OMG !! Lucy dacus mentioned!! i hope you try her discography

Ramsey-Michele Pruitt

omg i clicked SO FAST when I saw the Runarounds!!!!! I AM OBSESSED with them!!! They’re so good!!!!!!!

Leila

so the runarounds are a actual band but the show is more of a show but they do perform original songs almost every episode. although all the songs are able to listen to on apple and spotify and they are actually touring these original songs rn. so the plot is basically they are trying to make it big as a band before they all start college but you do see them start as a band and see if they can stay together as band through a lot of challenges. btw thank you for reacting i hope you would consider watching the show

Ramsey-Michele Pruitt

My gosh this is such a good one! Bo Burnham and Damien Rice too???

Ramsey-Michele Pruitt

The Runarounds show is a fictional show with a fictional plot about a real band with their real songs they wrote and an album that they’re currently touring right now! The show is really good and it’s on prime, but their music is even better. So you could listen to their album as a standalone without watching the show if you wanted to.

I've never gone deep into the Clash discography, but they are possibly the most iconic punk band. They were contemporaries of the Police, and Stewart Copeland tells stories about them sharing a bus to punk festivals. "London Calling" is from 1979. The line about "phony Beatlemania" is very much the punk ethos. They wanted to blow up what had come before and start a totally new music genre. If you have ever seen Billy Elliot, "London Calling" is featured in that movie. You have definitely heard the Clash before, as "Should I Stay or Should I Go" was featured heavily in season 1 of Stranger Things. It's the song that Jonathan uses to cheer up Will. You can hear Will singing it on Mike's radio when he was stuck in the upside down.

When the band members in the runarounds were auditioning they didn’t really know what they were auditioning for. It was very vague they just knew it was for musicians. They play characters in the show and has a storyline but the band in the show is touring in real life and they got to heavily work on the music in the show though they did work with songwriters. I’m unsure if they’re touring as themselves or as their characters 🤔 I believe themselves.

chimelle6

Love the tannies being themselves. ☺️ The room with Jack in the box was the hybe building. The one where they were switching rooms was a massive house they rented while working on music in LA.

Rissa

Can't wait for you to witness Money game part 3!!

I don’t think the gap was in response to Levi because they knew about it a few months in advance, but it was a really great timing and coincidence.

I don't need to answer all of your questions??? Do you know me at all? 😂 I answer every question you ask. Here we go: 1) Hannah Montana (yes, Miley) was about her living a double life as a normal girl and pop star, but no one in her everyday life knew she was Hannah. While in The Famous Jett Jackson, people in his everyday life knew he was an actor who played Silverstone, a secret agent in the show within a show. They also had a movie, Jett Jackson: The Movie, which I highly recommend watching as well. 2) The show was during the years 1998-2001, and Lizzie McGuire was from 2001-2004. 3) The movie you are thinking of with Hilary and Frankie is Agent Cody Banks. Fun fact, Frankie also guest appeared in an episode of Lizzie McGuire. 4) You probably did see some episodes of Lizzie McGuire on ABC when they used to show their Disney Channel and Toon Disney shows on Saturday mornings, during their ABC Kids block. 5) Boy Meets World is the show with "Topanga", and that actually was on ABC during TGIF, but ran reruns on Disney Channel. 6) So, the Zoog thing on the Disney logo was actually what they called a certain time block, "Zoog Disney," in the afternoon that was aimed toward their pre-teen demographic. It ran from 1998-2002. I think that covered all of the questions. Did it? I'll probably rewatch the reaction and remember other ones you may or may not have. But yes, I'm glad you enjoyed this song! I know, crazy, right? Top 5 boy band album? There are so many great albums. But something about "Let's Roll" just gets to me, and I hope you check it out one day. Can't wait for next month's request!

EB

Gap totally lucked into that timing! And clearly executed everything at a much higher level and with a much better concept than the other ad…because the other one wasn’t Levi’s. People were so irritated about the whole thing that they don’t bother to remember what brand it was even for😂 But you mention the Katseye ad and they instantly know it was for Gap💜

I see BTS or BIGBANG, I click in a heartbeat

Lizzy

Holy cow I forgot StrayKids did hellavator, it feels so different from what they do now. This was it though, I think that song for me was just so fascinating to me, no other song of theirs has topped this one for me personally I think?

Wow, In Your Eyes takes me back - I was obsessed with that song when I was a kid after hearing it in a movie (surprisingly not Say Anything) and it's how I ended up discovering Peter Gabriel. I listen to Damien Rice so much that I think I forgot that other people may not have heard him before. I love his albums.

