Bangtan is life

The Bent Neck Lady and Two Storms are my favorite episodes! Two Storms is a masterpiece, easily one of the greatest of all time🙌🏼❤️ The father is a better dad then what people give him credit for. He’s doing his best under impossible conditions ! It’s so easy to judge when you don’t know the whole situation 😛

Nicolett

I’ve been having a really hard time lately since my sister passed a week ago and I gotta say watching you reacting to things has really helped. Nothing like watching a grown man get scared😂❤️

Michael Beveraggi

The fear of this grown man definitely continues! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Amanda M.

Episode 6 is such a master class in directing. I think there's only 4 cuts in the whole thing, and the first didn't happen until like, 24 minutes in. I'm excited to watch these!

Amanda M.

I'm so sorry for your loss Nicolett. My sincere condolences. I hope this video makes you smile.

Jenna

Yes, the one takes in that episode are amazing!!

onlyastarion

episode 6 is a masterpiece tbh, the way they only had a few cuts and they did that one scene for like 15 mins is amazing

cass

so excited to watch this after i finish studying for my finals! this semester has been awful for my mental health and your reactions are definitely helping me get through it. can’t wait to see what you think of the masterpiece that is episode 6!

Jenna

I kind of wondered if you might have needed an extended break from Hill House, lol! Understandable. When I first watched, it was with a friend who made me watch through episode 5 in the middle of the night and decided to go to bed straight after--the worst lol! So glad that you're pushing through! Like you've mentioned along with other comments, Hill House as commentary on mental health and the concept of time and also living/life is amazing. But also it pulling in the supernatural elements to be a real factor partnering with the metaphor--it's unmatched, in my opinion! So glad to get your reaction and thoughts on it as always. Michael!

Jeanine

The woman behind Luke was Poppy Hill that Mrs. Dudley talked to Steven about when she found her picture in the vanity.

Mina

You are so brave its crazy. Like i’ve watched so many reactions to this show and so many people were just as scared as you and weren’t able to get through it to see the amazing story so HUGE props to you for that. And omg im not religious but the closer we got to the car jumpscare scene i swear i just started praying for you. I wasnt scared at all during this show but that one got me so badly the first time i watched it so i knew it would be absolute hell for you im so sorry. Anyways this is so long but i really just wanted to make it know that i appreciate you so much for the reactions to this show because its genuinely one of my all time favorite pieces of media and so close to my heart because of all the content it portrays and i appreciate you so much for braving through your fear and sticking it out and still having the mental strength to understand the story its telling. Love hearing all your wonderful insight, youve even said things that i never noticed before so thank you.

Mina

My favorite scene at the end of two storms where nells ghost is standing there and in the bg she’s saying “i was here the whole time and nobody could see me. I was banging and screaming and nobody would listen to me” hits so hard for me as someone with depression. And it hits even harder when you realize that was what was happthe entire episode, the buttons on her eyes, the casket falling, the lights going out. She was trying to do so much to get her family’s attention and stop their arguing and have them see her and it still didnt work and its just SO devastating and so important to me and i hold this show so close to my heart its insane. Anyways after baring my soul here i am now off to go watch Hobi perform at MAMA lmao

Lara Fryer

Kate Siegel (actress for Theo) was amazing in that monologue in episode 8 following the jumpscare. It’s even better knowing that monologue was mostly if not entirely improvised by the actress herself. This show is just a well rounded show of great storytelling, characters, directing and acting.

well said! I was trying to find words to express how proud I am that he still continued after literally leaping into the air after the jumpscare… “still having the mental strength to understand the story its telling” was on point!!

Yeontan™️

I hope you survived the long ass mess that is MAMA… I know I wanted to close the stream several times 😭 the wins/performance made it worthwhile tho 💜😂

This is my first time watching and I’m really getting into it!! Thank u for introducing me to this😭 also if you need another show rec to add to your list for patreon I highly recommend the new Wednesday show on Netflix, it’s 8 episodes and a super fun ride! Not sure if you’ve seen the original Addams Family films but it’s not necessary for the show. Also the main actress is definitely on the come-up in Hollywood, she’s a total scream queen!

Charlie

Episode 6 is AMAZING. Only 5 cuts in the whole episode which is amazing especially when you think about that scene when the dad first got there and he saw them as kids and then when the camera got back on them they were adults again. The actors had to get set so quickly and quietly! Also the fact that they built the sets of the funeral home and Hill House connected specifically for this episode so that when the dad walks from the funeral home back to the past in the house they could do that in one shot too. Such incredible cinematography!!!!!!

Aninha Silva

I've watched ep 6 a few times and i just noticed that the Steve actor has a minor slip up during one dialog, it's amazing how he very very quickly corrects himself and carries on with the scene

Jayde Ritchey

The entirety of the show is great, but the back half of the season really takes the cake for me. Eps 5-10 are just perfection. I love the way all the pieces are slowly coming together. Very excited about the last 2!

Sav Miller

Thanks for reading out my comment! I’ve been really under the weather lately with an ear infection but that really made my day. 😊 Looking forward to watching these reactions—episode 6 is one of my favorites.

Sav Miller

The falling of the chandelier was the first cut in episode 6. It was a crazy long one-shot. They even built the hill house set so it connected to the funeral home set just so the dad could walk directly from the funeral to hill house without breaking the single shot.

onlyastarion

feel better soon !! i had an ear infection bc of covid a month or two ago and the two combined was horrible.

ray

ep8 really had the worst jumpscare out of all of em..

Amanda M.

Something no one else has mentioned yet is that the jump scare in episode 8 scared the shit out of the actors, too. In the scene itself, Nell wasn't supposed to pop forward until later in the dialogue, but the director told her to jump in when she wanted, so the reactions from the actresses are genuine in that moment. You held it together so well, I'm so proud of you! I think it helps that it goes from this massive, heart attack inducing scare, and immediately goes into Theo's heartbreaking explanation.

Charlie

This is my favorite little fun fact because personally if I were Theo or Shirley (the actresses) I would have absolutely started sobbing right then and there 🤣🤣🤣 I get scared so easily and I tend to like try to hit whatever jumped out at me it would not have been good lolllll

caitlin

steve not telling his wife about his vasectomy and then watching her go insane monitoring herself and trying so hard and thinking he was being kind.... ??? that is an ridiculous assessment of that situation

Joy

I forgot about the jump scare . That scared me so much.😅

E Han

I noticed it too! But it makes the scene that much more realistic because oftentimes I do mess up my words when I’m in an argument just because my mouth can’t move as fast as the thoughts in my head.

Ellis Hale

Continuously so proud of you for braving the scares 😅 I’m the ‘can each family member handle this piece of media’ person for my family as the resident horror fan and so many of them simply would not make it through this show! I honestly cherish the Nell jumpscare - finally she managed to make them stop arguing and notice her for once!

Julie B

That jump scare made me throw me earbuds on my desk. Yikes.

Soren Skogen

Episode 10 made me really annoyed when I watched it. I am curious to see if I will hate it less this time around when watching it with you
