So excited! Happy holidays everyone! 🫶🏽

PochiJr

Cant wait to gulp down everything in 6 days with family events in between sucking the time out of me simply because you cant fullfil a schedule for once :)

ian

Happy holidays🤍 This is my first one without my brother so it’s been incredibly tough, but honestly kpop has gotten me through it. Hoping XG’s Winter Without You makes it into the content pipeline next month before the season ends and you take your break❄️💙

Kseniya

Happy holidays !

Liam Green

Will the Twice ready to be concert reaction be in December or January

Pooge

Happy Holidays you two! Can’t wait for the drops 🫶🏼

joo

so excited

Sav

I’m going to be honest, many parts of this video felt a bit sanctimonious. I’m happy you guys are processing the refunds, but I wish more time was spent talking about everyone’s concerns. All the best to you both, truly.

Winter Rian ~

Let’s see. I‘m holding you to your word and hope that is indeed the case. There’s been too many promises already. (really hoping for all these great listening parties like Woodz, Ateez and especially the SM and B. I albums.) Happy holidays and merry Christmas PD, Blaire and everyone else. I’m watching the video tomorrow cause I Gotta go sleep now, if there is anything important mentioned please feel free to sum it up guys. Have a nice one 🙏🏻☺️

ac0rn

thank you for processing the refunds and hopefully you guys do get the reactions out but honestly it still sucks that a whole month's worth of videos is gonna be released during the last week, esp during the holidays when a lot of us aren't going to have enough time to enjoy them... anyways hope everyone has a happy holiday season!

laelia

First off, I’m proud of your honesty, BUT AGAIN, this is a long drawn out philosophical video that largely minimizes all of the comments we already made on your last video. Yes, refunds are processing and you’re going to cut tier prices. When is that going to happen? Besides that, you completely ignored the rest of the 300+ comments asking for a street team update, asking for any form of acknowledgement when you went radio silent for 4 days. You ignored comments calling out the fact that you do exactly this and refuse to directly discuss comments and instead speak generally and convoluted. You ignored the large picture which is that you have had this issue for almost the entire time your patreon has operated and instead of seeking help (which street team was supposed to do) you just ignore all of us. If you want to read comments, I suggest you read the ones on your last update.

Annemc022

Ok, thank you for adressing some of our concerns. This month I subscribed to your patreon after a long time as a sort of christmas present for myself and to support you who I always follow through youtube. Obviously I expected the content to be out the days you promised, but again I saw the inconsistency that I had seen months ago, so even though I won’t get a refund this month, I have to say I will still support you only on youtube from now on (hoping you will still be active there a little bit more). Merry christmas everyone! Love you🫶🏼

PochiJr

The thing is, since updates are hidden under payment, I cant really take this decissions without making a payment beforehand so... Yeah, kinda scummy seeing a Schedule, paying for the month and then seeing... This mess

PochiJr

And yeah I am kind of being forced unless I want to pay for another month, which I dont

Ezra mooneyham

I can only speak for myself but I have been following you for many years and I genuinely enjoy you as a person. I think you have a good heart and good intentions, even if the impact of your decisions may not always play out the way you imagined. I'm not going to pretend like I know you, but over the years I have definitely started to care for you as a person. I see so much of myself in you (especially the struggles you have with mental health) and for that reason it hurts me too see you struggle the same way I do. It's not so much your reactions that I enjoy but rather your presence. Your vibe, the way you speak, think, and your sense of humor is what I enjoy. There is something about your patreon that feels safe and comforting. I used to enjoy just watching live streams where you would talk and not necessarily react to anything. I think you are much better of a person than you give yourself credit for but of course I know that is a very difficult belief to internalize. Edit: I'm not going to comment on all the other stuff as I have already commented on the other post

Ivy

kinda unrelated but the starbucks??.. happy holidays tho

ghoulshima

so it's a nothing update, where nothing gets said, just like people predicted. it's all talk about your mental health and trauma and how shitty you feel about all this. i guess it's good you admitted that it's your fault you have to film over christmas, but that's about the extent of it. literally no acknowledging people's anger, or concerns, or anything. there are almost 400 angry, frustrated comments under the last update post, but we're just gonna ignore that or? and then that weird comment about how people are here because they love PD and wanna support PDs dreams, which i guess there are some people like that, but it's weird to assume that's the majority to such a degree that you ask people who are here for the content WHY they're here for the content. like that's what this patreon is for? people don't get what they literally pay you for, pretty decent amounts of money straight from their pockets that they worked hard for, just to get like a fourth of the content that was promised in return i don't know, this just feels like another cog in the never-ending cycle of making a promise, failing to deliver, people are angry, PD goes silent, then some rant about mental health and trauma with no actual real apology. the only somewhat real thing they said in this whole video wasn't even PD, it was Blair mentioning the refunds in like the last 30 seconds of a 30 minute video. just own up to it without guilt-tripping us or making excuses for 25 minutes first. assuming the content will be out, people who cancelled their subs now have just a few days to get through what should've been like 3 weeks of content. it's so dumb

chelsey

............. all i'm going to say is happy holidays & good luck to you in the new year.

mistywolf the dragon rider

I appreciate the update. I really hope that in the future you feel that you are able to let us know when things like this happen, instead of just trying to push through it on your own. You don't have to talk about the details or anything, just something to let us know so that way we aren't left in the dark. I hope you know that many people here really do respect you and care about you, myself included, but we want you to respect yourself and your needs first and foremost. I think if you can do that, it will naturally lead to your audience feeling more respected as well because you will be happier and more likely to complete what you said you would because you will have lowered the expectations for yourself. I hope you guys have a restful and happy holiday time as much as possible, go out and do fun things and see beautiful scenery like you said you were missing out on at the beginning of the video.

Ezra mooneyham

This is beautifully written comment and I couldn't agree more with everything that you have said

Katara S

So, I subscribed because I enjoyed learning the extra context behind certain things in lyrics and music videos that I as a nonasian American would not have known otherwise. I am now unsubscribed because there's been a running thing of iffy consistency, month long breaks(3 this year if I'm remembering correctly), random epiphanies, and more promises to be broken. I've enjoyed your content for roughly 3 to 4 year, I've been a patron for around 2. I always paid through the breaks because I actually care for your well-being, but I think, at this point, my trust as a viewer is broken. I don't want a refund or anything, I just want yall to find the happiness and structure you've been searching for.

Andreeeea

tbh at the beginning i was only here for the content, however at some point it became more of a safe place for me. Over the years i have lost many friends and been in many toxic friend groups and that kinda took a rough toll on my mental health. Coming here made me forget all of that. Being able to share moments from my favourite groups with both you and Blaire, I felt like a finally had real friends by my side. And for bringing me that king of joy i felt like the best thing i could do was support you and your dreams. I also really like the insights that you are able to give us so that is definitely another reason to why i have stayed a patreon all of these years. So to sum it up, I wont consider myself a fan as i'm not watching everything you put out but i am definitely not only here for the content. I feel like i would consider myself a friend. I follow you on your journey to success while silently watching on the sideline. That's probably the best way i can describe myself!!

Aegiey

Personally speaking, as you asked, I'm here as a client instead of a fan. Yeah, your reactions are amazing. Thing is, I started watching in late 2021, I think maybe literally 2 Decembers ago or so, but I ended up unsubscribing because there were either empty promises or I didn't have the money to keep waiting, etc. Then there was a definite shift in that direction of delays after the anime + drama tiers were introduced. I get that logistically prices had to go up and all, but it did clog other things. It does. As for the listening parties, I don't mind if you don't look up credits. I just wanna enjoy the album with you and see how you literally just react to the artists making music. Again, just personally, I'm not interested in the anime+drama tiers. I could watch them on my own time and finish them way faster plus for cheaper. BUT I would totally pay that money for other shows that do make it better for me to have your input on. Shows like Listen Up, Double Trouble, or others you might know of. Even the variety shows or survival shows have a whole new meaning when you talk about what you like about what's going on in them. That's stuff I won't find elsewhere. The thing is, I see you as someone with knowledge who likes and enjoys sharing that knowledge for a price. That's okay with me. I thank you for it. I'm your happy client as long as you do provide what you intend to provide in the relative time you yourself decide. Isn't that reasonable? Anyway, wishing y'all the best and see you in your videos today and tomorrow

feli

Haven’t watched this, because I’m busy with christmas stuff but thank you for processing the refunds. Since I can see others answering the question, I’m primarily here for content as thats what I pay so much for. Of course, along the way since I’ve seen so much of your content, I’ve grown to respect you and thats why I feel comfortable letting my complaints and concerns be known. If I didn’t care for you as a creator, and believe in your vision and ideas, I would have left a long time ago. I know what its like to struggle mentally so I believe in some leeway there, but not to this extent when people are paying so much only for content to be condensed in such a short period in the holiday season. It would probably be more excusable if it was a one or two time thing, but its been this way for a while. I hope you find a way to make it work for you, because I’d love to come back and enjoy your content one day, but I’ll need a break for a while after all of this. As I said, I believe in your vision and ideas and wouldnt even be comfortable expressing such frustration if I didn’t. I would have left without a care in the world ages ago if I didn’t. Thank you and happy holidays, I’ll watch this video in full when I can.

nins

I wish you addressed more concerns. I appreciate the insight of your mental health and larger goals but it's clear that you've hit an impasse. "Force yourself to take two months off" is a crazy statement. Emphasizing that you are exhausted and all you have been doing recently is resting, filming, resting, filming, etc. is somewhat also offensive considering you didn't address how privileged this job is and that once again the videos are not proportionate to the cost. Also situating that you are forcing yourself to film during Christmas for us when really it's reflective of your broader failures that forced you to do so is deflecting your responsibility in this situation, you aren't fully owning up to your mistakes. You've been figuring out stuff for years. You said you didn't want to get another job and that you wanted to stick with Patreon, what's the game plan with that? Where is the constructive, objective game plan going forward? I say all these harsh things as someone who is both a client and a fan. Happy holidays, and I really do hope you grow and improve in the future, but I just won't be a part of that future. Also, the Starbucks really isn't cool.

