I've waited a long time to return to this one and with Halloween coming up, I decided it's finally time! Corey and I had a lot of fun with the set design for this and I really dialed all my new tones in for this to be the cleanest and shreddiest mix I could muster! I hope you enjoy! Thanks so much for all of your support, you guys help make things like the possible!

Bloody Tears - Castlevania II: Simon's Quest | Cover by FamilyJules

Bloody Tears Castlevania II Simon's Quest Metal Cover by FamilyJules 🩸 ▼ winner winner, wall chicken dinner ▼ 🩸 (Tabs For All Parts Available on Patreon!) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Get this cover! 🎵 http://www.bit.ly/BloodyTearsFJ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Happy Halloween, kids. Nine years ago when I started this channel, I released a Castlevania medley that featured a lot of classic Castlevania tracks that I've since really wanted to return to. This year, I've been going back and revisiting old songs from medleys to give them full song treatments for those of you who really want to hear extended versions of these songs I just touched on. Bloody Tears is one of the most famous video game songs and also one of the most popular to make a metal cover of. Corey and I had some fun with the video, I challenged my self to keep the lead guitar the focus with the arrangement and not rely too heavy on letting the rhythm guitar or bass have to pick up any slack. I originally wanted to just film the leads, but old habits die hard and I opted this time to just do close ups for those. Extending short songs is always a challenge, but it's what really keeps me coming back to video game music for covers. It allows you to both have room for a literal recreation, and also to have sections where you can go off with it. I feel with most other songs you don't really get that luxury unless you want the cover to be very long and drawn out. With this cover I had a lot of things in mind that I wanted to do going into it, but once I started laying down arrangement, the song kind of took it's own direction and instead of fight it, I let it become what it wanted to be in my hands. I really enjoyed messing with the chord progressions and taking a full solo. Hope you guys dig what I did with this classic! I'm also going to take these strings off and burn them. No one should ever have to play in F standard for any other reason. Masterful! Great fresh take on an eternal classic. I love how you balance densely layering a ton of stuff into the song while keeping the core super clean and recognizable!
