Commission tier changes coming in November (Patreon)
Content
hey guys! I hope you've all been doing good :D
with fatsona: breakout entering dedicated development, I've decided that it's time to make some big changes to the commission tier. right now, it really isn't in my best interest to offer value commissions at a frequent basis, since I am making a solid effort to divert a majority of my work time to bigger projects as opposed to commission work
as I discussed in june, the commissions I have done have been consistently over the level at which I priced them/offered them at. additionally, the fact that the tier has been above the sold-out threshold since I lowered the slots 4 months ago gives me reason to believe it's been too good of a deal; at quite frankly my own expense. this, plus my reasoning above hopefully makes the following changes understandable:
tier price will be changing from $50 -> $44 per month
"shaded sketch commission" will now be labeled as "colored sketch commission" since a majority of them have been colored, and I will operate with that going forward
patrons can claim a commission once every 3 months (up from 2)
total commission cost: $100 (over 2 months) -> $132 (over 3 months)
its my hope that this new system can keep things feeling relatively similar for the patrons, while making huge reductions to the commission load on my end, freeing up incredibly valuable worktime for me. these changes are planned to come in November and do not apply right now!
For Patrons with claimed commissions: You're all good! I won't ask for any more payments or recompense for claimed commissions.
For Patrons with 1 month payment at the $50 going into November: You can claim a commission after November's payment for a 2 month cycle, but starting in December you will be on the 3 month rate.
For Patrons with unclaimed commissions: Coming in with commission requests after November comes will be valued at the new 3 month rate. Please make sure you claim your commissions/ work something out with me beforehand!
thank you for reading! my apologies if this is disappointing in some ways, but I hope my reasoning makes sense and is understandable <3 I appreciate you guys, and thank you very much for the support!
