Chapter 1
(8 Hours Later)
About half a day had passed from what it was now being referred to as the Uchiha Incident by the rest of the village.
When Anbu arrived along with the Hokage they had been surprised when they had found me and Izumi huddled inside one of the homes.
After making sure we were alright, we had been ‘asked’ what had happened with me and Izumi telling them the truth that Itachi had gone insane and attacked us. How I had managed to save Izumi by hiding her under the floorboard and how I had tried to lead Itachi away from her before being attacked myself.
Seeing my ripped and bloody shirt they immediately believed me but became skeptical at how I had managed to survive such a wound. Luckily thanks to Hiruzen’s bleeding heart no doubt, he had stepped in and told us we could talk about that later once we were properly checked back at the hospital.
Unfortunately, since we were being monitored at all times, I still hadn’t had the chance to tell Izumi about the Company, where I had sent her that night and the truth about the massacre. All Izumi knew was that I was the only friend she had left in the whole world and having memories of us playing together as children. Memories which were no doubt installed there by the Company.
Which leads us to now with me sitting down on a bed with Izumi to my bedside quietly peeling an apple for me as we talked quietly.
“Here.” Izumi said passing me the plate full of apple slices.
Taking it from her hands I set it down on my lap. “Thanks.” I responded quietly.
“Where will we live now? I don’t think I can go back to my old home.” Izumi asked sounding a bit sad.
Turning to look at her I saw her look at the corner of the room for a moment with her eyes letting me know we still had a ‘guest’ with us having spotted him with her Sharingan no doubt.
“Unfortunately, I don’t think we have a choice. Since we haven’t graduated from the Academy yet to start taking missions, we have no choice but to bear with it for now.” I said with a sigh feeling a little worried as we technically didn’t have any money between us and I would be receiving no monthly payment from the Company due to an Intensity setting.
A knock on the door interrupted our conversation and as one we turned towards it watching as the Hokage opened the door before stepping inside.
“How are you both feeling Akari-kun, Izumi-chan?” He asked kindly with a grandfatherly face.
‘That’s a ninja alright.’ I thought silently noticing that I could spot no other emotion on the old man’s face other than what he was displaying right now.
“We could be better I guess but overall, we’re okay.” I said with a small shrug of my shoulders answering for both of us.
“I’m just glad that you are both still speaking after what you went through last night. Know that my door is always open if you ever need someone to speak with. Through my years I have found that speaking about your problems with someone is the best solution so we can begin healing.” Hiruzen said coming to a stop at the food of the bed.
‘You old fuck, don’t pretend like you have no blame for what happened tonight.’ I though with a blank face while I extended my hand and held Izumi’s own giving it a squeeze in the hopes of keeping her calm.
Unlike myself, Izumi couldn’t completely hide her emotions as I saw her eyebrow twitch slightly when the old man had given us that speech.
“Thank you, sir.” I nodded my head in thanks before looking at the man in slight worry. “Hokage-sama, are we the only ones who…”
Smiling a little sadly at my question, the Hokage sighed pulling out his pipe and inhaling quite a bit of tobacco before blowing it out and responding to my question. “I’m afraid that other than yourselves, only little Sasuke-kun survived this ordeal. He didn’t have it as easy as you two however as he is still in a coma.”
“I see.” I said quietly with my face facing down.
“Sir, what’s going to happen to us now?” Izumi finally deemed to ask looking at the Hokage with a serious expression on her cute face.
“Not to worry.” He said giving us a reassuring smile that unknown to him, did nothing but anger us. “You both will be given a stipend until you finish the Academy and are able to take on missions. As to your living conditions, you can either return to your previous homes or I can find an apartment for you.”
“What do you think Akari?” Izumi asked as she turned to face me.
“I think we’ll stay home for now thanks. Well… as long as all the bloodstains get cleaned up first that is.” I said after pretending to think about it for a moment.
“The cleanup of your home is being handled as we speak so you should be able to move back in starting tomorrow.” The old man answered with a small grimace.
“Thanks again sir.” I said with a small bow of my head and Izumi to the side of me also giving a halfhearted one of her own.
Then straightening up my face turned worried as I looked to the sides a few times as if looking for any eavesdropper. “Umm sir? There is something I want to talk to you about. It pertains to how I managed to survive Itachi stabbing me last night.”
Raising an eyebrow in curiosity, the Hokage took on a more serious look with his hands folded behind his back. “Oh? Very well Akari-kun, I’m all ears.”
Looking at the corner of the room where I could still feel the hidden Anbu I fidgeted with my hands for a moment before looking at the man once more to see him with a curious look on his face no doubt having noticed where my eyes had strayed to.
“C-can we speak in private sir? What I have to reveal is a little shocking and I’m still having a hard time coming to grips with it myself.” I pleaded looking at the corner again and not missing when the Hokage narrowed his eyes for a fraction of a second.
“Hmm, you can sense them, can’t you?” The Hokage asked rhetorically before with a wave of his finger the presence disappeared from the room. “There we go, now what did you wish to share with me?”
“Thank you for your trust, sir.” I thanked him again letting my shoulders sag a little as if in relief before looking at him straight in the eyes.
“To be honest sir, I came really close to dying last night but just when I thought everything was over something happened.” I revealed looking down at my stomach and touching where I had been stabbed.
“Something happened you say? Curious. Did you perhaps awaken a hidden bloodline?” Apparently, he wasn’t called the Professor for nothing as he immediately came to the right conclusion and probably seeing the look on my face, he let out a small chuckle in amusement.
“When you have lived as long as I have, you tend to pick up on a few things but never mind me. You were saying?” Hiruzen explained briefly before urging me to continue.
