OK, this was dense. You might come back to the Sicels in the Greek episode with the revolt of Ducetius. Concerning Erice and its temple, the famous Mika Walthari has some important scenes in his historical novel "Turms", in English "The Etruscan". I am currently writing a book about Sicily before the Greeks, it will be in German for a beginning. Do you can read German?

Good idea, I'll consider that.

Metatron

That's 3 times more than what I asked so not a small contribution at all! Thank you

I watched your video on YouTube about the financial situation. This is my first time on Patreon, and I bought your subscription for a year. I hope things go well, and this episode was great. I can't wait for the next one.

I've been thinking about joining for a while, this situation helped me commit. Your content is unparalleled in honesty and truth. I know that I am getting the entire history without any lies, which is incredibly rare. Thank you so much, and welcome home in the USA, we are PROUD to have you. My family is from Ceprano & Castelpizzuto, so Im a little biased towards Italians as they are the most intelligent people, as my Nonnie told anyone who'd listen on a daily basis 😁

Robert Griffith

I love this! These are my favorite kind of Metatron video, well-researched deep dives into a historical topic. I know these are also the most work to produce, so I really appreciate it. Also, I am sorry to hear about your current issues with AdSense. I hope someone at AdSense or YouTube can work with you to fix this issue, but at least it's heartening to see so many people who have come here to help.

This was really cool! Great Images, and intriguing info. My late husband may have been Sicilian, though this is disputed by other family members. Who knows? I thought the part about the goddess cult was especially interesting.

During the Younger Dryas, around 13,000 years ago, Sicily was fully connected by a land bridge. Of course, ship building tech has been established to at least 52kya, but obviously earlier because of a recently discovered earlier arrival of aborigines in Australia around 60,000 years ago. Reviews of early settlements absolutely need to consider sea levels – which you do. It would be fascinating to see if there are any submerged caves just offshore with hidden examples of cave art from those early inhabitants. Enjoyable video!

Metatron

The support has been amazing indeed!

Metatron

I'm glad to hear that you liked it and I'm sure your late husband was a great guy. Welcome to patreon!

This is fascinating, and you have found some great visual footage. The ancient prehistoric human figures in the caves near Palermo are indeed unique. Some days I long for a time machine! Anyhow, where, roughly, in Scicily, did you hail from?

Skarik

Fascinating stuff! Looking forward to the next in the series :)
