I would like to see more content of the Japanese language, culture, armour and weapons, of course.

Medieval Genie

More specifically, I think we need to look more at the actual fighting, because I've seen SO many video pretending to show historical fighting based on movie slapstick and awkward flailing. It's almost a necessity to dissolve all the myths. Perhaps more debunking videos to crush nonsense like a bulldozer!

Kevin Reynolds

I don't see a way to submit my vote. I voted for European Middle Ages, Classical Times Roman, Classical Times Greek, and Languages.

Medieval Genie

If you've ticked a box or multiple boxes, it should submit automatically.

Captainroyy

ahhh, I had to vote all of them, can't miss out on any c:

Dennis Moe

Things related to Rome is always the best :3

Fat Freddy's Cat

I like it when you do the re enactments outside. You should show off where you live and the history of Rome and Carthage, Greeks all should be kinda close by. Travel around your area and show off its history. :)

Kristian

Hello, everithing archery related would be nice. Non Englisch and late medieval to be specific

Jaro De Graeve

I'd love to see a video about succession across all your covered cultures (Rome, Europe, Japan, etc.) what were the differences? Were there exceptions to the rule? How far would they go to make sure the titles stayed within the dynasty? etc.

Narrack

I'd like to know a bit more about Italian history in general. There's a lot of history on that Boot.

Alvarin_IL

There wasn't an option for that, I really like historical evaluations of movies and games.

Electer

I would also love more debunking videos, or a the rant videos, they always crack me up and, they shed light on the historical lies/inaccuracies told by mainstream movies and games.

Andrew

Your Latin language/pronunciation videos have been interesting to me as someone who works with botanical Latin and scientific botanical names. More wold be great!

Eltelm Elunada

Grrr, I want them all! But I've gone with languages since it was you who really inspired me to try learning ancient languages for my studies. Would love some more content about Latin, as that is particularly relevant to me since I'm currently studying it as part of my uni degree.

Jay Berkeley

Love all your work just do less rants plz

Weizhou Wu

Roman/Japanese Battle Tactics

Lily

How about the Dark Ages? I find it to be a very interesting time period.

Matti Kuokkanen

I second this. Strategy and war games in particular are of my interest. Ageod, Paradox, and Slitherine make & publish many great historical games, and understanding their historical accuracy would be interesting.

Travis Sherstianko

Well I hope you get this,I kinda offered up this idea to Matt Easton first, but never heard back of anything.what I'd like to see you do a awesome video of is the finite and technical differences between Italian and German longsword teachings, both from the manuscript and combat system taught today.also,an in depth review of true bastard swords vs full longsword, and the school that favor them.

Jerry Jorgenson

I really like the language and cultural historical videos. Weapons and armour come second. Games last.

TheNetsrac

I wanted to check every option available, you make any subject interesting. Went with European Middle Ages, Classical Times Roman and Weapons and Armour. That said I am interested in watching videos on all of the choices you listed. Keep doing what you do Metatron aka keep spreading your wings We humble noble ones will try to stay in your slipstream of historical knowledge:-) Best wishes from Denmark

The Silver Socialist

I think you should be more specific about what you mean by languages. Which Language? What sorts of things are you intending to teach us about them?

Barbara Ahlers

Any of the above interest me, checked the ones I'd especially like to see. I love ur rants & comedy sketches like Mario & the Phone Call. Those type of vids are one of the places I go when I want to laugh

J

Roman army honestly.

Dominic Sero-Asturi

I really like all of the topics here, Raff! I think you should work on producing these, and perhaps including some hypothesis / beginning research videos on these topics for certain things as you move forward. Perhaps could even tease some people towards your patreon for those monthly uploads. I just think it'd be cool to hear your thoughts, your current research / study / reading on these topics, and how they apply to fun stuff we all like. And your language videos, I much prefer the videos where it's language as a concept, rather than comparing the actual phonetics. Though that being said, I enjoy those greatly too. Discussing how languages change, building meaning from words already in a language, how context/connotation can make a huge difference in language. Tons of great stuff. The only thing I didn't click was Weapons and Armor. Because I know you're going to do those as we come into these subjects, and they're really awesome; but sometimes I feel they become oversaturated in broader conversations. And, I think other people may agree, with weapons and armor being the Second Lowest entry on the board. I'm still super pumped and excited for your Medieval Hygiene reexamination, among other cool things.

