Based on poll results I'll be considering candidates for a survival show binge soon! Vote below :)

Comments

Julia

LETS GO PEAK TIME !!

Jesse

RU Next & Queendom Puzzle are tied for me!

gloria c

Sixteen & swf2

Sami Casingal

Darn. I want both Peak time and No Mercy, but you can only vote for one 😭

Serena

peak time !!!

eve_ss

Pls pls I hope NCT LASTART would win 🙏🥹

sky

So tempted to pick sixteen. It was really good and im not even a twice fan 😭

bigalbrt

I really want to see PD react to sixteen 😭

rockthekazb0t

Also, please - only watch My Teenage Girl, the boy version is almost entirely different - basically in name only (except not really because they also renamed it FANTASY BOYS lol) It was a huge mess. MTG had Soyeon as a judge and imo, she was brilliant!

Marcel Wannieck

My vote still goes to Queendom Puzzle but my second choice would probably be Peak Time, for what it's worth.

Rebecca Le Minh

Please not R U Next it's so frustrating...

Anonymous

Wild idol is the most underrated survival show of all time. I binged that show and I would be more than happy to do it again

Anita

I know theres a super low chance of my teenage girl winning this but i really think you should at least check out the signal song for the show! i think its my fav survival show theme song/performance!

Gustavo Ramos

Both sixteen. And Street women fighter are a must

WiseSmellyLegs

Like a minute ago I realized No Mercy and Sixteen are much older than the rest, so I was surprised nobody asked for Stray Kids (like the TV show). I know it is late to mention it here, but just from the curiosity... has PD seen it without watching it for the Patreon (like just on his own)? Or why hasn't it ever been considered/suggested?

Marcel Wannieck
>>121438167

I haven't seen either season but I will say that the group that came out of the boy version, Fantasy Boys, have an absolutely amazing debut song!

rockthekazb0t
>>121438167

I thought Class:y's debut was amazing as well. Fantasy Boys was just a mess to watch, especially compared to Boys Planet which aired at the same time. And I know several members who got in, viewers were PISSED about (I never got invested, so I didn't care as much lol)

rockthekazb0t
>>121438228

I think PD should watch the all classes version anyway - maybe if they're blown away they'll be more likely to watch 😅

LoLo
>>121438167

Yep Fantasy Boys was a humongous mess. So so frustrating.

WiseSmellyLegs
>>121438104

I mean... there were just a few of us asking for it, but on the other hand... where did Wild Idol come from? 😅 (No offence to people liking it, but I didn't see anyone mentioning it...)

WiseSmellyLegs

So this is how it feels like to vote in the elections for the party, which is barely known... (In the context of A2K not making it even to the poll)

kpoppie

OMG SWF1???? NO WAYYY

Ophelia

TORN BETWEEN PEAK TIME AND NO MERCY

Haruka

RUNext is just your taste PD ^^

Harley

I would love to see PD watch SWF1 since I haven’t really seen them dive into dance as an art and how it can be used for media. Also it’s definitely part of the WIZONE journey since Chaeyeon competed on it

Jinyatta

I know it's too late to be on the poll, but in the future if you are looking for a survival show to watch, I recommend Youth With You season2. Sure it's a chinese show, but in a way it's Kpop adjacent. Blackpink's Lisa was one of the mentors and Dreamcatcher's Handong was a contestant. Plus quite a few of the girls ended up on GP999. I think one of the reasons I liked it so much is that not being invested in the Chinese music scene, these was a lot less stress while I was watching it when it originally aired.

Ewtio

Honestly A2K, although it's not on the poll

Anonymous

Both SWF 1 and 2 are AMAZING! I would love to see your reaction to them

Woffel

I would really recommend SIXTEEN especially if you want to get to know twice more in depth. It really is an eye opener

aidrou

I really want PD react to SWF season 1 and all consequent seasons, I adore this show. Aside from outstanding performances, the drama is sooo entertaining, I just need them to really know who Monica Shin is

rockthekazb0t
>>121440337

Maybe in the future 🤞🤞 Honestly it's such a fast watch they could do it concurrently with whatever wins, but I'm not about to ask them to add to their workload 😅

Ella Miller

QUEENDOM PUZZLE & SIXTEEN PLS!!! :)

Ewtio
>>121440337

I really hope so, would be great to see PD react to it considering he's Korean-American

Anonymous

I think PD would appreciate the initiative behind the SWF series. I would love to hear their opinions on the show!!

