YoureMrLebowski

These are all great choices. Interesting that two are about Brits and you're a Brit.

James Rogers

A great roster for sure. I must admit I'm partial to 'Empire'. Some more recommendations? All That Jazz (1979) Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999)

Brian Jones

Crossing fingers for Whiplash on this one.🤞🤞

I have the strangest endorsement for “Empire”. My girlfriend at the time (now my wife) and I were very excited about seeing this in the theater. We went on a rainy Sunday afternoon, planning to get an early dinner afterwards. We came out afterwards stunned into silence. We went back to our apartment and sat in separate rooms for the next 2-3 hours, barely speaking or even acknowledging each other. Eventually, we got hungry and picked up food. Over dinner, we agreed that it might be the most visually and emotionally stunning film we had ever seen. We were both very moved - but we didn’t want to talk about it. Until I saw Grave of the Fireflies, this film had the unquestioned top place on my “must watch once” films list.
