New Chapter for The Witch and the Sorcerer!

This world is stuck in an eternal cycle, even the so called Gods are not exempt from it, for those who cause pain will turn the love of others into hate, and that hate will produce more pain, and the cycle goes on...

Sometimes i do ask myself, is the answer to this problem to stop loving altogether?

-Passage from the "Effigy of the Gods of Destruction" by the Blue Rain

Truly a magnificent and heartbreaking chapter, you've definitely outdone yourself!!

If i have learned one thing from this story than it is that if I try predicting what's going to happen i'm either 1 wrong and it's even better than I imagined or 2 I'm right but it's still somehow better than i thought it could be

Apollosynthesis

You know I probably shouldn't have been bingeing rezero for the past few days before this chapter. Here i thought I could just sit down and enjoy the finale of this mini arc without the trauma. Fuck me in particular I guess lol anyways I do appreciate how they got absolutely obliterated. Its a good contrast to see there are actually stakes in battles without satoru. Also is now a bad time to say that I always read Vulmitar as Vultimir? I dunno, my brain is stupid like that lol

AAAALLLL100

Well I must say I sow it coming. And I love it. It was clear someone will die a 5 level more and it would have been impossible to win. They only won due to having more numbers and skills than by power.

Enderattack

This whole chapter was an emotional Rollercoaster! Awesome chapter :)

I’m kinda surprised they won that battle as the enemy was lv50 kinda a weak mount for a lv100 player but maybe it got the pikachu treatment and I guess since none of them are over lv35-50 with Riyuro lv30??and vulmitar lv25? But since he’s a dragon with stats that could rival that of lv30s note he’s not the strongest in the frost dragons siblings due to him specializing in magic and a neet with a 20lv difference they should get destroyed which they got but I guess they got better rolls with fate Sad about the fates of their lovers(especially ash) kinda hoped they joined in the party to make the new 13 heroes Nice chapters

If I had to guess the fact that the monster was already slain is the main reason they were able to win this fight. It seems like someone already killed it, but left the corrupted sword in it bringing it back as an undead. Since it was brought back through such weird means and not even by an actual necromancer it seems like it might have been weaker than its original level 50 self or at the very least not able to use its strength with the same effectiveness. Either way it was a great fight and I agree about how sad it was. Also your pikachu example is great. I can totally see a level 100 keeping a mount a certain level just for that reason.

Yes and no, the Hyvern would have been a bit smarter and stronger alive, with better resistances to fire etc, but it also wouldn’t have the crazy regeneration given by the sword’s influence, and also be vulnerable to bleeding unlike an undead. So it has its ups and downs

Also, it’s not out of this world a level 50 mount would be used by a level 100 player. Look at Ainz in the main story using soul eaters constantly to get around. I would also want to ride something that is essentially king gidorah. Also, if I had to guess, the hyvern was slain by the dark knight but eventually came back after absorbing the negative energy from his sword. Why else would Rigrit tell the group about this location? This was a test to prove themselves and the provide some realism/complexity to their goals.

Honestly I was expecting Dead, I wasn't expecting the undead, but I admit that with the pure resurrection of the creature and the level difference it was to "make it more feasible". . . . Damn thoughI didn't expect the two couples to split up like this... I had set my Dead Pool on someone else. YAY FOR LONG-TERM TRAUMA

Well this was heart wrenching. I feel most sorry for Rayne. He's going to be living with this guilt forever, knowing even if prompted, that he chose the life of one girl he loved over another. And the girl he did pass over, at that moment in time, was the one that was willing to give up her lifelong dreams and everything that defined her to be with him, because that was the extent of her love for him. Whereas Arche was not able to give up her way of life and the future she was headed in despite loving him. This is going to be a knife that keeps twisting deeper into the heart of a 13 year old boy. Time may heal the wound but he will forever be scarred. I look forward to seeing Bone daddy's reaction to the events of this arc when he finds out.

Loved this chapter and I can tell you’ve improved your combat writing. What I like about this story is that there is consequences to taking on overwhelming odds, unlike most battle shonens where everyone is unexplainably fine at the end. Any hints on what the next arc is going to cover? ;)

fight

I wanted to ask especially bc this was a kind of training arc if we can get an update on the level everyone is on

ZeroSenpai Writer

Planned an update on that in the next chapter seeing how that is the official end of the arc

fight

Color me more excited for the next chapter than usually then

Dam it, unfortunate what happened to Ashe, and really bad for Rayie since he technically had a hand in her death. So he is going to be very scarred from that. Also, just a suggestion for drama, but you could have some tension in team 9OG with Rayie Parsale blaming Lakyus for Ashies ' death because she did not give him the order to, or she did not contact Satoru for help. Also, if she were not in a battle rage state, she might have been aware enough to see Archie is in danger and move to help her. He could also do this because he is young and the trauma/grief results in him throwing his pain at Lakyus—just a thought.

Fantastic chapter! The choice to include a soundtrack was a good one, really added to the battle and the aftermath. That's Hiroyuki Sawano for ya! The fight scene was well put together and everyone had their moments, nice one. Sucks that, like an anime original movie, love interests need to get killed off. It'll be interesting to see how this impacts Rayne and Arche's relationship. Too bad Lakyus won't get that future Kaelin saw, that was a gut punch of a ending to her story. I wonder if she'll ever have the courage to allow herself to feel that way about another? Can't wait to see what you do with the guilt stricken girl, will she loose sight of herself in the pursuit of power to keep her loved ones safe? Only time will tell...

Me encantó <3. Odio los dramas románticos adolecentes, cuando leí los capítulos anteriores pensé ojalá se mueran todos, y de verdad los mataste gracias uwu.