FroggyMuds

The way the payment cycle works,,, if u want the content u pay for then u have to watch it this week... which sucks bc a lot of ppl don't have time for all of that right now. If it was more spaced out like it was said it would be this wouldn't be an issue.

Marcel Wannieck

Okay, finally an update! I'll be writing this comment as I watch. Let's see what you have to say. But first of all, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! - So, here's the thing. If you need to take two months off, that's fine. But then you really do have to take them off COMPLETELY. Don't upload any content whatsoever. Pause the Patreon and put all pledges on hold while you're away. And communicate that WELL IN ADVANCE. Not just on Patreon but on Youtube as well. - Good to hear that you're working on cutting the tier prices down. - Personally I'd be fine with you not checking out the producer credits on your listening parties. I never do it myself either. I watch your LPs to see your reactions and thoughts on the music itself and how it makes you feel. And if people think that you absolutely have to know who produced a certain song, they can tell you in the comment section. That would be enough imo. (Truth be told, I remember one LP where you checked out the producer credits for all the songs all at once at the beginning. I deadass skipped that part to just get to your reactions to the music. Because that's the part I'm actually here for.) - I understand that you want to break into the music industry. But be honest, how realistic is that really? And I'm not talking about your skills as a producer, I have no doubts in those. But reliability and punctuality have been an issue with you for a very long time. Not keeping your promises, missing your deadlines, etc. You know how fast and brutal the Kpop industry is. People aren't gonna work with you if you continue to be as unreliable as you have been on this Patreon. If you're absolutely serious about this you have to sort yourself out first. Honestly, get therapy for all the mental health issues you're having, so that you finally stop using it as an excuse for your chronic delays. - I do have to wonder though, didn't you say that one reason you took November off was to prefilm for December? Why hasn't that happened? Either way, the best way to go forward really might be to get to a point where everything is prefilmed a month in advance. Just like it used to be a few years ago. And then make the schedule AFTER you've filmed everything, only including the stuff you did actually film already. And don't promise anything else. Any bonus stuff that comes out on top of that should be a complete surprise. - Speaking of being a better leader: What happened to the Street Team? Is this another idea that just got abandoned? I need an update on this. - Sad to see you're not really fully adressing the almost 400 comments on the last update post Well, I'm remaining skeptical. You've done many updates like this in the past. But actions speak way louder than words. And your actions have unfortunately not lead to improvement so far. What I said one year ago still holds true today: You're trying to watch way too many different shows all at the same time. Three Kdramas, five anime, god knows how many variety shows. No wonder you're so fucking exhausted all the time. No wonder you're so far behind on comebacks and albums. You have to cut it down. When you reduce your prices, also reduce your content. My proposal, which heavily draws from what Annie Yen posted in the chat a few days ago: - One Kdrama at a time - Two animes tops - One survival show - One slot for bg variety - One slot for gg variety - One slot for "other" variety (Lee Mujin service, Showterview, Weekly Idol, that sort of stuff, you get the point) And for each of those you do ONE episode a week. That would leave you with exactly seven scheduled videos a week. You can use the remaining time to catch up on MVs and albums, film bonus drops (DO NOT put them on the schedule or announce them in any way whatsoever) and to take the necessary steps to get your mental health in order. Then you can try and make your moves towards the music industry. I want you to succeed. I really do. But in order for that to work, you need to fundamentally change the way you run this Patreon and your Youtube channel. Speaking of your Youtube channel, please let them know what's going on. They got absolute radio silence for months and then over 40 videos dumped on them all at once a few weeks ago. Just put out an update in the community tab. It's the least you can do.

melody

Hey PD! Big fan for years and recently decided to sub on patreon earlier this month. Can't wait to see you post videos on YOUR own accord and I'll be here to watch them. As for the handful of subs I see here in the comments, filling this with their grievances, pay no mind. The essays are out of touch and unnecessary. It seems they are entitled to tell you how to do your job and how to carry yourself. There will always be people who are unhappy with change. To assume you would never change the way you put out content is beyond unreasonable. Do you and and dont let the parasocial chatters get to you :)

Thabit Ayob

Sorry, but not planning to watch anoyher update. But from the comments first starbucks is not cool anymore, they fund ongoing genocide. Next time i see a starbucks on this patreon I'm never coming back. Second, i am sorry i am barely trying to support MY dreams and family's. Not other people. I'm here for the content especially anime club and sometimes drama club. I'm a fan of YOUR reactions, I'd be happy if the money i pay helps you get to your dreams ofc and I'd be here for life updates from time to time when content is coming out. But when there's no content, i really don't want to receive 20 notifications about schedule and life updates when i think it's some long awaited reaction. I really love your reactions, but that's exactly the point. Merry Christmas everyone. N.B: Blaire you look nice and cute hihih

Chrome

You wanna be seen so bad LMAO and we are entitled to tell him how to do his job when he doesn't even know how to do his job LMAOO get real

kimie

Unfortunate and upsetting. As many others have mentioned before yes it is shitty that you have to film over Christmas but if you fulfilled your schedule as planned you could probably have this week off. I’ve been apart of this Patreon since 2020 and never unsubscribed during all the months of broken promises and trying to find yourself. I did unsubscribe this past week though due to no communication and basically no accountability. You’re very privileged to have the community you have here supporting you and although I wish you both the best I can no longer be a part of it. Even if all the content miraculously comes out this week I won’t be able to watch it due to the busy holiday. I’m thankful for all the good times I was able to spend watching the videos and enjoying your reactions. That’s what I was here for. To see the excitement about the music and all your insights. I’ll still tune in on YouTube if anything ever makes it there! Good luck to all my fellow patrons and I hope the future is a little brighter moving forward.

km

will not be subscribing after this month. maybe will check in a few to see if things actually change but i still very much have my doubts. never wish the worst but have to be realistic as we’ve very much seen this before (many many times). good luck to the both of you.

Sav

It says a lot when there almost 400 comments on their last update with 99% being upset patrons. It’s a service that many pick and choose who they can sub to each month, and this is by far the most expensive with such a small percentage of promised content uploaded. I don’t go grocery shopping and get half of my purchases removed after paying.

melody

oh? seems like you need to prioritize your funds and not use that to guilt trip the content creator! best wishes, and hopefully the handful of you in in post can see that is your choice whether or not you want to continue to sub. but it is the creators choice with changes to the content. and guess what, life changes and things dont go to plan. but this is a miniscule part of life and to egg PD on this is pathetic.

Violet Joo

Pd but for you what's the difference between a patreon, a subscriber and a fan? Does being a fan means to accept everything you do? I don't wanna be mean but I really don't know what are you talking about. Most of patreons, fans and subscribers come from Yt to see your content. We all pay an amount of money for it. When you didn't have an schedule everyone was okay with it, there was some inconsistency but at that time you really didn't promise anything and your tiers were way cheaper. But then schedules were going up and tiers were up and people started to expect you to stick to it. As you talk about fans, kpop fans and other fans in the world expect certain things from their artist. For example, kpop artist say: our album will come this specific day and fans buy it and expect the album come at an certain date. The album is released and you hear their music and they get paid for it. IF that artist is late or the album is not good enough then you hear them complain about it and if they don't acknowlegde it then they lose fans. This so call relationship is in no way a free relationship and it is not a one way relationship. Me, I have followed you since 2016 I think, way before patreon and back then you were only in yt and you did things sporadically and noone was mad at you because they didn't expect nothing from you, we didn't pay for your content and that's why if there was no content noone was mad. Pd you said you will be treating this patreon like a business but now you are saying that people are making you do things you don't wanna do. Well sometimes you have to suck it up and do things you don't wanna do because you promised that you'll do it. If you don't wanna do certain things then just don't promise anything. Your business may suffer some consequences but then you'll be happy. PD it is really insane that people come here and give you money and you can pay your bills when a lot of these people are barely paying their bills. They pay these amount of money to see your content and you telling all these things sometimes just feels unfair. Please take those 2 months, don't upload anything and just take care of you and your family, update things on patreon, reupload the content that is not working, take time for your body and mental health, really rethink what you want for this patreon and come with a more realistic filming schedule.

ghoulshima

this might as well be PD on an alt account LMAO. why are you babying a grown ass man? how are WE the ones guilt-tripping HIM? he lies time and time again and never takes accountability, instead always talking about how shit his mental health is in an attempt to make us feel bad, no way you’re this eager to defend that 😭 he wants to become a producer, he wants to create his own kpop group. how is he gonna do that when he can’t even manage his own patreon? 💀

SenifyLeah

I am simply disappointed. I guess there's nothing more to say, since words don't do much good here. Nevertheless: Merry Christmas PD and Blaire

