To give an example of how we are changing from Monthly Schedules to Weekly Schedules.

Life happens. Currently, I'm very sick and we have been dealing with a private family matter and quietly dealing with it, and carrying on. I did not and don't want to dump my life problems onto you guys--ever.

But sometimes in the middle of the week I might have to take a few days off. I might have a last chance meeting with a producer. But I put off a lot of things when I know I have "content I promised you guys".

I'm no longer just "promising" content, I'm telling you exactly what I filmed, checked out, and wanted to film this week and take more suggestions for the next week!

So I'll help you all understand a bit better with a real life example.

Here is a list of all these bonus reactions I filmed while sick with Blaire. We were sick but we did it because it was mentally very relaxing and helped heal us. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to release all of these.

  • ENHYPEN 'Bite Me' Recording Behind
  • Jung Kook Live @ Audacy
  • ITZY 'UNTOUCHABLE' @ONETAKESTAGE Inkigayo
  • ITZY YEJI + RYUJIN + CHAERYEONG + YUNA Solo
  • it's LIVE: KISSOFLIFE 'Shhh'
  • TXT 'Back For More' @NPOP

Every 7 days we will just be publishing a weekly schedule like this but as an easy to read graphic.

We're just only trying to promise one week's worth of content at a time so that we can actually stay up to date on content! There is new content, new groups, new music--ALL the time. Our old system can no longer work, it just sets us within too many "limits".

An example would be I have been meaning to check out the new H1-KEY since I was in Korea of last year! But since I haven't seen it, I keep forgetting about it, and then I forget to add it to the schedule, and when there's already a full month's worth of content already waiting to be filmed, it's hard to "just" make an exception for one group.

I love and care about K-Pop too be setting this monthly box around us.

This is a huge reason why we switched over to Subscription Billing. This means:

  • you will be charged only on the day that you join, and again on the same date the next month, rather than the 1st.
  • This was to stop viewing our life in "months" and be more present and just think "one week at a time"
  • I will be nursing a month long list based on seeing all your comments and ask what I should watch, take suggestions, on a regular basis.

Every day is a bit different. Some days I prefer to binge just one group, or one variety show. It really depends on the momentum of that episode or how good/funny it was.

Then every 7 days I'll just post what I filmed throughout that week, and there you go. It'll be a long list that I promise will be a health mix of BG/GG variety and great musical and dance content.

If you don't like what you see on the list, that's fine--just wait for next week or check back in a few! Because now you can join "whenever" and don't have to feel pressured you "won't get the most out of your patronage this month"!

But to make it easier to keep track, my main focus is to be CURRENT. So for example: our schedule on the 7th will probably look like:

-Some of the week 4 content along with a bunch of other stuff we've been wanting to watch (SISTAR19, YuYu Hakusho, a lot of SEVENTEEN stuff, etc)

On the 1st we'll post an official list of our Weekly Schedule Post Dates along with some of the big reactions that will be accompanying those posts. But for your information now:

February 7th:

  • Week 1 Schedule Drop [week 1 begins releasing immediately 2/8]
  • MAMA or Melon Music Awards
  • Taking requests for Week 2

February 14th

  • Week 2 Schedule Drop [week 1 begins releasing immediately 2/15]
  • Running Man EP 685: TXT
  • Taking requests for Week 3

February 21st

  • Week 3 Schedule Drop [week 1 begins releasing immediately 2/22]
  • JungKook 'GOLDEN' Live Concert

- - -

That's what the February schedule will look like. Listen, the truth is I have a TON of stuff I wanna and CAN do for the month of February. It's my birthday! And all I want to do is react to certain things such as...

  • SEVENTEEN's NANA TOUR
  • Running Man EP 671: V
  • Running Man EP 676: BSS
  • Golden Disc
  • Sweet Home Season 2
  • YuYu Hakusho
  • Etc...

There will always be more. There will ALWAYS be more. And heck, what I just listed is stuff I WANT to do, and even then, I might not be able to do it all because I'll still be fixing the Backlog first as priority.