WiseSmellyLegs
>>121440337

I feel like sooner or later we will get it anyway. First scenario: PD will notice Vcha and he will want to watch their content to have something to provide for new coming patrons from Vcha reaction videos on YouTube, so he’ll ask us for it and we will be like: “Well, well, well 😎😎there is A2K and the time spent on it is more less the same time you spent on Baemon content…” PD’s response: “Excellent!” Second scenario: PD will be really tired of taking care of their future baby, but at the same time he will need a content for Patreon and it will be too stressful and time consuming to watch any survival show and then our time comes to remind him of A2K! A2K, the show you watch after your child is finally sleeping and you just need something healing for your mind 😅😅

WiseSmellyLegs
>>121439533

Those were my suggestions! By the way… are there any English subtitles for the last 3 episodes? Since they were Japan exclusive, there are no official English subtitles for it. Wait… for some reason for the 8th episode there still were, but for the rest were nor

bannsutie

I think the others are good but i think r u next would be the best to see how you form your opinions about the show because the system is very different from other survival shows and it's pretty controversial.

aicrylic (aimee)
>>121438303

I remember once someone asking about it during a stream and PD made a comment about not being super interested in watching due to the fact it was 9 members (also mentioned not being interested in watching older Stray Kids content for the same reason) however this was a while ago though so maybe things have changed

Jinyatta
>>121440085

Yeah and they talked about their company being poor since they had to make their own costumes and they couldn't get copyright rights to use the songs they wanted, so a girl at their company wrote a song for them for their audition stage

Milli Mey

Peak Time is definitely one of the best survival shows out there. The concept of giving unknown kpop groups new attention and a second chance is just so nice. I hope they will make a second season. And the amount talent and quality of the performances is so high

SapphireRain

Wild Idol has such a unique concept. It was really interesting and entertaining to watch. The group they debuted (TAN) isn't temporary like other shows. Plus you get to see just how amazingly talented Gunwook is, even before his time on Boys Planet.

Jasmine sumner
>>121439533

I'm not sure. And a2k was refreshing to see compared to a lot of survival shows but it's a shame there's no subs on some of the lastart EPs

ghoulshima

heartbroken over the lack of sixteen votes 😭 it’s such a good watching experience as a once, seeing how hard they worked and what they had to go through to debut. hope PD will watch it at some point in the future

Nova Amore

Omgg, I really wanna see your reaction to street woman fighter 🥹🥹

Jennifer Hiltz

PD, omg, Peak Time is so so good. I love that it highlights the talents of groups that went under the radar or suffered from lack of funding. I hope that even if you don’t end up watching it next, you’ll be able to watch it in the future!! I’m so glad you’re considering it.

Jennifer Hiltz
>>121447185

Also, there’s a group that does Seventeen absolute justice in their audition performance.

Aureolin

PEAK TIME is definitely one of the best survival shows out there- yes SWF is more popular but for you I'd definitely RECOMMEND PEAK TIME The concept of giving unknown kpop groups new attention and a second chance is just so nice. I hope they will make a second season. And the amount talent and quality of the performances is so high - and it felt like the staff truely took care of the groups on the show and i loved how they made it so fair and equal for every group

laura

was teally hoping for A2K :(

Vibby

Would have voted for wild idol if it stood a chance, its the most unique/crazy survival show I've ever watched and probably my favorite, still holding on hope you'll watch it one day. But peak time is also very good!

dan

SWF Fighting !

Sami Casingal

I have no interest in SWF. I guess that’s one less thing I can watch here. That’s a shame, but majority dominates on polls 😭. Cruel but the truth

starspal

girls reverse is the most fun survival

Christian

Universe Ticket (starting soon) and A2k

Aureolin
>>121449727

unfortunately, Like i can litreally see PD enjoying PEAK TIME so much more then SWF

Sami Casingal
>>121449727

Ya not to mention I’m willingly paying $20 as a student to be watching all this and paying that much even when the month doesn’t have much content I like. Not to say that others opinions don’t matter, but it’s just very unfortunate. Though, at least pretty much all the anime and drama that’s being watched here are ones I’ve been dying for them to see

Aureolin
>>121447541

and SWF is not bad but it is very MNETy - its just very mnet at times if you know what i mean and that was a turn off for me and PEAK TIME felt like a breath of fresh air in middle of all these survival shows

Aureolin
>>121449727

me too!! i ran to resubscribe when i saw the polls happening for it to have disappointing results

Sami Casingal
>>121449727

Ya, but I gotta say I’m good with the other two polls though if the poll was reposted, I would’ve liked to see Extraordinary Attorney Woo get first place even though I know Business Proposal is also good as I’ve seen it myself

feli

Definitely recommend Wild Idol if you’re interested in seeing more Gunwook or Kamden from BP. I’m hoping you’ll eventually watch it anyway

Sarah

SIXTEEN!!! it’s life changing😭 gives you a whole new love and appreciation for twice🤍

poptart2003

no mercy would be interesting

eve_ss

I don't think NCT LASTART will win now at this point which makes me sad 😢 I really hope you still consider on watching this. This is such a good show tho. And it's not that long. Perfect for binged watching. 🙏🥺

Victoria Douglas

Even though its not getting a lot of votes, I will fight tooth and nail for you to see Wild Idol. That show is a ride

Phan

Peak Time is so wholesome and the very real, positive effect it had on some of the groups album sales is insane. Plus no mnet evil editing is a breath of fresh air.

