This was perfection. I’ve been waiting ever so patiently for her to release individual music since she auditioned for X factor. Loved hearing it for the first time alongside of you!

Holy shit, why did none of these pop up on my notifications. Good thing I randomly woke up at 5 in the morning 😅 I was having such a hard time thinking about how I could request this to you and you just delivered. Aaaack.. okay now I shall watch.

Is Lauren Jauregui a poet? yes, sir. she has one of the deepest minds you can ever hear/feel/see. And it’s been evident since 5H days that she has one of the deepest minds and soul just in general as a person and not just an artist. When I first heard these songs, I felt connected to her soul like never before and just, “Yes. This makes sense. This is her. “ AND I’M SO HAPPY FOR HER!!! I was also sad that it’s only seven tracks but after a few listens, I realized that it is just perfect. Otherwise, we’ll be just too overwhelmed dissecting and digesting her words and artistry 😅 And funny you mentioned Alicia Keys, bc she auditioned with If I Aint Got You on Xfactor. I hope she made your brain hurt as much as mine did. I surely was not able to move for a few minutes after hearing all these for the first time. And you mentioned that it’s not the radio pop type thing, that’s because she’s independent. She’s free from people telling her what she can and cant do 😊 https://www.bustle.com/entertainment/lauren-jauregui-colors-prelude-ep-independent-solo-music - link to an article to read more about her/prelude Also, some of her live performances from The Moment are on her youtube if you wanted to check those out. The visuals definitely take it to the next level of understanding who she is and how these songs are in her head. Not all of it, but I hope she uploads everything.

Great reaction!! Have you heard Summer Walker? I suggest her albums “Over It” & “Still Over It” which just came out!!

Jay

I’ve always rlly loved her voice and someone i think you’d also be interested rnb wise is summer walker or kehlani and outside of rnb Chase Atlantic is rlly different but rlly good

Jay

The alicia keys reference is cool because lauren auditioned on xfactor with an alicia keys song

Yeah i wanted more songs too but it was an EP/Introduction that is why it's called Prelude. She is releasing her debut album in 2022 and I can't wait for Lauren to get the recognition she deserves. Her voice is truly so unique and her songwriting is like poetry.

Jayde Ritchey

Oooh, I didn't know she released an EP! She's so captivating. As a random aside, something about the way she sings the line "I'm only human" in Falling reminds me of the Rag & Bone Man song lol

JuliaVitoria

heyy, could you check my message?? on the private

Im so happy that my custom request led you to wanna check this out 😭 Lauren is an absolute poet and just perfection. I’m so happy you gave this a reaction because all in all she’s just overall underrated even though she’s so fucking talented. BTW the two songs that you watched her perform on Vevo are hers, not covers! She’s had multiple singles & a number of collabs since Fifth Harmony ended, so shes been putting songs out pretty consistently every year but this is the first full project she has put out, before this its been all singles with music videos only. But yeah this was amazing, I’m so happy you loved it, thank you again 💓💓

If you like this kind of music, you should check out Kehlani. I have always loved Lauren’s voice. It always stood out the most to me in 5H

Jules

Kehlani is also a feature on Zayn’s song ‘wRoNg’.
