I might need a different starting point with Nicki

Lmao should’ve started with the pinkprint album. Way more cohesive, very personal and versatile at the same time

I definently feel like the first Pink Friday album or the Pinkprint album would have been better as a starter. She was telling more of her personal story back then and they were more cohesive. This album is more for her fans; people who already know about her life and her story. There are things in the album that you may not understand cause you don’t know the personal aspects of her life.

As someone who grew up listening to the original Pink Friday, this album was such a let down for me. I'd love if you gave the og a listen, as well as The Pinkprint

Lucille

This album was underwhelming for me too. I def agree with Pinkprint or the 1st album and you’d liking them more

As a Nicki fan of nearly a decade, I’m disappointed by this follow up to her debut album. She pushed her pen on quite a few tracks (which she always does), but overall this is my least favorite album of hers. The OG Pink Friday and The Pinkprint albums are where it’s at. You’ll like both of those much more. Her singing is MUCH more polished on the other albums as well.

Also I will say, if you’re going to get into Nicki Minaj albums you should definently manage your expectations. Yes, Nicki is considered one of the greatest, but she mainly got that title due to her verses when she featured on other artists songs (she has amaaazzzinngg features) or some of her iconic singles that are straight rap. But if you’re listening to a Nicki album, you should know that you’re gonna get a mix of hiphop AND pop. Nicki’s a very versatile artist so her projects usually don’t consist of straight rap. Think of it as like a Planet Her album from Doja Cat.You’re gonna get rapping Nicki, soft singing Nicki, and Pop girl Nicki
