Not one of my favourites. I do like getting more of Jack's history. His relationship with Estelle (the elderly woman) echoes the Doctor "You can spend the rest of your life with me. But I can't spend the rest of mine with you." The story is a bit weird and the BTS interview with the writer doesn't really explain anything - but then he was the creator of "Sapphire & Steel", so in that case "Small Worlds" is exactly the weird sort of story you would expect. My view is that the killing of Estelle and vandalism of Gwen's flat were not because they were directly threatening the child but because the fairies were displeased that they had been discovered and warning against further interference. I don't understand the rose petal on Jack's desk though. Is that something he kept from 1909? But it's bright red - is it really a hundred-ish years old? Or is it a warning from the fairies not to interfere now? I don't know. And it's not like the writer would tell us.

That´s so true, I didn´t put that together, but it really is kind of the same thing the doctor said. Yes the story is weird, I agree. I do not know Saphire&Steel though. Thank you for your view on my critique about Estelles death and Gwens flat. The way you describe it, it really makes sense. :) I do not understand the rose pedal either. It doesn´t really make sense, you´re absolutely right.