But I am prioritizing what I would like to react to FIRST, then take your requests and intentionally treat you guys to your requests and suggestions, rather than making my entire life feel like I am only reacting to what everybody else wants.

My first week of February I'll be just focusing on fixing the backlog content and filming in between based on things that would inspire me to work even harder to get the backlog done faster. And I will do my best to have as much of the Week 4 content in that first week of drops on the 7th's schedule. That is ALL I can promise. From then to now feels like a whole life time, and I've still got a TON of things to do and once again, still a lot of other content still pouring in.

I know this is a big change, and the "unknown" is a concept NO ONE is comfortable with. But facing the unknown is the only we can ever grow as people, and I KNOW that this is the only way I can move forward and evolve; yet simultaneously feel like I'm going back to my roots and reacting for FUN.

I guess all I'm asking for is trust. And I know that I have not been consistent with my promises; and that's simply because I can't promise anymore.

Just chill, sit back, and if you need to pause your patronage for a moment to see "what this actually means" because this explanation was still confusing? Just wait and see.

Just experience February.

Ever since I broke down and came clean about my mental health struggles last February, I have worked on myself non stop to figure out why I was so depressed. I apologize that it has been a years long journey like this but honestly, I started this channel on a whim.

Accepting everything has been hard. From my perspective, 2 years went by like that. I'm trying to be more present.

This is the only way for me, that I know will bring a different kind of joy and magic to the Patreon. To my YouTube. Where those notifications are no longer just anticipation, but that seolleh-im (in Korean), that excitement of not knowing what it could be, that build up not "expectation" of a K-Pop video, but instead "hope"--and those moments when your hopes are actually met.

And for me, when I sit down in front of the camera and film, rather than "okay I gotta film this for my Patrons because they really want this!"--which is not a bad thing. It's just... After all these years, it's the ONLY thought that runs and race through my mind. That inexplicable guilt when I see a DINO video I want to react to--"ah but, I promised I'd get these and these other reactions out... OK I'll just have to film those. Damn I should do my work instead of wanting to watch DINO videos."

I'd rather think: "Damn, I'm gonna binge a bunch of Dino for a bit. Hehe these freakin' cuties are gonna have no idea what's in store for 'em!"

The monthly calendar makes this my JOB, the weekly calendar makes this my LIFE. K-Pop is my life.

I hope this clears things up. I hope you understand.

I love you. I wish you nothing but the same good energy in your life, I want to be here for you, and make this a much more fun, exciting, FIGHTING (heya-ji)

Taylor

this all sounds great! are you still planning on doing the nct doc though? I just know a lot of people have been looking forward to it!

Yanny

nana tour pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee, its so good and you will have such a great time watching it.

Amanda Bernström

still a little confused haha. But a question, will you guys react to everything you guys promised in December? I think you guys maybe should prioritize those videos first. I really did look forward to The Rose content and SWF. But ofc, you guys should react to what you guys would think is interesting

Ebony Coco

So we have to pay for another month to see the rest of the content promised this month? And how will the backlog access work with the subscription billing. If we join on the 28th of February, will we still be able to see February content in March?

WorldWideLove2000

Yeah he said they'll prioritize the backlog and things they're behind on, then move on to more stuff from their

feli

I hope this is the way that ends up working for you. I definitely think not having a set schedule is much healthier for you and us. Promising content has only ever led to frustrations here, so I’m hopeful for February and will resub if it ends up working well. Best of luck, I hope you feel better soon!

WorldWideLove2000

I'm sure they will if it's something they already put on a previous schedule. They said they'll prioritize the things they've promised. But if it's something that wasn't on the schedule it will probably show up at whatever time they choose. Hope this helped 😊

Swan Baek Jo

Nope, not paying for another month HOPING to see the Lp for SHINEE’s HARD.

edsworth

So you can't react to everything.. but you're going to react to what you want to react to but still take requests? And you're going react to select things from those requests but not announce that list because you don't want to promise anything? Am I understanding that correctly? I feel like you just should not take requests all together tbh

km

so i’m just a little confused- if there isnt a monthly schedule how do we know what content we’re paying for? I know with the new billing schedule that will help but does that mean people should wait until the end of the month so they know what you actually checked out? Just trying to understand a bit better

km

anyway i think the idea of only putting out content once it’s already been filmed is the best option for the channel. that way nothing is being promised that won’t be met.