Mark Yuile

I love your mix of topics, especially the Roman and Greek stuff. as a Varangian reenactor I would love to see some Byzantine stuff which would be a great extension to your classical Greek and Roman material. But don't change too much the channel is great. One issue might be the use of riveted Lamellar armour in Byzantium and its evolution ( see Tim Dawson, "Armour Never wearies) I am new to all this but I love your channel.

Mark Yuile

PS I love your footage of historical sites would love to see some more of that.

Stormyla

I want to vote for all of them with a focus on classical roman times specifically why certain colours style of armor etc were used for what reasons against who and how did armor change depending on what country/climate they were invading. How many changes were influenced by the local peoples of said invaded land and Im really quite interested in finding out how the Romans dealt with the cold for instance with the Celtish occupation. Im not a huge history person so I dont know all the terms but Id love to find out how that many men survived the cold alone. And if there were other environmental reasons for different campaigns what they were why and how they were overcome through arms and armament :D.

Stormyla

:D sorry I forgot my manners

Mark Yuile

Do you ever get to Sicily some material on the Normans there would be great

Christophe Garcia-Salvador

Good question! He did some video's about the Normans in England, but I think it will also be very interesting if he would make a video about the Normans in Sicily.

Riccardo Orrù

Well, call it a almost-useless poll, we love all your topics! :D I voted for Languages. But I am biased nontheless, being italian and you making most language videos about italian or latin. Hope you will get out of demonatization swamp, you deserve every cent for your amazing work.

Timur Sultanov

Well just some advice on getting more patrons... post here (even like available to public posts for free) so that people become aware that they can get updates about your activities here, a lot of YouTuber do such stuff on Patreon, as a way to have some short messages for their supporters and subscribers. And it also kinda rewards patrons as they unlike everyone else will get a notification even if post is available to public.

Fyrgon

I was always wondering: In ancient times, all great civilizations would have endure the raids of great hoards of barbarians... How so that they were so "common"? One would expect that badly equipped logistics lacking farmer-warriors should not be able to conquer well equipped fortified armies of civilized world, would it be Egyptians, Greeks, Rome, Persia or China. Would you pls consider making video on this topic? How on earth could barbarians threaten economic powerhouses of their time.

Irvine Spiegel

I would like to see a video on how Feudal Period Japan principles persist in modern or recent history Japan.

Rui Nelson Carneiro

Hi Metatron. You are a real man of culture, you deserve much more than ad-supported videos. Do anything you like!

Knarr

I might also include a category for Fantasy as a future choice option. You do talk about it fairly often in passing, but I would not mind seeing more.

Jason Anderson

Not sure if its in your wheelhouse, but I'm also curious about the transition from the Roman Empire into the medieval states.

Sam Whitehouse

Top picks are Rome and Greece but I'm happy with anything entertaining or informative. Wouldn't mind some ancient Macedonian videos

Nicholas Pasin

It would be awesome if you made a video (or a series, as it would be a HUGE topic) about the legacy of the Roman Empire in present-day Europe and Italy in particular.

LDG

Suggestion: perhaps do a bit on used weaponry, armor and its development during WARS OF THE ROSES. Chapter easily turned into series...keep up the good work and all the best 😉

Aleksander Czosnek

I would love to see more content about ancient China! <3

Louis Williamson

I'd also love to see more content on ancient Chinese history - no-one seems to be making any, and it really fascinates me.

Joseph

I would love to see some content on Polish Winged Hussars 😊

Scrub01

Coming down, they turned the tide!

Asdwef

how about something you dont hear about often, like ancient china, india or korea?

Fathel Guweda

it would be awesome if you could include options like ancient Persia, Babylon and Islamc caliphates
