Chapter 13
We appeared a moment later just outside the office to the Hokage.
Immediately upon doing so I heard two groans and felt two hands let go of me. Looking at the source of the noise I wasn’t surprised to see Yugao and Yakumo hunched over the wall while holding their stomach.
“Aaagh why can’t you just travel like a normal person?” Yugao asked weakly.
“My s-stomach…”
“Whoa! Was that a Jikukan (space-time) ninjutsu Sensei?” Hanabi asked in wonder not appearing bothered at all and was instead looking at our surroundings curiously.
“Amazing~” Hinata whispered quietly to herself also unaffected by the technique.
“Sure was.” I nodded my head before walking towards the door and opening it without knocking first since the old man was already expecting us anyways.
“Ah, Akari. Good, good. I have an important mission for you and your team.” Hiruzen said without preamble and getting straight to the point.
Nodding in silent greeting to the man we came to a stop right in front of his desk. “Of course, what are the mission details?”
“I want you and your team to go and back up Kakashi and his team on their mission to the Land of Waves. The client seems to have lied on the mission details and instead of a C-Rank, the mission is now A-Rank.” Hiruzen briefly explained getting surprised gasps from my cute Genin.
“Whom did he encounter?” I asked with a raised eyebrow. ‘There’s got to be more to it than that surely. While the wave mission was dangerous, it shouldn’t be to the point of having to send another team as back up.’
“Zabuza Momochi, a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.” Hiruzen revealed letting out a big puff of smoke from his pipe.
“Tsk, if he wasn’t such a lazy ass, Kakashi would have been able to easily take care of him.” I said in distaste to the surprise of my team.
It was the truth though. If Kakashi had kept up with his training since he was a kid then he would easily be at Jiraiya’s level or even stronger by now. That Zabuza of all people was giving him trouble was just embarrassing.
“Now, now. Not everyone is as talented as you in the ninja arts. Besides, Kakashi has his reasons.” Hiruzen said lightly in defense of the man.
“Haah whatever. So, when do we leave?” I said wanting to get this meeting over with.
“As soon as possible.”
“Very well.” Turning to my team who were watching our conversation with rapt attention I addressed them. “You have half an hour to get everything you might need for an extended mission before meeting me at the main entrance. Dismissed.”
“Hai! / Hai! / Hai!”
With that the girls rapidly left the office leaving me alone with the Hokage.
“Hmhmhm it seems you are getting along well with your students in spite of not wanting to be a teacher in the beginning.” Hiruzen pointed out with a smile on his old wrinkled face.
“It’s still annoying that I now only have a few hours of my day to do what I want. Kushina and Izumi are not exactly happy you know? That’s why I want to make them as strong as possible so they can be promoted in a few months and they get off my back.” I said not refuting his statement.
“Ah yes, young Kushina and Izumi. You three really seemed to have hit it off huh? And now you have another 3 young beautiful girls vying for your attention. Hmhmhm you are a lucky man indeed.”
Seeing the man devolve into a perverted giggling fit I let out a sigh. “So, what’s the real reason you’re sending us to wave?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
Hiruzen took on a more serious expression and opened his mouth.
“You see…” The old man took the next few minutes briefing me on the mission details.
“Got it.” I nodded my head in understanding at what I just heard before turning on my heel needing to prepare for the mission as well.
“Akari…”
Pausing mid step at his voice suddenly turning serious I looked at the man over my shoulder to see him giving me a small happy smile.
“Learn from them just as much as they learn from you. You’ll find yourself learning things about yourself that you never knew before.” Hiruzen advised briefly before looking down at his desk again seemingly done with the conversation.
I stayed in place for a moment thinking about what I just heard before teleporting away in a blue flash after muttering a low ‘got it.’
=====
Half an hour later we found ourselves in the front gate ready to leave for our mission.
There was only a slight problem with that however.
“Let go of Sensei already you tomato!”
“Haah! What did you just call me you pipsqueak? Do you want me to beat you up again? Don’t think I’ve forgotten the beating I gave you back at the Academy.”
“N-neesan c-calm down.”
“Hihihi I haven’t heard anyone call you that in a while.”
“It will be different this time! I’m leagues stronger than I was back then!”
“Haah this is embarrassing.”
Kushina and Hanabi couldn’t help but butt heads almost immediately after meeting each other again. Especially with Kushina’s recent bout of clinginess towards me refusing to let go of my arm even after my team had arrived. A behavior that started a little after she got kidnapped and the reason I never said anything about it.
Of course, when Hanabi saw that she immediately demanded Kushina to let go of me and here we were now.
