IM ABOUT TO CALL OFF WORK FOR THIS WTH BEV

Giu

I'm at work so I can't watch the whole thing now, but I skipped it just to watch you listening to some BTS for the first time! SUGA is one of the group's 3 rappers and is known for his emotional delivery and usually very raw lyrics. I love that you loved the Interlude, it's so beautiful and honest. SUGA has two solo mixtapes in which he talks about fame and mental health and his struggle to balance both in his life. I'm sure you'd really appreciate his work both as a solo artist (he goes by the name Agust D for those) and in the group as well!

Allison V

Michael, are you gonna watch SOUR Prom?!

Kyle O’Brien

Omg I’m so excited for this one yessss!!!!

sophx

Have to react to SOUR Prom ! 😍

Ashley Summerfield

I can't tell you how happy this made me. Im an ASHLEY too so I really bonded with Halsey lol. What an amazing album. It's my favorite of her 3 but definitely check out the others as well. Thanks for this.

turtlenecksok

wow! we got the first beveraggi x bts crossover. you'll never run out of content with them lmao. suga is a member of bts, 1 of 3 rappers. this is great! you seemed to really enjoy his lyrics, in which bts is also known for. really anything from bts and their solo work is great to pick to react to, and i hope to see more :)

Allison V

just on the first song, the spoken part is from a movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, from Kate Winslet’s character named Clementine! Also, if you like the lofi, you’ll definitely love the 1975!

Samantha

OMGOMGOMG i’m so excited to watch this!!! also yess put some respect on this album it’s one of my top 5 albums!! love halsey sm!

Sol Gorlero

So happy you’re getting into Halsey ! My fave albums of her are this one Maniac and her debut Badlands . So good! Your reaction to Alanis’s interlude was hilarious 🤣

viola

i’m so excited to watch this, i love halsey so much and manic was one of my top albums of 2020

kaitlyn

in the first song ashley she's actually confessing to her fans how she felt that she couldn't keep making music forever because putting all of herself into it was killing her.. and how she hopes that what she's done is enough for her fans if she did actually die. she takes on a lot of responsibility over it and wanting to be there for them, and it's even crazier when you get those lines in 929 abt how she remembers all the fans she meets but can't remember all of her lovers

Gwen

You were spot on with More. She has had several miscarriages due to her endometriosis. She actually performed once in a diaper while miscarrying. She recently had surgery to help make it more possible for her to have a full term pregnancy and now look at her!

Katie

Her debut Badlands is a masterpiece... unfortunately it triggers the fuck out of me due to the time in my life it came out, but you have got to hear it

Samantha

929 is easily one of my top 5 fav halsey songs, it’s so raw and honest and it feels like you are having a conversation with her. you definitely have to check out her second album Hopeless Fountain kingdom as it’s inspired by romeo and juliet, a lot of my favorite songs of hers are in off that album, she even did an interview with Baz Luhrmann (and zane lowe if i’m not mistaken)!!

Amanda M.

I'm so excited for you to listen to more of Halsey. She's said that this is the first album we've truly heard from Ashley instead of hearing from Halsey. "More" used to kill me, now I just imagine the love her soon-to-be-born child will live in and it makes me so happy. Thanks for such an honest reaction!

Briana Jaffe

this is very exciting to see you dive into Halsey!! can't wait to see the other album reactions eventually.

Steph

one of my favourite artists and albums. so glad you dived into this and enjoyed it !!

Sirena Phillips

I love this album and Halsey so much! You should definitely react to her other albums!

evie w

her album BADLANDS was honestly a cultural reset in 2015, it'll always be my fav of hers cos it meant so much to 17 year old me at the time. i hope you get a chance to listen to it!

Storm

Please react to Badlands, too! It is close between Manic and Badlands for me, but the timing of Badlands will always have a nostalgia factor for me. Great reaction, a pleasant surprise!

Chi

Hopeless fountain kingdom is a skinless masterpiece for me. The way I can listen to that album doing anything ever. Badlands is amazing too. This is an artist you can’t regret get into. And the stage presence is true. I’ve been to her last tour ans oooooooo boy

Ashley Summerfield

Most reactors I watch don't get it on the first listen but he did right away. The song stabs like a knife when you have the context. I can barely listen to the end when the tone changes to inside the body.

Ashley Summerfield

I'm terrified of this. I never listened to full albums until 2020 really. Maybe 30 albums my whole life I just sat down and listened to. Then in quarantine I listened to like 60 in the first few months. Taylor, Halsey, Selena, Miley Lana and anything else popular like Chloe and Halle and Doja Cat. They saved my life last year but I'm worried that one day every song from then will remind me of the pandemic and all this bad stuff. What do we do?

Ashley Summerfield

There is so much Romeo and Juliet in Halseys songs (and music videos) I hope you check out the storyline with the music videos in order to really get the full effect. Your reactions always exceed expectations.

Indrė Duobaitė

I loved this album already and listened to it a lot when it came out but your reaction is making my love for it so much deeper

Hunter Kuehn

I am so glad you are introducing Halsey! I haven't had time to watch this, but I am READY! And I hope to see more of her. Hopeless Fountain Kingdom will destroy you. And her debut it pretty phenomenal as well (you gotta do the deluxe). I'm a Trent Reznor fan so I'm pumped for the next project. I hope we get songs like Nightmare (which didn't make this album and was just a single).

Brianna

You are definitely right about “More”. It’s so heartbreaking but at the same time makes you that much happier for her and her new baby. I’m not sure if anyone else thought about this but I feel like the muffled sound at the end of the song is what her baby would hear from her in the womb, at least that’s what I interpreted it as!

Erica

I can't *believe* how little credit she got for this album. It was SUCH a reset for her in such a great way. The fact that Without Me was like the biggest song of the year and didn't get a Grammy nom is ridiculous.

Olga

Hi Michael! Was trying to watch this today and it kept saying the video is not available no matter what i tried, I was wondering if something happened to it and if it was possible to fix the error somehow? The other reactions you've done for Halsey seem to work fine ://

Katalina Muñoz

Hi! Is there a way to see this video in another platform if Vimeo isn't working? ;;

Danika Rae

Hi Michael! New subscriber so catching up on all my face reactions! Love your work btw! I just wanted to speak about forever cause no one has yet! The song it about when you first meet and start going out with someone and then chords in between the lyrics are meant to show how her emotions changed and she got more anxious towards the end and the more she thought about the relationship. she starts singing again with all this doubt about the relationship and it flows into Dominic’s interlude. It’s one of my favourites on the album and I think the anxiety is so well represented through the change of the chords in the middle, she’s brilliant!

ariel

going through all your stuff slowly and seeing you react to this album was so refreshing as a long time fan of halsey. haven't really listened to this album much since the night it dropped bc like you said it's so so raw but man is it so good. glad to see you enjoyed it as much as i did