Decadeprime

still waiting for promised el7z up reactions

Jagoda 00

I am a little bit disappointed. I hoped that this time you will be more responsible and keep the deadlines... I paid mostly because I was excited about the 2023 award shows but now you tell us that they will be posted in February? My subscription ends today so what, should I pay for next month to receive the content that should have been here already? Hardly seams fair...

Gazzaki

I'm looking for Weeekly reaction, so until then i'll hold my subscription. Hwaiting PD-nim

DAI

Isn't it obvious for everyone what the solution is? I thought it was all along. Just drop Drama/Anime stuff. I thought that's why everybody left here me included(I still have a few days of my monthly sub left). I've been subbed here for 3 years only for a tiny tine hope that he might actually upload the K-POP contents he promised 3 years ago and this month I finally convinced myself that would never happen.

BinnieBun

wait so are kpop reactions even a thing here anymore? sucks that what made you popular and loved has been abandoned for fake promises and invisible content. its kinda crazy that people still give you chances after all the stuff you pulled in the end of last year and the start of this year. Even so when this has been an issue for like 2 years now. I hope that since I'll be ending my subscription after being here from the start, that if I ever come back that you'll have made things right and delivered on your plans. I don't think you're a bad person and I get that things happen in life, but you realllly need to get a grip on the place where people give you money for the content that was promised to them.

Swan Baek Jo

It was on the schedule, but again I was fooled to think they’d go as planned for once…

Shanz

I’m subbed for K-pop and Drama club, but I think a 2 dramas and 2 anime’s at a time may be more manageable. To also have a bit more filming breathing room for K-pop related content. Or just bank film Drama content and then edit and release later. Also I think the schedule should be of things already filmed. I don’t want to be a downer but I feel like your approach to stuff is highly unsustainable. The weekly schedule is good in theory. Honestly I think the only way to really organize moving forward is to pause your Patreon for like 2 weeks to a month. Find out what you want to react to film that. Then but out a monthly schedule consisting of ONLY content you have filmed. Make that schedule public 4-5 days prior to the of the month. So people can decide if they are subbing. Great that you are switching to a different way of billing. I thought you had it like that already cause other creators have already done so. Didn’t realize it was an option. Like I don’t know how filming content day of was ever a thing. I think you are giving yourself added stress for no reason. I’m sure you are having a lot of challenges and that is fair. Like sometimes life happens but we if we have proper systems sometimes when life comes at us we don’t have all our commitments crashing down.

Shanz

Right, just put out a schedule of what you have filmed and set a let people be guided accordingly. Like people will still request anyway. Just make it clear that you may not get to their request. Like it’s not really a request more like a suggestion box.

Denise

I still hope you will be able to watch BOA's Forgive me MV and TEN's Birthday MV sometime :) And Fighting! I will stay as I always did. Cant wait for all the things you wanna react to :) Wish you a nice week! ❤️

Taeminara

so there won't be JIMIN DOCUMENTARY anymore? or did i got it wrong?

Annie

I was so happy finally having the SHINee, Key and Taemin LPs on the schedule…. Only to end up not getting any of them…. I’ll ask for a refund because I specifically subscribed for these LPs. I don‘t think I‘ll come back either. He‘s been pushing the SHINee LP since July goddamnit… i already had my doubts when I saw that they were scheduled this late into the month. And once again I should have listened to my doubts.