Seeing no other choice, I mentally sighed and decided put a stop to their fighting before they really came to blows. Both of them had a short fuse and it wouldn’t be long before someone threw the first punch.
“Alright that’s enough girls. Remember that we have to leave as soon as possible if we want to provide aid for Kakashi.” I said gently separating the two girls from each other.
“Tsk, fine! / Fine!”
“Haah well I’ll be seeing you two later.” I said turning to Kushina and Izumi who only nodded silently looking sad at my departure even if this was not the first time I left for a mission.
Smiling at them I took a step forward and brought them in for a hug before softly kissing them on the forehead ignoring the shocked gasps behind me.
“Take care, okay? You know what to do already if you need my help.” I whispered softly getting happy nods in return.
“Come back safe.” Kushina whispered in return with a small blush on her cheeks.
“We’ll be waiting.” Izumi said next looking just as flustered.
“Right. Team 6, let’s go!” I ordered before another argument could begin and walked forward.
“Sir!”
Thankfully everyone listened and followed behind me without further delay.
“Bye Akari! Come back soon!”
Hearing the unmistakable voice of Kushina yelling behind me I couldn’t help but smile and wave over my shoulder.
“Hmph! I don’t see what’s so special about those two, other than them having giant breasts.” Hanabi whispered while bringing her arms up to her own chest and looking down in jealousy.
“H-Hanabi, it’s not their fault that they have cowtits.” Came the surprisingly dark voice of Hinata as she also looked down at her chest in jealousy.
‘Haah, just give it a little time Hinata, Hanabi. By the time the Chunin Exams roll around, both of you will have a pair of ‘cowtits’ as well.’ I thought with a blank face.
While I could grant them bigger breasts now with my Template, in order to avoid suspicion I was slowly boosting their growth day by day instead.
“Haah you two.” Yakumo said in a deadpan shaking her head at her teammates.
Of course, Yakumo had nothing to worry about in that department since she already had a nice pair on her already.
=====
(Several Hours Later)
Traveling at a moderate speed it only took us a few hours before we finally reached the Land of Waves though at the end, I had to carry Yakumo on my back since she was not a stamina freak like the rest of us.
Walking underneath the giant bridge I looked at it curiously since it seemed almost done. According to the old man, Kakashi had fought Zabuza about ten days ago meaning that their next battle will take place in less than a week as Team 7 had spent about a month in Waves if I remember correctly.
“That bridge is huge.” Yakumo quietly muttered now on her own feet again as we water walked towards the small island.
“Quiet. We’re officially in enemy territory. Unless you’re absolutely sure no one is nearby, you should always be aware of your surroundings.” I chastised them gently hoping to instill a sense of caution in them.
“S-sorry Sensei.” Yakumo quietly apologized as Hinata and Hanabi by her side activated their Byakugan.
“Sensei was right. There are 4 suspicious people from what I can see though they appear to be regular civilians.” Hanabi whispered deactivating her Byakugan a moment later.
“They’re probably thugs that work under Gato, the person responsible for the current state of the island.” I quietly revealed as I walked behind everyone.
Ten minutes later we found ourselves standing across a moderately big house, at least in comparison to the other houses we had passed. Inside I could sense Kakashi’s chakra signature though it was rather weak at the moment and another one who could only be Sakura due to the low chakra reserves.
“We’re finally here.” I said walking up to the front door and knocking lightly glad that we had made before it got too dark.
“Finally! I’m tired after traveling all the way here without stopping. I didn’t know Sensei was such a slave driver.” Hanabi complained while looking at me with a pout.
“Sorry about that but would you rather us spend the night under a roof or in a tent in the middle of the woods?” I asked with a raised eyebrow only getting frowns in return from the sisters.
“Liar! Sensei could have always used his Mokuton to make us a house.” Hinata denied with a small pout of her own.
“Hahaha busted~” I revealed giving them a grin in amusement. “I just wanted to arrive as soon as possible if I’m honest.
Before anyone could respond the door to the house finally opened grabbing our attention. Turning towards the entrance we saw Sakura nervously peeking her head over a small opening of the door with a kunai held in her hand.
As soon as she spotted us though Sakura breathed out a sigh of relief before opening the door the whole way.
“W-what are you guys doing here?” Sakura asked curiously before finally looking up at me and blushing in slight embarrassment. “U-umm not that I’m not happy to see you guys of course.”
Studying Sakura for a moment I saw that she also looked like her Shippuden counterpart except her hair was still long at this point. Funnily enough though she was even flatter than Hinata and Hanabi were upon first meeting them.
