SURPRIIIIIIIIIIISE :D

This is going to be the new show, that replaces The Walking dead!!!!

There are still two episodes of TWD coming, but you get earlier access to this new show,  on here, because you earn it :)

Please do not tell anyone on Youtube yet. I want them to be surprised, too :) Thank you :)

And also my source that I´m watching this show from, is Amazon. (Channel: BBC Player)That version should work 100% for synchronicity. Others should, too. But just to let you know :)

Also, this first episode was recorded back then, when my hair was still "old" :D :D

Have fun :D

Fantastic! What a great surprise. The series is set in Cardiff in Wales - where the Doctor Who first series episodes "The Unquiet Dead" and "Boom Town" were set. Gwen's boyfriend has a Welsh accent. They filmed the series in high-definition which looks really nice in this episode especially at the start with the rain. I think the Torchwood series was a test of the technology (high-definition CGI, detailed alien make-up etc.). The synchronization was fine for me against my Blu-ray copy. Very happy that you've started this series.

The series is set in Cardiff which is the capital city of Wales. Which is part of the UK but definitely not England!. It's where the Tardis docked in Doctor Who, Boomtown to recharge. The Torchwood we saw before in Doctor Who was in a part of London, England called Canary Wharf. Part of the city which used to be famous for its Docks but is now a financial centre. Edit! I typed the above before you got to the part where Jack explained all that!

ps I don't like Owen's tricks with the perfume spray either. A bit like Rohypnol I think.

Thank you Andrew, I hoped this would be a show, that Dr. Who fans do also love. And I really like it so far. :) I was slightly confused about the geography :D But I do remember certain places from Dr. Who. :) Oh so it´s HD, that makes a lot of sense. The picture was sooo clear. I really liked that. Especially with the rain in the beginning. Makes it harder for the make up people, I guess. But I really appreciate it :) Great, I´m relived the synchro worked for you. That´s always a concern of mine, when I start something new. That´s why I try to always watch stuff from Amazon and Netflix and Disney+. To make it easier, but you can never be sure.

I do remember those places from Dr. Who. I just had some problems matching it with my geography knowledge of the UK. :D I went to London a few years ago, for the holidays. And I have seen Canary Wharf. It´s quite impressive with those super big buildings. :) And about Owen´s trick. Thank you for telling me, that you didn´t like it either. I do never know if other people do see it from my perspective (so critical) when I mention something like that. But in this case I think it is pretty obviously wrong. So thank you for telling me your viewpoint :)

Torchwood starts as it means to go on - i.e. in an uncompromising fashion! I like this first episode; but I'll have rather different opinions on some of the others :)
