Hello Patrons! I just wanted you to know that I've decided to dedicate one day a week exclusively to you to thank you for all the support you are giving me and you have been giving me. On Thursdays from now on I will be making posts or polls, and I will take time to sit down and try to read as many messages from you as I can and I'll reply to you all. So From now on, if you have sent me a message and you are waiting for a reply just remember to check on Thursday and you'll find your reply :)

Thank you again for all that you do!

Cool. Let me get you started for next week then. You have talked about the various reforms that the Roman legion/armies underwent but these reforms mostly seemed to focus on the infantry. Why did Rome not reform its cavalry units as vigorously as its infantry units?

In my opinion it's mostly because after the reforms one of the main changes was indeed to focus on heavy infantry only. Cavalry in the Classical period was present in auxilliary form, but it didn't have the same shock attack role as Medieval cavalry because the technology wasn't there just yet, no underarm lance, no lance rest, and quite a few other reasons. Cavalry was mostly used to pursue fleeing enemies or to scout or support infantry but not as a main attack force.

Let's talk in a future video about the one European medieval reenactment group in Japan.

Be careful with promising to reply to everything in one day; I have a feeling you could get flooded and overwhelmed with so many questions, that you might give up on replying to anything on Thursdays, and that would be a shame... I think it's better to say you'll reply to two or three things on Thursdays (or whatever number you think will be comfortable and/or manageable for you.) 🙂

So far I can handle 30+messages so at the moment it''s all good :)

That's good to hear. 😀👍