CJ

I think the weekly schedule would be best so you and blaire can also still look after your health. For the schedule you posted now, I’m definitely looking forward to the Jungkook content. Thanks for checking those out ☺️💜 Jungkook on Times Squate and Fallon are also good to check out but I’ll wait when you get to it. I also hope you’ll get around to watching Run BTS , BTS In The Soopand BV again or their recent BTS documentaries in Disney+ ☺️ thanks, PD! hope you feel better and have a full recovery ❤️‍🩹

Mesha ✌︎

The boyz watch it and the LP are on February?

lovelaced

Just because you aren’t here for anime/show reactions doesn’t mean others aren’t…I’m here for kpop, but even I can acknowledge that. The problem is pd either needs to balance them better or stop making false promises on both sides (esp kpop tiers)

kasey

wait so i paid for the content this month, which will come next month instead? and the videos you said are coming out tomorrow, will they be open to everyone or just for who will pay for next month, because i’m not gonna be here anymore lmao. like do i ask for a refund?

lovelaced

There’s honestly so much to go over here, but I’m gonna keep this somewhat short since I really don’t even have the time. Even though I don’t care for the award shows, you’ve been promising patrons for 2 MONTHS now and it’s seriously f*cked up that you continue to push it back for unknown reasons. People pay their hard earned money to watch your reactions and some even pay because they feel connected to you and/or want to see you succeed, but your head is so far shoved up your ass that you’re taking it all for granted. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if you came up with yet another excuse as to why reactions won’t be out on time and be moved to March. At that point though, anyone still subscribed should see they’re just blatantly being scammed. Not to even mention the constant guilt tripping as if we’re forcing you to give us content YOU promised?? My subscriptions ending tomorrow and I’m not nearly satisfied with what I received this month.

maya k

i can think of two other separate times in the last 2 years when you changed the plan to “only scheduling content that’s been pre filmed”. and that plan always goes to shit within a month lol. i already know this whole new structure is not going to last for more than like 2-3 weeks. just like what happened this month and the month before and the month before… for YEARS now.

Daniela Padilla

so sad that there is no fromis_9 content to look foward too

Sami Casingal

Agreed. It’s not the fault of the existence of dramas/anime in the schedule. After introducing dramas and anime to this channel, it would be selfish and unfair to have only one and not the other. The simple solution is literally just to keep the two balanced but before finishing what’s been started, more can’t be added just because of the desire to watch so and so. I have that habit of skipping around for dramas and anime which didn’t occur when I was younger, but because money is involved here, it wouldn’t make sense to skip around until one or more are finished. That way will be worth people’s money here

Amanduh

I honestly would love if you set up a week soon or even in the future just to catch up on kulture studies. There’s so many amazing comebacks me, and I’m sure other patrons, thought you’d really enjoy. I just miss mv reactions 😅

Amanduh

And I’m sorry if this was addressed in the video, I haven’t had time to get to it yet

Blaire 🌻

Hi, for your subscription you can just send us a DM and get a refund and sub again for February! I again promised too much, the boy group and girl group content for week 4 was over 7 hours alone, plus award shows and documentaries were too much. I apologize for overpromising, I actually plan to do a bunch of award shows my first week so please contact us for a refund 🙏🏻

Blaire 🌻

If that is how you would like to use our Patreon, then by all means. I’m no longer catering to people who are here only for reactions, I’m trying to build something and this Patreon is to support me sustaining and building my life forward so that I can achieve my dreams. Now mind you, I understand that a lot of people only care about me for reactions, and that’s fine. Just wait till the end of the month. The tier price is cheaper now so in exchange, I want a little bit more freedom. But if people would rather wait and see, that’s their choice. I’m just trying to have people support me for who I am and what I am trying to accomplish. If I keep doing these monthly schedules, I will keep promising too much. And whenever I promise a realistic amount or just a little, there is an always a large group of people who express their disappointment that their group wasn’t on the schedule. This is really the best mentally healthy option for me. I am going to always keep it similar to what I usually put out, but just more of a variety of stuff.

Blaire 🌻

That is the whole point, don’t pay. You will see when it’s out, and you can sign up then even if it’s at the end of the month, but you won’t be charged again until a month from that day since we are changing the billing period.

