It was one of the first games I beat, I speedrun it to this day, and I always find myself coming back for more. Slider is one of the most prominent songs in the game so I didn't take on covering this song lightly. Carlos came to San Diego and with the recent release of Mario Maker 2, we thought it'd be a perfect opportunity to take this one on! Carlos introduced me to the impressive world of the Gospel Shout style, which ended up being the inspiration behind the arrangement. We really wanted to have just an absolute apeshit arrangement. I'm always trying to create contrast in arrangements to make the crazy parts sound crazier so I added a few moments of break right before getting right back into it. Having Carlos to shred the parts with me really opened up a lot of possibilities for distributing all the parts. This is a really important song for me and we wanted to make it equally as silly and awesome as the original. Hope you enjoy what we did with it! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow me! 🐦 https://twitter.com/FamilyJules7x 📘 https://www.facebook.com/FamilyJules7x/ 🕹 https://twitch.tv/familyjules 💬 https://discord.gg/xMgpwd6 📷 https://www.instagram.com/familyjules7x If you'd like to support me, pledge to me on Patreon or buy my music! 🧡 https://www.patreon.com/familyjules7x?ty=h 🥁 http://familyjules7x.bandcamp.com/ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Proudly endorsed by: Ernie Ball Strings (https://www.ernieball.com/) Schecter Guitars (http://www.schecterguitars.com/) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Composed by: Koji Kondo Filming by: Corey Dyer (http://www.twitter.com/corey_dyer) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Instruments Used: Lead Guitar: Ernie Ball Majesty Monarchy Series Rhythm Guitar: C-7 Multiscale SLS Elite Bass: Schecter Diamond-J 5 Interface: Axe-Fx II XL+ Mixer: Makie ProFX12 Microphone: Shure SM7B + Audio Technica AT2020 Audio Software: Cubase 10 Video Software: Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 Video Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH5s Check out my entire list of equipment here: https://kit.com/FamilyJules7x