Stephanie Dockery

Here’s my reason why I’m a fan and support of you. Growing up as little kid, I had divided family with step mom & step dad ! My step mom always didn’t treat me very well growing until my dad divorce her then started to try to be nice to me cuz I was no longer here step kid. And as kid had to take shots the help me grow cuz Growth hormone deficiency ), also known as dwarfism or pituitary dwarfism, is a condition caused by insufficient amounts of growth hormone in the body. But I’m still pretty short so taking those shots one of side effect cuz depression . I been dealing with since I’m was a teenager . But when I got older I have been getting more anxiety over planes , loud noises , stressful situations stuff I use not affect younger . I have Also been dealing similar dark thoughts you really helped me along with Kpop as whole been my savior . I love your videos bc I feel like one best reactor bc you have know a lot or insights about video production and Korean language . I love energy you put into reacting you don’t act like a lot of other rector who just does it for views , money , don’t know anyone in the group or about the groups. I get that new groups debuting so hard know all of them . I know how hard you work for us and I really want you to please take time for yourself and Blair as well . Remember always focus on your mental health because ur health should always come first before us we will always / always be here especially those who are supporting you for you or just fans of you. I don’t care how long you take , I know healing / recovery is very hard but will be awarding for you. Merry Christmas to you and Blair. ( p.s congrats on pregnancy Blair . Please take care yourself too and make sure you get plenty of rest . I know how hard it is and can be will be pregnant . I’m really happy for y’all. You deserves happiest and loving rest of your life . Im happy for you PD that you get have some of dreams you want coming true . Which is a family. Love y’all !! And I wanted meet guys when I was in Las Vegas in October but I never reached out to y’all but I didn’t want make y’all feel awkward .😬)

Marcel Wannieck

I gave it a bit more thought and have come up with a more detailed suggestion for a potential weekly schedule. Monday: one episode of girl group variety, one episode of boy group variety, one episode of a general variety show with rotating guests. That's three videos on that day. You can cycle through different variety shows week by week but what's important is that you never do more than those three videos. Tuesday: One or two boy group listening parties. That's two videos at most. Wednesday: One episode of a survival show. And it's important that you keep yourself to only one survival show at a time. Thursday: One or two girl group listening parties. Again, that's two videos at most. Friday: One Kdrama episode and two anime episodes. Obviously that would be a bit complicated to implement right away as you have so many shows running concurrently right now. But when you finish one of your current shows, please don't replace it with a new show. Just leave it. Until you can get down to those three weekly episodes of Drama and Anime Club. With this kind of schedule, your weekly scheduled output would look like this: 3 on Monday 2 on Tuesday 1 on Wednesday 2 on Thursday 3 on Friday And nothing on the weekends. Bonus drops like live stages, performance videos, etc. would just come out whenever you happen to film them and not be announced on any schedule post. To me that seems far more sustainable than what you have going on right now.

shye

guys the boycott--

ian

We just want what we're promised so that we have a reason to continue supporting. Everyone here on the Patreon has subscribed for the very first time at some point, there's a REASON that we choose to do so especially when it comes at a price. Those reasons could be different for everyone, but it's something that YOU specifically provide to us that we come here for each time we click a video. Subscribing brings in revenue for you and gives us the content that is promised to us, well that's how it's supposed to work at least. That's been the biggest issue with this Patreon for years, BROKEN PROMISES. When things are set in place on a schedule, it's normal to expect to receive whatever it is on that day. Yes life happens, but over here it seems like it's starts an avalanche of reschedules where things get changed completely when something gets missed. You've address the need for help and brought the idea of Street Team to the table but there's been no progress or even updates at all. WE WANT TO HELP YOU, this is why there's been constant asking of Street Team. You've addressed the problem and know the solution, but why not execute it? I TRULY want you to succeed with your dreams, but after so many broken promises and trust barely being there, you can't expect the majority to be there to back you.

Sav

I said some people, not me 😭 I was trying to explain the frustrations in a kinder way than others but it seems you’re set on fighting instead of replying maturely. Hope you have the day you deserve.

maya k

this video is basically the same as every other update/apology hybrid video you've posted over the years: convoluted, redundant, and not addressing the actual root of the issue. you always harp about needing a break and no one has ever told you to not take one. last month was literally a break month? on top of that, just earlier this year you promised that you would never put something on the schedule if it wasn't already prefilmed and then went back on that statement in less than a month. it is actually laughable how you take advantage of your "fans" who are quite literally monthly paying customers that are paying your bills. you use your personal life and mental health as excuses and it is extremely manipulative and belittling. i can't even say i am surprised by how far this is gone but it is still so disappointing. as a subscriber and patron for 3+ years i can make a promise that i will actually keep unlike your constant empty promises: i will not be returning. also the starbucks is a very shitty move. read the room.

sunnyside

so here's the thing. i've been a regular here for years. i've left a few times for financial reasons but usually come back for long stretches of a time! i find your content extremely engaging. i've also been extremely vocal with critique previously. hell, i've left critique and then left positive comments engaging with your content right after! i like your stuff, dude. i'm autistic and queer and i get how shitty life is especially this time of year, and this time of year you definitely always struggle more. you need to cut down on content even more than you have previously. stop announcing and promising bonus drops and just drop them so there's less to mess up. cut your drama/anime/variety content to one at a time. minimize your shit. focus on the big pulls ie kpop music. work on your youtube channel being better managed. i do think you made a lot of good progress this year! i honestly do! but in the past couple of months you've backslid hard. and i get it. it happens. but boy, is it rough. also this is going to sound extremely harsh but please think hard about this. do not go into kpop producing in terms of groups and managing and working with artists. i've been thinking about this since you posted it. you can't even manage yourself properly, please don't fuck with most likely young kids who would be hopeful and reliant on you. absolutely pursue producing or whatever in your free time but you have never once shown anything that would point to you being able to work with other people managing them. in fact, you've shown the opposite. i think you could work in a more hands off manner if you went to therapy and worked a ton on your time management issues, but you should absolutely not be in a primary management position for other people. to be frank with you i likely will cancel membership after this month. i'm not saying i won't come back ever, but likely a few months out when you hopefully have stockpiled content and i can see what i miss. you're at a point where even people who've been critical but given leeway because they like your content and generally do tend to like you aren't going to want to support you anymore. i like you! i also make far less money than you ever will and as swell as i'm sure you are, i'm here for the content and not because i think you're swell. that's just a bonus! i do genuinely wish you guys happy holidays. take a break if you must but be extremely open about it PUBLICLY so people arent subbed here unknowingly. and don't be wishywashy about it, take a REAL break and focus on therapy and life management skills. it's never too late to make improvements. please take care of yourselves.

Jay

idk whats worse ignoring majority of the issue your patrons have been having recently or blatantly toting around starbucks

also- the lack of actually addressing things is laughable. some of us have been here for 4-5 years and yet you seem to have no problem taking advantage of us. almost 400 comments of us asking very reasonable questions and wanting warranted clarification. mental health is a very valid reason to struggle but at this point in your career i think it’s best to assess if it’s right path for you. no one is trying to belittle you or say mental health issues aren’t real but if you can’t fulfill you job it might just not be the right one. i understand that you’ll always have some support so maybe that’s why you refuse to actually address the rest of us, but think of the people who helped you get your start. you’ve abandoned your youtube community and it seems the same thing is happening here. i find it a little bit narcissistic that you deem yourself so much better than other reactors who put out high quality content consistently and treat their supporters far better. anyway seeing how you have an extremely easy time ignoring the actual issues with this channel im sure my comment will just die off with the other ones. To Blaire, thank you for working so hard throughout your pregnancy. you’ve been a joy to see in the reactions and i’ve loved watching you get into groups more and more. congrats on the baby and best of luck to you❤️

no addressing about our replies and why people are unhappy ?

Ty for the update and I truly do wish the both of you have an amazing holiday!! The impression I get is that patreon is now a sort of stepping stone into what you actually want to do. Like how some people will work regular jobs to support/fund their hobbies or passions. Thankfully for you, your 'day job' of reacting is something you enjoy. I just hope you understand that you still need to also put some tangible effort into the current job you have. Its fine for a job to just be tool to support your passions/future endeavors, but the job still has to get done.

cy

Hey PD, I've been a long-time supporter of yours - I started watching videos on your channel in 2016 and I like your content enough to start supporting you on patreon since last year when I started to be able to afford it. In this time, I've seen you overcome so much shit in your life and all I can say is PLEASE TAKE A BREAK once all Dec content is done and dusted. Not just for one or two months, but however long you need to - even if it's for several months, a year even. Please take the time to settle into your new home, take care of Blaire while she's pregnant, and heal from whatever traumatising things that have happened to you. 1 or 2 months is very little time considering how much you want to do even if you exclude patreon content. Many patreons have been incredibly understanding of the ups and downs of your mental health and the resulting delays - we get that sometimes life just fucks us over in completely unexpected ways. The core of the problem is that you overload too much on your plate, and then create even more work for yourself when you inevitably break promises. If you think about it from a normal working standpoint - running your patreon as it is right now is like a 9-5/8-6 job that regularly forces you to do OT work. A regular person working those hours would barely have enough time to move houses, attend hospital visits etc. all while working full-time. What they do instead is take leave (even if it's unpaid) to attend to all these matters. I've had my struggles here and there and I was so fucking depressed in 2021 that I constantly failed to meet deadlines for my schoolwork and extracurricular responsibilites because of how burnt out I was. It is now end 2023 and it's only recently when I feel like I've gotten to a place where I can start working/studying full-time after taking 1.5 years off (no studying, working a minimum wage job with extremely flexible days). If your finances are all set, I would highly encourage you to do take the time and process such traumatic events (really, two months is barely enough time to heal completely). Your reactions have been a great source of healing for me and kpop is quite a lonely hobby without you - when I watch your videos it feels like I'm sharing all this excitement with a friend. Many patreons here genuinely care about you and your wellbeing, which is why we even bother commenting on all these posts even if the advice and feedback is harsh. I really hope you take the time to understand and evaluate the problems with your current workflow and take as much time as you need to come back even better and stronger. PS: for LPs, there's no need to read all the credits out. Maybe you could just take a quick look at the tracklist and only point out (without researching anything else) anything interesting names on the list you recognise. For example, for 'Cover Me' on SKZ's rockstar album, you could just mention that Hyunjin is the main producer for that song (rather than 3RACHA) rather than go through all the credits.

