I think I need a new PC soon [Update] (Patreon)

[UPDATE] Hey guys, I got great news: my laptop is alright!

Just like I said before, I brought my laptop to a PC store for a check up. They opened up, and they found that the thing that made my laptop went CLAC was this thing:

If you don't know what it is, that thing was the battery of my laptop that finally gave up today.

The technician checked out my laptop, and nothing is broken, melted or out of the place. Everything is alright. So, It seems that I was lucky... For now...

I'm glad that I took the decision to take my laptop to that store today, if I waited for one more day, my laptop would be fried by now.

Now, during the check up, the technician found two things: one that kg laptop has a slot where I can insert a SSD card to my laptop. I never knew that I had that until now.

And the other (which is very tragic for me) is that I can upgrade my RAM memory from 12GB to 34GB if I buy two RAM memory cards of 16 GB each one...

If I only knew much sooner, before the RAM crisis started and the companies decided to raise the prices of the RAM cards... My laptop would be a lot better and faster by now...

Anyway, long story short, my laptop is still working! It may be old, a little slow, and may lost some of his best parts during it's glory days, but still fights like a soldier.

However, I still made up my mind to open commissions so I can save money for a new PC. I was lucky for now, but I don't know how much longer my laptop can hold.

This morning, I was working on the next page of the Equestria Girls comic (something I do with my arts and projects before going to work), when suddenly I hear a "CLAC!".

First, I thought it was my desk, but after I checked out every part of it, it looks alright. So, I thought I imagined it.

But, when I finish my session of artwork and started to pluging my external hard drive to the laptop to make a back up file, something was wrong with it. I couldn't plug in. So I check out and I met this:

I have no idea what just happened, but I was amazed that my laptop still working after that sound. So I'm going to send it to a computer shop and see if they can fix this.

You know, I had this future plan that in 2028 I was going to open art commissions to save money to buy a new computer since mine is really old (almost a decade).

But after this, I think I'll change my plans.

I'm not panicking right now. But, I'm really worry that one day, my laptop will stop working and I don't have a PC to work on my arts, anymore.

By the way, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7000. I had it since 2018, and it was a great computer in that time. But, after more than 8 years, it's getting old, it can't install Windows 11 due to its hardware, and it started to show sings that make me wonder if this laptop will last till 2028.
