Sooo...I'm starting to consider taking audio commissions. How that will work and what the price point will be, I'll have to figure out, but please let me know if you'd be interested in that.

Allowing through personal payment allows for you to manage the number and worth of the audio’s monthly.

well I can limit the number of commissions in a new tier as well.

Personally as someone who commissions people a lot. I won’t do it through a Patreon tier. For me, I don’t know if someone would actually follow up. If my commission is something they would even do. Then I wasted my money. And it just makes me feel better knowing I asked directly.

Speaking from experience, commissions via Patreon subscriptions are a bad idea. The disconnect between subscription payments and individual project completion opens the door for resentment between artist and commissioner. There's no incentive for the artist to actually finish the commission in a timely fashion if they know they are getting paid "hourly" and thus can simply milk it instead. Whereas itemizing payments per project establishes an agreed-upon value for individual commissions and provides security to the commissioner by allowing them the option to withhold payment for subsequent work until the first job is completed satisfactorily. Much less stressful for both parties that way.

Having commission slots is probably tidier and more efficient for production flow than an auto charging commission tier.
