The story deepens

I'm hoping that it all comes together in issue 5 - but I'll confess that the overall order of the story is throwing me off. I think I get what you're doing, and probably other people are following it better than me. So I'm not saying you're doing it wrong - it's more on me and my inability to not think linearly. The art, of course, is still incredible and fun.
