🍓 It’s Valentine’s Day again, the day that reminds you of the things you wish you had

🍓 But at least you have your friend, and they are inviting you over for a movie

🍓 Hopefully they can make today a good day

That was really sweet and funny. All kinds of love really are important but also life would be more lovely if it had more cuddles in it.

Didn't realise how much i needed to hear this. The ( maybe your not your own type ) was a tad bit of an eye opener. Nice Heart warming audio 100% Confident booster.

Awww, this was really sweet! Valentine's Day has always just kinda been one of those days. I just kinda skipped or viewed as a "couples" holiday. But this was really sweet! Even though I just ignore it, I think we get reminded of that desire to be with someone when this holiday rolls around. But romantic love isn't the only love out there, and this message is wonderful~ If you read this before Valentine's Day, then have a great one! And if you read this after then, I hope it was splendid! Edit: Also, I see what you did there! Lucy the dog giving love and affection aka "I love Lucy"!!

So, I have no idea if this will be a helpful comment, so I apologize if this fails, but I'm hoping my perspective can be helpful. Let me know if this is a miss and I'll pull it. Valentine's Day never made sense to me. I can do sweet, romantic, amazing things all year round but if I don't do something to show I care on a specific hallmark holiday, that is completely overcrowded, where everything is predatorialy marked up and overpriced, and it isn't personally connected to the person like a birthday or anniversary, that somehow that communicates some thoughtlessness, and means more than all of the wonderful random stuff I do throughout the year just because I spontaneously thought of it and wanted to do it. Nope. Fuck that. In new relationships I address this near Christmas, when nobody else cares about Valentine'sday either. If you want something on Valentine's day, you can have a card and flowers but that'll be it for the entire year outside personal celebrations and Christmas. Or you can have wonderful, sweet, random surprises scattered between Feb 15th and Feb 13th. But I'll tell you right now, I don't do Valentine's day and frequently forget it. For the record, nobody has chosen the first one and generally sees my logic, or at least understands why I see it the way I do and adjusts their expectations. I haven't done Valentine's day since grade school, and the only way I know it happens anymore is because all of a sudden there's a candy sale. Yes, cuddles and closeness would be nice today, but they'd be nice any day. This is just another Friday this year that I treat like one of those odd religious or social holidays they write on calendars. Not sure if that's helpful for anyone but it's never been a weight, expectation, disappointment, or more than a passing thought for decades.
