this album is genuinely PHENOMENAL

Adam Geiser

YESSSS! I saw you post this on your insta story and was praying that you reacted to it. I’m glad that you did so that I can listen again and hear your thoughts cause I loved this project.

heather

YESS!!! Love this album so much already! Pls react to Ctrl too sometime!

Cat

been hoping for you to give sza a chance and it's finally here !! the album's so good. Excited to watch thiss

I’m still in the beginning stages of watching this reaction, but I just needed to pause and say you need to go watch Kill Bill (there are 2 movies). It’s one of my all time favorite Tarantino films, honestly probably one of my favorite films of all time. Well … it is pretty gory, so maybe not if that isn’t for you, but if it is I highly recommend.

Jade

PLEASE watch Kill Bill (volumes 1 and 2) at some point. Quentin Tarantino is a questionable person, but those films are certified classics and I think you'd enjoy watching them!

chimelle6

What a wonderful voice she has! And I really loved when she went into more of a rap flow, it felt like a nice little sprinkle popping up throughout the album. And I am definitely learning more and more that when you hear that Phoebe Bridgers is on an album to pay attention because she’s always going to add another layer. I also really loved the use of movies to set a mood before even hearing the songs. I really love when different forms of media is brought together like that, like reading a book then it being adapted into a movie or something. There is a Japanese band I’ve been wanting to get into whose music is based off of books. Just I feel like it adds a fun element.

Omgggg yes literally obsessed with this album, my top faves rn are kill bill, low, ghost in the machine, and nobody gets me

kerry berry

Also I know a lot of ppl have been commenting this on diff videos but I highly recommend the new Netflix show Wednesday after u finish the current shows, it’s seriously so so good and Jenna Ortega is way too talented

Mariana

Hi, which Japanese band? I'd love to check them out as well because books :)

Mariana

Wow this album is so good! I'm sorry to say I had never listened to SZA before (to my knowledge), which is also why I love your platform, it lets me discover so much good music. Nobody Gets Me is just perfection. Also, please watch Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2, they're chef's kiss

chimelle6

Yoasobi! I haven’t checked to see what books yet/if those books have English translations, but I hope they do!

KRP

If you have time please listen to her album CTRL I think you would love her writing even more. It is such a great and timeless album.

Maya

If you can you should really listen to her previous album Ctrl it’s worth a listen I promise you. I love me some Sza

ariel

such good movies plus maya hawke's (robin in st) mom is the main character

ariel

sza is someone i've been wanting to explore as well so i'm so excited to go on this journey together!

ariel

ok gone girl might be my favorite on my first listen

ipsssen

CTRL CTRL CTRL it’s life changing

Jayde Ritchey

Really enjoyed this! I didn't like Shirt when I saw the music video for it but listening to it in the context of the album, I liked it a lot more. Upon first listen I am definitely feeling Snooze and Gone Girl are favourites for me, but I feel like the way I enjoy the songs will ebb and flow with my moods. I was a little bit dubious about the lengthy track list, but it didn't feel too crazy long or anything.

jennptx

Whew. I need to listen to this album a few more times alone, with wine, and my own diary, because SZA is uncovering some memories I thought I was healed from...but apparently not completely. Thank you for taking the time to listen and share this album!

caitlin

cant recommend ctrl enough! sos is the perfect sister album to it, and ctrl was such an instant classic and created such a devoted fanbase for sza that we all screamed when she finally announced this one five years later and we were running to listen. shes such a special artist and if she gives us this level of quality every five years i can wait

Ema De la Lama Laviada

Pls react to RM live in Soul. He did a concert for Indigo and he invited most of the artists featured in it to perform with him. It was amazing!!!!!!

chimelle6

I understand if you don’t have time with everything else but it really is a special performance with just 200 army in attendance. If you get a chance here is a link: https://youtu.be/6ZIh3ZLbUv8. It doesn’t have English subs yet either so I would wait a little while if you would like to react to it!

Danique

This was my first time listening to SZA and while I did not love everything on this album, I added about half of the songs to my playlists. Nobody gets me and Special made me cry while so many other songs had me vibing in my chair. Thanks for the video Michael, I love discovering new music with you :)
