The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is another really cute movie starring Dolly! It's more of a musical and pretty comical. Dolly once said she wouldn't do a movie if it didn't have at least one kissing scene. She was a romantic ❤️ Kenny Rogers had a beautiful voice. Fun fact, he lived less than an hour from me and I didn't know it until he passed (in the past few years) Coat of Many Colors is another great song she did. Definitely check that out. And check out her funny moments. She was INCREDIBLY quick witted!

You might remember "Islands in the Stream" from Stranger Things. Bob and Joyce danced to it. Other Dolly songs I love are "Little Sparrow" and "Coat of Many Colors" and her cover of Brandi Carlile's "The Story." Dolly was in her 70's when she did the cover, and Brandi told her singing a lower key would be fine. Dolly considered the suggestion and recorded it in a higher key than Brandi!

Apparently she wrote I Will Always Love You and Jolene on the same night. What an icon. And all the royalties she got from Whitney's version she donated to the predominately black neighborhoods of Nashville and to Whitney's charity

She will always be Aunt Dolly for us Hannah Montana fans. ❤️ Would love to actually see you react to the three episodes of HM she was in. They were iconic. And maybe even the performances she and Miley have done together. Here are some of the popular ones: Dollywood special, The Voice, Grammy Awards [2019], Miley's New Year's Eve Party [2022], and Mountain Magic Christmas [2022]. Also, it's been said that there is an unreleased song called "My Place in History" that she recorded in 2015, which has been locked away in a box at her resort, Dollywood, and will be opened on her 100th birthday in 2046. A note about Kenny Rogers. One of his biggest hits is The Gambler with the lyrics, "You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em ..." He was in a Geico commercial twelve years ago where he repeated the lyrics during a poker game, so you may have seen it or heard of it, but I would love to see a reaction to the song and the commercial. Maybe I'll add it to my requests. Loved this video. I'm glad you did it! ❤️

No one will ever deny that Whitney Houston did a great job with IWALY but the original just hits different and cant be beat. Hope you watch Steel Magnolias, it is a great movie.

Been in BTS concert bubble, but sooo excited to finally watch this. Devastated with the passing of Dolly. Saw someone post how she has won grammys, had the most amazing career, etc etc etc but when she passed no one spoke of that, the first thing that comes to mind is how incredibly kind she was. She would have absolutely loved that. The most hilarious, down to earth, wise, and honest person that truly put action to her faith ... what Jesus followers should be, not the ones that spread hate. Though I am sad she has left us I know her impact and love for the world will have lasting effects for generations. Did you see she already had a song locked up to come out on her 100th birthday?

The 2026 version of Light of Clear Blue Morning that you listened to Dolly prepared to raise money for pediatric cancer research ... I'm assuming that she was already battling cancer herself at the time. Just the absolute best human being. I'm not a crier but I've cried multiple times over the loss of her ... I've been trying to think of someone that is quite as universally loved in the same way as her and I'm coming up short. In the world with more and more billionaires I mourn the loss of someone that actively chose to not be a billionaire. As huge as she became she never forgot being part of a 12 child household with one bedroom and a father that was never able to get educated and never learned to read and write. She did everything to help her local community (all of the employees of her business have amazing benefits) and across the world (her book program went to millions of children around the world). And the list of her giving heart goes on ... ... basically any and all Dolly content you put out, I will be sat for.