PD, I am super empathetic about your mental health struggles. I struggle a lot with my mental health too and I understand how debilitating it can be at times. That being said, I find that at every update, your explanation as to why things are not going as expected is due to your mental health. At a certain point, you need to start realizing that if mental health is constantly and frequently the reason why doing Patreon, aka your job, is so difficult, you need to get yourself the proper help. Like I said, I struggle with my mental health a lot too and I connected with you at first because of this. But nowadays I feel like it's always the same thing. "I can't do X because of my mental health." As a Patreon, I'm starting to feel very exhausted with this because there is nothing else we can do but be patient while you try to sort out your mental health issues. But patience can only go so far which is why you need to take the initiative to take care of your mental health. That means going to counselors/therapists, and if you already are, then maybe you need to go more often or discuss a change of plan with your healthcare team. Think of it like this PD. If content creation was not your job, then imagine working a regular 9-5 job and having your mental health cause so many issues that it is beginning to interfere with your work performance. That is not normal and it should not be brushed off easily. I'm sure you and I can both agree that you get a lot more leniency with this job than with any other job. This job holds a tremendous amount of privilege and freedom and as Patreons, we just want you to at least acknowledge this. PD, we do not dislike you or wish you harm. We simply want an apology because this has been going on for a long time with little to no progress on your part. We are left in the dark for long periods and left wondering what is happening. You need to be more transparent with your Patreons. Increase your communication with us. A lot of people would probably be a lot more understanding of your current issues if you just communicated to us more frequently. People are paying money to watch your reactions because you *are* unique and you *are* special. You bring a fresh and new perspective to K-pop reactions and we are highly appreciative of this. We simply want answers, some sort of acknowledgment of "Hey I hear you guys and I want to fix this". I wish you a Merry Christmas regardless of my frustrations and disappointment.

Kayleejay

Thank you for the update and happy holidays you guys! I’m not sure what this all means for the Patreon going forward as I feel like there is a bit more that needs to be addressed here to gain trust back. I know you’ve said you are going to be pushing forward with your dreams of breaking into the entertainment industry so you aren’t going to be focusing on this Patreon the same way anymore. That’s the only reason I can think of as to why nothing else is being addressed. But honestly I think you’re trying to make a long term goal into a short term goal and abandoning this Patreon is probably not in your best interest if you want to move forward with your dream. I genuinely believe you are so capable of turning this into a lucrative business and even a company that extends outside of just reactions. For an example the Try Guys have their own company where they produce content outside of just trying things and have different series and podcasts and such and I think you are one of the few kpop reactors who are capable of building a business like that in the kpop sphere. Obviously that’s not your dream goal but I do think it’s something to consider and has the potential to be more creatively fulfilling than reactions in the long run. The problem with that is that you would obviously need to hire a team and I know you’ve had problems with that in the past. I have no doubt you are a capable leader when you need to be but I feel like you don’t have a “business” mindset. You definitely seem like more of a creative individual who needs guidance to produce results. You at least need a content manager. I’m sure it’s very difficult for you to let go of the reigns in regards to your work a bit but this is my advice to you if you want to move forward with this Patreon. I know this must have been a difficult year for you both and I rooting for you guys in the future! Thanks again for making this community and I hope one day you can get back on the path to happiness and success! Happy holidays!

Wiktor

Hey PD and Blaire! Merry Christler and a Happy New Year to you both!!! 🍾 Thank you for your hard work this year! You have been a great place of joy and escapism for myself! Excited for the next year with you both! Make sure you rest up and spend this treasured time of the year with your loved ones and focus on yourselves a bit. I’ve saved a lot of the anime club episodes 😆 gonna be a fun Christmas break catching up!!! Thank you again!

diorhee

Hope to see you face the same frustrations we all have then with the way the Patreon is being done sooner or later lmao

Sami Casingal

Wow I kind of have so much to tackle in my response to this video that I don’t even want to type it at all but it needs to be said. Firstly, mental health unless finding a definite solution that will help you, will almost always recur so I think that needs to be a long-term factor when considering Patreon especially if you don’t plan on a therapist or other outside help. Second, your dreams are lovely and I hope you can make them come true and succeed, but because your dreams are so big and ambitious, Patreon is no longer going to be a focus and will shift to being more of a hobby in your free time probably. Not saying you should give up on your dreams because even dreaming that big and actually trying to make them come true is truly noteworthy and something you should be proud of even if you fail trying. Some of us don’t have the luxury of dreaming that big or even being able to have a plan to execute it and live the lives we always wanted, me included. Not that I don’t have a dream and mine is pretty simple, but I don’t have any plan on how to achieve it nor do I even have a plan after I graduate from college in 2 years. So I kind of feel like I’m lost in life and just going in circles constantly. But back to my point, I just hope you don’t place such heavy importance on Patreon if it no longer requires full or even just most of your attention because that’s not how I see how this is starting to play out and in the end, it’ll just hurt you and us patrons even more without some solution in place. Third, at least for me and probably a lot of us here, it’s not that we don’t support your dreams or wishes, it’s that we can’t afford supporting two lives basically - y’all’s and our own - and we also gotta figure out and navigate our own life situations and sht as well. It’s hard to multitask on such a grand scale that’s pretty unforgiving if we can’t survive life ourselves. Fourth, I never really cared about the credits for the LPs so do what you want with those. Fifth, honestly I feel like not even 2 months is enough of a break for you given how your mental health keeps on getting back at you and all of these incidents that gave you the short end of the stick. Although I’d be sad, I think a whole year off to get yourself better situated and maybe think of better plans for this Patreon going forward would help a little more than just 2 months. And sixth, I’m all 3. In a subscriber, a patron, and a fan. I’ll be supporting and wishing you the best every step of the way but it may only transition to verbal support and encouragement very soon as I’m not made of money. I’m also a patron and subscriber who follows specific content that we can indirectly bond over because we both like it. As for my reason for continuing this journey and always looking forward to your reactions, i have noticed how some reactors just sit in front of the camera watching whatever content with little to no input. If they do add their input, it basic comments that you’d hear on a daily basis from the general public and nothing really insightful. Other reactors add insightful comments and show genuine reactions, but not on the same scale as you do. You usually seem to add this philosophical twist to your comments which I really dig. I’m an extreme thinker, so your comments are really thought provoking and gets me questioning things or exposes me to perspectives I might never consider on my own. I sometimes get philosophical myself, so at least for me, it’s like finally seeing someone who’s like me in that regard and outs more thought, maybe sometimes too much, into literally everything but I think that in some cases adds another layer/depth to the conversation/analysis you provide. I also believe you truly are one of the most knowledgeable reactors I’ve ever known and even probably considering reactors I don’t know as well. You view content in a holistic sense and it really leaves very few gaps in your analysis which also contributes to your professionalism to reacting. I feel a sense of fulfillment from you and your reactions that leave me satisfied compared to so many other reactors, which becomes addicting to come back to.

Josh Kalmikoff

Why I am a fan of you: Watching you react to things is like the best parts of hanging out with a friend who has the same interests as you. You and Blaire have a wonderful ability to inspire comradeship with people who you will probably never meet. Merry Christmas!

Brooklyn

PD, as someone who has been following you for nearly six years and has been a Patron for almost 4, I’m gonna try and keep my first comment on this situation polite. Having big future goals and dreams is good, and breaking it down into actionable steps is good. But the way you’ve been breaking it down is not into actionable steps - they are all big life adjustments happening all at once and which must service each other in order for the next one to work. And so when life inevitably happens, which of course we all understand, it creates this horrible domino effect that takes a huge toll on your health, your time, and your finances. And during all of that you keep making work promises to us. Sometimes you’ve got to take risks in life, but at this point, something’s gotta give. Taking a month off to pre-film isn’t taking a month off. Taking a single month off and then attempting to play catch up on what you missed isn’t taking time off. As a self-diagnosed autistic person myself, I have been exploring the concept of autistic burnout. All of these things you’re doing lead to burnout, because the “rest” you are taking isn’t rest. It’s prolonging of what needs to happen, and from personal experience even just the thought of what I’ll eventually have to do weighs so heavy on my mind it’s like I never took the break at all. PD, stop promising. Take this time you have before the baby arrives to get what you need to get done (film content, create a two-three month lightened schedule, sort out the tiers, move), and then when the baby arrives take two months at least off in their entirety. No work promises, no pre-filming, no future-planning, and no trying to catch up on missed content from before when you get back. I truly hope you’re able to take time to reset. I don’t have all the answers, but I hope you find a system that works for you. But until that time that you not only think of that system but also have tried it out and seen success, stop promising what you know in your heart you cannot fulfill. For us, and for you. I am lucky to be in a financial situation to continue to support you, and I truly hope to eventually see some sort of normalcy and stability form for you. Also please stop supporting Starbucks (they sued their unions for supporting Palestine and are now suspected of paying idols to appear with the product). Happy holidays and all the best.