Raising an eyebrow at her current demeanor I shrugged a moment later. “Orders from the Hokage. Now where is Kakashi? I want to speak with him.” I said stepping forward forcing Sakura to step aside with my team following behind me.
“Kakashi-Sensei is upstairs but he was injured during a battle so he is resting now.” Sakura said in a rush.
“And your teammates?” I asked while leaning against the nearest wall.
“They are out training right now. They should be back any minute now.” Came the sudden voice of Kakashi as he slowly made his way down the stairs.
“No wonder I didn’t hear that loud moron yelling his lungs off.” Hanabi whispered quietly.
“Sister please be nice.” Hinata whispered back only getting Hanabi to turn her head away with a huff.
“There you are Kakashi. So, it’s true that you got your ass handed to you by that weakling Zabuza.” I said in a way of greeting with a wave of my hand.
“Maa maa we can’t all be descendants of a legendary clan with a powerful bloodline, can we?” Kakashi said teasingly with an eye smile.
I just stared back at the man with a deadpan as that description technically fitted him too even if his Sharingan was borrowed.
“Haah, just get over here so I can heal you already.” I said tiredly already used to the man’s antics from my knowledge of the man and the few times I had gone on a mission with him.
“Hai, hai. I’ll be in your capable hands then.” Kakashi said sitting down on the floor and throwing his crutches away.
“Heal him? Then are you a medic ninja just like Tsunade-sama?” Sakura asked with a look of wonder on her face.
“Correct. Though from what I heard that old hag hasn’t done much healing lately.” I said nonchalantly as I got to work on healing Kakashi.
“U-umm is it alright for you to be insulting Tsunade-sama?” Sakura asked nervously.
“She’s my aunt. I can call her whatever I wish.” I said simply.
“R-right hahaha.” Sakura nervously laughed and didn’t say anything anymore.
“I think you’re probably the only one that can say such a thing about her and not get scolded for it.” Kakashi said calmly letting out a sigh of relief when I finished healing a certain part of his body.
“Sensei is the best~” Hanabi said puffing up her almost nonexistent chest proudly.
Hearing the door open again a middle-aged woman came in before stopping when she noticed the new additions in her living room.
“Oh my, are these friends of yours Kakashi-san?”
“Indeed, they are Tsunami-san. They are reinforcements from the village.” Kakashi said.
“Oh, that’s wonderful news~ Please make yourselves feel at home everyone.” Tsunami said with a bow of her head.
“You don’t have to worry about us Tsunami-san. We will get our own food and place to sleep. In fact, here. Consider this as a thank you for putting up with us for the remainder of the mission.” I said in dismissal summoning a scroll with a puff of smoke and throwing it Hinata’s way causing her to let out a cute eep but catching it anyways.
“Hinata be a dear and unseal that will you? It’s about a month’s worth of food.” I asked before going back to concentrating on healing Kakashi.
“H-hai!”
From the scroll a big bag appeared filled with bread, fruits, rice and a bunch of other food once Hinata unsealed it.
“B-but shinobi-san! This is too much! We can’t possibly accept this when you are already helping protect my father.” Tsunami said with a shake of the head.
“Just take it. I have plenty more where that came from.” I said with a bored tone and stood up to my feet again having finally finished healing Kakashi.
“And please call me Akari from now on. These are my students Hinata, Hanabi and Yakumo. Say hello girls.” I said finally introducing myself.
Once introductions were out of the way I lead my team outside as it was getting rather late and the girls looked exhausted.
“Oh? Are you going to use that jutsu Sensei?” Hanabi asked in excitement.
“What jutsu? And why are we outside right now? Don’t tell me you guys are planning to camp out here?” Sakura asked in confusion.
“Patience Sakura. Just sit back and watch.” Kakashi said calmly having followed us outside.
“Mokuton: Shichuka no Jutsu (Wood Release: Four-Pillar House Technique).” I whispered out with my hands on the Snake seal.
The ground suddenly trembled for a moment before wooden pillars sprouted from the ground and took the shape of a traditional Japanese two-story house a second later.
“’Gasp’ Mokuton! So, the rumors were true. A member of the Senju Clan ended up inheriting Shodaime-sama’s bloodline.” Sakura said in a surprised tone while looking at me in awe.
“Of course, they’re true. Sensei is the strongest Shinobi to come out of the village according to father.” Hinata said in a proud tone with Hanabi and Yakumo nodding along with her.
“WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT, DATTEBAYO!?”
A sudden shout behind us caught our attention making us turn to see the forms of Naruto and Sasuke looking disheveled.
‘This should prove interesting.’ I thought silently looking at the glare being sent my way by Sasuke and the incredulous one by Naruto.