Jaydeekatt

Okay, I wrote a bit of a novel here, but only because I genuinely want to see you succeed, so I hope you take the time to read it. — I appreciate that you’re thinking through and trying to figure out what you wanna do that’s going to work for you. I’m someone who is AuDHD (Autism + ADHD), and struggles immensely with RSD and PDA, so I think that I can empathize with you to an extent. Currently I’m recovering from burnout and it’s felt like a never-ending cycle for years now. It’s difficult coping with a disability that is largely invisible to others but paralyzing to you. For my own reasons, I’ve decided to take a break from the Patreon, but think it might be good to share a perspective that’s worth considering. I have found that there’s one thing often at the crux of most uncomfortable or anxious situations: misaligned expectations. This often stems from inadequate communication or no communication at all. It seems as though you would like to experience fewer constraints around what you watch and when. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, in fact feeling stuck and somewhat puppeteered is a fast track to burnout. However it’s important to not conflate what you want to do as a hobby and what you are doing for a living. The lines get blurry when they involve a lot of the same things, but drawing that line clearly will save you a lot of stress. Logically, since the beginning of human history, business has been a transactional thing; payment in exchange for goods or services. And it has always been about supply and demand. The demand comes to you in form of requests and as long as the transactional format of this platform exists, you have a responsibility to supply content to meet that demand. Yes this constraint exists, but fortunately for you; you get to set your prices along with exactly when/ how much content you publish. Now how do you balance this with being able to reclaim your autonomy and watch stuff you’re excited about? Simple, you commit FIRMLY to LESS. Rather than avoid commitment which is the model you’re currently presenting. Avoiding commitment doesn’t ease pressure, rather you might find that it adds more because expectations are ambiguous and misaligned between you and your customers. When you commit a few essential things, you get to say “Hey I really wanted to check out this new thing, so I went ahead and watched it on my own time”– that’s liberating and you should be giving yourself the space to do it. If recording and sharing the reaction is a major part of the experience for you, then it’s a beautiful opportunity to revive your YouTube. The dynamic over there is inherently different from here. It’s content people are accessing for free and can be more of a hobby space where you can consider recommendations/ suggestions, but it isn’t so transactional as here. You wanna check something out because you’re excited? Do it and put it on YouTube! Let that platform be an outlet and a space for your excitement to thrive so that you have a better balance in sustaining things here. The folks on YouTube can be your fans/ supporters or whatever you wanna call them but the people here are customers and this distinction is important to not lose sight of. Then even on here, consider inserting some guardrails to make things easier for yourself. For example, maybe have a 3-4 day window at the beginning of each month for requests and then close them for the cycle. Make it clear how many requests can be taken in each category and then it’s a clean slate for each new month; no backlogs. Most importantly, set clear expectations by saying NO to the things you’re not interested in or are unable to do. Yes this might be an RSD trigger, but it’s a sign of integrity. Some people may leave, but others might actually be drawn in by knowing they can rely on you to set clear expectations with them. People come and go regardless; it’s better to equip us with the ability to say “okay he’s not currently prioritizing what I wanna see, so I’ll step away and check back later”, rather than leaving people with a bitter taste in their mouths and hesitation to return regardless of what content you eventually put out because trust is broken. Basically what I’m getting at is that this new approach sounds like going from 1000 - 0 in terms of commitment and I don’t think it will bring the sustainable results you seek, so a clear and firm balance is much needed. Plus an outlet where you can engage with some of this content off-platform on your own terms. I really do wish you the best and I believe you more than have it in you to make this work! 💙 P.S the “quoted” comments in your post read as passive aggression/ sarcasm, so if that’s not your intention, it might be best to dial those down a bit.

km

that all makes sense! I was just asking to see bc the wording of the post confused me that’s all. So i wanted to just make it clear that people, if they choose to sub, would just be doing so to either support or hope you react to something that interests them. Wasn’t asking out of pettiness or anything i was just genuinely confused by the breakdown.