MilleB

Thank you for being so transparent and honest with us. I have been a fan of yours since my sophomore year in highschool in 2016. I kept coming back to you for your reactions, but I soon found myself watching your short films, your livestreams, and all your other parts. I became a patreon member last year because I wanted more from you. Your personality when you get excited or when you are amazed by something is my favorite. I am so beyond excited to see where this dream of yours takes you! Thank you for everything!❤️

Isabella

thanks for some clarification, the weekly schedule is the best way that you can deal with patreon now, also please besides the dramas and anime FOR THE LOVE OF GOD only put what you will actually be able to record, don't make that mistake again most people here were very disappointed and they have all the right to be. so to be avoided, just be realistic with your patrons. GET STREET TEAM TO HELP YOU

Christa

I just wanna be real, I genuinely don’t believe you are doing what u need to be doing for your mental health. I’ve been watching ur content for over a year now and I’ve seen your life updates and I know pieces of what you’ve been struggling with and are currently going through. Idk if you are on meds or see a therapist (it doesn’t seem like you are currently from my observation with the way u talk ab urself and ur consistent relapses), but I think u don’t stress enough about how important that is. Regardless of mental illness and life experiences and traumatic events, we are all human. We can’t do everything ourselves, we can’t help ourselves and fix our problems on our own. I know Blaire and the people u surround urself with are definitely a big part in assisting in that, but that’s not a good enough solution. We all need outside help and especially if u are dealing mental health problems and trauma so significantly that it affects ur day to day. Of course I understand that recovery from trauma is not easy and u can’t talk about some of it, but there are still some things you can battle with help, like ur future and balancing ur life. Therapy is a good start and if u are open to it (also speaking like you aren’t medicated I’m not sure) medications are a huge part of assisting with that extra step of recovery. Some of us just can’t function on our own I suffer from severe depression and anxiety for over 8 years now and have a long history of mental illness in my family and it’s a genetic chemical imbalance; there’s no fixing that medication is needed every day and I’ve grown to accept that. I really think looking into therapy or life coaches (someone on the outside) to help you with managing ur work and life is so important. Ur juggling too much and promising too much and it’s clear you need outside help in this. U can’t be a good leader without helping yourself first so then u can help others, it’s a bit selfish to not. If you’re not helping yourself, it affects everyone around you. You can see how frustrated and upset everyone is bc of the consistent broken promises for these couple of months and then radio silence without any updates. You can’t do that working an office job or managing or working at a company. You might think that you are burdening us, but more communication is so important and needed since we are the ones paying ur bills; it’s unfair to us to be left completely in the dark most of the time. We all are understanding people and want the best for u, but seeing you fall apart without getting proper help or support from anyone is frustrating to watch. For the future, having the team help with fixing and publishing content seemed like such a good idea and I wish you went through with it and will continue to. I really hope this breaks through to you because there’s only so much we can deal with when it comes to continuing to support you and help you with ur future. You deserve to feel content and satisfied with where ur life is headed. Enjoy ur Christmas. 🎄 ❤️

tanasia

i’ll just say, as someone that’s been a patreon for almost three years, it seems to me like creating a schedule each month does more harm than good for everyone in the situation (pd, blaire, and the patreons)

Liv

I am so here as a fan, I still remember and think of myself as a Groupy here for Form of Therapy in all the different versions across the years, been here since start of YouTube and been an autumn patron for a few years now and since the beginning why I stayed was the amount of CARE and PASSION behind your insight to media + a lot of that media across the board aligns with my interests I’m someone who cares about this content to a fault and it is so refreshing to have someone who is on that level of passion and go insane about the content—I love the rants, I love the pulling from all different sectors of life, it’s the kind of conversations I want to be having Idk how to NOT care to this extent, I CANT be casual about Kpop, anime, dramas, when I’m down for something I’m in deep and I appreciate the insight you can give More than anything though, when people have a vision and especially a unique artistic voice I want to support them wholeheartedly; I will support people who want to achieve their dreams genuinely (as my uncontrollable watching of K-pop survival shows will testify ☠️) and for Jaehyuk PD especially I want to see these ideas come into fruition, it’s the kind of things I always wished for in the industry and I really want to help make it happen & wish for the best health for Jaehyuk PD and Blaire I truly believe in the vision and want Jaehyuk PD to pursue these goals and not regard the fans opinions in the best way possible Gratitude is good to have but I came and stayed bc I trust Jaehyuk PDs voice and any reactions or pursuits should be done out of personal fulfillment even if the fans want to see different shows or different reactions—I think this will be more sustainable in terms of putting out stuff + will cultivate a more dedicated fan base that is respectful of Jaehyuk PDs art, willing to follow and actually become interested in the product even if fans personal preferences aren’t the priority If I were to compare to music, BTS does perform for the fans and is dedicated to such a degree for the fans BUT they still pursue their own artistic journeys and methods; it’s easy to fault to people pleasing and the fans will often not know what’s best, what’s important is that if it’s a product YOURE proud of then that will be very appealing to viewers Even if it takes months off reactions and posting I will support regardless, I am lucky to be in a position to do so but even if tiers are cut down I will still donate autumn bc I believe in Form of Therapy and see it as a worthwhile investment for personal contentment and for the culture at large Best of luck Jaehyuk PD and Blaire, I will be rooting for all your endeavors!! 💕

Nell ♡

i started out as a fan and i wanted to support you more thats why i became a patreon. but its hard to stay a fan when commitments arent followed through and its just false promises over false promises. i like your contents but i do like your insight on most of the contents more because when you say something like "oh this part is making me fell like this" or " this is the idea that this song gives me" it usually lines up with my own. but its not like i can keep supporting you through things when im starting to dee a pattern of you starting up new things that you cant keep up with and you end up jeopardizing your flow with the stuff that you already have going on. like you keep adding onto your plate when you already have so many stuff that you have started and are not close to finishing at all. you should definitely cut down on variety and drama/anime as much as i look forward to them. because according to your words if producing is your dream you really need to stay in touch with current releases and not be like 3 to 4 months late as always these are suggestions but you guys really need to get it together

Isabella

also waiting for the release of Moving !!

Winter Rian ~

So it seems that according to the comments it’s exactly the kind of video that people predicted. I personally don’t need another philosophical rambling about life, dreams and mental health without addressing the root and core issues on this patreon. It’s just so incredibly unrealistic. Dreams are not goals, there is a difference. All this stuff just sounds like a broken record to me that keeps repeating itself. And at this point I won’t fall for any promises anymore. I‘m rather convinced by actions and punctuality/reliability so let’s see if we get another post like this (in video or text form) in the near future or if there’s actually going to be a positive change going forward Edit: Did you really say this patreon isn’t your priority? People are joking right? Somebody please correct me. WOW everything makes sense now, no wonder this thing here isn’t working. Your main source of income btw doing a very privileged job. ALSO the audacity. I don’t get why you are complaining that you need to film, when you guys put yourself into this position in the first place while we pay at the first for every month. You basically get all the money before you even start working, don’t you think you‘re taking this for granted? Also nice guilt tripping there with how we are the ones who force you to react to stuff. Its surely not like we pay for a service every month cause this is a business and you yourself said you want to make this as professional as it can get and are also making the schedule yourself. Setting expectations, not fulfilling them and then blaming the people who pay you their money…

feli

Are you unaware of the major Starbucks boycott at the moment? Just wondering

Peikoririn

I’m confused, just from the comments alone I see that apparently PD is complaining about having to film during Christmas.. why did.. you guys lie.. and say November was a filming month and PD was prefilming which is one of the reasons why he took the break? I’m just SO confused of the constant lies that you guys never address 😭

nins

So you say this patreon isn’t a priority and that you are forcing yourself to film but yet you still want to keep this patreon and it’s still your main source of income?? So you want the reward while complaining about the lackluster effort and not fulfilling the expectations you create and guilt tripping people who give you constructive criticism🧍‍♀️and you don’t address our actual concerns (the need to fix the broken links, be consistent, update your about page, make schedule updates public, etc.) 🧍‍♀️Even if the people here supporting you were only here because they are your fans, even fans have expectations, and no one would be a fan of a kpop group if they constantly postponed music and then guilt tripped anyone who left. Insanity. Even fans have expectations. I hope you realize that.

Annemc022

I’m sorry but where’s the content? Will it be pushed again? Idk I might ask for a refund atp

Thabit Ayob

I do agree with you on everything. However for the plan, i really don't want to pay 25 or 30 euros per month for 1 anime and one drama since I'm only here for the anime club and only sometimes the drama club. So he really will have to cut the prices either way. Even at this stage it's already too expensive let alone after cutting all that content. I think he doesn't want to lose that extra income and understands that if he cuts the content for his mental health he'll need to sacrifice the money which apparently he's not ready for yet. Hence why we have all these issues

flowerbit

merry christmas! And I hope you will be able to heal from the experience you went through several weeks ago. I wish you both lots of happiness and good health for the new year!! ❤️ also going into the new year, I just think it would be best to let go of schedules all together!! Perhaps a loose overview of what u plan to react to like “ there will be reactions for [name(s)] anime, [name(s)] drama, at least a few listening parties, with guarantee of some variety sprinkled throughout. These will all be released through the month, and we’ll update you on the releases as they happen”. considering your new move, the incoming of a new family member which will change the whole dynamic of your lives, and newly invigorated career goals, i really think it’s best not to overpromise or perhaps even promise anything! With all of these HUGE life changes, you’re going to run into a lot of unexpected things and sudden daily changes. I personally believe in a way of expecting less and being pleasantly surprised when given more, compared to the opposite. I think it would be good for the health and satisfaction of u and Blaire + patrons alike for things to be more that way! I understand the purpose of schedules (wanting to inform patrons why they might be interested in watching the upcoming months content), but I think that a loose overview of what to expect would be just as effective for most people and would help everyone be able to set realistic expectations. I’ve been a big fan and a patron for over 3 years now and I’m happy to be here! I’m not just here for the content, I stick around for your guys thoughts and personalities, and I also believe in your future goals!! So I just wish only good things for you in the new year

Alya

We are not your playground. This is a job, and pushing yourself is not uncommon, that is what working is. This is a patreon I pay the most for and this is the patreon that gives me the most negative feelings. I don't understand why you yet again promise to give us more when you haven't given us the things you already promised. I am sorry, but apologizing doesn't mean anything if you have to apologize for the same things time and time again with no change.

Marcel Wannieck

Obviously, cutting the prices down with this kind of schedule change would be a given. But they absolutely have to reduce their schedule if they want any hope at achieving consistency.