“R-right.” I said with a nod before humming in thought for a moment and turning to look at the old man who was looking at me with a patient smile. “Sir? Would it be alright if I just showed you? Seeing is believing as they say.” I asked curiously.
“But of course. Since you seem to be in full health, I don’t see any problem with it.” He responded immediately not looking suspicious at all to my eyes.
Nodding my head, I finally released Izumi’s hand realizing that I was still holding it before pulling the covers off and slowly getting on my feet. Then turning to the Hokage again I took a deep breath and formed the snake seal while muttering quietly.
“Mokuton: Moku Bunshin.” Ignoring the slight gasp coming from the front of the room I watched as two wood clones appeared behind me before gaining color and turning into exact replicas of myself.
Taking a proper look at my clones I took a moment to properly take in my new appearance. All in all, I looked almost like an exact clone of the original Rimuru only with my face looking more masculine and my hair being short and spiky. Now that I looked more closely, I looked nothing like a typical Uchiha with my hair being a light color instead of brown or black and my eyes being a bright golden instead of the common black or brown.
Turning back to face the Hokage, I saw him looking at me in genuine shock as if not quite believing what he was currently seeing.
Getting a little uncomfortable at the prolonged silence I coughed into my hand once grabbing the man’s attention. “A-are you alright sir?”
“Ahem, forgive me Akari-kun.” Hiruzen said with a shake of his head and even taking another puff of his pipe. “It’s just been a long time since I saw that bloodline.”
“I understand sir.” I said with a nod of my head. “Continuing on where I previously left off. Just as I thought that was the end for me my body it…it-”
“It healed on its own I’m guessing?” Hiruzen finished for me and seeing me nod continued. “I see, so you have truly inherited Hashirama-sama’s power.” He finished with a low mutter before looking at me a little more seriously.
“Akari-kun, would you be willing to do a blood test? Depending on the results, you might not have to go back to your old home.” Hiruzen asked with a tempting offer once again proving to me that underneath that kindly façade, was a battle-hardened veteran that had lived through 3 world wars.
Looking at Izumi for a moment I saw her nod her head lightly at me in support so with a nervous smile I turned back to the Hokage and nodded my head.
“Alright. I just ask that you yourself or somebody you trust are there to make sure my blood is not used for anything else. I have heard plenty of times from others that Shodaime-sama had the rarest bloodline and I really don’t want to bring too much attention to myself right now.” I explained.
“A nice mindset to have Akari-kun.” Hiruzen praised me with a smile. “Don’t worry though, I was already planning to handle this matter myself so you have nothing to worry about.”
“Thank you, sir.” I thanked with a small bow of my head.
“Now if you excuse me, I must return to my duties. I will return a little later so we can handle the matter of the blood test.” Hiruzen excused himself walking towards the door before stopping just before opening it.
“Oh, and Akari-kun, Izumi chan? Please keep what you just revealed to me a secret from anyone.” Hiruzen ‘requested’ turning to look at us over his shoulder with a smile on his face not at all hiding the sternness in his voice.
Knowing an order when I heard it, I just nodded my head with Izumi beside me doing the same.
“Good, good, see you later you two.” With those parting words the hokage finally left leaving us alone.
Absorbing my clones back into my body, I made my way to the bed again and sat down with Izumi joining me a second later. Still being young we were both able to fit in the bed with room to spare as we cuddled close together with Izumi resting her head on my chest.
“Are you sure it’s wise to trust him?” Izumi whispered as quietly as she could.
Using my sensing abilities, I made sure we were still alone before responding. “It’s risky but if I prove myself a valuable asset to the village then the Hokage will be more willing to protect me and consequently you from other dangers.” I muttered back just as quietly as I gently ran my hands through Izumi’s soft hair.
“I still don’t like it. How can he just act so normally after our clan was almost destroyed?” Izumi said bitterly as she had lost her mother last night leaving her an orphan like myself.
“I don’t either but we must bear with it for now. I’m not yet strong enough to avenge our clan.” I whispered turning my head slightly and kissing Izumi in the side of the head.
“I know, I just hate it. I feel so weak at not being able to do anything! I came so close from losing you as well if it hadn’t been for your other bloodline awakening at the last second.” Izumi said with her hands curling up into tiny fists and burying her head more deeply into my chest.
Feeling the chakra signature of the Anbu return to his previous spot I silently cursed at not being able to tell Izumi what I really wanted before blinking as I remembered something.
Using my free hand, I gently tilted Izumi’s face up allowing me to see her teary face. Ignoring the stab of pain in my heart for a moment I silently activated my Sharingan and looked her straight in the eyes.
‘Don’t worry Izumi. In the future I should be able to resurrect everyone that died yesterday so there’s no need to cry.’ I promised with a smile on my face getting a silent gasp from her.
Seeing her mouth about to open with a question, I gently put my finger over her lips keeping her silent and making her look at me with confusion.
‘The Anbu is back in the room.’ I explained simple getting a look of understanding from her. ‘I will explain more in detail once we’re somewhere we can have some privacy.’
Getting a nod from her I pulled away my hand from her lips and deactivated my Sharingan canceling the genjutsu I had placed Izumi under and went back to cuddling with her.
Pulling up my HUD, I took notice that with the events of last night my AP (Added Potential) Indra’s Chakra had gone from tier1 all the way to tier6 with the acquisition of my EMS (Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan) and after stealing about 20 sets of Sharingan eyes from the corpses.
I had even gotten lucky enough to acquire a pair of MS from none other than Fugaku Uchiha and gaining access to the Tsukuyomi along with strengthening my ability with Amaterasu and my Sharingan as a whole.
‘Hopefully I won’t have to wait dozens of years for my Rinnegan to awaken just like Madara.’
With that last thought I went back to more important matters.
Mainly comforting the cute girl currently using me as a body pillow.
