Maya

You’re not alone this was my first Gaga album as well 🫢 I really enjoyed it

Vivienne Grimstead

You should check out Allie X if you want more weird pop that slaps c:

Great reaction! Gaga has a very versatile and deep discography. I think The Fame or Born This Way is a good next pick for an album by her to get a sense of the foundation of the root of who she is as an artist.

Maya

I’m not a Taylor fan but I heard her immediately in how bad do you want me 😂

Maya

Even if you don’t record it please watch her mv to abracadabra. I actually wasn’t a huge fan of the song but the video changed my mind. It has some great choreography

“the sound that makes you feel like you’re in a dungeon somewhere” (8:45) that’s some sickening goth pop for you. very signature gaga. there’s an organ involved someway in most of these types of songs of hers.. they always feel gloomy and twisted regardless of how upbeat the instrumental is. a master of her craft tbh

fry

okay now i need a joanne the fame artpop born this way reaction literally all gaga😭😭😭

fry

gaga always has some type of ballad in her albums even if it feels out of place

Based on your reaction to this album, I think you will have a great time listening to Hurry Up Tomorrow 😉 considering your love for cinema you will love this album

this might be my fave gaga album since born this way, i've been basically listening to non-stop since it came out <3 with the more dancy songs i've been watching choreo videos on youtube and they're so good and she has grown so much with her live performances and i've been enjoying them so much with this album cycle since her song with bruno came out.

Here is some important info before you listen to it though: - There are transitions! so be careful where you pause :) - It's the final piece of the trilogy: After Hours, Dawn FM, HUT. - Abel is saying goodbye to the Weeknd persona in this album. - He lost his voice during his show in SoFi in September 2022 performing the very first song and after unsuccessfully trying to get it back he had to stop the show. He said it was the first time that had happened to him, his voice never failed him before. This event affected him deeply and gave him a new perspective on his career and life.

sunlitszn

definitely time for Michael to see some live performances to really fall in love

you could either go backwards or start from the beginning, but I do not suggest jumping in the middle lol, the beginning has her craziest sounds and then it starts to mellow out as you go further up her discography (besides artpop but that's another story for another day lol.

I'm so happy you enjoyed this project! Gaga's been one of my favorite artists since I was literally 8 years old, and I know you'd have a lot of fun going through her discography. I will say that music videos have always been something Gaga puts so much effort & creativity into, and it enhances the experience so much :)

Jackie

I'm so glad you reacted to this!! And I'm so so glad that you enjoyed it! I havent been able to stop listening to this album 😂 The Beast is actually one of my favs! To me, the pace of it is meant to make you feel unsettled and ill at ease, to go with the theme of the lyrics. I just love how different it is 😊

Cardenasada Taco

Can we get a JID The Forever Story reaction? I think you would love it immensely

Paige Peasley

Great reaction! As someone who loves gaga and have seen her in concert 3 times (once was with tony Bennett on her jazz album) I can say it's a ride. The fame monster and born this way are pop perfection in my opinion, then she seems to go all over the place with art pop, Joanne, and chrimatica, then came back with this amazing album! I would say start at the beginning and go forward. Also gaga is weird, in a good way and thrives on it so that feeling you can't quite put your fingure on, is just Gaga, the weirder the better. I agree with the comments about watching her music videos and maybe even the monster ball tour movie.

Paige Peasley

Also, based on this you may like kesha's Rainbow album. I would put her in the similar music feel and that album was her first after the whole court case with her producer (if your going to react make sure you know that lore) But it's so powerful :)

Leah Goodman

I can’t believe this is your first time reacting to a Gaga album! I could have sworn you reacted to Chromatica but clearly I made that up in my head. 😂 I would love to see you react to her discography and would suggest you start at the beginning and work your way forward to appreciate her long awaited return to more dark dance pop with Chromatica and Mayhem since it was a long detour between Born This Way and Chromatica. And her visuals (both concert and music videos) are a MUST. She is a true master of the art of a music video. Looking forward to watching whatever you decide to check out!

Alex (NOT ALICE)

Please do all her discography! It might be interesting to go backwards, since you've started with MAYHEM. It would go: MAYHEM Chromatica Joanne ARTPOP Born This Way The Fame Monster The Fame There are some jazz albums and such, but these are the solo studio albums

In Abracadabra, those are actual word Amor is Latin, Spanish and Portuguese word for love and Morta is also another Latin and Portuguese derived word meaning (she)dead. "Abracadabra" means I create as I speak. So basically she's saying, (and a lot of people didn't get this, but it was also the theme of her concert/era) that she will kill her former self (Gaga persona) and create a new Lady Gaga that's loved for who she is and not attached to the expectations and surreal success of her early career days, something that a lot of critics and fans alike hold over her with everything she does. Love or Death (love me or let me go) Dance or die (if you don't like it you can f off [politely]).