SenifyLeah

I just came back after sleeping a few hours and this topic won’t leave my head (that’s how invested I am a you and Blaire and your Patreon, haha). I am still disappointed. You know why the comments are loud enough. But first and foremost: BLAIRE!! I am so happy to hear you’re pregnant! I wish the baby all the best in the world. I DO love you PD but that’s why the disappointment hits harder, right? I looked through the comments and most of them are from people who have supported you for years (me included). So technically, yes. We’re fans of yours. I am a fan of you. I am a fan of your reactions, I am a fan of your creations. But if you don’t react or create what am I a fan of? I refuse to be a fan of I-am-sorry-videos. So there’s that… But I am Curious: What’s with the street team? A lot of us have written an application to you, I think. Me included because I thought I might be able to help. It’s okay if I didn’t meet the criteria but did nobody hit them? And what I really want to know: Do you remember you fundraising for the “survival show” of yourself in Korea? Living with only x money for the day and do missions? I was such a fan of this idea but it never happened. I think you might have been busy in Korea and had other stuff in mind than your indies you raised money from. But did anyone get their money back for financing content that never happened? Or was there at least a statement I haven’t seen or something? Ha..the situation is so frustrating and sad. Work doesn’t have to be your 1st priority in life. But at the end of the day it’s what keeps you and your family alive. I am working in the marketing field and I have deadlines. When I do what, the client (it’s a big Japanese one) doesn’t care they only care that it’s done by deadline. I don’t think you can meet your deadlines for whatever reasons. So here is my tip: if you want to tell us beforehand something that will come out the month: only tell the groups. Not how what, not how many videos. Then go, write a timetable for YOURSELF. And not a right one or not which video when. Just look at the bands you promised and write: 1st week of the month: film group x and y and anime z, 2nd week: film group a and b and drama c And so on. This way you can decide on the content for the group the moment you film. You can even should the groups and anime/ drama around if you want to watch something else. Keep it for you and the patreons as free as possible And just maybe make a statement about the groups you’re interested in and that you want to see content of. That way everyone can decide whether they stay or not. I rambled so much again although I didn’t want to..

Artist37

I swear, at this point I feel like I need 6 months refunded to me, because let's be real, youve been absent and barely done the bare minimum (if that at times) to keep this patreon going (seriously how hard is it to sit down and watch a few MVs every day?). Which sucks, cause as fans we WANT to see the content you make, which is part of why we pay and help fund it... But when you cant even fulfill that basic role of your job and just continue to make excuses and milk your fans I don't know why anybody, Including myself continue to support this behavior. The thing is we want to help and want to see things get better... That's why so many people Including myself sent in applications for the Street Team (with how critical I've been I doubt you would even consider me anymore) but you did ask for us to be critical and hold you accountable, but nothing changes. I hope this time is the wake-up call you actually pay attention to.

blue

I’m not really in the mood to watch the whole video but I am curious about the refunds. Are they refunding everyone for this month or only refunding those who reaches out for it? I only renewed my monthly subscription because of the initial schedule posted and seeing my favorite artists in the list but since its’s already the 25th and no content yet and the schedule is not being followed, Im wondering if I should just get a refund because 10 dollars is still a big amount for me and I regret spending it on this because the schedule was not followed accordingly :((

I really hope that the amount of people who decided to unsubscribe from your patreon this month (we'll be able to see it January 1st) is enough for you to register how serious these issues and complaints are. This is my third comment on this post alone (all with different points that I remembered throughout the day) and everytime I read the comments I learn about something new that needs to be focused on. Because what do you mean (according to SenifyLeah's comment on this post) that you raised money for potential content that never ended up going through and you may not have refunded the money? What?

Audrey_Horne

this is my biggest confusion, i really thought they took november to prefilm. so when he was talking about being annoyed at having to film through december it just made no sense to me... unless hes prefilming for jan?? and he still says he wants to take 2 months off..... what a joke

emchant22

Well Merry Christmas PD - thanks for the update... I'm still disappointed in how everything has gone down this month, but I hope you are both able to take some time and enjoy the holidays together and with your loved ones. Christmas is over for me here in Australia so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I might have a late Christmas surprise and finally have some SKZ variety to watch when I wake up tomorrow.

Alsaaa

Well, This way IDK If I am sure I want to keep paying 20$ plus every month just for promises, Frustrations and no answers! Like It's not easy money, I hope you do take care but also Act Responsible,

Ugne Jablonskyte

Merry Christmas to both of you and your families!❤️

Sven Lenders

Okay PD, I'll keep it short because you'll already have enough comments to read. I think it's a good idea to instead of saying something is coming on a certain day to say earlier that people can expect something within the month, that gives you more room to schedule it for yourself. I think interaction with your Patreons is one of the main points of the current situation. By keeping radio silence for a long time, people don't know what to expect. Among other things, announce in time that you are going to take a break and then take that time. The reason why I am subscribing to you I stated earlier and I will post it in the comment below.

Sven Lenders

I will briefly tell why I became a patreon to show why I chose you. I actually find that most other reactors make videos for the fame they get from it or because they just like the music. You on the other hand grabbed my attention from the first moment. Someone who brings something extra to reacting to videos, a professional take on it. And after seeing your youtube videos I thought to myself "Okay, but who is really the one I'm watching?" I was eager to see more of it. As it turned out, on Patreon, Form of Therapy is a whole new experience unto itself. On Patreon he is much looser in his reactions than on youtube. Which is not a bad thing, because I see your Youtube channel as a professional look at K-pop videos and your patreon a place where you can be yourself where no one criticizes you. I could have cancelled my subscription a long time ago, but I won't because I just enjoy discovering new series and variety shows with you. And I think several people here feel that way.

Sandra l.

Hate videos updates... Saying that patreon is going to be like your playground when it's literally your job and we pay for it... "I'm an amazing reactor"? that's good that you think that but you should not brag too much about it when you can barely keep up with anything. Does it matter if we are fans or just "customers"? if you wanted to take a break just take it instead of promising content that you won't even film at the end. You're always doing that and it makes us frustrated... It's just annoying at this point, just to say nothing new even...

kasey

yeah i’m done thanks

Sarahvtae

I don't know about you...but i'm slightly disgusted at how many ppl are already switching up again just because they posted this video... Like??? How does this solve any of the issues? Especially since most of the videos are STILL not out😂💀

Mariah

I’ve been confused about this ever since I joined this patreon. I’ve been an off and on sub for years but every month they said they would take off the first and sometimes a whole month to pre film and then still nothing comes out on time or not at all so? 🤨

Sarahvtae

The audacity. I'm actually disgusted at this response. I'm not gonna go into it too much, cause i'm actually just p*ssed off atp. But here a few things: If you would've actually read all the 400 comments on your recent post...then you wouldn't even have to ask all these questions. Majority of us are here for the content. We are clients/customers. WE ARE NOT CHARITY. It's disgusting how you view us AND this Patreon...while simultaneously refusing to get another job, even tho you simply can't handle this one! And the audacity to plan on going on another break as if you've worked sooo hard the past few months💀 And the fact, that you're also low-key complaining about the fact, that you have to film over the Christmas holidays- YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELF. And you BETTER release everything you've promised. That's all i'm going to say, cause guess what? Everything else has already been addressed in the other comment section...so you better make sure to read that. Also just saying...if you DO plan on going on a multiple-month-long break...you BETTER fix all the broken videos during that time. Cause it's starting to be a scam atp. AND PLEASE start making ALL the updates available for the public. I don't plan on being here any longer, but all the other ppl deserve to be treated well...and not like we've been treated for until now. p.s. there's some VERY few ppl, that are being like "Don't listen to them PD"...and all i'm going to say to that is: DON'T YOU DARE listen to those idiots over all these ppl who are showing endless concerns

daisy

I'm sorry but all these excuses time after time again prove your unwillingness to change and show just how disconnected you are from the rest of the world. Please stop taking all these privileges and luxuries for granted. Sure you have "fans", but that does not allow for you to put yourself in an almighty position and do as you please without a second glance. In the end, taking money from this many individuals without delivering the promised service, is indeed a scam. And including all the trauma dumping, the guilt tripping, and the empty lies? Are you sure you see us as people and not just your monthly income? We are not forcing you to do anything... this is your own setup and business. And with any business, customer respect and loyalty are key aspects for longevity. I hope you can detach yourself from that "narcissistic" mindset and move forward with a goal to change yourself for the better PD. Happy holidays and best of luck to you both, I've enjoyed your videos for years and my frustration doesn't change those good feelings and appreciation for you.

ghoulshima

fr, all these comments like “thanks for the transparency PD we’re so proud of you 🥺” like girl

ghoulshima

i mean, you saw the last update post. a few people said a loose schedule was fine (even though they’ve just spent 3 months building towards consistency but what’s another broken promise LMAO) so they said cool !! the patrons don’t want a schedule :)) as if there aren’t also 400+ comments SCREAMING the opposite. they’re absolutely gonna latch onto the like 3 people in these comments encouraging them 💀

ʚKaylaɞ

there are people saying they’ve had this “narcissistic” mindset for years now and given its 2023 and ppl are still saying it, I have no hope they’ll change anytime soon. Only way I can think to potentially force pd to a standstill is by canceling our subs and hurting those pockets. For a job that apparently pays 200-500k (possibly more) a year, they sure aren’t doing anything worthwhile. I also hate how we’re considered “fans” as well. I’m here for the content and the reactions, in no way shape or form will I EVER consider myself a fan of someone basically leeching from those actually putting in work and efforts, not to mention people who are DEDICATED to their craft and honing it. I’ve been a on/off sub since earlier this year and I saw the problems from the beginning with the broken links and, as u said, trauma dumpings. And as someone who also struggles with their mental health, I feel it’s basic etiquette that you don’t just unload all of that onto others and esp those you know are also suffering as it can be triggering (spoiler or not). My sub ends next month and I don’t plan to renew it now nor anytime in the future. With that out of the way, hopefully blaire and baby fare well going into this new year and happy holidays to those who celebrate!