Sandy Cai

OMG. PEAK TIME PLEASE!!! ITS AN AMAZING SHOW.

Anonymous

Girls Reverse is such a fun variety-centric survival show with so many idols from both currently active and inactive girl groups. The girls hiding behind a character also gives a very interesting dynamic to the show since they no longer have to worry about age or seniority and everyone just treats each other on equal grounds. If you're looking for a good, entertaining survival show in a new format then I definitely recommend checking it out!

ThatPatreonThough

All this poll does is show that most patrons aren’t girl group stans. You’ve done like 2-3 back-to-back boy group survival shows. SWF isn’t even idol related except that Chaeyeon is on there, so it’s the outlier on this poll. I think it’s only fair that the next survival show be a girl group one (meaning not SWF).

Phan
>>121466484

look as a girl group stan who voted for Peak Time... honestly to me it was the best choice out of the options apart from maaaaybe Girls Reverse (in very different ways) and the one I thought PD would likely enjoy the most. Queendom Puzzle is okay apart from mnet but it doesn't stand up to the other queendoms (also still mad its the reason I won't be seeing yuki on purki's tour), R U Next is just frustrating to watch, My Teenage Girl is fine but the production wasn't great and it was forgettable tbh (and s2 fantasy boys was a MESS not even soyeon could save that one), and Sixteen is kinda only interesting if you're a TWICE fan (a group PD has been putting out pretty consistent content for in comparison to other ggs, so it doesn't add much variety). Not a huge SWF fan, because again, mnet. If we're talking girl group content I'd much prefer HYEMILEEYECHAEPA, Idol Drama Operation Team, or some other girl group crossover variety show instead over these options. Girls Reverse would be fun but it doesn't seem to be getting much support even against the other gg shows. Only started watching PT for Tiffany and Moonbyul but damn that show made me cry first episode, it's just legitimately good.

Ziggy

Girls reverse is the best and the interactions and situations are so funny with the VR world.

EmmyD610

Wild Idol !! Such a different survival show concept + Park Gunwook 1st survival show

elise

Your reaction to STREET WOMAN FIGHTER would definitely be interesting! Both Season 1 and 2 are really great in my opinion, I was less into Street Men Fighter PEAK TIME is one of the survival that I liked because they might have some tensions moment at least at one mission but most of the time it was comfortable, some may find the editing boring because they love drama but I liked how chill it was and loved the concept and you find really great groups. EP1 and EP2 really have great covers, if you don't end up watching it I still really recommend watching some performances. Also I really liked the judges pannels and Lee Seung Gi was such a great MC, very funny at some point, he made the final and the waiting so bearable GIRLS RE:VERSE is very different from all the others survival show and it may not be for everyone since it's VR but I will say, the concept is really interesting with the Virtual World and also in my opinion it's one of the most fun survival show you can watch because the girls don't have a limit, it's a mess, they curse, I like how free they are

Nina

Peak Time is really fun and such a great concept, especially with the nature of the idol industry. I think you’d be able to nerd out if you decided to watch it. It’s about taking a range of idols and giving them a chance to show the potential they couldn’t because mainstream idols were occupying the limelight. I like mainstream idols too but it’s an interesting perspective to get from idols who were forced into taking a years long hiatus from lack of popularity but still wish to be an idol, even knowing how insanely competitive it is nowadays.

Sofia 🪄

Although I don't really like how R U Next ended (nothing against the line up it's more so how they ended up creating it that bothered me since they basically lied to us the whole show about how the girls would be chosen), I think the missions were interesting and we got a lot of great performances from talented girls so I would still recommend it just for that. Peak Time was such a great watch, I already knew some of the contestants so seeing them again in this made me kinda emotional

eve_ss

Still hoping for NCT LASTART reaction miracle tho :(

cherry park

i feel like you would enjoy peak time quite a lot

Dautrement eloane

you would enjoy peak time so much (and i would too ahah)

jenny

Seems like swf it's going to win. I've been wanting to watch swf for a long time, it would be great to watch it with you!😊 Sad for queendom puzzle tho, I would suggest to watch the performances at least, I think you would enjoy them!:)

Neeko

I have a few issues with the mechanics of My Teenage Girl but the talent on that first season was pretty damn solid! And FULL live vocals which we love to hear!

Irie

PEAK TIME!! SWF!!!

Taj carter

NCT LASTART please‼️

I hope they will make a second season. And the amount talent and quality of the performances is so high - and it felt like the staff truely took care of the groups on the show and i loved how they made it so fair and equal for every group and the panel of judges was also very fresh

I also loved Peaktime because all the groups that were competing were so supportive of each other I often forgot that it was a competition show. So good! And the performances were Incredible!

Ivy Jaggers
>>121478989

A few people were on wild idol. This too was a great show. Very different from your average survival show. Something to really experience!
