Hey everyone! You might have noticed that I've been having a few issues keeping up with my upload schedule in the last few weeks and just wanted to let you all know what's been going on!

Everything's fine but it looks like I might be moving into a new place in the next month or so, and I'm having get packed and sorted for that, as well as do my full-time job, on top of the usual recording and editing. As you can imagine, this isn't sustainable at the moment so I've decided to make a couple of (temporary) changes to my schedule.

  • Friday uploads (The Boys) will continue as normal.

  • Tuesday uploads (Firefly) will continue as normal BUT will pause after the Serenity movie. Sense8, the show I'm reacting to next in that slot will be delayed until after the move.

  • Sunday uploads (MCU movies) will drop to once a month on Youtube, though I might continue to upload the full-length versions to Patreon every two weeks as I do currently, time allowing.

  • I will try to get the final three episodes of Stranger Things S4 up on Patreon in the next couple of weeks.

I might start doing regular streams once every couple of weeks on a Saturday as a regular thing, just because I enjoyed the last stream so much (and I don't need to edit it afterwards!).  That said, I'm undecided whether to keep that on my main channel (as it would be more gaming-centric, though with lots of chatting), do it on Twitch, or have a separate channel for that, with maybe some other random videos that don't fit on the main one. Any thoughts, suggestions or questions just throw in the comments below or on Discord. 🤍

This schedule sounds great and I think keep to the mcu uploads to every two weeks is great for your patreons. Can let us go on this journey with u at a good steady pace, and then can vote and poll for whatever classic franchise we go on next (or new) :)

Seconded to the above, and just to add another suggestion, a deep dive on particular filmographies from a director or an actor wouldn't be a bad way to go in the future either. Although not knowing up front what you have and haven't already seen makes it a bit hard to make suggestions (assuming you even want suggestions as you may want to just call your own shots the whole way). But if suggestions or voting is on the table, it might not be a bad idea to make a list of some sort for the patrons to let us know what's already off the table (unless of course you already have and I'm unaware). And I do get hitting the big names as that's what's going to feed the growth of your channel as well, so I'm not oblivious to the difficulties of picking what you will or won't react to. I'm just here for an honest reaction. Without naming any names, so much of what I see these days from other reactors seems so, for lack of a better word, performative. Your demeanor and focus, as well as your astute post analysis is honestly what drew me to your channel in the first place. So whatever you decide to do, as long as that's the approach, you have my support.👍

I'm absolutely up for putting things to a vote for future reactions. My problem at the moment is having limited time. Even once I've moved and am back to two shows and one movie a fortnight, it still takes an absolute AGE to get through seasons! I can make a list of movies I could react to (if we're talking about movies specifically here). Otherwise, there's this from a while ago - it was basically to get an idea of what people wanted and was open to everyone. https://www.patreon.com/posts/help-me-decide-94409980 I would also encourage anyone to suggest movies/shows they'd like me to react to. Obviously I can't cover everything but it's good to know what people are after!

Thanks so much for that link, I had somehow managed to overlook it. In regards to time, there's really no rush and hopefully as your channel grows some of your editing work can be offloaded to help speed up your output. I'm totally with you on the availability of time, it's scarce for myself as well. In regards to major motion pictures, I'd highly recommend just about anything from the following directors that you haven't already seen, as they would fall in that happy medium of consistent brilliance behind the camera yet still popular enough to draw new eyes to the channel as well. Pretty much anything from Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Stephen Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, John Hughes, and Francis Ford Coppola. All responsible for giving us some of the most landmark cinema of the last century. So many more though if you want more suggestions. If by chance you're up for some more obscure yet absolutely brilliant indie film, pretty much anything from the A24 catalogue would be highly recommended, although this would most definitely be a mix of some popular and some that most have likely never seen unless they follow independent film. It's just that up until this year and A24's announcement to go more mainstream they've been a consistent producer of some remarkable pictures that marked the start of some incredible careers for upcoming talent. They're also highly thought provoking and take risks that the majors wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. The list for actors would be quite a bit more lengthy, so I'll save it for a later time. I'm trying to keep these suggestions pretty broad as they all encompass a wide variety of genres and I'm sure you could find something there that would appeal to you. Sorry to be so longwinded, and if you ever have a question regarding a specific genre/sub-genre (action, horror, romance, drama, mystery...etc...etc...) don't hesitate to ask as I'd be happy to get far more specific, same with foreign film. Have been a film buff my entire life (52 years on at this point), and would happily offer suggestions if you're simply in the mood for a genre related pick. I also try my best to catch any longform TV as well, but you covered quite a few of the more modern picks on your list already. A few suggestions to add there would be Deadwood, True Detective, The Wire, House of the Dragon, House of Cards, Daredevil, Six Feet Under, and Dexter (that's just from the HBO, Showtime, and Netflix catalogues as they've been a pretty consistent source of quality). Hope I didn't over-inundate you with this post, and thanks for the open dialogue. Have a great week.

If there was a patreon tier for absolute watches, I would very much throw my hat in for Black Sails. It truly is one of the most underrated greatest journeys of story telling you can go on. And it really has a dedicated fan base that would appreciate the reaction rewatch. Lost, as well was my other vote :3.