Silvia González

I want a refund but I don’t know where to ask for it… I payed for a content that I could watch through the month. Even if you upload all the videos now, which it’s not going to happen, I won’t be able to watch them… this feels like a scam…

Mali

Send them a dm! I asked for a refund a few days ago and got a reply

Emily Howell-Forbes

Echoing other comments here, but I've subscribed for a product (your reactions) and I think I've hit my limit with the inconsistency of those and will be unsubscribing for the near future. Maybe I'll check back in a couple months to see if anything has changed. I really think that if you're looking for support for your exploration of your dreams without demands of content you need to make that a separate thing because that's not what I (and many other patrons from reading the comments) committed money for. Also a general request about updates, you're not the only person with trauma in your life and having to be triggered listening to you talk about it while skimming the video for the actual updates is really awful. If you really want to share about these things please include clear trigger warnings and a place where people can access just the updates.

Christina M Villa

I agree with you. I've been a subscriber here for several years, and I've taken time away from patreon when funds have been tight. One of the patreons I was subscribed to stopped posting content I was interested in, so I just stopped subscribing. No essay on why or how to change it to suit my needs. It's my choice how I spend my money. If I wasn't happy I would just not subscribe. It's not my place to tell someone how to do their job (especially when I do not know how to do their job in the first place) or live their life.

liam

i’m not going to say much because i feel it’s been covered in other comments, but i genuinely don’t understand you talking about how all you do is film and rest film and rest. if that’s all you do then WHERE are the reactions. please just be honest because either you’re too lazy to post all this stuff you’ve supposedly been spending all your time filming, or you simply haven’t been filming at all. please stop with the excuses

liam

actually i do have one more thing to say- in the kindest way possible, you are not going to achieve any of your goals if this is how you treat your commitments. i understand that reacting isn’t your dream. but i hope you realize that with any dreams, especially dreams as big as yours, you’re not going to achieve everything you want to right away. it takes years of working hard and doing things that ARENT your passion until you can reach what is. no matter if patreon is your final goal or not, it is your responsibility. it is borderline fraud to take the amount of money that you do from us each month with promises of content that is simply never going to be released. pd, we are PAYING you. you have a commitment to deliver the product we are paying for, and yet you’re not. your business is in ruins because you seem to have no concept of responsibility. if you keep letting yourself fall into this cycle, you’re going to find that no future endeavor is going to work out for you. try all you want to start the next hybe, but how are you going to achieve that if you can’t even properly run a patreon? we are not a playground, we are real people paying you real money for a product we are not receiving. i will not be returning next month but for the sake of the people who will sadly continue paying your charity service, please do better.

km

content dropped all through x mas and we’ve gotten 1… what was the point of even making an update video if you already aren’t living up to your OWN promises

km

just assuming you didn’t film anything last week even though that was the promise given 🤷 just one of the many reasons i’m out of here next week. same cycle everytime where you screw up, make an new schedule or promise, and then can’t even live up to the new apology promise

Kiki

Personally, I am here for content. If a part of that contributes somehow to you achieving your dreams elsewhere, that's amazing but I paid for content because it was promised in the schedule. I'm sorry that the things you are going through have now meant you have to spend the holiday season filming but if we're being realistic, you could have considered some of those factors (your mental health, moving etc.) and reduced the schedule in the first place or said in advance that you would have difficulties putting out content. I think overall, you need to be more realistic about what you can achieve - if you're going to cut tier prices, it's okay to cut the amount/variety of content because you simply, will not please everyone. I would strongly encourage you to take the break that you need to actually work on your mental health because this current approach is just a cycle of you exhausting yourself and making it difficult to deliver on your plans and promises and then making bigger and better promises to make up for it. Anyway, happy holidays and best of luck! I hope ya'll find and make the changes that work best for your lifestyle, the Patreon and achieving your dreams!

km

call me harsh or even rude but i refuse to suck up to you like one of your so called “fans” do.

taylor

so when are we getting the rest of the content?

daniel

what abt drama and anime club?

Arriane

I thought they will released the rest of the content today?

8Makes1Atiny

Is this all the content we are getting?

h.

starbucks ??? stop supporting the genocide, theres a major boycott rn

Violet Joo

PD... do you know why BTS and Seventeen and all these idols always shout out to their fans? It's because if you don't have fans you have nothing at all. This means no income, no stage, no nothing. All these idols respect their fans, try their best with their music and try to improve day to day because they don't wanna disappoint or let down their fans. RM once said that sometimes all he wants to do is stay at home and be on the phone all day but still he goes to his recording room and stays there and works hard because he wants to give us the best of him. I really hope you learn from this because being a fan doesn't mean that they just have to give you candy sometimes they can also give you criticism because fans really care. So please try to do not only better but give the best of you because I think your so called fans are worth it.

A36

I enjoy watching your reactions because i value what you add to them - it’s not an exaggeration when people say you provide insight that no other reactors do. I’m always excited to see if we’ll think the same way or feel the same emotions about certain things. And for the record, i love when Blaire joins you for reactions too. She always seems so genuine and interested so it’s fun to have her join you. However, when you insinuated that people are complaining/dissatisfied because they’re not really here for what your aim is (and that you’ll create new tiers to better organise all of that), I really felt as if you missed the mark. I’m here because I enjoy your content. I sincerely hope that you are successful and achieve these dreams but at the end of the day im here to watch you react. Unfortunately it’s just not in my budget to simply “support your dreams”. Patrons fund your dream, yes, but because this is a service you’re providing and we’re paying for. Again, not to say that we don’t support you, because I absolutely do. But, if you weren’t producing content (or, tbh, if you continue with such chaotic schedules), then I wouldn’t be paying for this patreon. I hope this doesn’t seem harsh, as I don’t intend it to be. I just really want you to realise what’s going on here. This patreon is a huge source of income, and people pay so much money for such little content sometimes. You’re in a position where your audience don’t trust you. I hope you work on fixing that and addressing everyone’s valid concerns too. If you decide to take a break, I wish you all the luck, and really hope you prioritise that time well and are able to come back with an improved system and attitude. I hope all the content comes out as you said, and im intrigued to see how this patreon continues. At the end of the day, I enjoy your content, and that’s why I’m here. Hope you guys had a good christmas and are mentally and physically doing okay!

Taylor

I always try to be very polite since I understand struggling with mental health but are you even going to release ANY of the promised content? This is just kind of pathetic at this point😔

carl

me when i lie for fun

Chrome

This grown man got Starbucks and can’t regulate his work-habits leeching off younger people’s income for the benefit of himself 💀 I can’t believe you seriously thought you could become a professional producer or work in that profession when you can’t even do PATREON professionally. We’re witnessing the truth behind the recordings. The lack of care or concern, having your pregnant partner be FORCED to try to take leadership of YOUR job because your child-like demeanor wouldn’t allow you to do things the logical way with your OWN hands. Figure out what you’re doing with your future for real, this time, starting now. EDIT: Don’t think we forgot about last year how you blamed Blaire and everyone for YOU feeling alone LMAOOO

emchant22

PD not the promises again... it's been 11 hours since your last post. Maybe just apologise and own up to it.... if December is too busy maybe January needs to be a free month for Patrons where you can actually film the content and post it...

km

honestly yes. make a free tier for the month and drop everything promised to us

Arriane

Whats happening PD? Can you please give us an update?

Jasmine Gilbert

im sorry but this will probably be my last month subbing. i’d have no problem with a flexible schedule, having a general idea of things to expect in the month and dropping whenever. but when you promise something time and time again (like all content being out by christmas) its hard to believe any content will come out whatsoever. like others have said i really enjoy your insights and love what you add to mv / album reactions - its why i became a patron. BUT if this is just a stepping stone to reaching your bigger dreams (which is fine, we all need to start somewhere), and yet you dont want to listen to the concerns of 100+ comments on the patreon, im not sure you have your priorities in the right place. i really do wish you luck but i hope you understand that people just dont want to be lied to or promised something that was never possible in the first place.

km

even if somehow pd does put out all the content, fixes this patreon, and gets his life together i’m still so put off by this narcissistic “i’m better than the rest” vibe that’s been going on for so long. sure pd has some great input but there’s not much that’s unique to his reactions imo. especially when other creators obviously care so much more about their audience.

km

acting like his time is of so much value and that we’re somehow in the wrong for expecting him to do…his job

Cherry

Honestly there is no other person to blame for this current situation other than yourself, PD. You said November you would focus on YouTube and recording content for December. But then you kept pushing and pushing things back!! You screwed yourself over in procrastinating, and when people rely on you (what, 5k paying patrons?) you screw them over as well. And twisting the narrative to try and put blame on the audience… extremely unprofessional. Extremely.