Okay so T.O.P and the line in Home Sweet Home about being welcome back wherever you are: a lot of VIP (bigbang fandom name) believe that line is to Tabi. It could be. I know Jiyong (GD) wants him back in the group as much as we VIP do. But being realistic, it could also be to his fans -- the line could be to former VIP who left for other fandoms while GD and BIGBANG were on their hiatus. Only G-Dragon knows what he meant for sure, but I love the thought that Tabi saw them perform that (he admitted in an interview that he watched their MAMA stage with pride) and felt pulled back to his family. Tabi has been through SO MUCH and deserves the renaissance he has experienced through his role in squid games. 2017 was a dark time for him and for his fans. Watching him suffer and spend the next decade hiding away and hating himself has been rough. His role in squid game has made such a difference to his confidence that I can only hope and pray that he feels whole enough to return. (He admitted in that same interview that he left BIGBANG to keep from dragging his brothers down and ruining their lives by association 😭) Jiyong has been hinting that their 20th anniversary next year (2026 is 20 years of BIGBANG?!?!?!) will see four members on stage. And while there are two former members, only one of them still has his vocals piped in during live performances like he's just not there instead of erased completely, and we all know which is which. I don't bash OT5 fans because I know how hard it is to let go of someone you loved, and it's REALLY hard to believe someone you care about could do something heinous and vile. I've seen the discourse online going back and forth over what the facts of the case are and it's all too triggering to delve into. So, I don't judge those who defend Seungri and I don't judge those who choose to separate themselves from what happened. But, at the end of the day, we all know that he will not be on that stage when they return in 2026 -- and Jiyong is still teasing us that we'll see a reunion of four. And, his lyrics in Still Life celebrate them being four -- and the BIGBANG members reference Still Life repeatedly. That song is very meaningful for them. Still Life references: It was mentioned in GD's lyrics for Home Sweet Home, Daesung had flashbacks to the Still Life set in his Universe m/v. and Youngbae (Taeyang's real name) is the only member to perform it live at every stop of his tour. The remaining three members want Tabi back as much as we do. I believe it will happen. Tabi (nickname for TOP) is releasing an album next month, I believe. It's his first EVER. If it has the success that I suspect it will, it can only further encourage him that he's not a shame to his members at all. I pray it all comes together.

Mikayla

King PLEASE listen to Lucy Dacus’s full Forever Is A Feeling album!!! If you loved bullseye you’ll love it!

Mikayla

Wait omg I’m just putting this together because I haven’t listened to Country Song in a while…. Bo mentioned Keith Urban at the beginning… Didn’t Keith and Nicole Kidman accidentally out Phoebe Bridgers and Bo’s relationship in a selfie at the Eras tour??? Funny coincidence!

Mythri Partha

It’s still my album of the year. seeing it live was life changing

SeaLights

Just a couple of responses re the BTS vid. The live with all 7 of them was at Hybe HQ. The live with Jimin & JK plus the four of them was in the same house i LA where they began the process for the next album - Hobi had just arrived i SK I think. Also JK has an IG again now. Its called mniJungkook (meaning my name is Jungkook) though he's not posted yet. He's also back on TikTok.

Leila

they are touring as themselves

I'm so excited that you reacted to London Calling by The Clash! Thank you, Heather, for gifting me your custom request! This is the title track from their 1979 album. It is basically a dystopian radio broadcast with the multiple ways the world can end. Made around the Cold War, the Three Mile Island nuclear accident, and the energy crisis, and criticizes the establishment and capitalism. So worth deep diving on, such an iconic punk anthem! This article is a great overview! https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/clash-strummer-jones-london-calling-story-behind-song

Tate

And, fun fact, it is one of the songs displayed when Hozier plays Nina Cried Power during his tour!

Leah Goodman

Damien Rice is one of my top ten artists of all time. A phenomenal talent that is simply incomparable particularly in the astonishingly emotive delivery of his songs - you described it perfectly as if from an open wound. I had the absolute honor and joy of seeing him live in San Francisco a couple years back. He started the show by just walking out and sitting on the literal edge of the stage with his guitar. No intro almost no lighting just straight into the intimate offering of his music to the crowd. Still get chills when I think about it. Worth every minute of the 6 hour drive! So glad you’re getting to listen to more of his music! Off to go watch the other Damien Rice reaction you mentioned immediately!

Ally D.

OMFG I love Grace Vanderwaal. What a talented lyricist and singer. So many of her songs make me sob. Her words are so poetic and truthful and beautiful. I would love to see you react to one of her albums!!!!

Vanessa87530

ONE OK ROCK!! I have been waiting for you to do more of them. I am glad this song intrigued you to want more. Hope you check out their latest album. They are a really great band and I actually had a chance to see them live and they did not disappoint. Can't wait for more. I became a member for your BTS journey and I love every time we get a video from them. Thanks to those who requested BTS and OOK this month!

Jayde Ritchey

LOVE Damien Rice. I hope he comes back to music again one day.
