A due update to let you guys know the plans for this month! Last project really left me with a need and desire to improve my workflow further when it comes to animating so I've been practicing more animating methods. Biggest reason why is that the transitions that I did in the last animation were really messy and hard to animate the way I usually animate, which is called 'straight ahead' so I went back to the basics and started learning animating pose to pose which should help not just with transitions, but general structure of pretty much the entire timeline in blender. I don't think either method is completely superior as both have strengths and weakness, but a mix of the two should provide much better solutions to some of my animation issues.

A good way to test how the new workflow will treat me should be the animation challenge that Nyl is hosting once again this month. For those who don't know, it's basically a 3 day animation challenge where you need to do one animation per day. We still didn't decide the exact date of the challenge, but it's happening this month which I look forward to!

As always, thank you very much for the support and stay safe out there!

Thanks for giving us too, a break in between all the nutting 😂 You're one of the best !

Can you explain what straight ahead animating means? I'm curious!

Looking forward to it! While I do enjoy and encourage you to continue exploring longer and more involved scenes, there is a part of me that misses the stand alone animation scenes. Can't wait to see what you put out!

Seems like that would be a fun challenge. Any idea of what characters you're going to use?

It's kind of animating as you go from the beginning of an action to the end of it as it's easier to perceive the motion of everything since you're focusing on motion rather than poses compared to pose to pose. One big issue when it comes o straight ahead is that it feels rather unorganized and even chaotic at times when it comes to how the keyframes are placed and how readable they are. You obviously have poses you wanna hit, but you hit them as you go along the way.

Martha for first one, Galatea for second and third I'm thinking Aylin and Karlach atm.

I've been loving the challenges so far (I know this isn't the newest post, just felt like it made sense to write here). Is the Zatanna/Hawkgirl project still in the works or did my blind ass just miss it?

Amazonium3D

No worries lol, it's on hold atm. Also, I'd recommend better to send me a message here on patreon whenever you have a question since these comments on older posts are very easy to miss.

Thanks. Absolutely love your work!! ❤️❤️ All the animations I am seeing on your Patreon page are 85% or more on line. And actually some of the best full length animation is online and not on your paid Patreon site. I was really hoping for full length animations new and old. What am I missing? Please advice.
