I think Edwina in the show is meant to be 18/19 years old (the actress was 25 I’m sure, just looks young)!! But I agree the pairing does look a little wonky age wise, but likely period accurate lol.

makes me sad that both violet and daphne could see how unhappy anthony was, but no one in kate's family looked at her long enough to see how much she was struggling. if lady danbury could see it, edwina and mary should have as well, imo.

edwina confuses me a bit because she knew anthony wasn't going to marry for love, he explicitly told her in episode 2 and kate even repeated it. edwina basically said she didn't care because he was being honest about it. but then later she thinks and expects that anthony is in love with her. i get that she could have thought that feelings would grow, but tbh - she had multiple warnings.

jonathan is so good. if you ever feel like you want to see more of his work, i'd highly recommend fellow travelers! in my opinion that is his best work yet.

right? i understand that she thought feelings would grow but at the same time i dont get why she is so shocked that he doesnt love her. anthony did many things wrong this season but he never lied about that particular thing. he has always said he wasnt going to love her, and she said she was fine with it.

I had the best time rewatching my favorite season with you and being reminded of how intense they are. By far my favorite Bridgerton couple, especially in the books. Season 2 is my favorite. I love Kate and Anthony and Enemies to Lovers is one of my favorite tropes in fiction. The bickering, the tension, and realizing that it's all because they have feelings for each other. It's easy to make it go wrong, but they did it so well. Anthony and Kate had such amazing chemistry. Can't wait to for you to check out Queen Charlotte.

I totally agree with you there! I think she's young and naive. But Anthony literally told her I won't love you like that and she said to Kate "does that make him a bad man or an honest one" and then she got mad in the end that he didn't say he loved her when she asked him....like girl you knew this from the start both him and Kate told you

exactly!! like - why was she wondering if it was her or the marriage he truly wanted? it was the marriage and he made that clear to her, and so did kate. of course it was shitty for her that all of this happened don't get me wrong! but in the end they all kind of had a role in it - she should have listened to what was being said tbh.

This is still my fave season. The slow burn is just 👌🏻👌🏻 I love that you binge the series too because it absolutely sucks viewers in and is made to be binged. The tension in this season is elite, both actors were incredible

Hello I am new (and late) to your channel. I found you on YT from watching 1st season of The Summer I Turned Pretty (hope you finish that series soon btw). I have never joined a Patreon channel as I wld prefer not to have to pay to watch this type of content and miss when content creators did YT full time so those who can’t or don’t want to pay can still enjoy. With that said, I do enjoy your reactions and appreciate your thoughts about what you watch and I have now also re-watched Bridgerton for the 100th time 😅 NOW thru your eyes of course and I have reserved my critiques until now. So like I said while I mostly enjoy your content I wld like to offer some suggestion in case no one else has mentioned it…. 1. It might be better to move your face cam to bottom left or right of screen (make smaller if necessary) as you often cover faces with current position. 2. Again while I love and appreciate your thoughts and raw reactions sometimes I wish you would either pause or hold off either looking up an actor until end of an episode as well as when you have more lengthy commentary or “deep” assessment of things DURING the episode because you often talk over things that are happening in real time and I fear sometimes you miss certain little things (although admittedly you are mostly great at keeping up). Case and point on final episode of S2 here I heard u mention the new Lord Featherington going back to America with his money but missed that Lady Featherington actually told him she was keeping it all and wld tell the Ton he left with it all and that he wld “leave no worse than he came” (broke). OTHER THAN THAT…LOVE YOUR STUFF! 🥹🫶🏼

Separate comment too about the seasons you have watched so far (1 and 2). While I love them all including this one for some reason Season 1 always holds a special place in my heart 🥹. To each is own of course but I hate when it seems like ppl forget how amazing the connection and magnetism that Simon and Daphne had in S1 after watching S2 aka “The Slow Burn romance”. S1 is LITERALLY the reason we wanted MORE. Ppl literally wanted to riot when Simon (Regé Jean Page) did not return for S2 which is a testament to how great S1 and him (and Phoebe aka Daphne) did in S1….IJS….recency bias is a real thing 😅
