Completely inane question but does RC stand for Rough Cut or something else? also disappointed you didn't commit to naming the patron versions like torrents (not actually I get it) 🤣

Probably "release candidate", like Windows used to have before the Insider program.

Correct, haha, it didn't occur to me that it wouldn't be a widely known term. Each RC is a version that I *think* is ready for release, but could get retracted (as so often happens) if I find an issue. Regarding the warez name, it was funny once, but they're VERY hard to read at a glance and it wasn't worth the gag.

I have noticed that the Firewire expansion cards only ever had multiples of 3 ports, guess it makes sense that is reflected in the chips.

Rewatching the video today. Around the 1 hour 30 second mark you have a label on the side of the unit with "16715942 Warranty Void If Removed" which is actually from the company I work for which does preowned refurbishment on a lot of industrial gear.
