Hey I need to tweak my schedule around due to logistical issues so I have a question about MAMA:

Is MNET done uploading all the performances? Are all the Sessions playlist accurate? Because they don’t seem so?

As far as I know, most people had to watch on Naver for full performances

Can I suggest when you get to TXT, watch the dance practice after the performance. The camerawork during their dance practice is 100 times better than mama 😂

Not sure about if they're done but will recommend watching &TEAMs performance on the &TEAM All Moments video ( https://youtu.be/F4suBDo5K-s?si=nQqAnWFmpKqN5Mko ) rather than the one on the playlist. The video on the playlist glitches during EJs part and the camera cuts away so you don't see Fuma during his line, but for some reason it's fine on the All Moments video.

If you don't want to be spoiled for Ateez you should react to thier new mv first, thier MAMA performance was amazing but they did do the new song

i don't think they are done putting it in a playlist but all the performances should be up on their channel in one part (ik they have like "x artists all mama 2023 moments" and they also have just the performances in one video depending on how many songs they performed !!

Mama and melon music awards was insane this year. Every single performance was amazing. I loved kep1ers mama performance and everyone slayed. Hard to pick a favourite

I'm pretty positive these are all the performances excluding two very short street woman fighter sections, bcz mnet seems to have hidden it. I've also watched the whole show and day 1 & 2 were both like 3hrs with all the speaking yes.

I recommend to watch the performance from the "x artists all mama 2023 moments", as someone said in the comments below, because you don't miss anything from the performances. And also, if you could react to the Melon Music Awards too, I really recommend, the performances this year were really good! Observation: Zerobaseone killed!!

After watch the mama performance of Enhypen and TXT you should watch their dance practice, the camera work was the worst and missed a lot of main points of the choreographies

Or you could just watch the videos they upload for each group compiled sepeeately which also contains each groups full performance. Just skip the extra stuff in the video and watch the performances. Tgats what i did for SEVENTEEN. Performances itself woyld be in order. Its just u need to watch each group individually as a separte video. Seach "2023mama (GROUP NAME) all moments"

btw the camera work was HORRIBLE at MAMA and TXT’s dance practice has actual lighting and camera work to make up for it just saying

the camera work and lighting at mama was atrocious so when you watch tomorrow x together's performance PLEASEEEE WATCH IT WITH THEIR DANCE PRACTICE VIDEO, IT IS FILMED SOOOO MUCH BETTER AND IT'S WAY MORE HIGH QUALITY THAN MAMA'S. IT REALLY WILL FEEL LIKE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERFORMANCE

Honestly MAMA was so disappointing I feel like you could just watch whatever you want to, rather than the whole thing

dont forget MMA too! the performances there overall were wayy better although u should def watch MAMA anyways, the performances and the collab stages were still pretty cool. also watching riize's talk saxy mv beforehand would be better as they performed the song

MAMA was so bad this year! The idols did great and worked hard but the camera work and quality of the videos made it quite impossible to enjoy for me. Like others said, MMA was better but the full performances were not uploaded to YouTube by Melon. Random users did upload them in full but I'm guessing they'll be taken down soon. Also, some important groups and artists didn't attend either one or both of these award shows which left me feeling a bit empty after watching them. I think you could just watch a few performances from both that you're interested in but nothing really earth shattering happened.

totally agree with most of the criticisms here but I would still say that some of the stages are worth watching! I especially enjoyed the collab/special stages (there was three I believe), and also think zerobaseone and le sserafim (and many others ofc!) were amazing the camera work was indeed terrible (it pissed my off in most stages but for txt I feel it was especially bad - thankfully hybe is very quick with posting dance practices though), which I think just fucking sucks, especially for the artists themselves as it is so clear how hard they work for these award shows - maybe that is also why I still try to enjoy the stages and find the positive in them...

I don't know if I have anything to add to the words others have mentioned. Basically there were not that much performances and although they upload them on YouTube it is weirdly cut into more videos, for example the super stage called: "Goddess Awakened" (Super Stage) by Huh Yun-jin (Le Sserafim), Xiaoting (Kep1er), Bada Lee (Street Woman Fighter 2), Monika (Street Woman Fighter), Minnie ((G)I-dle) is in two parts, where the end and the start of the first and second video somehow weirdly overlaps each other. Or at least this is the form I saw it at first right after the MAMA ended. Those performances were not bad, but although I say: "Yeah, MAMA used to be better, but I can still find a performance or more, which I can appreciate", I have to admit that this year was a weak one. I mean, Seventeen ended it with Super and God of Music, you cannot say no to that, but as the whole show... it was not that interesting. You can watch just the Seventeen one and then you can use your time for binging Hunter x Hunter or Shingeki no Kyojin 😅😅. (Just kidding, I don't want to offend anyone, who has their favorite ones in the list of performances...)

Some people here in the comments talk about MMA as if they weren't gonna react to those stages as well. Guys, there are five days of awards stages in the beta January schedule. I'm 95% sure they fully intend to watch both MAMA and MMA.

You're not wrong though, MAMA was a bit shorter this year in terms of performances. Last year had 32 artists with 59 songs across 25 different stages. This year had 25 artists with 49 songs across 23 different stages.

It was me who wrote that but just to avoid misunderstandings, I didn't mean to imply that the artists who performed in mama and mma were not important! But you can't deny that a lot of big names didn't show up which was quite disappointing (to me personally). When I started watching award shows many years ago, the tradition was that everyone performed everywhere but we were quite spoiled back then.

I just wanted to add my own opinion on this discourse for jaehyuk and/or blaire to know that there are people here who would still appreciate reactions to mama/mma performances :)

If you're doing riize, kep1er and ateez performances. Kep1er had an jpn MV for grand Prix for their JPN release before mama. Riize had a CB with talk saxy before performance and ateez just had a CB which they performed the song before the CB. This is incase you wanna see the MVS/songs first then performances to not get spoiled. Ateez cb was nuts

Yeah, PD will react to both, the only reason some people here wants him to skip MAMA, not because it's bad but becaue their favs didn't attend it this year. Like MAMA and MMA feels incomplete because half of half attend one of them and not both, lol
