least give that a listen if you don't want to watch the show. :)

ThatPatreonThough

This is honestly a great compromise. Lets PD see the fun interactions, the performances and cuts a lot of the unnecessary stuff too. Would then be able to be wrapped up quicker too (3-4 weeks sooner) to then move on to something new (like the highly anticipated Universe Ticket).

Amina Alzouma

Just watch all the performances at least.

Jesse

Yessss I’d love if you reacted to the queendom puzzle performances! To be honest I really wanted you to react to the whole show. It was funnnn to see all the diff idols interacting with each other. And they made some insane units on the show. Plus all the original music was fireeee

Henry

I would say if anything just to do the performances. The rest of the show had its moments but it’s MNET editing, so there’s that.

iujungwav

I loved the show, honestly! but you can just watch the performance videos on youtube then the last episode. You can't miss Yeoreum's first perfromance though!!

Aubrey Strause

i feel like it's kinda worth it to watch queensdom puzzle. the lineup is kinda predicatable but the performances are so worth it

lex

the show was great!! predictable lineup, but still an awesome show

vKaedehara

I would suggest the performances as there were some really solid performances especially early on in the show, as for the show as a whole it was alright not the best not the worst.

V

That's actually a really great suggestion

DKim

Honestly, bcuz of QP, I started watching RoPun content. I highly suggest you watch the show. It's like the QD2 workshop (ep 5-6), except it's the whole show! Yes, it's Mnet, but we're all used to it by now (or SHOULD be 😂), so it's still fun to watch 😁

Carson Acconzo

You need to watch queendom puzzle to understand their concept!

Tania

I’d honestly recommend watching the show to see the journey of the members. Now it wasn’t as exciting as some of the kingdom/queendom seasons but the concept is so unique. And tbh a lot of the members on the show were incredible. I’d say it’s worth it but if not, u could absolutely just watch all the performances or special highlights

Oligom

the show isnt great by itself, but, has a lot of cool interactions between all the idols, and we saw them overcoming challenges and growing, and that is kinda cool. i would like it if you watched the show, but would understand if you just check all the performances. But if its gonna be only performances, watch them ALL, including their first solo stages for each idol!!

James Mercado

I honestly loved the show a lot it was really nice seeing other members from different groups interact and improve from one another I definitely would recommend giving it a watch

Di

I enjoyed QP for the most part. It really helped me to appreciate the talent the idols had (even the ones that I thought I knew from other survival shows) and introduced me to new groups. I also enjoyed their interactions. Some of the editing from mnet was meh (like exaggerating the mistakes on stage) but I still enjoyed the stages (the full versions of the perfs on youtube that is).

Di

Also really liked some of their personalities e.g. Juri. She was hilarious in the first episode.

ac0rn

tbh don't really recommend QP, the show itself wasn't worth watching. the kindgom/queendom show formats are so frustrating, as expected from mnet. if PD's looking for a competition show to watch, maybe Nizi Project season 1 since Niziu's set to make a korean debut this month?

Dan Pifko

I would recommend performance reactions from QP at least!

Ayeyassha

I don't think it would be all that necessary to watch the whole show imo. The performances were cool though! Maybe save your survival show thirst for a different one

elise

I don't recommend watching the show I personally had a hard time watching it because of the editing that MNET went for, I didn't really like it, after some point they started to do live episode and it was draging everything also little by little, the budgets went ⇘ However definitely recommend at least going thought the performances they did : - All the contestants had solo performances for EP1 / EP2 (If someone had a playlist to give you for this, it would be cool, otherwise if you are interested I could try to make one) - They had RISE UP as a song with all the participants - 7:7 Team Battle (ended up being 6:6 BATTLE because Chaeyeon left and also Haein) : SNAP and CHARISMATIC Each has two team SNAP - PICK CAT / ATHENA + CHARISMATIC - DROP the Beat / PICK on the top You can watch the MVs version but I also liked the performance at the final where the two team who went against each others ended up performing together - REMIX BATTLE : ONLY ONE / SHUT DOWN / DON'T CALL ME / DANCE THE NIGH AWAY / FIGHTING / NXDE - All-Rounder Battle : You had a singing/rap section with RUSH HOUR / WEEK END + HOPELESS ROMANTIC / IF WE EVER MEET AGAIN + WANNABE / TIME OF OUR LIFE But also a dance section with BAD BLOOD/OVERWATER + GLOW UP / WEB - Semi-Final : PUZZLIN' / IDGA / I DO - Final : Billionaire / Last Piece For EL7ZUP as a whole, you could check Cheeky their debut, definitely recommend their cover of PINK VENOM, I know that they redid SNAP and BAD BLOOD but I don't have good quality video I think unfortunately
