This video was unexpected tonight and glad I caught it live! Glad to hear both sides and everyone was respectful. Made me respect the Rags team more. 🤙

As long as you send me hard copies for the support, then I don't care what you do. You would have to actually be cheating people out of what you promise for me to turn against you. Financial situations can change, and life issues come up. You seem to do well enough about warning people if there are ever problems. Transparency is also an important factor to me.

Miy Eterp

Ok, keep up and make your comics famous!

Roger Brooks

The transparency I missed is whether the Antarctic Press first print is censored or uncensored.

Majin Dozer

Was there a way to get an uncensored hard copy of issue one? I totally ignored when they were up for sale again a while back and now my life is only regret

The only uncensored issue 1 is the Tim Lim issue. However! There is a virgin variant of that going to Operators, I believe, that will be sent out sporadically. Don't quote me on that.

JT Rodgers

My first Patreon anything. I'm excited to be a part of this and help out.

Mr man man

That video was awesome major figures all in one video been fallowing all you guys comic Tom key collector and Rags love the part when he suggests that you keep going with the comic stuff when you’re done with issue 7 of rags. Hope you do. 👍

Mr man man

Oh yeah wth you didn’t keep the mech variant up on Indy planet till my next pay day. Jk LoL

After having listened to most of that live discussion, I think you guys dealt with the criticism very well. I am also glad to see that you would be willing to try to help people get some kind of hard copy that isn't hundreds of dollars. Not everybody needs special edition covers if they just want to hold it in their hands and read it. There should at least be one version that a regular person can afford. Hopefully Antarctic Press will be enough to keep the comic affordable.

Blessed as an ant

Great video! It was nice to see everyone get along and have good discussion. I look forward to see the rest of the story.

Jorge Perez

Hell yea Rags fam whatched the whole stream after finding out about your guest appearance last night. Currently picking up everything everything by AP, even third prints. But the stream inspired my to join the Patreon, I consider myself a collector and to not jump in to your Patreon head first just doesnt make sense. The art is what got me, lovin the story, wish you guys the best and good luck. That Liz is a hotti and fuck those rabbits

Emmanuel Dulay

You guys are gold! I am glad I saw the video and hearing ya'lls background is great. 12 year Veteran myself and understand when you are juggling shit and trying to make everyone happy. Keep up the good work!

Thomas Tadysak

The video was great. You cleared up a lot of WTF’s

Thomas Tadysak

well maybe you’ll get another shot down the road to clear the rest up. So what I gathered from this and discord is that the uncensored versions will go to us (Patreon) customers only and everything censored will come from Antarctic press (retail).. The LCS I use sells the Antarctic stuff. So it’s getting out there. Personally I think (if you want this to get bigger). People flipping the books for high prices only helps you cause. As for people getting ripped off buying at those prices I see this every day on EBay and at the LCS’s if the demand is there the prices go up until people stop buying. If your a comic guy look at ASM 300 & Hulk 181 etc.. etc.. their way overpriced for the amount out there but they sell every day. Just my opinion so good luck and I’ll be here probably until the end. So. 🖖

I was just heading the podcast this morning. I’m really glad I’ve been supporting you guys on here for close to a year now . Idk I’m just not a big fan ppl who only judge a book by how hot it is and how much it’ll be worth. After living through the 90s comic bubble burst I’m just jaded on that way of thinking . I really like what you’re doing by keeping certain covers to the true fans and supports .

Yeah that was the intent. Trent and I still don't feel comfortable with someone paying 200$ for what we see as a $5 book at best. In any case i think after that discussion last night we are still going to have folks angry at us no matter what we do or our best intentions. I'll just handle things on a case by case basis and hope that I'm doing the right thing.

Me either, but I cant deny some of the points Nick and Tom brought up. Like Trent said, we're completely ignorant of that side of fandom and after the podcast we learned some stuff. So hopefully this at least gets us a middle ground where everyone is happy.

Trust me on this. You will never make everyone happy. Hell Trump can’t make anyone happy Sorry for the political shit. Just a example. We’re in the Manufacturing business and the hatters are under every rock. Ignore them and caress the lovers. 🖖

Giob83

Yeah they had some good business points. There’s always room for improvement, which is good but also if you Guys want to do something special for your supporters... that’s up to guys. You shouldn’t let the speculator market tell you how you should do things 😎

New Age Ninja Corps
>>18448352

They made some good point yeah. Which we'll take into consideration moving forward now. Honestly it be dumb not to. But we are always going to er on the hopes we're doing right by you guys and you're not getting taken advantage of.

Giob83

Very true. Well, so far I think you guys are doing great keeping things running as smoothly as possible and taking suggestions we’ll . Keep it up 🤘

David Hernandez-Pineda

So first off let me start off by saying what makes a comic book very valuable is generally 3 things. First being if it's a key issue, whats a key issue? a first appearance/cameo, origin story, or story arc with huge rammifications or a significant impact (for example first appearance of wolverine, origin of knull, and the death of Bruce Wayne's parents). Second being print run, the smaller print the harder to find online on eBay which means it will go up in value over time. And the third and most important of all is which print run do you have, having the 1st original issue print (that was sold by retailers and local comic shops) makes the difference in hundreds to thousands of dollars when comparing to the 2nd, 3rd and so on reprints. And that's where the problem lies the retail print was being confused with paetron edition and scammers were taking advantage of fans and collectors with the p.o.d. version there was also assumption that they were uncensored as well. It's a good thing you guys came on and cleared the air about this whole rags fiasco because now eBay listing for the p.o.d. edition have dramatically dropped in price. But enough of my rant I just wanted say a big fan of your guys work, keep doing what you doing because you have something special here which is why I became a patron for the first time. Happy New Years everyone!

Brian and Trent, I think those of us that get it really do “get it”. It frustrates me to hear those guys talked about how you guys needed to understand how the market of comics work instead them trying to understand where you guys are coming from with dispersing your very own creation to those of us who actually want it. I have so much more I want to type, but I feel like I’ll just stumble into a rage and most of it won’t make sense. Bottom line is you guys are AMAZING!!! You are handling this the best way possible, and if it’s any consolation I am learning a lot from how you guys are handling this and passing it on to other fellow self publishing creators so they (hopefully) won’t have to deal with the same problem. Thank you so so so very much for pushing forward!!! Oh and FLY EAGLES FLY 🦅🦅🦅
