I'm finally taking the dive into releasing my original songs! Happy 2022 everyone and I hope I didn't keep you guys waiting too too long. I'm gonna be releasing covers in the beginning of this year relating to projects I've done that I've either not uploaded to the channel, or composed for games! I hope you enjoy!

This one was a song I did back in 2019 for a VR game called Sharks of Mars. I really enjoyed writing it, so I used it as a practice of micing a real amp and cab which I'm hoping when I bet better at, will sound way better than my Axe FX III ever has! Thanks so much for your support and encouragement to take this leap into the deep end!

I took a nice break to recharge and work on a ton of projects for this year that I can announce soon! I'm going to be easing back into regular content for this channel with some already made tracks starting with my first original on the channel! In 2019 I was super busy with Replay as well as other projects, but a game company approached me and asked if I'd compose for their VR game. I told them I was really busy, but then they told me it's a VR game where you shoot sharks on mars, so naturally I dropped everything to write this. I had a ton of fun just making brutal chuggy low tuned riffs with synths. I constrained myself to a very particular chord progression. If you feel like the song doesn't really move that much, it's by design. Analyze the chord progression and maybe it'll get a laugh out of you, hopefully. This is also my first cover with REAL AMPS! :o I was able to snag a Mesa Boogie JP-2C+ head and I ran it through an oversized Mesa cab for rhythms and a 1x12 Hughes and Kettner for leads. I tried using the Fredman mic technique, but struggled to get a sound I liked so I actually just did an off center position for the leads for it's mids with a 57 and a 57 dead on the center of the speaker on the mesa cab. Sounded okay, but I can't wait to get even more practice this year. Please be gentle, it's my first original song on the channel! I'm really going out of my comfort zone to cast this out into the... uh... sharks... ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Proudly endorsed by: Ernie Ball Strings (https://www.ernieball.com/) Schecter Guitars (http://www.schecterguitars.com/) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Composed by: Jules Conroy ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Instruments Used: Lead Guitar: Ernie Ball Majesty Monarchy Series Rhythm Guitar: Schecter 7-String Multiscale Bass: Schecter Diamond-J 5 Interface: Axe-Fx III Bass: Neural Parallax Overdrive: Ibanez TS9 Rhythm Tone: JP-2C+ Crunch - Mesa 4x12 Oversized Lead Tone: JP-2C+ Solo - TubeMeister Hughes & Kettner 1x12 Mixer: Makie ProFX12 Microphone: Shure SM57 Audio Software: Cubase 11 Video Software: Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2022 Video Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH5s Pick up some of my equipment from Sweetwater: http://bit.ly/2OK3Ldt Check out my entire list of equipment here: https://kit.co/FamilyJules7x #FamilyJules #SharksofMars #JulesConroy
