I'd join if things are kept interesting in there with the right channels for specific topics to discuss.

A discord server could be a huge step of expanding your community. It could also offer to people, who are not your patreons or who don't have a twitter- or other social media accounts, an alternative way to see your works and such. There aren't really any that negative outcomes about creating one.
