Julie

I couldn’t even see my screen with the amount of tears in my eyes during the end lol

Vicki

OMG FINALLY

Makenna

IM SCREAMING AT THIS NOTIFICATION MICHAEL!! Wasn’t planning on crying tonight but here we go 🥲🥲🥲

Austin Lay

Unbelievable movie. Unbelievable performances. Which song was your personal favorite?

Storm

Oh no Michael, I’m not sure I’m ready for this one tonight.

Michael Beveraggi

As of right now probably the last one. “I’ll never love again” I believe it’s called. But I’m also still REALLY emotional from that particular one so it might change after a few days. Shallows is an unbelievable song also. Also the first song Jackson sang in the bar while he was waiting for Ally

Austin Lay

On the extended version of the movie, on their wedding scene, Ally sung a song called Is That Alright. A raw version was played over the end credits. It is phenomenal. But I think that song you might be thinking of for Jackson was Maybe It’s Time?

Clarissa

Oh my god that one will hurt but i‘ll rewatch with you anyway😩

McKenna

the foreshadowing of the billboard full of nooses that can be seen out the car window behind jackson in the beginning gets me every time because upon your first watch you may not even notice it but once you know how the plot unfolds it’s such an obvious visual foreshadowing device

heather

omg yes!!!

Samantha

Yeah please make clouds apart of your next movie poll it’s such a beautiful movie and the songs in it are so good 🥺 especially since this week was the one year anniversary of its release it would be so awesome if you did it soon

Xene

and bc sabrina carpenter aaaaa that movie was so good

Marcella Raponi

Michael, I'm so sorry I couldn't watch this with you tonight, but I've watched it on two separate occasions and each time I ended up with a migraine from crying. It's just too sad for me. but I'm gad that you finally watched it. it certainly was a wonderful movie.

heather

Of course I’m a crying mess again😅 If you haven’t seen it, please add “La La Land” to the poll - it’s a great musical but just one of my favorite movies in general!

Iva Morris-Covey

If you’re doing musicals and haven’t already seen “Across The Universe” make sure you add it to your list. It’s all Beatles songs and the storyline is shaped around the timeline of the sixties and written to match their songs. It’s so good.

Robyn Epstein

This movie makes my ugly cry. I can't even listen to that last song without crying. And it takes a lot for a movie to make my this emotional. I watched this in theaters and I had no clue it was coming and I lost it.

McKenna

no matter how many times i watch this movie i always start crying during the scene where jack says he wants to get another look at ally after she lies to him about the tour being cancelled because it’s the beginning of the end, and then i start crying harder after he gives charlie the steak, and then i sob from the scene of charlie lying down outside the garage (you can see jack’s body hanging through one of the windows) until the end and by the time it cuts to jack singing “i’ll never love again” i’m a complete mess lol. one of my favorite directorial/editing choices is how in the scene of ally asking jack how he hears the song (i’ll never love again) it cuts to the next scene before jack starts singing & then the rest of that scene (him singing) is brought back at the end and it hits hard!! that moment between the two of them was truly one of their happiest just writing music together like they did at the start of their relationship but now jack’s sober & back from rehab and the future looks so bright… and then it all goes downhill and i cry <3

Emmy Lou

That reminds me!!! You have to check out Brandi Carlile she was the women that sang while Jackson was playing the guitar at the "Grammy's"

Emmy Lou

Check out "The Joke" and "The Mother" live!!

Makenna

ugh yes!!! when it cuts to jack during her performance of i’ll never love again always wrecks me 😭😭

Ana

I second this!!! Across the Universe was so beautifully shot!

Matt Tipple

As a Gaga fan, this movie has been on my watch list forever but for some reason I never sat down to watch it. I knew the music already, which is beautiful, but seeing how it was used in the film gives it so much more meaning!

grace

i had never watched this movie, how incredible. also loved that the first half of this reaction was you making finger sucking jokes and the second half was just crying

Ana

This movie is always hard to watch, but Bradley and Gaga make it so worth it. Someone mentioned a while ago the lighting always being an overwhelming red or blue hue. If you do check out Gaga’s music, you should also check out her Netflix doc Gaga: Five Foot Two either before or after her album Joanne. Maybe that could be a poll 🙂 As always, thank you for giving us content and many blessings to you and your loved ones, Michael! Take care 😁

Alexander

i love your content so much, you should totally react to the newsies proshot on disney+!! it’s a musical recorded like hamilton was. incredible music and choreography, as well as story. i think you would love it.

Paige Peasley

Lady Gaga was actually singing shallow live at one of her Joanne tours and that is how they filled that last scene of her singing it on the piano waiting for Jackson. You can even see her set up in the rafters for a second. She had a hanging walkway that came down from the ceiling but when she wasn't using it it was video of her. So cool as someone who went to that show, realizing that's how they filmed that scene was so cool.

Clarissa

I second this! I think La La Land would fit into your musical movie series amazingly 🥰

James Henry II

I went to the premiere of this movie in LA with lady Gaga and Bradley and a lot of the cast there, and I cried so much seeing this on the big screen. Gaga Is great in this, but the real star is Bradley Cooper

Julie B

Thank you for this reaction. It really shows just how versatile Gaga is as an artist. I want to chime in that Brandi Carlise is an amazing artist (that was her singing Pretty Woman.) She just put a new album out last month.

Kayla

this movie had me leaving the theatre with tears STREAMING DOWN MY FACE in the middle of the day 😭

Kayla

also jackson maine just breaks my heart. i just want him to have endless happiness 😭

Amanda Wilson

The first time I watched this movie was on a plane for a work trip and I silently bawled my eyes out and sobbed like crazy in between 2 strangers lol. Such a great movie, such a devastating ending! Watching again here I cried again of course 😭

Walmarys Rivera

I put this reaction off for literally a month (I just realized), because this is one of those movies that I can only watch once. Because even though it’s absolutely amazing, you know that it’s going to literally destroy you and you don’t want to put yourself through it again, ( The Notebook & The Green Mile are another two I feel like this about too), so I kept just putting it off and tonight was the night I said you know what I feel mentally prepared to watch Michaels reaction….. My eyes are swollen from crying 😭 GOD! Wonderful reaction as always, thank you 🥲

Kerryn Simmons

How have I never heard of this movie? Thanks for mentioning it. I will hunt it down.

Audrey

This movie is brilliant but heartbreaking and the soundtrack is amazing. Apparently Bradley Cooper worked to get his voice into a similar deepness as Sam Elliott and obviously worked on his singing. I didn't like Ally's pop stuff as much and you can see her being pulled away into stardom while his fame is waning. The performances are so good that I went to the cinema three times to see it.

DanielleM

Not sure if you knew or if you'd be interest in watching it, but there was a 1976 version of A Star is Born with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. I remember my parents watching it, I walked in and I could leave. It was just as hard to watch as this one. You might be interest in watching another musical called Country Strong
