A bit of a random question but following a convo in the comments of the recent poll, I figured the answers could help others who might be trying to find the best way to do it! 🤍

When I watch other reactors, I always have two browser windows open on my PC so how about you lot? One device? Two separate devices? I'm curious how creative you get with it.

Either two windows open on my oversized computer screen (basically a tv plugged into my PC tower) or split screen side by side on my mobile device.

I use an ultrawide monitor. For the source video, I set it to the left half and then I adjust the width until the video fills the frame. I'll usually stop somewhere around a 2:1 aspect ratio. Then I activate PIP mode for the reaction video and fit it to the remaining space to the right.

It depends on the movie. If I have seen it before and I feel like I don’t need to watch the movie full size, I will have the movie overlayed on top of the reaction video, like having Picture in Picture mode on top of the reaction video. That makes it easier to sync too. If I do want the movie full size, I will usually do split screen, with the reaction video only taking up 15-20% of the screen width. Though I have occasionally done dual devices with tv+ laptop. Edit: whoops, accidentally deleted my comment when I meant to edit. Wanted to add that I like using one browser because there is an extension that allows me to pause both movie and reaction videos at the same time so they keep in sync.

I watch the original content on my TV, and I have you on my tablet nearby, usually invoking a "matey" or two.

Two monitors. My copy of the video on one (full screen) and the reactors' on the other (full screen). I use my copy for the movie soundtrack and only the commentary on the other monitor. It helps when I can see enough of the movie in the background to synchronize the two, because even though you start at the first frame of the actual movie. sometimes during playback they can get out of sync, like accidentally pausing one video, or otherwise disturbing the sync. When that happens, if the times codes don't match, it's really difficult to re-sync the videos. With enough of the movie showing in the preview window, it's much easier to manually re-sync them.

On a windows pc. Reactor is full screen in Firefox, the movie or episode is played on SMPlayer portable. Sync the videos, make sure volume is a bit less in SMPlayer than the reactor so I can hear the reactor's reactions & commentary.

72" tv for the movie, with a 42" tv directly below the movie for the reaction. OR , I'll use 3 ipads to watch 3 different reactors at once. 4 if I use the tv too.

I watch your reaction on my computer and the show/ movie on my TV.

Two different browser windows, one with the reactor and one with the movie.

I have you reacting on my left monitor and the movie/show on my right monitor. When I only had 1 monitor I would have 2 browser windows open and just have the movie/show slightly bigger
