Hey all! Could you please throw any and all movie recommendations at me? Ideally I'm looking for stuff that isn't too obscure (those will need to wait until the channel is bigger) so feel free to suggest as many as you like.

I'm going to see how viable it is to do a movie reaction on the weeks I don't do MCU. 😊

Fury, Hacksaw Ridge (both war movies) Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile to name a few. Those all should also get you a good amount of views on yt as well.

Jonny2D

The Martian. It's one of my favourite films. Tends to be a very popular one to react to.

A few different channels I watch are all catching up on X-Men movies, probably hoping to be up-to-date for when Deadpool & Wolverine comes to streaming. It takes a few films to really get good, but some of the films in the X-Men franchise are arguably better than anything in the MCU. Obviously you don't have to copy what other people are doing, but it will probably help grow the channel. You could save them for later, since you're already watching a lot of superhero content.

Any particular genre you're looking for? Classics? Drama? Horror? Suspense? Comedy? Romance? I'm leaving out action for now as you kind of have that covered with the superhero stuff at the moment. I could pretty much give you an endless list of each in any category though, even in a subcategory while sticking to only popular films. For instance.... If you said "classic suspense" I'd say a good Hitchcock film like Rear Window, Vertigo, or Dial M for Murder. If you said "classic courtroom drama" I'd immediately suggest To Kill a Mockingbird or Twelve Angry Men.... Or more modern courtroom drama such as A Few Good Men, Rainmaker, A Time to Kill, or Philadelphia. If you said "must see horror" I'd immediately say John Carpenters The Thing, The Shining, The Exorcist, Ex Machina, or Hereditary. If you said "must see sports film" I'd immediately say Hoosiers, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Remember the Titans, Rudy. If you said "Sci-Fi Drama" I'd say Arrival, Children of Men, District 9....etc...etc...etc.... Sorry, it's just really tough without you narrowing it down just a bit as I could give you an extensive list in just about any category, even given a single decade to choose from (at least going back to the 50's or so), and the list would be endless without a tad more specificity. What type of movie are YOU in the mood to watch? :)

ooh interesting. Definitely something to save until after the MCU I reckon. Good suggestions!

That's a good question. Erm, I honestly don't know. I'm not a big film watcher generally so I don't really have a "go-to" genre. Totally unhelpful, I know. 🤔