Jasmine sumner

5am in the UK 26th December and no posts. What a joke. Like the December schedule that never happened, overpromises and excuses. I knew the content wouldn't drop. It's another lie again. At the rate the only way things will change is if no content drops soon like by 28th or so we all leave. Sad to say but if 70%+ leave it's the only wake up call for PD. As he's never had a huge amount of people leave before that's caused him to have to change. For years hes gotten away with all the excuses, overpromises, delays, price not changing after Vimeo, blaming others, not taking full accountability, addressing the comments, not sorting out yt which has been in the dark for ages, not sorting out street team and addressing that. This patreons needed proper organizing for years and even a street team which PD thought about a year ago as he gave the idea in a post in 2021/22. This patreons been holding on ok since December because we all gave you a chance PD. We all stayed to support you as we love your content but rn it's in shambles this place. Like the comments on the update posts and yt community tab says it all. Like if majority of us truly leave PD will have to address things. We need a proper video or update explaining everything all our comments have mentioned, a rebrand of the patreon after a proper break from PD and Blair, yt needs sorting out from top to bottom and a video should be addressed on yt about what's been going on with yt as it's been in the dark for ages now. Everything here needs fixing. So I'm leaving. Leavings the only hope of not having another repeat situation. Where PD goes on mini break, comes back, we all come back for expected content, barely get anything with overpromises, delays, and the whole mess continues. If anyone wants to stay than stay, but the issues have been going on to long and pd needs a wake up call kick in the ass, so do what you choose. Bu most will be leaving anyway as this mess has gone on enough

Vintage.Belle

Look. Ive been a patreon for over 2 years now. I've always tried to be positive and think the best of you PD, but I'm just sick of the constant empty promises. You give a schedule, don't stick to it and blame everyone else. It's frustrating. I love your reactions and don't want to leave but tbh I really think I might have to soon. I don't pay as much as I do to you for nothing and it's upsetting. I get mental health is important but then take a REAL break and come back. Also how none of the older videos are ever fixed is no good. As other said we're here for reactions not pay for your dreams. I hate being rude but I don't know what else to say.

Milli Mey

I'm honestly getting so sick of it at this point. I might cancel the patreon before it renews for January

Steven Owen

Was about to say something but others are already cookin in the comments. And ya’ll doesn’t care anymore prob.

Annemc022

How unprofessional of you to do idk how many promises and not fulfil them, but also not giving your supporters a valid excuse. Because even though I get some of your excuses, right now you’re just lying and taking advantage of our money and time. Bye, hope you can gain more credibility with time, and maybe then some of us can decide to join again this patreon…

jjenniyyahh

Damn, this is all frustrating as hell...I just want the promised LPs to be released AT LEAST, since I cancelled my subscription for next month... It's so sad that I paid hard earned money for absolutely nothing this month...

Sarah 세라

Yeah I’m out. Good luck with your music theory and “running the next HYBE” lmao

AZ

would love to see the LPs at least.

Tania

Hi PD, to echo everyone else’s thoughts, at the end of the day we are here for content and content only. This is supposed to be a reaction channel (Patreon and yt), and that’s the service that we pay for. Many times I’ve stuck around and subscribed thinking you’d react to groups/content I like as u had promised in the previous months. It’s been a long year of disappointments tho and I’m glad u realize that you’ve messed up. But tbh not having the realization that losing ur Patreon supporters and not meeting those expectations (expectations that btw you have set) means that u don’t have that stepping stone anymore. We care for you but at the end of the day we’re here for the service. Your reactions are great but know that everyone could find other content creators who actually provide what they promise. I’m disappointed that I subscribed again thinking you’d post all the content promised. Highkey just wanted to see those listening parties. I know you talk about figuring things out for yourself, and maybe u should take that break but know that without fixing things here u won’t be able to move forward with ur projects. Just because patrons have been lenient and understanding with u so far doesnt mean they will be moving forward. And it seems like ur losing a lot of us. But I hope u take some time to think and also take the rest u need for the holidays. I’m just disappointed that after 5 years of watching ur reactions we’ve come to a point where I don’t trust ur service

Sandra l.

Blaming everybody but himself "the great reactor"... this is definitely not how the next hybe is going to get created. You think you're a people pleaser but you don't care about us, your patreons (not your fans), your customers... We don't make you react to anything, we suggest things that we would like you to react to but YOU are the one making the schedules, YOU are the one thinking that you can reacts to all of those dramas, animes, LP, variety, awards shows... YOU are the one that is failing us, and you should either start thinking about how to really make improvement (and not your bullshit excuses) or give up patreon and find a job more appropriate to what you can actually do. This is just my 2 cents, the last money you will get from me in awhile lol

Ezra mooneyham

Genuine question but what exactly is PD's job vs. Blaire's? Does PD do the editing and the stuff and Blaire is just management? I only ask because from my perspective I feel like Blaire has been the one lately to update or post things so I guess I'm just hoping someone can give me some clarification 😅

Aigoo

What job other than this would still be paying him at this point. These braindead “fans” are just funding this lunacy.

Aigoo

When a good content creator became a pathological liar. This patreon could’ve been great but now it’s pretty much over. I would feel bad but you did this to yourselves.

Bg_12

Don't. I've been a subscriber on and off for a few years and it only got worse every time. And with the baby in the future? Another convinient excuse why nothing is as promised. The situation here will be an even bigger circus ( if that's even possible)

Sandra l.

Yeah... there will always be people paying him for this unfortunately

Jasmine sumner

Wow no content and it's the 26th now!! Bet you didn't even film it. I'm leaving very soon. Only here for pds group chat here atm

Jasmine sumner

If he keeps repeating situations and barely posting, we'll all leave. If he goes on break and comes back welll all be gone because the situation keeps repeating but some will stay because they think PD will change and fix things but it's took them long enough now to have time to do it but we've gotten nothing

steet

Ok so I get that there's a general consensus but some people here are being straight up mean... But let me give you my 2 cents/constructive criticism. I've been a patron for over a year and I was ready to support you even in months when you took a break because I thought it was for the betterment of this patreon or one of your projects. I don't know how your patreon was before that but from what I've heard, it's been better. I don't really regret joining but honestly, I might have to leave because what I get for what I pay is not worth it for me anymore. I'm a student and while I'm not necessarily struggling with money rn, I don't want to waste it either. I know everything's expensive and of course I understand that services cost money but personally, I want to cut costs where I can and rn, this is it. I have a lot of patience and I understand that life gets in the way. And I seriously wish you the best! But I think what majority of us are genuinely upset about is broken promises. So I think the problem, at its core, is overpromising. You promise too much and get overwhelmed and when you don't get it done, it drags you down and it disappoints all of us. I think this would be your solution: please stick to the minimun that you can actually get done and stay consistent with it, the rest can be extra. It was already insane how much you uploaded in certain months, I don't think it's realistic to keep that amount up. So in conclusion, I love your reactions they offer a lot of insight. When you do upload, I really enjoy the content and can feel that you have a passion for it. However, we're all paying money here and are disappointed when promises get broken. Please only promise things that you're 100% sure you can do instead of overpromising and be transparent about what's in your power to get done. I hope you're doing well and can get this patreon to a better place again. Maybe then, I and some other people will come back :)

Hannah

the only content that I've watched this month being one zbtv episode and the reuploads of the xh listening parties (which I had already watched before the links broke ages ago!). this is ridiculous. hope everyone saying that they'll leave actually do. we can't keep feeding into pd's ego as mean as that sounds. he needs a reality check.

Alliana Kelley

Hi, can you at least get the &Team variety content up before the end of the month?

Hannah

one another note, blaire, you're doing so great and we all appreciate you so much! all these comments are in no way directed towards you. hope you're getting enough rest and that you and baby are doing well :)

laelia

Can someone lmk what Blaire said in the chat, since I’ve cancelled my membership I cant see it

John Michael

what happened to men who had balls and didn't make excuses for everything.

laelia

ahh ok, anything else? i think i saw her addressing reading the comments

Alliana Kelley

This is her latest response "Hey again, the last of the dramas are dropping and then variety! I’m sorry about the ordering but I am only a part of so much stuff so we decided to get the stuff I am a part of done first so I can sleep while he finishes up. Glory 10 and Moving 4 are on the way! -B"

eve_ss

I was so excited for NCT127 The Lost Boys and Moving content 🥲 now idk if we'll still get these.

Ana

Wow. It took me a while to see what was going on, but after the 4th or 5th cycle of this, I get it now. No, it's not "overpromising" or "working too hard and not prioritizing self care." It's "I'm telling people I'm going to do something, charging money in advance for it, and then not delivering." I get that life happens, and there are going to be times when health and emergencies prevent you from sticking to your schedule. But when it's more often that things are late or never happen, you cannot responsibly take people's money and ask them for your trust again. And even worse, to package everything into an excuse ("I was too ambitious, I overpromised"), then making it seem like you're toiling away to film over Christmas to give a Christmas "gift" to your patrons...! We don't want to be guilt-tripped. I thought PD was being sarcastic about their "god-tier reactions." I used to enjoy your reactions because they were higher quality than most, and I wanted to support and have access to your non-YouTube work. But that does not entitle you to not deliver and then make excuses every single time. On top of that, please don't blame Blaire for this. I could not stomach Blaire telling us earlier this month that it was her fault that things were late because she was spending time with family and didn't "rein in" PD's schedule. It was an eerie echo to a podcast earlier this year (another big ambitious plan without follow through) where we had to uncomfortably watch PD blame Blaire for PD's smoking/vaping habit that he said was killing him while Blaire sat in silence next to him. I'm out.

Andrea

he did that?? (im talking about the podcast) honestly too lazy to go fact check but that sounds so bad now even if we get the content we subscribed for i feel like i'd be uncomfortable watching him now cause what

Ana

I went back to look for it. It's episode 3 of the podcast, in the first section after the intro labeled "Cold Turkey." I mis-remembered and it's about more specifically eating unhealthily, though he talks about vaping towards the end of the section too. He talks vaguely about "other people" preventing him (unintentionally) from healthy habits like working out, eating healthily, and not vaping, and then straight up names Blaire. "One of the things I struggled with back then, and I kind of talked about, kind of like the people around me sort of getting in my way, were you [talking to Blaire] and Dez, my family. I'm trying to diet here and people are just complaining that the food was gross or that it's nasty, or I don't want to eat this." Then he talks about how difficult it is to quit vaping when everyone around him that he lives with (ie, Blaire) is vaping, even when it's killing you. I can't speak for Blaire or anyone else, but it made me uncomfortable.
